My only complaints are that there were erroneous charges on my bill at checkout (valet charges even though I had no car) that took time to clear up, and banquet services left a little to be desired.

- Vanessa (6/5): - • The guest paid for an upgraded room on a higher floor for a better view but instead faced an empty construction lot. • The room was small, and the bathroom vanity lacked space, forcing the guest to move between areas to do makeup. • The hairdryer was missing a nozzle and was very basic, and by the time a replacement was offered, the guest no longer had time to use it. • The guest had hoped for a better stay.

I was celebrating my marriage with you guys and you guys made my experience very magical and beautiful, even though you guys were so busy you guys handled everything with ease and poise , deeja ty so much your super sweet and great with guest , aswell as Aaron and Sydney. You guys know how to make a guest feel valued and heard. The rooms are always clean and spacious and the beds are always soft and comfortable. Will always come back here !!!

- hilmill (4/5): Don’t Recommend - Walls are paper thin — we could hear every toilet flush and door slam from our neighbors next door. Elevators were frequently out of order, and only one could get guests to the 20th floor. There is no M Club, so we opted for free breakfast vouchers, but ate out most mornings. The rooftop bar is a scene. Food and beverages were fine but the kitchen was brutally slow to the point that the manager comped one of our dishes.

From the minute we got there all the staff was amazing and Sanjjana Jaiswal was especially accommodating at check in! She offered us to sign up for the hotel rewards program and to have late check out! We came to Austin to see "THE CROOKS" 10-year reunion at Antones and it was so great that all we had to do was walk across the street to the club. Loved the rooftop bar and the oyster bar too! We will be back!

It was in walking distance to everything or a short car ride The car parking is terrible . There’s no where to really park that’s accessible if you want to go exploring so you basically have to use their valet which compared to the room rates is exorbitant.

Great view and walking distance from the bars and restaurant that we went to. Amazing and can’t wait to stay there again. There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Everything was 10!

The outside quest that was disruptive, the police beating on the door on our hall (not our room) was not discreet at all.
- crispE2037VD (2/5): Rude employees and too many hidden charges they can’t seem to explain - The hotel completed robbed me for an extra $380 and when I asked about the extra fees they gave the run around and couldn’t explain to me why they charged me extra. The guy at front was rude to me and my girlfriend just for asking simple questions. My room kept getting hot in the middle of the night. The valet parking was outrageous and slow. What I thought would be a really nice stay was very disappointing. My friends stayed at Aloft where they spent less and had a much better. My brother heard the bar tender make racist comments about him under his breath. The only two employees there that I had a pleasant experience with was the bell hop and the front desk guy who worked the later shift. NOT the guy working morning shift, he was very rude. I will not be going back to westin and neither should anyone reading this.

You can walk right down to 6th street or walk to Rainey street. Great rooftop pool. When our flight was delayed they were very accommodating.

- 720raquely (10/5): Quiet, walkable, and rooftop views. - The Westin downtown is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to explore downtown and the surrounding city while still having a quiet place to rest in the heart of Austin’s nightlight. The staff is very friendly and happy to share tips and things to see in the area. The central location also made it easy to walk to popular tourist sites like sixth street and the bat bridge. We didn’t have any issues with the construction in the area causing delays to our car share arrivals or departures. The pool and gym are both on the rooftop and offer good views. The gym equipment is well maintained with towels and bottled water available, and the pool was clean and a comfortable temperature on a hot day. Lounge Chairs were limited by the pool but it was easy enough to sit poolside or in the pool to relax. Poolside bar service was also available, with some nice non-alcoholic agua frescas to choose from in addition to some fun drinks with Texas flair. The rooms and beds are consistently excellent for a good nights sleep, which is something I have come to appreciate from Westin properties. We were even right across from the elevators and it was still so quiet! This was a trip with friends and we had plenty of room for all of us to relax. My only criticisms are that the barn door to the bathroom could benefit from a latch, and a solid material door. It has a frosted glass window built into the door, so when you turn on the bathroom light at night it illuminates the room. I would stay here again if I needed a spot downtown again for sure. It was an excellent value, great location, and a perfect place to relax.

Also, where people don’t really look at was the guys that were getting the cars from valet were amazing. The room could’ve been a little bit cleaner like the shower for sure. The toilet leaked water when flushed. Location of the hotel is a no… if you’re not paying Valet, there’s no way to know where to park. Also, upon arriving, they kind of had trouble checking me in and the lady kind of judged my appearance because I was traveling I guess.

- lisa (6/5): - I didn't realize this hotel was against the party district. Upon arrival the front desk mentioned it was quieter on higher floors and upsaled us $30 a night for the quiet. However, even from the 15th floor the building vibrated from the noise. It may have been quieter on other side but was told moving wasn't a good idea as they had construction on that side. The restaurant was average. The cocktail pool rooftop bar was really nice except they blast AI music everywhere so you can't even have a quiet conversation (at least pick a chill Buddah Bar vibe if you must). Since the bar was mostly middle age couples and up looking for some quiet after a day in Austin the least they could do is turn it down a notch or play real music. It has the potential to be really nice if so.
- ryanmF3160VM (4/5): Meh. Awful valet experience. - Location is okay. Entrance lobby is clean. Fitness center is serviceable. Here was the big issue: Valet took 40 minutes to retrieve my vehicle. Granted, they were busy and it was prime time in the morning (8 am), but still it's unacceptable. There were crowds of people waiting outside the entrance for their cars. The hotel had only 1 runner getting the vehicles. Would I stay here again when in the area? No.
