El personal fue muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La habitación estaba limpia, cómoda y tranquila. El desayuno estuvo muy bueno y con varias opciones. Me sentí muy cómodo durante toda mi estadía. Definitivamente recomiendo este hotel a cualquier persona que visite la ciudad. Es un lugar muy agradable para hospedarse.

They refused to give me better choice. and so I did not accept their offer. P.S. To Mr. Ibrahim: The incident has been officially recorded with Booking.com Customer Service. I have already submitted a complaint regarding this matter, and my statements are accurate. The hotel assigned the room I originally reserved to another guest and subsequently offered me a lower-category room, while refusing to provide an equivalent or better alternative. As evidence, I was refunded the amount I paid due to the hotel’s failure to honor my original reservation. Additionally, this incident has been formally documented with Booking.com’s Customer Service and Complaints Department.

• Rabiul (1/5): I don’t recommend. Find somewhere better even if you pay little more. - Nothing except the location and staff. Staff were kind and welcoming but the place looks like haunted. Nothing. It was the worst place we ever stayed in. Everything was dirty, so many hairs on the bed sheet, toilet didn’t flush, internet didn’t work, the wall paper was torn , the carpet was dusty and it was so much noisy. The elevator was also a bit scary.

The room was spotless, cozy, and quiet, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The attention to cleanliness and comfort really stood out. What truly made my visit special was the staff. The staff are accommodating, brother Adam, Mustafa and Mohammad. Thank you for the warm welcome and for the assistance. In a low price very recommendable it's in the center of Cairo. The socket of our charger it's not compatible but thanks to the staff they let us borrow their adaptor.

• Dean (1/5): Bad - We looked for 2 bedroom apartments and booked Hawaii residencies as a 2 Bed Apartment. On arrival, we found that one of the bedrooms was actually locked and unavailable to access to us. NEVER have I seen a 2 bed apartment with one bedroom "locked". We contacted the representative, who suggested that if more than one bedroom was required, then the cost would increase. A representative from the owner arrived and unlocked the bedroom, and informed us that there was a "mix up," and NO further fee was payable for the use of the second bedroom. We paid the full amount as of Booking.com to the representative, and she left - The NEXT day, the booking.com form had been amended, and the cost INCREASED .. actually, by $100. After we had paid the FULL AMOUNT. We found this to be undertaken by the "brother" or a family member. The "Brother" then continued to contact us, saying we owed more money, when the payment had already been made. On the 4th day of our week stay, we awoke to find the "brother" sat in the apartment, demanding extra money and passports from one of our party members. This is disgraceful behaviour, not only on the part of "locking rooms", but then blatantly entering the property, when clients were in residence, and ASLEEP, and waiting for one or more to WAKE to demand more money. Truly, disgraceful. To date, there has been NO APOLOGY, simply a demand, that the week stay we had paid for, be cut short by one day, due to our "refusal" to pay extra. The place is great, the "brother" and the greed, selfishness, and demanding nature, which is completely unnecessary and truly disrespectful, is not. • Alex (1/5): Terrible, nasty. - The location, and elevator to the hotel is the only good thing. The bed was as hard as the floor. The bathroom is small, leaky, peeling paint. Rotting Gypsum board. The fridge was not on, nor was it clean, and smelled very bad. The ACs in our rooms were very inefficient and practically useless. Taking over 30 minutes to safely cool the room even the filters were clean!. The room quickly filled with the smell of cigarette smoke from other residents within the "hotel". They were likely smoking in the hallway and not in their rooms. in the end we had to pay for another hotel in the building with cleaner comfier beds. This is definitely NOT worth paying for in advance.

SHOWER WITH COLD WATER !!!!!! - Nice location everything ! lots of mosquitoes inside room, can clearly seen on the ceiling, but it was to high to reach, so no action could have done ... there was kind of back door or balcony door could not close at all, the lady staff did try at the beginning but gave up and even tried to hide it with the curtain right in front of us OMG ... both the water tap and shower were very weak and no hot water (only this room) at all ... after several attempts, the young male staff suggested us to !!!!!! SHOWER WITH COLD WATER !!!!!! OMFG ... come on ... my mum is an old lady and he noticed that too ... he also claimed that there would be some technicians to fix the problem the next day ... and of course no one showed up at all ... my husband is an Egyptian and due to the country regulations, we had to stay in separated rooms and could not visit each other's room, thanks to this special incident, both my mum and me had to shower in my husband room, and he had to wait outside at the lobby until we finished ... thank you very much Downtown Inn.

The Inn is in the 6th floor so you wont be disturbed by the noise of the city nightlife. All members of the staff were very friendly and professional and mr. Ibrahim, the owner, helped us with all our additional requests without delays, any time of the day. Breakfast was included in the price so thats a bonus. The Inn offered fair prices for the additional available services, such as guided tours or pick-ups and drop-offs, without any hidden costs. Recommended to anyone who is looking for a value-for-money stay in Cairo and a unique, authentic experience.

The staff were what made it, very welcoming and always offering tea! The breakfast had an omelette, tomatoes, tasty fig jam and plenty of bread plus a coffee/tea. The staff kindly stored our bags for us at the end of our stay before our evening flight. The room had been recently renovated, which was nice, but this would have benefited from a bit more attention to detail! (A cleaner rug and the panelling on the wall being better fitted for example, but to be expected given price. Good value for money.)

The staff is very polite and helpful. Adam helped organise a few trips and airport drop-off. It was nice to have someone who you can rely on in a foreign country. I didn't realise it was a shared bathroom, so that wouldn't be my preference. But it's good if you are on a budget.
• Petros (9/5): Superb - A descent place to stay especially if you are on a tight budget and you are not looking for something extravagant. Great value for money. Good breakfast and Located in the heart of Cairo's city centre. Extra plus the very friendly staff always ready to help us. Lovely stay overall !

• Victoria (9/5): Excellent location - The hotel's position is optimal to visit the city and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Every person of the staff we met was really friendly and helpful. We had the possibility to leave our luggage before and after the check-in which was great to visit the city without carrying all our bags. The bed was comfy and clean room. I really recommend this hotel!

• Varsha (2/5): Please avoid!! - The location was the only thing although the noise from the night club nearby was annoying. It's close to a lot of eateries and stores. The room was way too small for 2 people and our 2 bags. The bathroom was extremely cramped and the water would stop completely from time to time. The breakfast was so small and basic that we had to go out and eat at another place. But the worst part was that one of the staff members came to our room and shouted at my husband of 17 years for bringing 'a girl', who happened to be me, into his room stealthily!!!! It escalated so fast and was so nasty that he even asked us to show him proof that we are husband and wife. We had checked in the previous night after giving our passport copies and the staff member could have just checked his own records before barging into our room and making allegations of 'immoral activities'. Although the manager apologized to me, the incident was something which made me feel angry and emotional. Not a place I would recommend.

• John (1/5): Sunk mattresses - The staff was very friendly. There is a 24hr reception so late check-in wasn't an issue. This is the first time I give a bad review - my standards are very low so I don't expect much from hotels but it was impossible to sleep. The mattress is so sunk that your head is at the level of the board but your lower back almost touches the ground. I've traveled to every corner of Africa and slept on hay mattresses that were more comfortable than this one. I have no clue where they got the mattress from but it would have been more comfortable to sleep on the ground. This is the reason for my 1 star review, it is a hotel where you can't sleep. I could go on about the fact that the bed sheets were obviously not washed, there was no toilet paper in the room etc ... but the reality is that until they invest in some decent (not even good) mattresses, this cannot be used as a hotel.
