• Busi (8/5): - La posizione direttamente sul mare con una bella piscina e una con idromassaggio. La vista anche era molto bella. La camera era un po'buia e il bagno molto piccolo. Non c'era acqua calda.
• Sylvia (9/5): Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis - Tolle Lage direkt am Strand. Sehr ruhig gelegen und trotzdem ist man fußläufig schnell im Geschehen. Bars, Restaurants, Supermärkte und Autovermietungen in der Nähe. Unser Zimmer war im Erdgeschoss mit Terrasse direkt am Pool mit Blick auf das Meer - besser geht es nicht! Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und gaben uns auch Tipps für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen. Handtücher wurden täglich gewechselt. Wenn man etwas kritisieren möchte dann die fehlenden Ablage Möglichkeiten im Bad sowie keinen vorhandenen Föhn. Das Mobilar ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
• Nejc (9/5): Had a great time, would recommend! - We liked the location of the hotel, also the view and access to the pool through the balcony door. The location was superb and we were surprised by the renewed bathroom. Also the cat was very cuddly. :) A few more kitchen appliances would make our stay even better. More knives and a cutting board for example. We also expected there to be some cleaning cleaning supplies (a sponge, detergent...), and some essential ingredients for cooking (salt, pepper, oil...).

• Sara (5/5): - La posizione era ottima, avevamo il balcone affacciato alla piscina e al mare. Lo staff era molto accogliente. Purtroppo devo lamentarmi sulla pulizia perché la stanza era sporca, c’era la polvere e le asciugamani erano sporche. C’era sempre puzza di muffa e scarico soprattutto in bagno. Inoltre dalle foto la stanza sembrava molto più grande.

Es halfen immer alle bei etwaigen Fragen, alles war sehr unk - Der sehr freundliche Chef, das Personal freundlich und die Strandlage. Für eine Gruppe von 5 Leuten war die Wohneinheit zu klein. 1 Zimmer konnte nicht klimatisiert werden da die Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer ist. Grundsätzlich war es für unseren Trip ausreichend. Dass das Zimmer und Bad sehr in die Jahre gekommen ist.

Das Strandabteil einfach nur schön und die Liegen super gemütlich. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren.

• Eric B (5/5): Déçu par cet hôtel - Balcon avec vue sur mer. Accès facile à la piscine et à la plage. Parking gratuit. Restaurants assez variés à proximité. Kitchenette minimaliste, quasi inexploitable car très mal équipée. Le système d'eau chaude est visiblement sous-dimensionné pour l'hôtel (pas d'eau chaude en soirée, ni le matin). Pas d'espace dans la salle de bain pour poser ses affaires de toilette (pas de tablette). Chambres mal insonorisées, votre tranquillité dépendra de discrétion (ou non) de vos voisins.

We were also positively impress by the service minded personnel. However, the cleaning was poor. The floor was often full of sand and dust were never cleaned from the surfaces.

• Elli (8/5): - Freundliches Personal. Tolle Lage. Direkt am Meer, fussläufig alles super zu erreichen. Hier und das braucht es aber dringend Instandhaltung. Auch ein wenig sauberer hätte es unterm Bett sein können. Mobiliar schon sehr veraltet. Dennoch, wir würden wieder kommen.
• Daniela (8/5): Top Lage!!! - Top Lage. Direkt am Strand und man erreicht Tavernas und Shops in wenigen Gehminuten. Das Personal ist freundlich und lustig. Die Zimmer sind großzügig und mit dem notwendigsten ausgestattet. Der Pool ist sauber und die Anlage ist gepflegt. Der Strand ist sauber und schön. Die Temperatur der Dusche ist nicht regulierbar, es wechselt zwischen Kalt und Heiß. Meiner Tochter wurde aus Versehen das T-Shirt mit der Bettwäsche mitgenommen. Leider war niemand sehr bemüht es zu finden, oder es uns zu ersetzten. Sehr schade.

• Marin (10/5): Strandhotel, ein bisschen einfach, aber sehr komfortabel, nett. - Hotel am Strand, hat auch ein eigenes Schwimmbecken, Unser Zimmer hatte einen Balkon und brieten Ausblick aufs Meer, Das Hotel ist vom einfachen Qualität, aber hat alles was man braucht: sehr breites Zimmer, Esstisch auf dem Balkon, Küchennische mit Essbesteck, Kühlschrank, Kochplatte, Kanne. Es wird von einer Familie betrieben. Es gibt auch eine Snackbar. Die ganze Zeit gibts jemand der dirt anwesend ist, Sehr net und hilfsbereit, Die Bar bietet verschiedene Getränke und Gerichte zu sehr normalen Preisen, In 300 m sind verschiedene Läden und Kaffees zu finden. Die Beschilderung zum Hotel ist nicht gut. Das Hotel befindet sich am Ende einer Sackgasse, hinter paar andere Hotele und Parkplätzen, Es hat auch einen eigenen Parkplatz, Der Weg, Pfad zur Rezeption liegt am Ende diesen Parkplatzes. Wir konnten den Weg nicht sehen, die dort eingeparkte Wagen machten ihn unsichtbar, Ich habe dem Eigentümer gesagt, er kann einen Pfeil an der Wand aufhengen wo ist die Rezeption zu findet,
• Marco (7/5): Struttura carina, in ottima posizione, con un rapporto qualità prezzo buono. - Posizione ottima, su bella spiaggia, a soli 10 min a piedi dal centro Malia. La pulizia non è il loro forte. La musica greca in piscina era sempre a volume molto alto.
• Nadia (7/5): Magnifique vue et emplacement, mais établissement veillessant au niveau des infrastructures, personnel très gentil - L’emplacement , chambre vue sur mer magnifique, place en face de l’établissement, personnel très gentil , nous ont ajouté un matelas 1 personne pour ma fille de 12 ans car le depliable impossible pour un enfant de 4 ans ….. Chambre communicante pas top pour un couple et 3 ados …… la vétusté de l’établissement et la piscine avec beaucoup de sables , il faudrait des douches juste avant de rentrer , fermeture du resto à 18 h , Ps pratique du tout , , kitchenette très rudimentaire…..
• Doris (8/5): - Beste Lage - die Anlage mit nettem Poolbereich liegt direkt vor einem wunderschönen Strand. Das Apartment war für uns als Familie ausreichend und sehr nett - alles in allem SEHR EMPFEHLENSWERT :-) Tatsächlich "Kleinigkeiten": Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Meerblick, allerdings leider keine Schattenmöglichkeit am Balkon (die meisten der Meerblick-Balkons liegen allerdings unter Tags im Schatten). Die Küchenutensilien sowie teilweise vorhandenen Küchengeräte würden einen Austausch vertragen :-)
• KirstenK (9/5): Great hotel - The hotel was right on the beach I had a wonderful room with lots of space and the most incredible balcony! Looking at the sea with the perfect view of the sunset to the left. The staff and facilities were amazing! The location perfect The only issue was I couldn’t use the aircon. Because it smelt of mold when I turned it on - the smell was awful so I didn’t use it I tried to clean it with wipes I bought and it was full of black. This needs to be cleaned professionally. However as it was located next to the sea I moved the bed near the patio and slept with the doors open I was on the third floor so it was ok
• Harbin (6/5): - Die Lage direkt am Strand war genial, auch die Besitzer & das Personal waren sehr höflich und haben versucht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Leider waren unsere Zimmer garnicht wie auf den Bildern. Die Zimmer waren sehr klein und auch sehr heruntergekommen. Es wurde zwar jeden Tag geputzt aber trotzdem nicht sehr sauber.

• sandro (8/5): - Spiaggia di sabbia molto bella, con possibilità noleggio set ombrelloni/sdraio a 7 euro. Mare con fondale basso, ma mosso anche se con onde lunghe che hanno permesso al mio bambino di 3 anni di fare il bagno. Vista dalla camera spettacolare sul mare e sulla costa. Maria e suo fratello, sempre molto gentili e disponibili ad ogni richiesta. Niente. Solo due consigli: 1- mettere le persiane o delle tende più scure 2- mettere le zanzariere anche nelle finestre che hanno il sensore per l'aria condizionata, così che si possa lasciare aperta di notte per godere della brezza.

• Paul (7/5): A little nice beach-front hotel at the west end of Malia beach - I return to this property every summer. The owner is my friend and quite nice. The hotel is located directly at the west end of Malia beach. The location is a little far from Malia center so it's relatively quiet. There is a small nice pool between the beach and the property. The room is specious and has a useful kitchen. You can dry washed underwear on the cloth hanger outside. The beauty of sunrise on the horizon of the ocean viewed from this property is unparalleled and stunning. It is not a bargain hotel any more but it is not a bad choice in busy Malia. The plumbing has always been the problem with this hotel. But in the past few years they have renovated and improved bath rooms. My room's plumbing was also renovated, but the toilet bowl still had minor leak. This used to be a quite reasonable bargain hotel, but with renovation and inflation, it is not cheap any more. I hope they won't raise the price any higher.
• Sandra (8/5): Loved it - felt incredibly happy there. Would definitely return. - Everything was very convenient: Hotel, pool, cafe and sea front all within metres of each other. Atmosphere was great: very relaxed, family feel, staff were very welcoming. Could have cleaned under the beds (was dusty) but that is a minor thing. A toaster would be a handy addition to the room.

Staff were amazing and made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The rooms were perfect and had everything you need. We would 100% recommend to anyone and will definitely return. nothing everything was amazing.
• Brian (10/5): Small slice of Greek Paradise! - The beach, the view, the pool and the staff were all excellent. Clean room and clean towels every other day. Tasty food, good selection of drinks and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. The fact it is family run makes such a difference because they genuinely care. Would definitely stay again! Small complaint regarding the shower head wall holder. Bit flimsy and cheap :-( The water pressure was excellent but the wall holder couldn't hold the shower head at full pressure so would fly off and spray water all over the shower room. Apart from that it was excellent.

• Ilkay (2/5): - Die schlimmste Unterkunft, die wir als Familie je gebucht haben. Von übelstem Schimmelgeruch, schmutziger Bettwäsche und Geschirr. Unterirdisch was hier für den Preis und angeblich Superior Appartement geboten wurde, Bilder entsprechen nicht der Realität! Wenn ihr es doch ausprobieren möchtet definitiv ohne Vorauszahlung, wir sind nach 1 Nacht ausgecheckt und haben keinen Cent wiederbekommen, da der Hotelier nichts von den Mängeln wissen wollte und hat alles auf Expedia geschoben. Expedia beruft sich hier auf nonrefundable Rate des Hotels und kann absolut nicht weiterhelfen. Pure Enttäuschung!!!!
• Maria (4/5): not recommended - The beach was beautiful and so was the pool area. It was very dirty. Yellow stains on the wall in the bathrooms. Dust in all corners and stains on linen and towels. You could see that it had been washed, but I can't dry myself with a towel with red spots on it. All the facilities are pretty worn out. We left after one night instead of 4 nights. Some work on the place and they have a pearl. And maybe a owner that is still nice even though we say what is wrong. We didn't even ask for a refund, we just said why we were leaving.

• Spencer (10/5): - This self catering hotel suited us perfectly as it had a great pool which was not busy and it was only a few steps down onto the sandy beach. The towels in the room were changed daily (if we wanted them to be changed) and beds made etc. It is not the 4 star facility that some people would want, but if you do not want all the bells and whistles and just want a lovely family run self catering hotel in the best location then you cannot beat this one.

• Tomasz (8/5): Great view of the sea, good value for money - Proximity to the beach. Big apartment with an overview of the sea. Listening to sea waves crashing while you sleep is a super relaxing experience. Proximity to shops and restaurants. Rooms were always kept clean and tidy! The bathroom had some plumbing issues. We could use a little bit of introduction with what is available, wifi, excursions etc, and the staff could be more chatty - but maybe it was a language problem.

We also had a pool and beach right outside of our hotel rooms The property was great and get service from hotel staff. The only thing was that our key was hard to open our door and close our door.

• Matthew (9/5): Great location, wonderful staff, short walk to so many restaurants and shopping! - Beach front and short walk to many restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed the fun activities close by, with the quiet escape to this property. Staff were very friendly and service on the beach was great.
• Carrie (10/5): A bit of the Old Malia - The view from our two rooms was the wonderful roaring sea. The family run hotel felt like home from home. Nothing was too much trouble. Because of the hotels position on the coast, it wasn't possible to have too many sunbeds on the beach in front of the hotel. This was not the case, the nearer you get to the centre of Malia. There were plenty of sunbeds around the clean pool, and those on the beach were very reasonably priced, unlike some of the bigger resorts that we saw. The restaurant bar served varied breakfast options and light snacks, and one could ask for something from your sunbed, and the attentive and helpful staff would bring it to you, luxury! Yanis's Freddo Cappuccino was perfect! A Ten minute walk to supermarkets and good restaurants. We would return!
• Nata_vasilisa (10/5): Exceptional - Hotel is located on the beach, sunbeds around pool are free. Beach is clean, there are enough beds for visitors (6-10 euro in September) Room is not big, but have necessary equipment: mini-fridge, stovetop, kettle, spoons, etc. There is either terrace or balcony, so you may enjoy your breakfast with sea view. We spend 5 days already here and like location much: shops and taverns are in 5-10 distance walk, rent a car and travel agencies are also close to it. Room cleaning happens every day. Staff is extremely helpful. Please calibrate your expectations: it is value for money hotel, not luxary facility.

• Merle (7/5): Room for improvement - The pool. Water was warm and pool was clean. The beach. Location was good. Renovated bathroom. The staff Sofia and Alex. The AC. Not taking into account our neighbours, the place was quiet during night time. The floors are thin, we could hear everything the people upstairs did (e.g walking, using the toilet, throwing up etc). The room could use more things, there were no chairs in the room, only outside. Kitchen was ill-equipped, there was no dishsoap, washcloth, oven etc. Also no shower gel. No place to wash clothes. The most disturbing part was that anyone could enter the hotel area and there were constantly people using the pool who were not staying at the hotel. We felt there was no privacy. The free chairs around the pool were really dirty. Only given one worn out pillow but you can ask for more. The lighting in the room was very poor and the water pressure from the shower very small. Our comments are just things the hotel can improve on and we are not attacking the owners. Last recommendation would be to answer people's feedback more pleasantly, these are things that can make the stay even better, the answers so far have been very rude.

Nothing
• Laurie (10/5): Exceptional - Requested a quiet room overlooking beach and got it. Beautiful scenery and great beach. Convenient for grocery stores, etc. Ancient ruins are very close. Airport half hour away. Owner is very welcoming. Can get snack at hotel. The local economy is driven by tourism so you have to live with that. Some hotels prefer that you don't walk on their beach if you are not staying with them.
• Wayne (10/5): Excellent hotel with superb location and friendly owners! Great pool and sea view! - Excellent location with balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The owners are super, really friendly making sure that we have everything that we need. The room is cleaned and the towels changed everyday, the food at lunch is good especially the Gyros. The location is far enough to be quiet whilst only a few minutes walk to bars and restaurants. The main strip is more of a party town but can be avoided without problems. We travelled with 3 kids and found loads to do mini golf, water sports, surfing, go-karting (all within 10 minutes walk apart from surfing 20 minute drive). I would definitely come back, the most relaxing week with kids I’ve ever had.
• Ксения (10/5): Exceptional - It is the most beautiful place in Greece. The host is amazing person. He can help you with everything, staff is polite and friendly. And location is great. The beach is 10m from hotel, so you have amazing view from you room. The swimming pool is big and clean. Now it is my favorite place to have a vacation. 100% I'll come back again)) there is nothing to dislike here
• Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. The location is really great as the hotel is located next to the sea and just 10 minutes away from the center of Malia. The owner of the hotel is friendly and hospitable. He made our living even more comfortable and pleasant. The room was clean during all our time in Laplaya. Restaurant has a marvelous view on the sea. Beach is equipped with everything you need (sunbeds, umbrellas, tables and a shower). This hotel is good for those who enjoy family calm evenings and for those who prefer active night live as well. We will definitely come to this hotel again! -
• Bruno (1/5): Not recommended! cleanlinesses is an issue! - Hotel is one step from the beach. The room was not clean at all! worst part was the toilet which still had yellow stains from previous guests. Dust was everywhere and pool was very dirty. I do not recommend this place.

• Judith (7/5): A pleasant hotel right on the beach and close to shops and supermarkets - Our arrival flights were 2 hours delayed, we contacted the hotel and the owner stayed up till 2 in the morning to give us our keys :-) Mattresses rather firm. To lock the door to our rooms we had to take the key fob out of the electricity holder to use the lock but the power went off instantly leaving us in the dark to use the key in the lock before putting it back in its holder.

• Jana (9/5): Beautiful view - The place is perfect. We had an amazing sea view. The swimming pool was clean and there were not so many people. The beach is just next to the swimming pool. The owner and the staff were very friendly. The hot water in the shower changed every 5 seconds from ice to warm to boiling - it was very difficult to take a shower. This needs to be fixed as it was very uncomfortable during the whole week. The electric cooker was very old and did not work very well. The kitchen could be equipped better. If you fix these two things, you will be a paradise on Earth :-)

• Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - Location was very good in a quite place on the beach and in 10 vinutes walk to bar street. Room wasn't very comfortable, but it has a good price for such location. Owner was polite but can't help you and other staff was good.
• Eugene (10/5): I come back to thishottel every sammer from now - Pros: Just WoW for this excellent deal we got room with sea view private beach, supermarket was 5 min by foot,very close to the main BAR road(5-8 min by foot) where all the madness happens .Room was cleaned every day. Cons: Manager is little bit crazy, asking to be quite after 20:00 if you sit outside besides he not allows to drink your own alcoholic drinks near the pool...
