A4543NRstephenk (10/5): Excellent hotel, superb location - We were so pleased with the Hotel Columbia. The location could not be better, with all of Telluride walkable from the hotel, the main drag two short blocks away, and the wonderful, free gondola just across the street, as is the river path. We rode the gondola up the mountain at different times of day and night, and the views were stunning, the ride fun. Go just before sunset for colorful views of the Telluride valley, and at night for fantastic stargazing. Our room was large and comfortable, and the balcony with two chairs made for a great setting in the morning and evening. The European-style towel warmer in the large, modern bathroom was a welcome touch, since we had wet bathing suits after visiting thermal pools in Ouray and Durango. The shower was heavenly thanks to its steam feature. It took a minute to figure out but we loved it. Housekeeping was solid and efficient, and room furnishings were modern and high-quality. The staff was friendly and helpful, and getting our car (valet parking) was usually fast and easy.

Our initial room had buckled carpet, blood stains on the bedding, only one bedside area with a lamp that didn’t work and smelled like heavy Mr.Clean. When we asked to be moved, our second room didn’t smell but both rooms had a Murphy bed which was difficult to get in and out of, and worm, flat pillows. Breakfast was not typical of a B&B but more like a Best Western. For the money we spent, we were terribly disappointed in this experience.

BoardingPass778696 (10/5): Charming Hotel in the Heart of Telluride - Hotel Columbia was a beautiful and historic hotel right at the entrance to the gondola. The rooms were immaculate. All of the staff were so accommodating I wish I remembered all of their names. The gentleman who checked us in, Nelson, gave great local recommendations and was always willing to give directions or just chat. Considering there was no restaurant open at the time we visited; they had a lovely breakfast offering. The burritos were local and AWESOME! Food was fresh and replenished. Definitely worth the price!

Situated in the middle of everything, no car needed. Edward and his staff takes care of everything we ever need while visiting. Be it just a warm good morning smile or recommendations to plan your day, or dinner reservations. Gondola right at the front door which takes you to Mountain Village, where you can ski, hike, shop, eat, or catch some evening entertainment. We absolutely love Telluride and will be back again. drajaba2099 (10/5): The Best and Comfortable Hotel In Small Town - There are no words to describe the comfort and its location of this hotel. We arrived late around 1245 AM and they still gave us a secure access to the hotel without any issues. They welcome us the following morning, which was a nice gesture even when we're very tired from a flight delay and a long drive. The room was perfect! The heated bathroom floor was something we've never experienced as well as the view of the Chicago Peak and the Trico Peak from the balcony. The Telluride Station is a minute walk for a free gondola ride and if want to eat out, there are lots of options and they are. We recommend Smuggler Union Restaurant & Brewery, Baked in Telluride and The Coffee Cowboy. Can't wait to come back!

They made us feel welcomed and valued. The hotel is located a couple blocks over from the gondola station and a couple blocks down from restaurants and shops - easily walkable. Our room was large, bathroom was clean with good water pressure and lots of hot water and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included with eggs, bagels/toast, smoked salmon, french toast, yogurt and cereal. We paid to park and it's worth it vs having to find street parking. You park in a small alley and leave your keys - the staff moves cars as needed. Easy and efficient.

From helping with luggage to local dinner and sight seeing recommendations, everything exceeded our expectations. bethyb924 (10/5): Nothing compares to Hotel Columbia in Telluride! - Hotel Columbia has the very best location in the gorgeous mountain town of Telluride. Right at the gondola but also right by so many great restaurants, bars and shopping (including The Cosmopolitan off the lobby). The entire staff is so friendly and makes you feel welcome and a part of the community. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need including your own couch and fireplace to relax by between skiing and a great dinner out. And balconies are perfect to enjoy a drink or morning coffee in the summer. We’ve been visiting for over 30 years and have tried other places in town and in Mountain Village but nothing compares to the experience at Hotel Columbia!

kingofsling (10/5): Location - Room 43 with a private hot tub was large and comfy. This hotel is a block from main street right at the foot of the free tram ride. A pretty and shady river runs alongside. They have an excellent breakfast bar that is complimentary. The staff, though minimal were all nice. The best restaurant in town was downstairs. We drove and parking was limited for the valets and they had to constantly move cars around. The only downside was a note on the table that the fireplace was shut off due to it making the room too hot. Lost a lot of ambience without being able to turn on. Let us decide what is too hot! Other than that, this was an amazing stay!
Jessica (9/5): Great couples spot - Breakfast offerings were definitely above average, very enjoyable. After reviewing online photos and location information the hotel was still easy to miss. It is on a busy corner and has very limited parking. Location is still nice for walking many places though.
Carol (10/5): - Right by the gondola and within easy walking to downtown Telluride. Definitely try dinner at The Cosmopolitan restaurant.
Peter (8/5): Good location by the Telluride gondola. - Great location across from gondola station. Very nice breakfast. Very pleasant staff. Convenient valet parking. Variety of shops in the area. Old fashioned bathroom with shower in the tub and no grab bar.

LPJup (10/5): Stay during Blues and Brews festival 2024 - The hotel stay was excellent, very pleased that we could bring our large dog. The breakfast buffet was excellent, the wait staff was as well. All staff members were very welcoming and engaging. Was a really nice stay. Room price was average for this area and given we stayed during a festival.

sindy s (10/5): Such a lovely boutique hotel! - This old building was converted into a hotel and restaurant, even though they are not run by the same people. They do, however, have a relationship where we got our homemade, included breakfast, each morning in the Cosmopolitan (get restaurant before coming off your interstellar in dinner there!) and they got to use party of the small lobby as part of their restaurant. The place was packed every day at opening, at 4 pm. The rooms had nice carpeting, lovely beds, and ours had a small balcony. The tv's were smart tv's with Netflix. There were heavy robes, a large bathroom, and a safe. The only negative for us was the showerhead. It was a light, wide spray that got in your face and was awful. Nice front desk staff that also helps with breakfast. Parking is extra, but on property. Location was great! Right across the street (one lane) groom the free gondola. Would highly recommend!
Frank (10/5): - The location was great- right by food, coffee, hiking trail, and the gondola. With everything close, amazing how quiet our room was. Definitely an older hotel but kept up and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower was great as it was updated. Fancy restaurant with good food on site. They do charge you extra for parking if you park at the hotel. Sometimes parking is hard to find close by. Would definitely stay there again!
Sandra (10/5): see above - breakfast was great daily - hotel staff and managers were so friendly and helpful - assisted in booking tours and excursions- they were all lovely and kind people from the maid service to management !!!! would come here again definitely!!!!!!! Booking .com had the wrong suite description and photos of our suite - so when i arrived we were absolutely underwhelmed! not at all what was shown on booking.com site. the managers were able to see what was on the site was not accurate and actually contacted booking.com to take down the incorrect information and photos so this would not happen to anyone else!! living in Arkansas and traveling to Colorado- never been there before I was relying on the ACCURACY of the BOOKING.COM site:( very disappointed in booking.com - and we had paid for full weeks stay!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MANAGEMENT UPGRADED THE SUITE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST - THE ERROR WASNT THE HOTEL'S FAULT - WON'T STAY ANYWHERE BUT THE COLUMBIA HOTEL WHEN WE VISIT AGAIN - LOCATION IS INCREDIBLE- THE STAFF IMPECABLE

502mikaylaa (10/5): Incredibly friendly staff & beautiful location - My husband and I stayed here for a couple nights and had the best time. The entire staff at Hotel Columbia was incredible. We mostly interacted with Blaine & Nelson who were super welcoming and helpful during our entire stay. The location of the hotel is perfect as it’s right next to the mountains, free gondola ride, and right in town so we could walk anywhere to go out. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and high quality. We highly recommend this quaint, beautiful hotel for you stay in Telluride!

The restaurant was delicious and the morning breakfast was the perfect fuel for our daily adventures. I slept so well and just had a wonderful time!

Location perfect; walked to everything in town and the gondola and a trailhead were just across the street. Bed super comfortable. Had a small balcony which we enjoyed very much. Highly recommend!!!

The breakfast was absolutely delicious!! We chose a room with a view of the Telluride gondolas. Couldn't be happier about our choice. Outstanding in every way!

The parking is mildly inconvenient but the staff is good about getting your car out promptly. We found the bed very stiff but that’s very much a preference thing. Would definitely stay here again. Stephanie (9/5): Can’t wait to go back (when it’s cooler 😄). - Can’t beat the location across from the gondola. At the same time it’s very quiet and you have a shaded trail at the doorstep which was wonderful considering is was in the high 80s/low 90s for most of my stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I happened to arrive on one of the hottest days of the year. The shades were up and the A/C was off. My room faced west so it also “benefited” from the afternoon sun. The wall A/C didn’t do much so kept the balcony door open at night and the shades down throughout my stay.
