• Logvina (10/5): The hotel made us feel welcome and comfortable. - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Maine. Even though we arrived very late, the staff welcomed us warmly, explained everything, showed us around, and even turned on the heat for us before we settled in. In the morning, we needed an early check-out, and the staff kindly accommodated us and provided breakfast, which we truly appreciated. A special thank you to Charles, who was absolutely amazing — very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The room was very clean and had such a cozy, home-like atmosphere. We really enjoyed staying here. If we ever need a place to stay in the area again, we will definitely come back and would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Dmitry and Irina. None

• Joy (9/5): Really homey gem kind of hidden away but well worth uncovering. - Very nice updated rooms, looks like regular motel from outside but it’s very nice and Charles is very helpful and welcoming. Very clean, right near 95 for easy travel to the Wells beaches, quiet; no noisy nighttime. I plan to go again this fall. Beds were ok but not like the big motels. But I like that this was not a corporate operation but a mom and pop sort of funky setup. The decor was quaint and unique, not standardized so the bed thing wasn’t any big deal.

Our only problem the refrigerator was not turned on and we couldn't figure out what we needed to do. Everything else was great. The breakfast was good and all of the staff were very friendly and eager to help.

• Katherine (10/5): Would definitely go back. - When pulling up, we didn't have high hopes, but it was decorated nicely for the holidays. The check-in went smoothly, and Charles was a character. In a good way. The room was big, clean, and nicely decorated. The towels were super soft. They got bonus points for that. Breakfast was simple but good. The breakfast area was small, but that was the best part because everyone spoke to each other. We got information on things to do nearby. I would definitely stay here again. Writing this review. Now, the secret is out about this little gem.

Charles, the owner, is very welcoming, friendly and we enjoyed talking with him. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend The Lodge at Kennebunk. Just wished we could have stayed longer

• julie (8/5): great staff, good stay for our roadtrip - clean and comfortable room. great hosts, provided lots of suggestions for visiting area and nice breakfast. its on main road so if you are a light sleeper bear that in mind and request a room away from the front area ( road does quieten down so didnt disturb us). road front rooms would benefit from lined curtain to block street lights out as the blinds let light through.

There was a lot of traffic noise from the highway and we were not very comfortable with the other people staying there but it was ok for a one night stay.
• Marjorie (9/5): Cute cottage vibes within a convenient drive to a couple of seaside towns. - Friendly front desk for check in and the landscaping and room were very cute and leaned into the seaside cottage theme I thought the air unit was going to shake out of the wall. The towels were also not super great quality but they got the job done.

• Lynn (8/5): Very Clean Older Motel With Friendly Staff - Our room was very, very clean and parts of it were renovated. The furniture is a bit old, but the bed was super comfortable. We really liked having extra room. Although it was just the two of us, we had the two room suite. We had a lot of space. Having the two TVs was nice. He likes to get up early and turn on the TV and it didn’t bother me at all in the back bedroom. It was really nice having a new refrigerator and microwave as well. The very well equipped Cummings Market at the Shell station down the street was helpful for picking up home made snacks and things we had forgotten. It would be nice if the furniture was updated. The bathroom had definitely gotten new fixtures, but not the rooms. I would have liked to have a reading light on both sides of the king size bed. Also, although there are blinds, it would’ve been nice to have full curtains as it got bright very early in the morning in the back bedroom. Really, there is very little to complain about. You just have to know that it is a 75-year-old motel.
