Le directeur nous avait conseillé de venir au pied de l'hôtel en voiture à certains horaires mais en quittant l'hôtel le policier voulait me verbaliser pour avoir franchi la barrière. Vraiment site à déconseiller. La chambre minuscule très bas de plafond petite fenêtre le matin pas d'eau chaude pourquoi ?

• sung o (9/5): 아주 좋은 숙소 그러나 짐을 옮기기에는 힘든 숙소 - 그뤼에르 성 바로 밑에 있는 아주 아담한 호텔 입니다. 11세 자녀와 3명으로 더블침대 1개, 싱글침대 1개짜리 방을 예약하였습니다. 조용하고 편안하게 하루를 보냈습니다. 계단이 너무 가파르게 있었으며 엘리베이터가 없어서 짐을 옮기는데 힘들었습니다. 주차장과의 거리가 멀어서 짐을 호탤까지 가지고 가기에 많은 힘이 들었습니다.

Especially Ercan, Muhammed, and Anna were very helpful and attentive. A special thank you to Alex as well — this young hotel owner is incredibly humble, warm, and kind. They truly made us feel at home. The rooftop restaurant was also amazing, and the food was delicious. The fondue was excellent — I highly recommend trying the restaurant. Thank you very much for everything! .

• Maria (7/5): Comfortable - The location and the cosy atmosphere Certain parts need renovation, eg bathroom. Breakfast needs more variety for its price. The restaurant maitre has to be more professional and improve the way he addresses the clients/visitors. We arrived at the property early and had to wait for the check in time which is understandable. In the meantime, we decided to have breakfast at the hotel and a bit later we ordered some drinks. Before noon he asked us to leave the restaurant area claiming we could not stay having only the drinks and we either had to order food or be moved to the bar - which was not an actual bar area but a small bar counter which is definitely not a place for hotel guests to spend 2-3 hrs until check in. It is not the guests problem that the hotel does not have a proper waiting area for someone to have a coffee or just wait while waiting for check in and is not in line with hospitality rules to ask your hotel guests to leave a sitting area whilst they have already spent money sitting there.

Réception discrète et souriante (une vraie recontre pleine d'humanisme avec le fils du propriétaire en personne), gentillesse et écoute de nos demandes. La déco des chambres et des parties communes rêvée pour un vrai dépaysement de charme et d'authenticité à Gruyère. Je recommande vivement ! Rien à redire.

• Christina (6/5): Nice location, nice staff - The location was good, the staff was friendly. The room we had booked did not at all resemble the images online. It had very little light, an uncomfortable bed with two separate duvets ( we are a couple, a double room should have a true double bed ( ie one mattress and one duvet, the bathroom was very old and the room very crammed ( ie tiny). If it would have been cosy and comfortable and the room would have resembled what we had booked, a tiny room wouldn't have been a problem, we don't need a lot of space but it just did not in any way resemble what we had seen online. Breakfast was also minimal.

Quand j'ai informé la réception au moment du check-out, on m'a immédiatement proposé de m'offrir un café à l'emporter. Quand j'ai réservé la chambre pour deux adultes et un enfant, je n'ai pas été informé qu'il fallait payer un supplément pour le lit d'enfant.

(Full spread including fruit pie (clafouti's). We (7 adults) ate twice dinner in same fine Restaurant. (from Entrecote to Pizza/Pasta, Salades) The village is very charming and old, dead quiet until about 7.00. Train to Bulle and Bus connections to Village are great/ Parking is well organized for cars. No cars allowed in Village. Enjoyed some farm animals just outside entry to village, great for kids. The historic village is covered throughout with cobble stones. Good shoes are welcome.

Petit déjeuner de qualité, quand au restaurant, nous avons mangé la meilleure fondue (championne du monde) gouté depuis année... Quant au personnel, que dire, j'ai rarement vu une bande de jeunes gens aussi motivés que compétents... Bravo ! Rien

• Maria Cecilia (6/5): - Location of the hotel is great. It is right in the middle of Gruyère. It is a bit touristy so be ready for that. Our room had a wonderful Mountain View. Parking is down the hill so pack light because the walkway is cobblestone. We were there in September so we didn’t need air conditioning but it may be an issue in the hotter summer months. There were mosquitos so just be aware of that when you leave your windows open. That being said, the room is clean and comfortable. The restaurant was fine. We had fondue and steak, but the fondue was the better choice. Overall not a bad stay. The hotel’s location made it so that we could be there for sunrise and sunset—which was lovely.

• Michèle (7/5): Bon séjour malgré quelques petits désagréments qui font la beauté et la singularité des voyages. - Bon petit déjeuner "buffet" avec des produis frais et servi dans une salle avec une vue et un cadre magnifique. Le village de Gruère à lui seul vaut le détour et le bar et le musée "Giger" sont des incontournables pour les férus de films fantastiques et plus particulièrement "d'Alien" ! Les chambres n° 5 et 6 mériteraient d'êtres sérieusement rafraîchis (peinture, électricité et ameublement) et donnent sur la cour intérieur du village de Gruère. Bruit le soir sur les terrasses et le matin lors des livraisons !

Das Zimmer hatte eine akzeptable Grösse und die Betten waren bequem. Im Bad war Schimmel in der Dusche. Das Badezimmer war sehr alt und vermutlich aus den 1980er Jahren. Es war sehr feucht und wir mussten die Tür permanent offen lassen, da es sonst gestunken hätte.

Pas de parking (comme tous les hôtels de Gruyères). Isolation phonique pas au top. Il fait très chaud dans les chambres sous les toits (malgré le ventilateur fourni). Salle de bain et toilettes assez vieillots.

• H (10/5): Serene and Spectacular - Had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at LSG for a week. The hotel is situated at the top of a hillside in a little medieval village and is just picturesque. All around is serenity and nature. The hotel is a lovely place, has adequate sized rooms and they are very comfortable. The best part is waking up and looking straight out onto the mountains and hearing the sounds of nature !! Food at the hotel is delicious and their cheese fondue and ice creams are the best ! Staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and friendly and make your experience even more special and enjoyable. Special thanks to Alex, Hichem and Mohammed who made us feel welcome and took care of everything. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer !! Definitely be visiting LSG in the future again.
• Heidi (10/5): Exceptional - Everyone was so nice! Right in the plaza. Be aware that you can only drive to unload and load during certain parts of the day. The restaurant was great too! Recommend! Nothing. Great stay
• Alexey (9/5): Superb - Super friendly staff. Alex was especially welcoming. Clean cozy room, comfy beds. Very good restaurant. Amazing location. Flies. There were a lot of them in the restaurant, and it made the dining experience so uncomfortable to the point of wanting to just leave as fast as possible to avoid them. Everything else was perfect.
• Maribelle (10/5): One word: marvellous hotel! - Absolutely marvellous stay. Our room was spacious for a family of 3. The restaurant was splendid and the best fondu and rosti we had in all our Switzerland trip. But above all, the staff was A+! Luxurious service from all the employees. I would definitely stay here again! Nothing. Apart from having no AC during very hot days, everything was perfect.

• Strangefella (10/5): A Wonderful Hotel with a Little Slice of Relaxation - In Short, This Hotel is Amazing. At first you'd think it was amazing due to panoramic views of the restaurant or the warm and smile filled welcome from the staff. The room is beautiful and whichever way your room faces you will not be disappointed by the view, we were facing the street and waking up to the view of Gruyeres and the bell from the chateau (don't worry it doesn't start until 6.30am) is a happy place to be. The bed is really comfortable and the Shower and Tea and Coffee making facilities are top tier! Our first meeting was Anna on Reception, we couldn't believe how kind and friendly she was and made us feel so ridiculously welcome. We had dinner in their restaurant twice, the food WAS that good. Served by Hitchem the first night and Anthony the second, they were both so friendly and attentive, we couldn't have been happier. Throughout our stay we were welcomed and helped by either Sophia, Antonio and Alex who were always around working hard but constantly with a smile and such genuinely kind people. The Place is perfect and the Staff here are an absolute credit to it. That we had to leave at the end of our stay.

• Seyhock (10/5): What A Great Stay! - The hotel is an old building refurbish with the modern design interior. The check in counter was super friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfy, toilet is big and clean. Must try - the dinner - food was super great with excellent services Must try - breakfast - high quality foods with good coffee and excellent service as well! We did not notice that car is only allowed to go into the castle at late hour (6pm to 10.am), if you have big luggage, plan it properly as the road in the castle is too rough for luggage.
• Peter (6/5): Great location but be aware of inconvenient access with luggage. - Hotel is right in the centre of the small 'village' of Gruyeres - but see below! Stunning view over surrounding landscape from rear dining terrace. Helpful staff. It was never made clear that the mentioned available pay car parks were a minimum 400 yards(others much further) from the hotel up a steep slope with suitcases then having to be dragged over a cobbled street. Hotel also failed to mention that cars could be driven to the front for unloading after 18:00. We were two couples in our late 70s and early 80s! Bedroom was very small and did not equal the 237 sq ft size quoted on Booking website. Breakfast at CHF29 was a very overpriced for what was available and compared to our other stays in Switzerland during this trip.
