Guest Reviews
- Hara (9/5): Good enough. - Good size. Ability to make tea and have a refrigerator to put milk in. Too far from town. Expensive to get in and out of town.
- Gerber (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): -
- Steve Schaller (9/5): Perfect Location - Frontier Suites is our favorite place to stay in Juneau. It is close to all the amenities we desire, so we can either drive or walk to these places.
- Rebecca (9/5): -
- Zelda (5/5): - I liked how clean the room was Front desk staff needs customer service training especially when the rooms are impossible to find without verbal directions

- Amber (10/5): My flight was late, and did not arrive until the following morning. I was supposed to stay two nights, but they let me c - My room was clean and tidy without the typical long-term stay odors that tend to linger. 2208
Free helpful shuttle from the airport and to the Ferry Terminal. It is a very large sprawling property with no clear direction in the parking lot.
- Frank (10/5): Relaxing - Nice location, close to airport, clean comfy room Nothing
- Matthew (6/5): - The lady on reception was exceptionally helpful and friendly on check in. There was a kitchen, but not enough stuff to make it functional. The biggest frying pan was barely big enough to fry and egg.
- Felipe (10/5): -
- Susan (9/5): - We only spent a night, but the suite was large with a nice kitchen. Very clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. Neighborhood and walking path close by. Little local Philippine restaurant within short walking distance. Being close to airport and shuttle service is very convenient. Some road noise.
- Deborah (8/5): Clean and convenient place to stay. - Helpful staff, very clean, convenient location. We were warm in the room so we used the fan which squeeked.
- Douglas (10/5): -
- Deborah (8/5): We were only there for a night , but the rooms were very comfortable, clean, and quiet. - We left before breakfast, but i was told there was no continental breakfast anyway. The shower made horrible noises when in the hot water range.
- Khalif (8/5): -
- Fredrick (9/5): - Good heat is comfortable and nice and quiet Well could use couple more TV channels
- Selena (10/5): -
- Audrey (9/5): I like it here and will stay again. - Beautiful room! Bed lumpy or it might be my partner took most of the bed.
- Deborah (3/5): Practical but problematic.:) - Locally owned. Friendly van driver. Dog friendly. Room was cold. Hot water ran out. Receptionist unfriendly.
- Barry (2/5): Dirty dishes in washer, discovered after finding little to no utensils provided. Extremely noisy from the guests upsta - Proximity to airport

- Christel (10/5): - Most of the staff was friendly.. I didn’t like their parking lot and also the elevator needs a lot of work.. but I loved the rooms, I would Definetly stay again just for the room I had.. it was clean, comfortable and roomy..
- Matthew (8/5): - They offer a shuttle from ferry to hotel and from hotel to airport. That was nice!
- Cherrylyn (8/5): - Nice room, it’s clean
- Jeremiah (8/5): - Convenient, shuttle TV mount was broken with duct tape applied. TV was only held by 2 screws and precariously leans out. Just a matter of time before it breaks and falls off.
- Do no van (8/5): -
- Linda (8/5): - Probably should make sure staff checks that all light bulbs are working. Very convenient to the airport.
- markwW1234ZP (4/5): NOT recommended for extended stays - Not recommended for an extended stay.
Pros: Friendly Staff, convenient to airport, nice rooms with moderately good kitchen area.
Cons: Parking lot in poor shape. also, if you are staying for an extended time, on site coin-op laundry is usually out of service (during a two month stay, it has ALWAYS been out of order) and they give you a door code to use the laundry at the low end apartment complex next door which is dirty and machines are in poor shape (better to drive to a coin-op about a half mile away).
- Charliedog (7/5): Great location, easy access to downtown and the State Capitol. - Great location, quick access to downtown and the State Capitol. Comfortable bed. Strong Wi-Fi. Even had an elevator, not all multi-story motels do. Surprised that no breakfast was not included in the room. I thought that when I made the reservation, breakfast was one of my filters.
- Lisa (4/5): Convenient to Airport - The ladies at the front desk were wonderful! The rooms weren’t that great. The rooms…expensive for the room. They were hot, no AC and the ceiling fans were busted. The jet tub had black mold in the jets so you didn’t even want to try it. The kitchenette was sufficient. They hung the tvs in the wall, with the stands still attached and the wires hanging down the wall.
- Owen (10/5): - The staff were very helpful
- Angela (8/5): -
- Donald (10/5): - Friendly staff.
- William (8/5): - Its a nice place. Staff is friendly. They do not have air conditioning. I was miserable for the 2 evenings. It was hot and very stuffy. You can open a window. There are 2 small fans. Niether were not real helpful. On top of that the loud car noise going by. Since the window needing to be opened. You had to wait for the night cool down. When i was ready to sleep i could not because it was so hot. It was hard to breathe. I would go back again if they had air conditioning.
- Richard (10/5): - Had a good stay. Walked to local bar/restaurants and took rideshare downtown. Close to the airport and staff was very helpful.
- Tom (10/5): - An excellent place to stay between the ferry and airport - and the shuttle service was great between both destinations. Our room was a large and comfortable suite, and the hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and also along Juneau's public transit system - with a bus stop conveniently located near by.
- thomas (10/5): - No air conditioning in the rooms and no Resturant near
- karen (7/5): - Location to the airport. Free airport shuttle. Large sitting and bed rooms. Full kitchen. Comfortable bed. Cleaning wasnt up to my standard. Stains on bed sheet and sofa.
- Steve (6/5): - The room was old and dated . It had an old smell to it . The TV picture was not clear . The shower handle was impossible to set to a comfortable temperature. It was either really hot or cool . The room temperature was warm . With the window open it was still hard to get a breeze in the room probably because the roof of the property next door was so close .
- HAZEL (4/5): -
- Steven (6/5): One night stop over in Juneau - Bed comfort was ok, no air and room was warm.
- Laura (8/5): - Staff was very helpful and pleasant. City bus stop just down the street provided transportation downtown for $2 fare. A larger trash can for kitchen area would be nice. My room faced the parking lot and there was noise all night.
- Eric (6/5): - Staff doesn’t care…
- Kyle (8/5): -
- John (8/5): - The attached restaurant shown by Orbitz and Google is closed indefinitely. The Valley Restaurant is a few doors down to the south and their food is quick ans good.
- Arthur (7/5): Spacious and clean room with free shuttle, but kind of seedy feeling all-around. - The room itself is excellent. Clearn, spacious. Full kitchen. Nice shower. Extremely convenient to airport. Free shuttle. Walking distance to restaurants. Halls are dirty. Walk to the room from lobby is outside. Restaurant is closed. Extended-stay visitors outside smoking. First floor smelled like weed and room was slightly smoky smelling too from outside smoke. Wifi was very spotty.
- Corrado (7/5): -
- Dan (6/5): Tired - The price was good for the area, but the hotel is tired and a bit in disrepair.
- Elaine (8/5): n - Room was clean, well lit and kitchen fully equipped. Comfortable beds. Jets in spa tub (room 2450) did not work. That was a bit disappointing.
- Sheila (10/5): - It was a great place to stay overnight before getting on our cruise.
- mark (8/5): - Staff was very helpful in finding eateries and with multiple rooms, the place was a good home away from home.
- Michael T (4/5): - Bath & Kitchen floors very dirty so I scrubbed them down on my own. Minimal kitchen utensils. Noisy clientel
- Michael (6/5): Convenient and friendly but….. - Location and shuttle Room musty and outdated. No restaurant nearby.
- Margaret (10/5): - Q
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Johnathan (7/5): Good -
- Paul (9/5): Perfect fit for our travel needs. - Location near Juneau airport, freezer space for fish, shuttle service to/from airport Mo coffee shop/restaurant.
- Robert (4/5): - The hotel cashier check in person is behind a cage leaving me to wonder how unsafe is this area. Not feiendly staff. Late airport shuttle. Creepy people in the parking lot. Woke up to the smell of marijuana smoke in the room. In the parking lot a kid was digging in someone's truck bed. Room was clean and spacious.
- Susan (7/5): A convenient stopover from the flight from home to the Alaska ferry to Gustavus. - We were only here briefly. Mostly to sleep, and the beds were comfortable. Nothing
- Namruttw (10/5): - Clean rooms and facility. Comfortable beds and seating in the suite. Quiet. Friendly & efficient front desk staff. Walking distance to airport. would stay here again.
- Wendy (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Friendly & efficient staff.
- Rennae (8/5): Very good - big room, free shuttle bit old, for the money value
- Kenyatta (8/5): - Close to the airport and the shuttle picked us up. The staff was very helpful
- Catherine (10/5): - Loved the shuttle service
They are holding our large bags for us for the day. Only thing is free coffee in The room but no coffee mugs to drink it from.
- Regina (10/5): Exceptional - Nice hotel Not much pretty satisfied
- Jeremy (4/5): - Booked 2 kings - got one and a sofa bed
Same for others we were traveling with
Rather suspect they don’t actually have rooms with two kings , just photo-shopped their ads
- mitzi (10/5): - Very helpful staff and very friendly! The hotel offered shuttle services and it was in a good area and not far from the airport.
- Johnathan (7/5): Good - Location was close to the airport. No breakfast, not too clean
- Morgan (4/5): Friendly staff, old property. - My biggest complaint with this property was that I was the newest thing on site, and I was born in the 80s! 😂. I was traveling with eight family members fresh off of a cruise ship and we had lots of luggage. The check-in process was very easy and the hotel staff offered to keep all of our luggage in the back office until we could check into our room four hours later. All of that was quite nice. The buildings in the room however, are extremely old and dated and I don’t think have seen a paintbrush or fresh carpet in 30 years. The floor trim was missing in places, the mini blinds that were covering our window were damaged and frayed, the windows were difficult to operate. And for a hotel in a northern area like this where it’s daylight 20 hours a day, the fact that they did not have curtains was rather surprising. There is no air conditioning, and the ceiling fan left a lot to be desired as far as making the room cool enough to be comfortable. Even though the heat was turned off and it was 65° outside the hotel room was about 75° when I opened the door. The kitchenette was convenient as we ordered some food to go and we had a nice place to eat at the counter in a microwave and a sink to clean up. We did get two rooms and one was on the first floor and one was on the third floor. The elevator in our building was broken and there was no way I was lugging eight suitcases up three flights of stairs so they managed to get us a room in a different building, but inconvenient.
- John (10/5): - Great people, comfortable bed and room, super convenient to the airport! Shuttle for pickup was wonderful, even with late flights.
- Judith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (8/5): - It’s a nice but older facility. The people are wonderful. The area around the hotel has seen better days.
- Philip (10/5): - Very convenient for the airport. Buses every 30 minutes into Juneau. Staff are all amazing - so helpful.
- Joan (8/5): Very good -
- sherri (8/5): - Very convenient to the airport and also an est drive to the mendenhall glacier.
- Rosalind (8/5): - Hotel was very quiet and comfortable, if a bit dated. It was convenient to the airport and a couple of restaurants. A grocery store was 10 minute walk, if you want to use the kitchen. The shuttle bus was a big savings, because taxis are expensive
- Danette (8/5): - This place was fine, it just was overpriced for very basic amenities.
- Trevor (6/5): Poor service… they promised but did not deliver - Lack of communication Room
- Russell (6/5): - Spartan at best. Made an effort, but this is a basic property without much to rave about. Shabby construction throughout, nice people but surrounding area pretty grim.
- Adam (10/5): - Great room, friendly staff and the shuttle was great so we didn't need a car.
- Adam (10/5): - Staff was friendly and rooms were good. The shuttle service allowed us to get where we needed to go without the need for a car.
- Marlyss J (8/5): - Showed up very late. Hotel said to call ahead time to schedule shuttle. I called ahead of time and no shuttle service. I booked a king size bed and was told i was getting 1 queen bed. I had to put up a stink and was finally given a king size bed i paid for.
- William (8/5): A Quick Stop Over. - Close and easy access from the airport via the hotel shuttle. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. We used the hotel as a stop over while continuing onwards to the outer islands for fishing.
For individuals needing the option of making their own meals a stove and refrigerator were in the room. We did not require this option.
- Shawn (4/5): Worn but functional. - The beds were comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a kitchen available. The windows had moss growing on them. The furniture was worn and stained. There was a distinct smell of weed in the hallway, which the staff rapidly responded to.
- Thomas (8/5): small parking spots - kitchenette was nice and hotel was quite. Only issue was we had to park in the back which was further from our room and the parking spots were very small.
- Jeffry (8/5): - The hotel was a converted apartment buildi
- Johnny (8/5): Very good - Jacob was very accommodating when he changed our room to one that didn't get the street noise and direct sunlight. Without air conditioning, our assigned room was fairly uncomfortable. Bed was comfortable. The room had all the usual home kitchen appliances in good working order. The provided coffee was pretty tasty. The bathtub drain couldn't keep up with the flow. No A/C, but it was an unusually hot 3 days for Juneau. Sheets were worn and thin, but the bath towels were large and fluffy.
- Donald (8/5): - This property is very convenient to the airport. The suite was well equipped and would be great for a longer stay. The hotel was clean and the staff was very cordial and helpful. The property shows some age in a few places, but nothing that bothered me. No restaurant on premises, but there are a couple of options very close and more options with a little travel.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Always friendly staff, and a free airport/ferry shuttle from the property. The rooms are a bit dated and have had some repairs to some of the rooms which are visible, but despite that they are very comfortable and clean. The beds I have slept on were all very comfortable.
- Patrick (7/5): Good -
- Richard (9/5): Comfortable beds - Freezer for our fish and stored our luggage so we could go out Didn’t get the room we reserved the first weekend we stayed
- Richard (5/5): Passable - Comfortable beds Got 2 double beds but reserved a king
