Unit was pretty well sound proofed. Queen bed in separate bedroom was very comfortable Motel was older style, shower head was fixed, no where to put your soap - flannel - shampoo/conditioner. Curtains didn't quite meet so didn't cut put external lighting from outside,

Rooms were big and really clean, and bed really comfortable, was very quiet at night so slept really well. The shower was great, heat pump fantastic in a cold snap. The free washing machine was a huge bonus. Location good. Walkable to Papanui and just about runnable to Hagley park. Supermarket and coffee shop two minutes away. Just altogether great value for money.

• Amber (9/5): very comfortable and cosy stay, felt very welcoming too - The cottage was very cute and cosy, definitely enjoyed having a heat pump and a smart tv, the staff are lovely too. even got a free late checkout which was super awesome!! unfortunately couldn’t use the spa due to it being out of order but the staff were very apologetic and it honestly didn’t bother me too much as it ended up being quite a rainy weekend

The owners were super friendly and paid close attention to detail and were very welcoming and hospitable. Highly enjoyable stay. The shower was a little small and the metal base was awkward- i was not used I seeing that design.
• Esther (10/5): Perfect spot if travelling with pets. - If you are travelling with your dog then this is the perfect spot. The cottage we stayed in had a fully fenced yard off the deck for our wee dog to roam in. The rooms are set back from the road so there is little noise. A little dated but very clean and tidy.

Carpark lighting kept the room light up when trying to sleep and room wasn’t ever dark. Morning light came in also

• Jasmine (9/5): Great service and pleasant green space close to everything we needed. - Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who responded very quickly to a couple of small requests we had, and were proactive eg in offering to lift the little table from our deck into the sun for me. We loved a quiet and secluded room with a private deck right in the midst of trees and green space. Off street parking meant we felt relaxed about the safety of our vehicle in a great location very central to main routes and easy access from the airport and to the city centre, supermarkets and places of interest. There is also a pleasant child and dog friendly park within 5 minutes walk. Cranford St is quite a busy road and we will request a unit a little further from the road next time we visit.
• W8855SZjasmines (8/5): Green oasis in the midst of the city, ideal for a short term stay. - We had booked Cranford Cottages as being close to family and also for the greenery and garden close to the unit. We really appreciated the convenience of the site, being easy access from the airport and also to supermarkets, the central city and places of interest. We loved being able to sit in our secluded deck in our personal garden space. We found the staff very friendly and responsive and proactively helpful eg lifting the little table on our deck into the sun for me. The units are not new but have been well maintained and were clean and comfortable and the bed excellent. St Albans park is a child and dog friendly space 5 minute walk away. I hadn't realised how busy Cranford St is, and next time we stay will request a unit a little further away from the road.

Very clean and comfortable. Ideal location although on a busy road very quiet and peaceful settings. There is nothing I didn’t like.
