Beautiful black rocks everywhere....we didn't take any!. Went to . Went to the local museum to find photos of the pub next door to the Waterloo, where Nan and Pop stayed..there's just a bare block of land there now, as unfortunately, the Hotel burnt down in 2014 😞 but took a photo anyway.

Fantastic view but a lot of stairs to top floor. Too many stairs if your elderly to top floor. Staff helped with baggage as I have a disability .

• Helen (8/5): Beautifully maintained property - The whole building was meticulously clean. The decor was dated, but fastidiously maintained. The reception was friendly, and both checking in and out were easy and hassle-free. Our room had a wine fridge instead of a mini fridge, which made it difficult to freeze the ice blocks for our esky. And the wind whistles through the front door the whole night.

Room was good and had all the necessary ammenities. Beds were comfortable and clean. Had access to Netflix which was nice. Bathroom was clean. Various spaces to eat around the hotel, which was useful. Enjoyed the communication that was sent out by the hotel with a list of various things to do and visit near the area. Only thing that I would suggest is to do something about the shower. Even though there is a shower curtain the water still goes everywhere and makes the ground a bit wet. Maybe some bath mats may be useful

• RJP (8/5): Good place to stay and visit the surroundings. - Location and spacious room with a balcony and view on the see. Interior is 80 style, it is all good and solid but realize the atmosphere is from those days. I liked it as a nice change to the fancy hotels we had on our trip.

• Reza (7/5): Satisfied overall - Good location Lovely staff The price was a bit steep for its size and what it offered. One piece of advice: do not take their recommendation for the Ponderous Frog cafe, I nearly got food poisoning. Instead, try the place across the street from the hotel.

• Han (6/5): The overall value doesn’t fully meet expectations. - Location is great and the most of rooms are facing the beautiful bay. Bed is not stable, I was just lying in bed watching TV, and the bed kept sliding out from the wall. It’s so frustrating having to push it back over and over again. Recorded my car’s rego but there is no parking when I returned after 7PM, have to parking somewhere else but not close to the hotel.
