Guest Reviews
- Sheryl (8/5): - Rooms were large, nice bathroom. Furniture needs updating.
- Ian (4/5): - Rooms are in poor condition and out dated
- Sylvia (10/5): - The room was good size bed very comfortable getting out side to sit was a little bit difficult as I am short so reaching the cords for blinds was a bit harder for me
- Tim (10/5): - Golf
- Lynda (4/5): - It’s quite tired and needs some work. There was a missing curtain, the chain to pull the blind up was laying on the ground. Looked for an extra blanket and there was a what was supposed to be a quilt ( I think) with no cover, full of stains, mould and just dirty. There were 2 of these in the cupboard, both filthy so left the heater on all night. Took photos
- Audric (6/5): - Bed was broken and uncomfortable.
Back door wouldn't open and there was a strong smell of bio when I checked in.
- Russell (8/5): - Good location
- bronte (2/5): - Staff teriable not freindly accomadation ordinary
- Josh (4/5): - The definition of “owner indifference to guest experience & repeat business.” Other reviews are hilariously fake—no one’s calling this place clean or the service good with a straight face.
- Samuel (2/5): - Very rude indians !
- Karen (8/5): Room with nice view - Nice big room and good bed. No tea bags, only one glass and the smoke alarm wasn’t working (cover was off and no battery). Watch out for kangaroos and emus when driving in and out.
- Sharon (10/5): - Friendly staff and good price point.
- G (4/5): Not the standard you would expect from a country c - Restaurant was dirty, toilets attached to restaurant were dirty. When the menu says all meals are served with a salad bowl, you expect to receive a salad, not just chips and a wedge of lemon. The next morning when we went to restaurant for breakfast, nothing was ready - tables hadn't been fully cleared from previous evening, crumbs on floor as well as dead insects on tables. Rooms aren't sound proof, you could hear conversation in next room.
- Terry (2/5): - Golf course is a joke, derelict, greens full of weeds.
Receptionist was also the cook obviously, walking back and forth from kitchen to dining room all the while arguing loudly with her husband, coughing continuously in the kitchen, no mask, no hat or hairnet!
Asked for the wine list and was promptly told they only had two white wines, "bubbles" or Reisling!
Two other guys walked in and asked for two beers from one of several beer taps, told no beer on tap, only one type of bottled beer.
Drank our bubbles and left asap.
Room and bed was ok, but the shower and bathroom floors needed cleaning with a proper product, not just a mop over.
Supposedly the property has been not long taken over by new owners, whoever they are they need to realise it's going to take several million $ to bring it up to scratch, even if they just bought it for approved housing lots they would have to spend a bomb on the course if they ever wanted to attract people to buy there.
Ended up having dinner at Murry Downs GC, great meal like most clubs on the Murray.
- Kerri (4/5): - We arrived at 6 pm, no lights to see where you were walking. Sadly the property is quite run-down. But it was clean
- Kerin (2/5): - Had no hot water, tried to call at night, went to messagebank, hoped for the best but still none in the morning. Went out to sport carnival, rang through the day and they said they'd check, back in afternoon and still no hot water - in 2 rooms. Other people arrived, same thing. Solution from staff member was to walk across the carpark (it was cold and raining) to shower in another room (share that one shower between 4 people). Unsure if they were busy and didn't have enough rooms to move us to, or they just didn't want to, didn't really explain or talk to us. Light in room not working, tv asked for wifi password every 20 minutes (and that was only watching free to air). We ended up leaving after 1 night and finished our stay at another hotel.
- Julie (10/5): - Beautiful room, clean and tidy. Lovely meal.
- Wendy (10/5): - .
- Steven (4/5): - was terrible dirty sheets kettle that leaks burnt my arm did nothing about just got a new bed sheet cant go out side just bindii 3 corner jacks every were just going to the pool was just walking in them went home a night early wont stay there again an taking money out my bank the night before check an not telling me has made it worse sorry didnt like my stay
- Ben (8/5): - Property is nice and in a good location
- Mark (6/5): - This place looks as if it was purchased not long ago. We had a few Internet issues, but they were sorted out. The owners appear to have recently purchased the propterty, as the name changed and the place needs a lot of work. The room could use a few more amenities, such as lights over the night tables, but overall, a quiet nice place.
- Tania (2/5): - Pool was green on the walls, weeds everywhere, ants and bugs made it impossible to put you towel down. The outside chais and tables were weathered and broken.
The room was rundown and the armchair was completely worn through on the arms.
Property was nothing like the photos. Extremely disappointing and staff didn't seem phased by our complaint, nor would the provide a refund. How do you fill in time with a 12 yr old that can't use the facilities?.....
- Craig (6/5): - Bed was comfortable, shower was good and the room was quiet.
- Liam (10/5): - Lovely location, very quiet. Good food
- melissa (6/5): - This was a long way out of town.
The garden was not well kept, the plants/garden at the entrance of the property were dead/dying.
The beer was warm
- Margaret (10/5): - Staff ensured that we had a comfortable stay. Street signage needs a revamp as we drove straight past. Comfortable bed and renovated bathroom. Very economical option for us.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Room needs a lot of attention… - The ceiling had mould and the room smelt of it. The exhaust fan wouldn’t turn off and it was noisy.
Cheap accommodation…
- Jennifer (10/5): - The room service ,nice friendly staff ,most relaxing getaway with my daughter 😊😊, enjoyed the swim in the pool ,great price 😊
- Dan (8/5): - Solid
- Con (8/5): - Great place to stay
- Wayne (2/5): - Clean but old. Past its prime. Bed very uncomfortable no cutlery. Sliding door out back jammed.
- Sigña (8/5): - My curry was beautiful, so tender and incredibly good value. The pool was well kept and a great PH balance so fine to swim even for sensitive eyes. Temperature perfect. I found the service generally very good and would have given 5 stars if my TV worked but unfortunately it was unavailable and previously damaged and awaiting repairs. Definitely would go to this hotel again. Very good value.
- Tracy (4/5): - My room must of been a newly renovated room. However the back sliding door needs a good cleaning.. I also stood in the restaurant and there was no one there for service.. there was one person in the restaurant for a meal, he said he had to call the phone to get someone attention..
- Natalie (8/5): - The rooms are newly renovated. New bathrooms and the room still has the new carpet smell. Friendly staff and a great pool.
- Con (8/5): - Nice stay
- Harry (2/5): - My "In-Laws" stayed at the Remark Resort from 2/1 - 5/1/25, and didn't want to 'rock the boat" whilst staying there, but they had the following issues;
1. No towel rack
2. Over the 3 night stay - no fresh towels, soap or milk for coffee was provided/replenished.
3. There were cobwebs in the room
4. The AC ducts were filled with grime and fluff
5. The service staff wouldn't say hello or even acknowledge their presence
6. They were told not to leave the AC on during the day, despite the temp being 35C
7. the room looked nothing like the photos displayed on the Wotif website.
Overall, the room was very disappointing and certainly not worth the $150.00/night that was paid for in-advance.
- Sue (8/5): - It clean and lovely position, we couldn’t get any TV reception but understand that can be a problem in that area.
- Manny (6/5): - Liked the location, but torn curtains, damaged walls, door sealing badly and the dust and rubbish out the front of the doorway with the dirty bin next to the door were a put off.
- Fiona (6/5): - Room was okay it was fairly clean
- Graham (6/5): - Not a good place if u dont have a car
- BRUCE (10/5): - Geat time nice & Relaxing .
- Hafiz (8/5): Staying two nights at Renmark Resort - I wouldn't call it as resort rather it's a motel type accommodation.
We stayed two nights, we thought they would do the room services but they didn't, later on manager told us that if we don't request they don't change them which was not told us during our check in.
The restaurant was not very up-to-date, food was very ordinary. The staff needed to be trained more to service better.
From the Sturt Highway to enter into the resort it was not written Renmark Resort rather it was written Country Golf club, very confusing for the first time customer.
Thank you.
- Deborah (10/5): - Great value and location. Nice country feel, disappointed that the dining room and bar were not open on a Sunday night.
- Peter (10/5): Always good - I have stayed here quite a few times and it continues to impress. It is well run, well presented. I notice that refurbishing is being done to some of the rooms. My bathroom had all new fittings and furnishings.
- Carmen (6/5): - Average motel. To expensive for what they offer.
- Alison (8/5): - The rooms are large and most of the room is clean. They are renovating the property, and it will look great. Staff was helpful. Great value for money. Bed was comfortable. Excellent water pressure. I would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room size ok.Fittings dated and worn.Carpet and tiled areas dusty as were all horizontal surfaces.
- Andtew (4/5): - Great location. Unit clean but outside dirty.. bird droppings. No room clean on 2nd day and had to ask for fresh towels. Air conditioner did not work as batteries were flat. Office was not open when we left. Seems to be running down ..
Could be great but let down by a few basic issues..
- Prue (8/5): - The wildlife was lovely.
- Sheyenn (6/5): - The overall property was nice however there were cockroaches and crickets in the room regularly, including in the bed and on the pillows. Moths and mosquitoes were able to get into the room at night.
- Don (8/5): - We enjoyed the unique entry and wildlife👌
Service could be improved a bit and open hours of dining (lack of) meant lost business.
- Trudy (8/5): Good value for money - This property is comfortable and well priced for an overnight stay which we required. Attention to cleaning eg vacuuming of carpet should be considered but bedding etc was very clean
- Peter (10/5): - It is well maintained and good value. Bathroom and air conditioning facilities are excellent.
- Rodney (10/5): - Nice n quiet. Affordable and on a Golf course
- Wayne (10/5): - nice place to stay
- Michael (8/5): - Very nice meal
- Brian (4/5): - It was way off the highway ,so no traffic noise.
The toilet seat was loose, only 1 coffee cup was provided for 2 people, the freezer was frozen over solid & couldn't be used ,the seats/lounge were very old & worn -being from the 1960's, the carpet was not clean & a heavy build up of dirt & dust around the edges & skirting boards. Very dificult to locate off the highway especially at night as the entrance gates ? walls either side of the driveway were painted to blend with the surrounding bush. No illuminated or signs ( hwy ) or number to indicate the address. The driveway is extremely long so the buildings are not visiable from the highway indicating the resort was even there.
- Jennifer and Laurie (8/5): - We had a (1) night stay there and were very pleased with the location which is off the main road next to the golf course.
The staff were very friendly and caring.
My husband and I shared a wonderful dinner and a bottle of white wine.
The food was amazing and not overpriced.
We would definitely stay there again - just for the food alone.
- lee-anne (10/5): - Clean
- Pamela (10/5): - Lovely large room. Very quiet and peaceful l.
- Jason (10/5): - The staff didnt seem likable for some reason. Maybe language barrier, The room was ok but no fly screen on sliding doors yet, seen someome post anout that too few years ago. Nothing chamged by looks. 1 light above the bed head was broken. The resturant area always looked empty for some reason too. No braalafst qualiry avaliable. I nitoced some yogirt amd butter ect covered in white sheet but had bugs on the sheet. Wouldn't eat there by the looks though. Not much food to choose from the menu either. Light shine through the sink area and no door or cuetain to stop ligjt coming through. But was quite. The shower had no soap holder or anything ro lit soap on so had put in the floor aswell. The restirant area gad dripping water from ceiling too. By the looks of it. Its beenike that for a long rime. Good for 1 night i guess and was quite. But needs attention
- Ben (10/5): - Great friendly staff. They looked after us well! Highly recommended the curries on offer in the on-site restaurant.
- John (6/5): - It was okay for us, two brothers, to have a room each. It was reasonable value for money. It is handy having the restaurant on site. We enjoyed the curries and the dining area is very nice. The bed s were comfortable.
- Evelyn (8/5): - No teaspoons if you wanted use your own coffee etc
- Karen (6/5): - Unit number 7. The tap knob in the bathroom was broken and when using the other tap it broke as well. The shower wall looks like there is water going into the bedroom. Had to sleep with the heater on all night as there were only a sheet and a very thin cover on the bed. It would be cheaper in the long run for them to provide warmer blankets or quilts than using all that electricity. Apart from these it was clean.
- Richard (6/5): - No milk in fridge and reverse air conditioner did not work properly
- Gerrit (8/5): - Would be an asset if units were equipped with a microvave and toaster.
- Kathy (6/5): - Property could be made more appealing with a bit of upgrade and cleaner
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great
- Alison (8/5): - Comfortable and well priced
- Leanne (6/5): - Comfortable but rundown
Tv not working
- John (8/5): - Nice surroundings, value for room excellent, shame no plates or cutlery to have rea as restaurant was closed
- Rhiannon (2/5): - Had to book last minute accommodation for an emergency. Booked at 5pm. All information said reception was open until 8pm. Tried calling to explain will won’t arrive until after closing time and to arrange an after hours check in. NO ANSWER. Called multiple times between 5-6pm. Given we needed somewhere to stay, I didn’t want to risk arriving to no room so I booked elsewhere. Spoke with Wotif representative and they said they’d try for a refund. Unfortunately the Renmark Resort manager declined.
- Gordon (6/5): - The room was not very nice. It was a bit dowdy and had a run down appearance. It was reasonably clean though.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Would have been nice to have been told before hand that the bistro was temporarily closed. Wouldn’t have booked to stay there if I knew that was the case. Drainage in the shower is terrible. Water over flowing onto the bathroom floor.
- Simone (8/5): - .
- Leonie (2/5): - Property not what advertised very run down and no restaurant as advertised
- Christian (4/5): - Large room with excellent fittings
Dining room was closed but no cutlery or crockery provided
- Shyam (8/5): - Couch was dusty
- Ewen (4/5): - Quiet location. No meals available in the bistro currently. I stayed in a deluxe room for one night, clean and comfortable.
- Charmaine (8/5): - nice and clean and friendly staff
- Con (8/5): - Excellent stay
- Linda (8/5): - Liked kangaroos.
Didn't like all dining options closed and no toaster or microwave in room.
- Melanie (10/5): - Easy check in
- GRAHAM R (2/5): - Shower was poor doors could not be locked cramped bathroom and shower
- Estella (8/5): - Interior decor was very pleasant i liked that you had a pleasant outdoor seating area plus 2 doors in the unit and undercover car parking
- Natalie (10/5): - I have stayed at this property multiple times. Just a few kms out of city center. Accomodation is always clean and the grounds are just beautiful. With lots of our native wildlife around. I just love this place.❤️❤️
- Sandra (6/5): - Restaurant closed. Nothing in room to prepare meals if you had supplies. Quiet location at golf course .
- Janice (2/5): - PLease note I did not sign-in or stay at this resort, I believe I had cancelled my booking. Also note my credit card has been charged the entire stay

Regards Janice Dehmel
- Kazz (2/5): - Very outdated. Noisy, Towel rail falling off. Blankets thrown in cupboard not folded. Dusty. No Bistro
- Alana (6/5): - Property is good to sleep in, beds are comfy.. our aircon didn’t work great (stayed in 40 degree weather) constant air gun noise from 7AM-7pm keep in mind this is only 7 weeks out of the year or something but was super annoying. Pool was working and nice but there was about 100 wasps in and around the water. no dining available which didn’t really bother us but would’ve been handy, staff seemed like they were either new or unsure about a lot of things. Could actually be a really nice and busy place with a few upgrades. They do have a bbq area and golfing which is pretty cool too.
- Jane (10/5): - Bed was comfortable, shower had great pressure, the staff were extremely friendly and the room was quiet. I would definitely stay here again if this current standards stay. I did not eat here so unsure about the food, but for a couple of nights stay it was more than enough for a quick trip.
- mick (4/5): - shower was NO good. Door was no good (locking )
We won't be coming back.
- Julie (8/5): - Room very comfortable
- Naomi (4/5): - The property is tired! Our check in experience wasn’t great, the staff seemed incompetent. Our room had an upgraded bathroom, however, it could have been cleaner. The second bedroom in our family room had no fan or air conditioning, which meant that our two children couldn’t sleep in there - we dragged the mattresses out to the main room.
Curtains were filthy and not hanging properly in some spots.
The pool was not clean and there was a huge amount of wasps in the area, including in the water.
No meals were available due to no chef.
We won’t stay there again and wouldn’t recommend it to our friends.
- craig (6/5): - The place is alright to stay if you just want a place to sleep
- Con (8/5): - Great value
- Meg (8/5): - It was a spacious family room. It was clean but smelt like cigarette smoke. The window front and kangaroos were lovely. It rained so we didnt get to use the pool.
The almond farm next door had a gas gun that went off but was not able to hear it in the room.
Comfortable stay.
Undercover parking was great considering the storm.
The restaurant was closed but staff rang ahead to tell us it would be closed.
I would stay there again with the family.
- karen (10/5): - Lovely quiet place to relax.delxue rooms are lovely with lovely views
- Daniel (8/5): - Clean room, great location. Only drawback was the bistro being closed until the new chef arrives. Otherwise no complaints.
