Lisa (7/5): Good location close to attractions in Melb CBD. - Was close by where we needed to go, the room itself was clean and comfortable. Bed was way too hard for my liking and it was very noisy for a while but quietened down after a while. Easy to get to and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We received an upgrade which was much appreciated. We arrived by train and to walk from Southern Cross station it was a long way up hill. But other than that, it was a good place to stay.

Sandra (7/5): Great location, fabulous reception staff but the apartment is very tired - I won't stay again - The location is brilliant, as are the staff, very friendly courteous, helpful. I could not fault the reception staff The building and the room are very tired. Needs a good scrub and some repairs and repaint. Cushions, lounge, pillows all very flat. Windows didn't open and one was locked or jammed open so at night was cold. they gave me the top floor apartment but it doesn't say on the listing that it has a very steep internal staircase to navigate with a heavy suitcase. The reception staff carried it down for me and said if I ever stayed again to let me know and they wouldn't put me in the room with the best view.

Brad (7/5): Convenient, comfortable accommodation in Melbourne city, with plenty of room. - The apartments are very well located, within easy walking distance of transport and shopping. Rooms are spacious and clean, and ours had new carpets and recently refurbished bathroom. Hot water was plentiful and the shower nice to use. The lift is very slow (we were on the top floor) and noise from Hosier Lane next door could be intrusive at odd times during the night or early morning. Lighting was on the low side, as the light covers are yellow.
Ann (9/5): - Our apartment was comfortable, warm and CENTRAL, we could walk out to everything Melbourne has to offer, two minutes to trams and trains, and restaurants on our doorstep. The staff were helpful and friendly. We would stay here again. The apartment does not have double glazing, it is in a beautiful old building with high ceilings and large windows, however the noise on Friday and Saturday nights was manageable with earplugs, the bed comfortable and we slept well.

The noise in the night and early morning from outside were too loud. One of the bedrooms had no windows. The floor in the other bedroom must have been flooded in the past, so the carpet and flooring by the door were uneaven.

Under the coffee table (which was very easy to slide) there were peanuts and other dirty bit. The couch cushions constantly moved and so many crumbs in them. The cutlery drawer was very dirty inside and in the pull that you have to touch. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut. We didn’t have housekeeping, which is totally fine but they didn’t supply a broom or vacuum. So overall felt pretty dirty especially with 3 young kids rolling around the floor. We upgraded to an executive suite this time hoping it would be better, but because of this we wouldn’t stay again

Super friendly, extremely helpful and answered any question I had. I was staying for a work function and Flinders Landing Apartments is in the perfect location! Close to parking and within walking distance to great food. I was lucky enough to be booked for a 2 bedroom apartment. Great size, didn’t feel cramped and had all the amenities you need. I highly recommended Flinders Landing Apartments if you are looking to stay in Melbourne CBD for work or just a weekend get away. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for everything That I wasn’t staying longer :)

Annmarie (7/5): One night, place to sleep - Fabulous location, large appartment (basement) for 4 people. Very inexpensive. Be prepared if you get the basement, there is limited natural light. A bit dated, needs some TLC. BUT for the price, for 4 adults and the location. Good for a place to rest your head.
Fiona (5/5): great location for the wedding we attended, but room was disappointing for the price paid - Good location for the function we were attending. Found great breakfast spot nearby too. Lady on reception was lovely. The holes in every ceiling should have been patched. Work had been done on sprinkler system and 10x10cm holes in each room. The couches were dirty and the dining chairs were broken or unstable. There was a ridge under the carpet just outside the bathroom door that was a trip hazard. The TV did not have a remote and it was too old to pick up all the free to air channels (ie 7). There was no hair dryer in the bathroom and it took a lot of mucking around and waiting to get one delivered and when it did, it was a damaged one that only worked the one time! For the premium price we paid, I would expect much better quality in the room. this was 2-3 star at best!

The doors were dirty, cushions falling apart and lounge was stained and faded. Nothing like the photos The noise was above. Beside Hosier lane we had continual doors shutting day and night from the restaurants below and the collection of waste and bottles during early hours of the morning each day made for little sleep. The homeless would get into arguments below at the Lounge Room

Gary (9/5): - Location was excellent,right in the middle of restaurants and shopping.Room was large and comfortable, Pillows were a bit flat , maintenance could be better (broken soap dish in shower and taps seemed to need new washers ( but these are only small matters)

Peebles (3/5): Location and size very good but needs a thorough clean - Location and size of the rooms were good. The apartment could have done with some TLC (read maintenance and painting) plus a thorough deep clean. Found the couches far too low and difficult to get out of.Other family members who stayed in other apartments in the complex have said their room weren’t even cleaned when they checked in and had to ask for them to be done.

Kerry and Neil (8/5): Great budget accommodation - Great location on Hosier Lane in West End area. Basic budget accommodation suited our brief visit for an event. We spent our days and evening out, so we just needed a crash pad for the nights. It was perfect for our needs this trip. Unfortunately you won’t see the She Matters mural (see in pics) by Red Heart Campaign, Sherele Moody, Femicide Watch journalist. It has recently been removed by owners of the forum theatre (for structural maintenance issues - questionable and shameful action on their part) Nothing to complain about.

Sarah Toohey (9/5): always a good place to stay - While the place is looking very dated, there is lots of room and excellent location. no air conditioning in the bedrooms and no exhaust fan in the bathrooms

Laura (2/5): Filthy room in a different building - Apologetic and responsive staff in the morning when I did return to the building. She immediately refunded me, but this did not distract from the massive inconvenience and significantly added cost trying to find new accommodation during a weekend of both the Formula 1 and AFL. She did say if it had been in hours, I would have been moved to the main Flinders Landing building, which has nicer rooms. She said all of the complaints and bad reviews they get are from rooms in the building over the road - which didn’t exactly help things as it shows they are clearly aware of the issues, and continue to sell rooms with false advertising. I arrived after a late and delayed flight at 2am, to find the flat was in a different building (across the road). I had been emailed prior to my stay that some maintenance work was being done in the communal areas. This was not entirely accurate - the entire building was like a building site with construction debris everywhere. There were signs about required cladding works over the walls, and anyone coming from the UK will be very wary of this after Grenfell. There were signs on the room door and balcony door about forbidden access to the balcony due to works. Once in the flat, it became clear it was filthy. There were dead bugs over the windowsills, months (if not years) of build up under the bed, hair over the bedding, bathroom and floors, and things in the bathroom bin. It very clearly had not been cleaned. Nobody picked up the phone when I attempted to call at 2am, so I stayed there until 5am, and promptly left to a new hotel at significant expense.

Rachael (8/5): Amazing value and conveniently located. We would certainly return. - Apartment was very spacious and conveniently located - could walk to everything. A little rundown and a very soft couch.

Marg (6/5): Great location and time for updating. - Location was great, the place was clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms were tired looking. Curtains were broken in bedroom and couldn’t be closed properly. Couch was very uncomfortable- sinking down with no support. Bathroom had cracked tiles, missing grout, carpet frayed at doorway and the toilet cistern looked very old and mottled.

Susan (8/5): Great space on the city centre - Excellent location, heaps of restraunts within a 5 minute walk. 10 minutes to Flinders St station- easy walk. Very spacious living area & 2 bathrooms was great
