• Donatas (3/5): Overpriced - The staff was very supportive and helpful. The entire experience was disappointing, particularly the dinner I had been looking forward to. The food was bland and tasteless, and no one explained how to prepare the dishes provided. Given the price, I expected the meal to be cooked for us. It is significantly overpriced for what is offered and simply not worth the money for a one-night stay.

• TAKASHI (4/5): 朝の散歩は良かったけど - ロケーションぐらいかな 施設全体が古い感じです。布団でなくベッドマット？薄いし。。。 特にエアコンが部屋ごとに調整できず、通常より暑い日だったのですが、暖房しか使えない状態でした。快適ではない中で過ごすしかないのは残念でした。 朝食は洋食をチョイスしましたが、ショボすぎました。パン食の洋食なのに、ご飯とみそ汁がおかわり自由なのが謎ですが、それを食べないとお腹空いちゃう。。。

Un peu defraichi et tarif un peu élevé pour le Japon mais pas pour Miyajima qui est plus chère que d'autres endroits au Japon.
• Charlotte (10/5): Lovely hotel on Miyajima with excellent Japanese dinner - Really lovely hotel in great peaceful location on Miyajima. We were picked up by the hotel from the ferry terminal which worked well. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. We had the hotel dinner and breakfast which were great experiences. Lots of fresh fish and seafood! We didn’t use the onsen but there was one in the hotel and we had access to this. Good value for money. It was a little dated but clean and very comfortable.

Very happy that we were picked up and dropped off at ferry terminal. Otherwise easy walking to all the main attractions. Very Japanese fare for set dinner - mostly pretty tasty but a few things just not for me. There was certainly plenty of food. Similarly for breakfast.

Navetta da e per il terminal traghetti ogni mezz'ora nelle ore di punta (ma va prenotata perché si può riempire in fretta), ad ogni modo in 20 minuti di camminata veloce ci si arriva a piedi. Cibo. Abbiamo optato per la cena Kaiseki ma è stata la peggiore di 3 cene Kaiseki. Le cameriere avevano fretta e non spiegavano come preparare cibo che andava cotto in stile shabu shabu ma è da conoscere. Colazione, quella meno buona e meno varia fra gli hotel in cui abbiamo avuto la colazione. Queste strutture non prevedono il letto fisso in camera, quando si vuole dormire ce lo si deve fare da sé.

The view was perfect and you could see the lights in Hiroshima while looking at the ferry lighted too. It was very nice and traditional. There were sakuras and deers surrounding us. • Vicky (6/5): Ok for 1 night - The staff were very friendly and helpful We booked a traditional roken room which was very basic and tired looking. The breakfast was very traditional and not really to my liking. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the main area, be warned, if you choose not to eat at the hotel all restaurants close at 5pm. We had to walk back to the ferry terminal to the only hotel on the island that had a very small restaurant open. I would suggest eating at the hotel but you need to prebook. My son and his fiance used the public bath and said it was lovely. It’s single sexed and they were the only one’s using it which was a bonus.

They didn’t ask us if we wanted the Japanese or Western breakfast and just assumed we wanted the Western one, which wasn’t very good. When I book a ryokan I enjoy the Japanese food. Wish the hotel hadn’t just assumed what we would like based on nationality.

• Brandon (9/5): Great hotel tucked away - The staff was wonderful, the location was scenic being on Miyajima Island and was quiet. The dinner and breakfast were both very tasty and I liked that they have different menus for different days that you are there. For me personally, the futon bedding was a little too thin so I had to double up. Location can be a bit far for people who may feel tired after a lot of walking.

Did we enjoy the experience very much so. Did we enjoy the food not always. Staff very polite & helpful as you would expect. Easy walk to see shrine. Slight stench in bathroom. Took a bath, on draining bath, water came up through drain on floor. Had to use towel to soak up what didn't drain back in. Not sure needs to be smoking room on floor, could have 1 room downstairs only.
