- MENIT (5/5): Moyen, nous nous attendions à mieux vue le descriptif sur le site booking. - Petit déjeuner payant correcte. Emplacement pratjque pas loin du port et des point de rendez vous pour les excursions. Aucun membre du personnel parlait le français alors que dans le descriptif cette prestation etait présente et que ce critère a motivé mon choix. Groses difficultés avec La robinetterie de la douche pour obtenir de l’eau à température. Wifi instable et difficultés pour regader la television Fermeture des fenêtreset defaillante pas de double rideau de de fait chambre peu insonorisée Presence d’un Réfrigérateur non fonctionnel dans la chambre. Pas de service d’entretien durant le séjour (lit non refait , serviette non remplacée etc..)

- Lashonta (7/5): Great an awesome location . - The location for the carnival week. It’s perfect ! Next to everything! The website said that there was a restaurant. There was no food or housekeeping . We had to take our own trash out and ask for more towels/ remove our own towels.

- Peter (1/5): Unbearably noisy - Not much to like Location, so noisy, all day and all night 24 hours. Noisy motorcycles, noisy music, car horns, impossible to sleep. I booked for 10 nights but cancelled after the first night, and moved down along the waterfront to a quieter location. Staff were understanding and didn’t make a fuss. The noise is part of their lives I guess. But they should declare this noise factor on their marketing

- P (2/5): Well located but huge improvement needed - The location is very close to ferry terminal (5-7min walk), there is a supermarket next door and few min walking bigger grocery stores. Right in the centre with museum, church, all other sights. Staff was friendly. I was granted late check out, which was very nice. Absolutely not worth 110usd/night. Stained pillow cases, super hard block pillows, no toiletries at all provided, not even a soap. The fridge stinks and its rusty. TV didnt work. Barely any place to place your suitcase. I mentioned this to the staff, yes they apologised but no follow up, not action. As it is in the centre, it is loud bcz of the street noise. Be prepared to climb stairs, depending on your room. No elevator.

Pas de lait , pas de chocolat et la quantité des œufs pas suffisante Ne correspondait pas à un petit déjeuner local de la Dominique car pas de racine , pas de bokit , pas de morue. La réceptionniste ne propose pas systématiquement le petit déjeuner et quand on lui demande elle dit qu il fallait réserver alors qu elle ne nous l'a pas proposé. On ne pouvait pas deviner. Le petit déjeuner quantité insuffisante. Il n est pas proposé au check in et quand on le demande la réceptionniste répond qu il fallait réserver alors qu elle ne nous l à pas proposer. On peut penser que l hôtel prefere ne pas vendre ses petits déjeuner pour ne pas avoir trop de travail ?

Jennifer and her staff were so friendly and accommodating, and made our stay a good one. The rooms are simple, but the beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. Excellent water pressure. Good central location near restaurants, grocery stores, the ferry dock and bars. Can be loud at night, but the positives far outweighed the noise. I would absolutely stay here again!

- albertocD7359DX (2/5): Terrible hotel... - The hotel leave a lot to be desired. Uncomfortable and noisy (very noisy). Dated furniture, broken windows, broken/clogged bath shower, "smart tv" just to watch You Tube videos or Netflix (if you have your own account!). Restaurante just work for breakfast and lunch. No services after 3 pm. Look for other options if you want some elemental level of comfort and silence.

Breakfast was supposed to be included, but I had to pay for it (they said that special menu should be charged extra, while I had no idea which is the "special" menu). Hairdryer was supposed to be offered upon request, but a lady in the front desk said that they do not have one anyway. Disappointed overall.

- Havank102 (4/5): Not recommended - I was here in december. The hotel is under average, hot water was sometimes out, no credit card payment possible ( although internet worked fine), really bad and non- cliënt centered attitude, for 150 USD a night. I could have lived with the absurd price if the service would have been perfect. But it wasn't. Positive: it has an in house bar with fair prices, working (!) Airco in room, bed is fine, so you will sleep well. Challenge yet to be met: a good breakfast.
- 0123DS (8/5): Centrally located, clean and amazingly intact after the hurricane - Just spent a week there on business, and was surprised how well the place is running compared to the other hotels in Roseau. The room was spotlessly clean, the AC worked well, there was food and drink served every night, and amazingly cheerful staff. Dominica has been hit hard by hurricane Maria, but judging how well the hotel is already running I would certainly look to stay here on future trips. It is also centrally located so walking distance to most places in town. The street gets quite lively durihg weekend evenings, but all in a good natured way.
- lifeisgoodinMyanmar (10/5): Excellent service despite the circumstances! - A large group of us stayed during Hurricane Maria. Jared did everything in his power to keep us safe and fed. He guarded the door the first night. He cooked our meals. He was a gem throughout the entire hurricane and aftermath. I'm sure it wasn't easy for him because the storm was a major catastrophe but he really did a great job taking care of us. We wish him all the best and are thankful to have spent a few scary days with him.
- 523keelyh (10/5): Amazing owner, service and hospitality! - We stayed at La Flamboyant through Hurricane Maria. The hotel was a safe and sturdy and clean place and the owner, Jared, went above and beyond to take care of our group. Jared is a great cook who worked hard to provide us with hot meals throughout our stay. We are so thankful that we were staying at La Flamboyant and wish them the best as Dominica rebuilds. We would gladly stay here in the future!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Will Not Go There Again - I went for business for one week. Noisy at nights from karoke across the street. I woke up late one morning (on Saturday) and was down to breakfast at 9AM but the staff told em they prepared none since I missed my usual 7.30 time and assumed I was not having any. That was pretty unprofessional.
- LizzaPizza (8/5): Came back three times to stay here, we enjoyed it so much. - Pros: + Wifi worked well + There was a bar downstairs + The location is perfect, smack dab in the middle of the city. Although in such a small place, I feel like a lot of places have a great location. This place was right next to shopping areas, a pharmacy, an ATM, a Chinese restaurant (which was always open, convenient since a lot of the local spaces had funky hours that didn't match our funky schedule). + The staff was incredibly friendly. One lovely lady let us sit at the bar and drink while she called around finding our next hotel in the next city over. She put a lot of work into as well. + They'll arrange a cab for you. + Rooms were basic but tidy. The AC worked well, too. We could turn those rooms into refrigerators, and when you've spent the day hiking, this is great. + Breakfast seemed to be eggs (omelette, scrambled, whatever). Ham or Bacon, tasty juice, tea, coffee, lots of fruit. The cook was sweet. + They accepted cards, where most hotels seemed to only want cash. + We kept showing up with no reservations, and they always had room for us. HOWEVER, this could be as we were travelling more at shoulder season, so maybe it is best to make a reservation anyway if you're travelling later in the year. Cons - The bar kept running out of cold beer, but I suppose this was more our fault than theirs (a family of travelling alcoholics). It also would close unexpectedly. Plan to probably drink elsewhere, or bring beers back to your room from the store.
- B2673LTjosephd (8/5): Great LOcation - The hotel is located right in the city of Roseau. Great view from up top. Needs to open its restaurant for lunch and dinner. I enjoyed the fact that the hotel is walking distance from the ferry. Nice .
- SwedeinUSA (2/5): Try to have a meal at the restaurant - Didn't stay, but we ordered food. After 45 min, they came and asked..."what did you order". 1.5 hrs later we got our food. OK, it is a 3rd world country, but this was pretty bad. Don't go here to eat.
- peggydaly (8/5): In the Heart of Roseau - After our reservations elsewhere fell through we were thrilled to get a room at La Flamboyant. We were also thrilled to have A/C :). The staff really warmed to us and we felt like friends by the time we left. The rooms are basic but very clean and everything works great. It was cleaned daily. A really good breakfast is included (eggs, sausage, fruit, etc) and there is a water cooler in the lobby. Free wifi in the lobby but it did not work in our room. The surrounding night life can be loud so bring earplugs if you are staying on the weekend. Sitting out on the front verandas provides great people watching. It really is in the heart of the activity in Roseau.
- A (4/5): Good Location and that is about it. - Hotel Reception desk had 3 staff when I arrived and none of them could find my reservation. Thank goodness I paid for an international package on my cell phone and was able to show them the reservation in my emails. My reservation was for a room with one queen sized bed and I was instead provided a room with a double and single bed. No elevator in this hotel. Window catch in my room was broken, which meant the window wouldn't close properly and the hotel is on a very busy street with a bar almost directly across the road. My room was meant to have a bar fridge in it, which was delivered a few hours after check-in, complete with a suspiciously curly looking hair inside. Walls in room badly marked and scuffed. The tiles and grout in the shower were so dirty/stained, that I showered with flip flops on and the shower rail was so badly rusted, that the rust soaked into a shirt I had hung up to dry and would not come out with either detergent or bleach. One positive to the bathroom was that the sink/basin was deep and therefore great for hand-washing clothes. The room had both US and UK wall outlets which was handy. Linen on the beds was clean and the double bed was relatively firm and comfortable. The single bed sagged a little in the middle. My breakfast order in the hotel dining room was taken 3 times by 2 different waitresses and took 45 minutes to be served. It was however very tasty once served - eggs, ham, toast, fruit juice and fruit.
- Joatthebeach (2/5): What a shambles. - Do not stay here. There is a blaring karaoke bar directly across the road that can stay open until 4:30am or so every night. The lack of air con in a lot of the rooms means that you have to leave your windows open, which lets the cacophony in. We had three room changes (after they gave our room to someone else), were taken to 'our' second room; walked in to find someone else already in there. The breakfast was very average (unless you like waiting 45mins for cold toast). We tried to pay our bill four times, but the receptionist got distracted each time. She then told us to withdraw the cash from the atm (at a fee to us of about (12usd) because the credit card machine wasn't working. She tried to overcharge us, which we wonder if she might have pocketed the extra cash,had we not insisted she try their credit card pos. The wifi was very crap- dropping in and out every couple of mins and as described in other reviews- was much better in the lobby. The number 10 room on each floor's windows fronted onto a balcony that was accessible by all guests, and the windows there had no locks, making that room unsafe. There is also no safe in the room and they don't like to hold stuff at reception. The manager was very pleasant and some of the reception staff were friendly. The gentleman serving breakfast was trying very hard. Our final room had good aircon and the beds were reasonably comfy. The shower was good. Location was very reasonable, aside from the bar across the road. (We found another place that looked much more homely and for $66-77usd per night called Ma Bass on Field's Lane- if you want to try that?)
- Theresa (8/5): Clean Hotel and Friendly Staff - Hotel is conveniently located in the City. Most importantly for me was the 5 minute walking distance to the Roman Catholic Cathedral Chapel (the Cathedral is being renovated) as I needed to attend all my Holy Week masses, which were great. The hotel itself was clean and the room airconditioned with an additional standing fan in the room. The smiling management and staff were very hospitable, friendly, accommodating and always ready to assist where possible. The meals were OK. I honestly enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to others. The only downside was the nearby disco which plays music too loudly at night; that, however, didnot interfere with my sleep.
- Yaki622 (6/5): Average - Was not the worst but definitely wasn't the best. If you don't like climbing stairs i don't recommend this hotel. We were on the 4th floor and imaging carrying your bags all these stairs nightmare, however if your in Dominica for the carnival its really a gr8 location. You're able to see the entire carnival from your balcony. Follow the bands easy access to and from the events. That was the best part of staying there. Its in the heart of the city which gives you easy access to the restaurants, bars , shops etc.
- Zeefoxx (6/5): Nice beautique Hotel in the Roseau. - Nestled in the heart of the city, it is a fantasic place to rest after hitting the sites and sounds of Roseau and environs. Great location for shopping as well as visiting the hot spots of the Roseau Valley.
- 67RichardD (8/5): Very Central and a good price - Centrally situated, and very good value, perfectly clean rooms and wonderful reception staff. Roadide rooms can be noisy because of all the Regge Music. A weird set up for breakfast and uncomfortable layout. The lady who actually has the franchise for the beakfasts is charming and will do anything to help you, so will her husband. However the rest of the beakfast staff when she is not they have a law unto themselves on sloppy service. A very good place to stay.
- soffis (6/5): Ok accomodation and location - We stayed here for a few nights while doing some excursion on the island. The hotel has 3 floors named after the colour in the hallways and rooms, green 1st, orange 2nd and pink 3rd. All floors has a shared balcony facing the street. The room closest to the balcony has a window on the balcony so people on the balcony can see into the room. The rooms don't have balconies but they have AC and in some cases a fan as well. Our room was clean and had a queen size bed. The shower had a good pressure. On some nights there are quite a bit of noise from the street and nearby bars. We had a room facing the street so we had noise one night but Saturday and Sunday was really quiet. The wifi in the room was slow but ok in the lobby. The reception is open to 9 pm after that an evening guard is staying by the main entrance, however they prefer if you bring your key with you then get it from the evening guard. There are no safety box in the room and they prefer not to take your valuables in the reception but the hotel felt quite safe. The breakfast is simple but served at your table. First day we got an omelet with bread, next day beans and sausages and the third day some sort of deep fried sandwich. The location of the hotel is good only a few minutes from the port. There is a smaller supermarket in the corner. Roseau is not big so everything is in walking distance.
- Pemanm (2/5): Not recommended - If you like noisy places from Monday to Sunday, pick that one! It's convenient because it's located right in town. But Internet is slow, and you have a disco just next door...opened whenever the guys feel like it...
