• Bianca (10/5): Comfort en heerlijk zwemmen voor een betaalbare prijs - Ondanks de vertraging stond Wendy op ons te wachten. Er werd halverwege de week schoon gemaakt en we kregen nieuwe handdoeken. Het was rustig in de avond. Ook in het restaurant en rond het zwembad was iedereen vriendelijk. Het menu is voldoende met elke dag een specialiteit. Dat gasten 2 parkeerplekken gebruiken. Om die reden moesten wij een aantal keer de auto buiten het terrein parkeren. Er is voldoende parkeerplek als iedereen rekening met elkaar houdt.

• Deborah (9/5): Enorm gastvrij, geweldig uitzicht en ruime appartementen. - Het resort is heel centraal gelegen op het eiland, prachtig rondom uitzicht over het eiland, heerlijke zwembaden. Het appartement was heel ruim met een groot balkon waar we genoten hebben van de zonsondergangen. Ook heel fijn dat er een restaurant aanwezig was waar we erg lekker hebben gegeten. Doordat het een schoolvakantie was, verbleven er veel lokale families met een dagpas bij het zwembad. Daardoor was het best druk en luidruchtig overdag.

O quarto é espaçoso e conta com uma cozinha completa, inclusive com geladeira com freezer, o que foi muito útil durante a viagem. A equipe do hotel é simpática e auxiliou no agendamento de passeios. A piscina é agradável. Ficamos durante 4 dias no hotel, porém o quarto foi limpo uma única vez. O colchão da cama é mole. O ar condicionado de 1 dos cômodos custava a gelar, porém não chegou a atrapalhar o sono. O sinal de wi-fi só funcionou em 1 cômodo do quarto. O café da manhã começa apenas às 08:00.

• Balentien (10/5): There's simply not much to say because I felt at home. The place is well located, a very friendly - I loved the kindness and the service, I felt at home, the cocktails and the food were delicious. a very friendly team ready to help in any situation.
• Vakantie Bonaire (8/5): Leuke en gezellige vakantie - Prima keuken lekkere gerechten en aardige personeel Mooie ligging en goede bereikbaarheid, eigenlijk 90% binnen 15 auto minuten bereikbaar. Helaas waren de hotel gasten niet op de hoogte van het gebruik van zwembad (meestal 1 van de 2) voor zwemles. En dan was er soms enige overlast van ouders en meekomende spelende kinderen.
• G J (9/5): We hebben hier een heel prettig verblijf gehad dat helemaal voldeed aan onze verwachtingen - De airco op onze kamer werkte niet goed. Nadat we dat hadden aangegeven werd er direct naar gekeken en naar een oplossing gezocht. We kregen een andere kamer waar we heel blij mee waren. Alles was prima geregeld in het hotel. Maar als je hier naartoe gaat moet je wel bewust zijn dat er iedere dag meerdere zwemlessen worden gegeven en dat je hierdoor niet altijd van het zwembad gebruik kunt maken.

• Marlou (10/5): Hillside Resort- hier ist an alles gedacht! - Wir kommen regelmäßig nach Bonaire und wir buchen immer Hillside Resort! Warum? Hier stimmt einfach alles! Es fängt schon bei der Anreise an. Wir werden immer herzlich in Empfang genommen. Die Zimmer sind vollständig, gemütlich und sauber ausgestattet. Zwei fantastische große Schwimmbäder, die täglich gepflegt werden. Abends sind die Pools & die Anlage so schön beleuchtet. Das Personal ist überdurchschnittlich freundlich und gehen auf die Bedürfnisse der Gäste ein. Außerdem können wir nur wärmstens das Restaurant und die Bar empfehlen! Das Essen und Trinken ist spitze und das Ambiente ( vor allem bei Sonnenuntergang) ein Traum! So kann man den Urlaub genießen!

The airconditioner broke last day and wet the bed. The bathroom was disgusting not clean. Hairs from previous visitors in the showers. We told staff but everytime there was no improvement. And the towels and bedding smelled weird. The location was great. But if you want to feel clean don’t go here

• Nick (4/5): Bonaire is an amazing island for ocean lovers. - The location of the Hillside Bar & Restaurant is indeed unique, offering stunning views of the island. Regarding our accommodation, we had a ground-floor apartment by the pool, and I wouldn’t choose that option again. Here are my thoughts: 1. The apartment was functional but nothing more. 2. The cooking utensils need an upgrade—particularly the knives, as the pans should be replaced. 3. The back balcony offered nice views of the ocean and stunning sunsets. 4. The table on the balcony needs repair or replacement. 5. Overall, the place looks a bit tired. As for the pool area: 1. There is no designated guest-only area, making it feel like a public pool. The pool was particularly busy and noisy during our stay, with a lack of parental control. 2. On the first weekend, it was chaotic. When we returned from diving, our outdoor table was taken over by three gentlemen having a party. When we asked them to move, they were uncooperative, and I had to make a formal complaint. 3. After a day of children running around, the pool was not a pleasant place to swim. One day, the smell of urine was noticeable in one of the pools. 4. A pool table outside our unit attracted noise and disturbances. It would be better suited in the bar area instead. Regarding parking, dedicated guest parking was supposed to be available, but we never found a spot after returning from our days dive or outing activities in the designated guest only parking places assigned(maybe once we did). I inquired at the bar one day and learned that swimming lessons were occupying the spots. It defeats the purpose of having dedicated parking for guests. The public has access to the pool, which leads to the parking lot being busy all day.

• Miloushka (7/5): Besides the odd smell in the bedroom in the morning we liked our stay. - I liked the two bedroom appt and the space it has. I like that I could make use of the pool during the day and the ordering of food. That we woke up for days with a smell an odd smell of the sewerage system and that was not comfortable. It was a very bad smell and sometimes this smell was during the day also. After 2 days it was fixed, but after the 4th day it started again and that was not nice and we stayed for 7 days.

Daily specials including 'oliebollen' around new years' eve ;-) Couch was way too small for family of 4 and wasn't very comfortable to sit on. Aircondition in one of the rooms was rather old and noisy. The other was OK though. Some way of transport (car) is recommendable.

• Lekendra (8/5): Relaxing resort in Bonaire! - I loved that there was a restaurant, bar, and pool on the property. I didn’t like that no one helped me carry my 50 lb bag up the stairs and sometimes it was hard to get someone to service me by the pool.

• Martin (8/5): Overall a pleasant experience - Friendly staff, good location- great food! It was a shame that there were noisy construction works (drilling and sawing) that started every morning before 8am and carried on for most of the day during our stay. We were not made aware of these when we arrived. We are sure this is probably a one off during low season and we acknowledge maintenance work has to be done, however it did spoil our stay somewhat.
• Mr. (9/5): This is easily my accommodation of choice when staying in Bonaire! - It was within 5 - 10 minutes of all my meeting locations, supermarkets, restaurants, etc... There is also a great restaurant on location. The property is well maintained, has friendly and helpful staff, and the view was fantastic. Wendy was also a very pleasant host with good communication. The only thing I could think of is that it would have been more convenient to have an iron and clothes hangers available in the room. However, it is quite understandable why irons are only made available upon request. The closet had ample shelves but no hanging space.

There was mold on the ceiling, indicating no proper maintainance. - Tissue paper was not replaced during the stay. And this is basic! - And if you don´t speak Dutch, you won´t get much attention from the staff overall.

Em geral: Decepcionada O que gostei: A cozinha era ótima e super bem equipada, o ar condicionado funcionava bem. A limpeza foi boa e o quarto é bem espaçoso. Toalhas de praia são oferecidas (mediante depósito antecipado de U$100). O que Não gostei · Fiquei hospedada aqui em set/22 tambem, e de lá para cá as coisas mudaram muito. Agora - novembro de 2023 foi realmente decepcionante e muito mais caro pelo que oferece. Definitivamente não escolherei ficar lá novamente. - O resort dá prioridade aos visitantes de day-use e ao restaurante em vez dos hóspedes, então se você está procurando um lugar tranquilo para ficar: esqueça. - Nos finais de semana a piscina fica lotada de pessoas que não estão hospedadas no hotel, o que significa menor segurança e privacidade. - A recepção abre às 9h, se precisar de algo antes deste horário (ou depois das 17h), não terá a melhor ajuda possível. - O quarto cheirava a mofo e cigarro, embora eu tenha pedido um quarto para não fumantes. Havia mofo no teto, indicando falta de manutenção adequada. - O papel higienico não foi substituído durante a estadia. E isso é básico! - E se você não fala holandês, não receberá muita atenção da equipe em geral.

• Charimae (1/5): Dissapointing - Loud music, whole bed and appartment was trembling. Not able to rest. Staff discriminates non european guests. Not even bath towels available on request.
• Henriquez (10/5): Great Stay at Hillside - Service was great, This is the third time I'm staying there and will do it again, and recommend all family and friends to do so. Great location and service were top. At the bar, we had a great time on Friday night. Very easy and comfortable to sit and work at the table, Keep up the good service.
• Ej (5/5): Our experience during 6 days stay - Amazing view; pools ; location; breakfast 1. Septic tank odor coming from bedroom ac for days 2. Cleaning lady came every 3 days to empty garbage cans (bathroom and kitchen) and replace bath towels. No floor/bathroom cleaning during our whole stay. 3. Purchase of toilet paper and soap to wash hands for own use.

• retired_on_Bonaire (4/5): terrible service and they refused a take home container for the leftovers - Went here for lunch today with some friends. The service was bad and because I am a small eater, I wanted to take half my meal home. But was told they did not supply take home containers. Obviously won't be going back. There are plenty of restaurants where I can get a better meal (for a lower price) with friendly service.
• Cynthia (8/5): Great owner, nice location for views of the area. - We ended up staying three weeks rather than one, obviously not feeling the need to change properties. My only complaint is that we booked a one bedroom with living room which turned out to be a studio (no separate living room) and quite small. We were able to change to a two bedroom with living room, very roomy, but. of course, at an additional charge. The restaurant is very good, especially "tuna Tuesday:. Again, the listing of the type of property needs to be changed. There is only studios and two bedroom apartments, no one bedroom apartments.
