Guest Reviews
- Jojo (10/5): Great BNB for a romantic getaway - Mike and Debbie are fantastic hosts. The breakfasts were amazing and our room was quite comfy. We took advantage of the hot tub. Perfect after a long day of hiking. There's also a sauna but we ran out of time. Maybe next time. We'll definitely be back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was perfect, super kind hosts.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The innkeepers go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. The breakfast and evening sweets were amazing! The only thing I would improve upon is the super firm bed.
- Katherine (10/5): Best B and B in CA. - Owners made stay very enjoyable including wine with guests, dessert in evening, wonderful rooms and breakfast. Dietary restrictions were accommodated. Best experience at Band B in the USA.
- joshua (10/5): Charming - Santa Nella house was a great B&B. We stayed in the cottage room, which is a separate room in the back of the main house. It was very tranquil and cozy. The hosts were excellent, and so was the breakfast! There are a ton of wineries nearby and the ocean is about 25 minutes away. I loved it.
- Heather (10/5): Great B&B in beautiful area - We had a nice stay at Santa Nella House. Very nice location close to town, redwoods, and a short drive to the coast. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the room comfy and clean!
- elizabeth (10/5): Stepping back in time - The house reminded me of the house that i lived in at Berkeley many years ago. The bathroom has a tub with a shower stand, all enclosed with two shower curtains around it. The water flow was nice and everything worked.
There is a fireplace in the room and the bed was quite comfortable. As you enter the house, you are greeted by the sweat smell of cinnamon and home cooking. They put out some home made tasty cookies and chocolate at night along with hot tea. The breakfast included fresh fruits, yogurt, eggs, corn bread, juice, tea/coffee, and bacon. The house is by a road but there was hardly any traffic and we got a very good night of sleep. There is also a small stream running by the property which adds to the beauty of the place. We had a room on the second floor. There are steps to get to the floor level and a second set of steps to get to the second floor. For older people who have trouble navigating stairs or families with small kids this may be an issue. But for us it made it extra fun.
- Nancy (10/5): - Wonderful hosts. Great breakfasts
- Ok-Hee (10/5): Lovely B&B in a forest setting - Lovely B&B in a quiet forest setting, very comfortable bed, close to Guerneville. The only downside was the fireplace needed better ventilation but that was a minor issue compared to the whole experience.
- Cheryl (10/5): - It was our idea of the perfect Bed and Breakfast experience. It's a fine old home with wrap around porch, beautifully maintained and decorated down to the last detail. Gracious and accommodating host and hostess. Excellent food. It was a great close location for the starting swim of the Ironman Vineland Triathelon, but far enough away to have beautiful, quiet seclusion in the redwoods.
- Dave (10/5): Wonderful Sonoma Bed & Breakfast! - I booked two nights here because of its convenient location to Johnson's Beach at the Russian River in Guerneville--I was competing in the Vineman Ironman triathlon. It's about two miles from the beach, and about a twenty-minute drive from the finish line in Windsor.
My room was perfect, with a nice private bathroom, and the B&B is nicely appointed. The owners are warm, friendly and thoughtful, just as you'd expect for people who have been operating such a place for years. I didn't spend much time at the hotel, as I checked in rather late in the day on Friday and left early Saturday for the swim start, but I enjoyed my stay enough that I plan to come back for a weekend away sometime soon. Highly recommended!
- James (10/5): Great B&B tucked away in the Russian River Valley - Looking for a quiet escape while the kids were visiting Grandma, and this is a great place to get away from everything while being tucked away in Sonoma wine country. The owners were very nice and turns out we had some loose connections with them in our background. Small world! Breakfasts were huge and excellent, and they did an **amazing** job accommodating my wife's food allergies. Local recommendations for food and wineries were great. Definitely a treat staying here during the week where there is little traffic. Russian River Valley, where this is located, got quite busy on the warm Saturday when we departed.
The complimentary Sonoma Wine Tasting Pass is a huge money saver too...many wineries that we visited from the pass have $15-30 tasting fees, and they were all covered. Good for trying new wine brands you may never have heard of, and plenty that you have.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cute place with friendly owners - Secluded, and quiet (parking is a little funky but available). Loved the sauna and hot tub outside. A little off the beaten path, but definitely an enjoyable place to stay.
- Timothy (8/5): - Beautiful 1870s-era house with wrap-around porch. Short drive to Guerneville and dozens of wineries. Superb breakfasts!
- Marsha (10/5): Santa Nella Sounds - A lovely private B&B. Delicious breakfast. Accommodating owners. Loved hearing the brooke while enjoying the porch.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful bed and breakfast in lovely wooded surrounding.
- Teri & Paul (8/5): Yesteryear's charm with all of today's convenience - From the moment you turn the brass bell on front door 'till you depart over the river through the redwoods, you can't help but relax and enjoy your stay at the Santa Nella House. The rooms are well done; sheets are high count polished cotton; linnens artfully decorate each room. Snacks are set out on period perfect pieces. The breakfast was delicious and filling, accomodating to all palates! The hosts were friendly, accommodating but stayed in the background ready to meet our every need. Don't miss this place!
- Sally (6/5): Charming Victorian B&B - There was no WiFi. This is not okay in 2015. They need to upgrade. Get a more powerfiul router. Make it happen.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Mike and Debbie were very welcoming, had wine and cheese on lovely deck, delicious breakfast and enjoyed talking with other guests.
- MARVIN (8/5): Perfect balance - The innkeepers are wonderful. The porch is fabulous and breakfast is tops
