Guest Reviews
- christopher (2/5): A not so scenic cabin. - So id like to start my review with saying i dont often leave a review unless it was exceptionally great or poor. This was definitely on the poor side.
I got 2 confemation calls and a text stating that the amenities were down but the river was open. The callers also stated check in was at noon. They even had a big sign made that said the same thing. This was not the case as we arrived at 2:30 pm and the room was not ready. We were able to go to the caben but not enter till 4pm. To make matters worse the booking page said this room sleeps 6 adults and 5 children. There is no way that this would sleep 6 normal sized adults with just the beds but the ac unit wouldent keep up with the heat generated be 4 adults in the room. When we were contacted buy "thousand trais" they did state there was no running water in the cabin. This was ok as there was a bathhouse within a 100 yards but it was not always open as the cleaning lady yelled at all the guests that they were not open due to cleaning. This took over 3 hours! So no water from 10am till 1ish pm! There was noone giving out towels or other things that were needed in the room. The firepits had lots of trash in them from previous tenants that me and my party had to clean out. Sleeping was not likely as none of the mattress were remotely comfortable and the fact that the little ac sounded like a cummings diesel. And if your going just for the river, its super shallow and rocky. Could go on but im out of provided space.
- Mark (10/5): Chilling on the Peace - We’ve stayed here many times in the past, but not through Hotels.com. We always booked directly before.
We love staying here. It’s a great little getaway just to relax and escape.
Thumbs up!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Stayed in a cabin it was wonderful as usual. Beautiful weather. Shower house was very clean. The staff was wonderful. Deer and a armadillo paid us a visit it was great. Can't wait for when I can stay longer.
- Michelle (10/5): Lovely camping experience - The cabin was honestly semi-rustic, it had air conditioning and satellite TV. There was no running water, but the bath/shower house was across the path, super convenient. Everything was clean and well maintained, very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful trails on the river. We’ll definitely stay here again.
- Marcia (10/5): - We love this place. The cabin was roomy enough for us and the 2 kids. We didn't need to bring anything but our clothes and food. Price was right, and was not far from local grocery store.
- Megan (10/5): Nice escape - Stayed in the pet friendly cabin. While it looks small from the outside it had everything we needed on the inside include small kitchenette area with hot plate for cooking. For making breakfast it was great but if making bigger more complicated dinner I would reconsider the menu. Had to stay organized to make the most of the space but it was a blast the kids loved it and AC made this place heaven. Lots to do on site, free mini golf, river and some short hiking trails, game room, pool table, small dog park, shuffleboard area and pool with hot tub.
- Kathleen (8/5): quiet and clean - this was a nice quiet clean place to stay. the service was friendly. check in was easy. the cabin was very small...perfect for one...had three beds, would have been uncomfortable with anyone other than a close relative. overall...I recommend if you need to stay in the area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect getaway for the family! Cabin camping at its best, two thumbs up!!
- Benjamin (4/5): Gross - It was not as advertised or described in the info page. My cabin did not have a sink nor a bathroom. I had to use the public showers in the RV park that were gross to say the least. The toilet was covered in human waste.
- Peggy (2/5): Terrible place for us. - Terrible smell in cabin. Dirty looking sheets with long hair in the bed
Only one towel each for 3 nights. We asked for clean sheets they told us they would bring them. Never seen any sheets and no cleaning of the room. And the cabin was very dirty. Never again. Ok park for moterhomes!
- Diane (10/5): Quiet & peaceful place to relax! - Beautiful spacious cabin complete with mini refrigerator, microwave & coffee pot. Only thing missing was cups & cream & sugar. Comfortable bed 🙂
- Victoria (8/5): Cute cabin - Wachula/Zolfo Springs is a VERY rural area. The cabin was cute and probably nicer than the local hotel. One dirty washcloth was left I our shower. I'm sure that was by accident. And there were clean sheets left for the bunk bed but the girls had to make their own beds which was not easy on that top bunk! Full size fridge, very clean. Everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Newly renovated deck/ front porch. Was nice to sit on in the morning and drink coffee.
- Glen (6/5): Great rustic camping location - Great rustic camping location on Peace River. Older buildings but daily maintained. Service was wonderful and very pet friendly.
