- Joslyn Marie (10/5): This hotel is a hidden Gem - Great hotel , on the west end lagoon area. Great Breakfast, great drinks. This hotel does not have a swimming pool and you cannot swim in the lagoon it's too polluted. I wish this hotel would get an agreement with two other hotels nearby that they can use their swimming pool. There is a beautiful beach that is a two to three minute walk from the hotel.

I also enjoyed the covered dock in the afternoons for cooling off in the breeze. 10/10 😍 Nothing to dislike

- Angela (5/5): Quitaron del menú el mejor desayuno que tenían, Típico - Ubicación No era primera vez que nos hospedábamos, pero esta vez creo será la última, no nos gustó que quitaron del menú del desayuno el desayuno típico, no entendemos porque si uno que va de otro país quiere probar algo local, no pan tostado con mermelada. Pedimos cambio de habitación a una igual pero en un piso superior por la vista (que en otra ocasión nos habíamos quedado) y aunque estaba vacío el hotel nos dijeron que solo había una que era más caro (Para cobrar el extra) por esas y otras razones no creo volver a tomarlo en cuenta en próximas visitas.

Wir wollten zum schwimmen gehen,um ins Wasser zu kommen benutzt man eine Leiter, die aber so kurz ist,daß ich am Nachbargrundstück aus dem Wasser klettern musste. Das Frühstück war,das kleinste, daß wir auf unser vierwöchigen Reise durch Honduras bekommen haben. Wir haben um ein Frühstück zum mitnehmen gebeten da wir sehr bald zur Fähre mussten, die Dame an der Rezeption die immer sehr teilnahmslos war lehnt dies ab.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Unplanned Extra Night in West End - After having our flight to the US cancelled for a second day, we were pleased to find a room at Hotel Posada Las Orquideas on Hotels.com. We had seen Hotel Posada while staying in West End but hadn't stayed there before so we were excited to give it a try! The grounds are beautiful with spacious rooms and balconies. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend much time there after checking in late and heading back to the airport early the next morning. We would definitely stay here again!

- Holly (10/5): Love this place! - We loved this place! The location is great. It is nice to be near West End (a very short walk), but far enough away that it was a very peaceful setting. The hotel felt like a tree house in the jungle with a beautiful ocean view. The studio room was perfect with great amenities if you want to cook or just make coffee and use the refrigerator. The air conditioning was great and we loved our private deck with a hammock. The cafe is so cute and food is also excellent. The WiFi in the cafe is good too! We highly recommend this hotel and plan to return.

Also a pile of saw dust from a repair and a broom was left in my bathroom. Lights were left on and door was not locked by maintenance guy. They offered an apology but nothing else. Customer service is mediocre. Besides that it’s a lovely property but needs some upgrades. Good coffee and breakfast.

My husband I enjoyed taking turns relaxing in the hammock and enjoying the fresh air. It was also a short walk to the center of town. I'm glad we stayed here.

We liked the veranda with the hammock and green vegetation all around. They had various sitting areas to have a meal. Breakfast was included and generally ok except the bacon which was always overcooked. It was a nice neighborhood and we felt safe and it was close to walk to the busier part of town with shops and restaurants. Negativ: They only provided soap in the bathroom but no shampoo. The flowerbeds were not clean and had junk in it. The garbage was stored near the entrance and it smelled bad when coming or leaving the property.You could not go for a dip from the dock because the ladder was too short to get out of the water again.

Was surprised to learn that shuttle driver expected payment. The room was okay. Simply put: a room with two small beds and a bathroom. Air conditioning worked great. The patio area was nice. Front counter folks were nice. Restaurant staff were nice. Free breakfast was good. Limited choices but good nevertheless.

The dock and cabana were a nice place to relax. The breakfast was good and I especially liked the passion fruit juice. There was no TV in the room, which was nice. I'll be back.

The free breakfast is not on Tuesdays, on that day you have to walk a mile for your free breakfast. You do have access to beach chairs and kayaks through their sister facility, but if you don't ask a lot of questions you would never know that... Most of the staff is not helpful. One office person named Sasha was outstanding and really made the experience better.

- I2504VOkellyw (10/5): Loved this hotel! - Perfect location...it's a 5 minute walk to West End...just far enough away to be so quiet and relaxing. Excellent staff. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had an amazing view and breeze on the balcony. Very comfortable bed, fridge in the kitchenette. Food at the restaurant very good. Get the AC, it's worth it. Free water was a huge bonus...it's very hot in June!

- Joy (8/5): Comfortable and relaxing stay - The property faces a very quiet bay, and is surrounded by a lush palm tree garden where you can spot one or two agoutis running around. It is safe and walking distance from all amenities in west end. The rooms are rudimentary but the beds are comfortable, there is a fridge and the air conditioning worked well. Great breakfast

- Jack (8/5): - The hotel has a really nice cafe/restaurant that overlooks the sea. It has a long pier going into the bay with a great lounging area, the sunrises directly behind this. Stag were very friendly and helpful. Saw a muntjac deer wandering around the property too! Good hotel.

- Humberto (1/5): Terrible owner - The breeze that came through from the balcony We stayed here with our 11 yo son. We wanted to stay an extra day on the island so we asked the office if we could and she gave us the owners phone number to check. The owner said they were booked but they had an upstairs room that they used for the owners/ mgrs when they came to stay. Same price as our room. Good room but no balcony. Fine, we accepted, made sure we were there by noon to switch rooms. The office girl said they would bring up an extra bed to accommodate my son, no problem. Carried our luggage up to the new room and unpacked. The office girl came back 30 min later and told us we could not stay there because the room did not accommodate 3 people. The room/small apt, had plenty of room and they knew we had a child in the first place. So we packed up and left. Luckily we found a place almost across the street (the sea grape resort) and we were so glad. This new place was a beautiful resort with every amenity. Plenty of beautiful space to roam around, pool, spa...(The first place had none of these),.they even had very tame rabbits roaming around the property. Best place ever, wish we had found it first

- Diana (6/5): Would go elsewhere - Lots of space for a room for 2-3 people. A/C was working well. Showers were hot. Filtered water was available. Unclear what hours the front desk works so at night if you have a problem the only person left is the man guarding the gate. He doesn’t speak much English and doesn’t want to be bothered to help, insisting you ask the office “tomorrow.” Repeated requests for the hair dryer never arrived. There is only one being shared by all the guests. The free breakfast at the cafe is plentiful, but strangely for a Caribbean Island, does not salt their food. We ended up leaving to pay and eat breakfast elsewhere because it was so bland. The property is a bit of a walk to the center of West End, which could be a problem for some.

The indoor decor is simple but the property is beautiful, nestled at the end of a quiet road on the West End. Daily breakfast and coffee are included and are very good - Cafe de Palo is excellent all around. Highly recommend this hotel. Your balcony hammock awaits!

- Nora (8/5): - -The breakfast options are very poor and limited, we were looking for experiencing local varieties but it was not possible. -The front entrance ground was unsafe, full of rocks, and uneven. My husband, 70 y/o fell and hurt his ankle because is so terrible outside full of obstacles and dark. I strongly suggest to the owners to pay more attention to that aspect too.

The cafe Palo is a nice place to start your day with a fine breakfast. The staff were all very pleasant and did a very good job. The room we stayed in was very tired, windows in poor condition, could not open, noisy fan and malfunction stove top, which they did replace after two weeks. We paid for a deluxe studio and were put in a standard studio. I questioned this with management to no avail. We are going back to Roatán next year, but have booked another location, as management could not guarantee our chive of room for Feb. 2025.

You can also get a breeze off the water. (I didn’t need the AC while I was there.) It would be nice if there were a table in the room, but the table on the balcony is nice. The cafe is charming. The grounds are very lush.
- Juraj (7/5): Nice, but could with a little effort could be much better. - Very Quiet, Comfortable Bed, Very nice porch. Included breakfast. Hotel did not provide filters for coffee maker. Very few useful pots and utensils for the kitchenette. Freezer part of fridge full of frost and barely usable. The table and ricketty chairs were either inside or outside, and chairs quite uncomfortable.
- Oyinkan (10/5): - Beautiful views, delicious breakfast, great and accommodating staff, and very clean. We had a great time, and would be happy to stay here again during our next trip.
- Alzbeta (10/5): Exceptional - The receptionist Sasha is very very helpful. She arranges for you everything you need. The garden IS amazing! With Island rabbits! Breakfast is really tasty. Beautiful tíme over there. ❤️❤️❤️

- Jane (10/5): A delightful ocean-side get-away. - We have stayed twice in this hotel. The hotel is right by the ocean and the delightful stone path trails and various half - hidden seating areas within the well-designed gardens are charming. A perfect place for romance and relaxation.
