- Nina (7/5): It was good. - The location was convenient and beautiful. One piece of furniture was really shabby.
- Ralph (7/5): Was a last minute booking. Served the purpose! - Location , staff Could have been Cleaner. Pool was poorly maintained
- Marion (8/5): could have been better. - location... was walking distance to town and beach heating was very comfortable , and kitchen was well supplied, except for a can opener . could not use the tv . was not aware that i would need a phone to operate it? blind next to bed would not open making room dark during day.
- Linda (8/5): -
- Gillian (8/5): -
- Kathy (2/5): - The air conditioner didn't work and there was no cable TV only netflex witch we didn't have so we got our money back
- Dennis (10/5): - Friendly staff, good location, comfortable room.
- Ben (8/5): - Good special, cheaper than Maple Leaf or Save Inn.
- Marie-Dominique (8/5): - Nice and helpful staff
Room smaller than expected
Fresh and clean
- Lee (8/5): - Good location and a classic roadside motel with a bonus pool and BBQ area.
- Aires (10/5): Amazing :) - I give always attention for details, and the staff was amazing, the room has a lot of light, fresh and clean.
- Don (4/5): - We were disappointed with out stay when you finally got hot water in the shower if someone in room beside flushed or started their shower ours went scalding hot, shower drained must have been plugged didnt drain while having a shower so you stood in water ,
stained pillow cases, Rooms are not soundproof, Pool wasnt cleaned, seal on fridge was hanging off,
tolietries were left from previous visitors
Burning something when we arrived ..doing maintenance we were told..pretty sure there was burn ban on.and do not think this is time to do yes it was before 4 pm check in but I received a phone call to come between 2:30 and 3..arrived at 2:50 and was told doing maintenance could we come back thought great that is right across from our room
This was our anniversary stay it was disappointing to say the least , we were not expecting the Ritz but thought clean was not a big ask
Only given 1 room key, towels were big hand towels
- Dirk (7/5): -
- Meagan (2/5): - We booked for a last minute trip to kincardine. The photos looked nice and it was one of the only places available with a pool. We arrived and were told the keys were in the room and the door was unlocked. We got in and it was honestly the worst motel room i have ever seen. The furniture did not fit in the room, all the paint was chipping, table legs were wobbly and appliances were as old as me. The mini fridge wasnt even cold. We decided we couldnt stay there. If the room looked like this i wonder what the pool looked like. Their reviews are obviously fake. We managed to only pay for 1 of our 2 night stay because of their cancelation policy (it was a headache getting a refund for 1 night). So in the end we were out 150$. What a horrible experience. Many better places in kincardine.
- Maria (10/5): - Staff were kind and respectful. We had to leave a day earlier than planned due to a family emergency and they were very helpful and gracious, providing some sort of compensation for the early checkout.
- Amanda (10/5): - Clean and reasonable price , friendly staff
- Richard (8/5): Lucky we had reservations it seemed busy. Good value for the room - Good location well maintained and quiet Sometimes no hot water
- Timothy (4/5): - Staff were nice to deal with. Rooms were ok, toilet not bolted to floor. On site amenities, like the pool pump not working, pool not cleaned. Outside tables not cleaned.
- Meikle (9/5): Lakeview Motel is a Hidden Gem - We had an absolutely amazing time coming back to Lakeview Motel since our first trip back in 2022. The new owners are so kind and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Always checking in and wishing you a good morning etc. The room we had was perfect for the 2 of us with a Queen bed, fridge (ours wasn't working at first but was promptly replaced by the amazing owners.) microwave, desk & TV and bathroom with shower. The ability to park right out front of your room was fantastic for both hanging out in the provided chairs or to take off for the day. We also loved having the option to use the pool, BBQing area and fire pit! We met some great new friends due to the fire pit option! To top it all off you're within 5 minutes drive to downtown restaurants, shops and beautiful lake huron. We will 100% stay here again in the future. The only 2 things we had to note was the beds are a bit hard but we always travel with a matress pad for this. And maybe a couple more towel hanging spots in the bathroom would be good.
- Mary (8/5): - We were just looking for a comfortable bed in a clean room at a reasonable price and that is exactly what we got. Room looked recently renovated. Rooms are small but if you just need a place to sleep, perfect. There was a coffee maker, microwave and hair dryer. Bathroom was very clean. Other motels in the area were almost twice the price and all we needed was a clean/safe place to sleep.
- Nikola (5/5): not to pleased - no breakfest towels exchange should be every day
- Bonita (6/5): - It could’ve been cleaner, the rooms were quite small, bed needed to be replaced.
- mary (6/5): -
- Erin (8/5): - Pool needs a bit of repair. The TV went in and out very often otherwise very good.
- MONICA (2/5): - Smelt very strongly of Indian like sweat and curry. Quite dirty and grimy, lots of earwigs in the room. Horrible water pressure, it was quite difficult to shower with it aimed at the wall and not able to move.
- Ross (8/5): Decent value for the price and would definitely stay again! - Very convenient location and close to beach and downtown. Room was basic but very clean and quiet. Owner and his family were very friendly, hospitable and helpful! 😀 Would be nice if the air conditioner was upgraded to cool down the room better on hot days.
- Joan (10/5): - Very impressed with the friendly service. And lots of smiles.
- Marjorie (6/5): - Clean and comfortable beds. Room could use some minor repairs for example, toilet would not stop filling without reaching into the tank. Staff was very helpful.
- Norm (6/5): - You cn't expect much more for the price. Clean room, comfortable bed, courteous and pleasant staff. Quiet convenient location.
- Ian (7/5): -
- Harry (10/5): - Clean, quiet, comfortable. The pool was nice to have in the hot temperatures we were experiencing. In
- Maria (8/5): Went for a weekend anniversary party - Clean. Small room but has the essentials. Dated but still very comfortable. Quiet location. But the air conditioner is noisy. It does work though. A nice place at the price point
- carlos (2/5): - Hard to work with tv.nobody in office after 6pm.toilet base loose,a nasty dirty problem waiting to happen.way to small room, not worth the money.never again for me with motels !!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely and comfortable stay - This is a well-maintained, older motel, family-owned. It shows pride of ownership. It is a family doing their best to make their guests feel comfortable and welcome. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed a comfortable bed, in a reasonable size room that had a small fridge with freezer, which we used to capacity, a microwave oven, a working and not too noisy AC unit. There are 14 units and we found the area to be quiet and peaceful, just far enough for the hustle of the main part of town. We really enjoyed the pool (heated with solar heating), 2 propane BBQs, in a nice private garden area with outdoor seating, including one set under a hard top shelter. We really appreciated that there was a blue bin recycling bin in the room. Most hotels we have visited do not provide that. While it is called "Lakeview", the view of the lake is minimal. A few decades ago, it likely had a greater lake view. However, because it is up the hill from the beach, there were lovely breezes that wafted up to the property, which we did not experience when we were at the beach. One of the public beaches is a short walk away, around the corner and down the hill. One guests we met said that Kincardine is where they have seen the best sunset. Recommended. We would go again, and hope to at some point.
- Jesse (10/5): - The staff are terrific! Wonderful service and so respectful and friendly.
The rooms were clean and tidy.
Recently renovated and cozy.
The BBQ and fire pit area is an added touch.
We had a great stay and would recommend this Motel.
Beautiful town to visit great beaches and good food.
- Robin (10/5): A very nice clean motel. Will come again! - Location was conventient....pool was good...grounds were well kept. Our room had been redone. Would definately stay again and recommend. Tv cut in and out
- Evely (1/5): Disgusting, very disappointing - The location was ok Very run down, a/c was inadequate, paint peeling of the ceiling, beds were very uncomfortable, pool was very dirty, the bbqs didn’t work. Our towels and face cloths had stains on them.
- LeMesurier (8/5): Was great service was also good 👍 - No breakfast location was great 👍
- agnes (8/5): -
- Marie-Pierre (8/5): - The air conditioning in the unit was very loud. I understand that the owner explained he will change the system for next year because right now he is fully booked for the season.
- Robert (6/5): Not the best or the worst - The place was not the cleanest. It smelt of mothballs. The sheets had stains.everything was outdated.
- Doiron (8/5): -
- Chris (10/5): - Easy check in, kind and friendly staff, clean comfortable room.
- susanne (10/5): - A great little place to stay. New owners are very nice and helpful with information about places to eat. Pool was clean, rooms were clean as well. A little updating is needed in rooms but still good.
- Amanda (9/5): - Friendly and hardworking owners. Will definitely stay there again.
- Alan (4/5): Loved Kincardine but not this motel. - Reasonably close to downtown. Room was very cramped. No room to put anything. AC was noisy. No sound proofing. Location did not have a view but there was one after a walk.
- Melissa (8/5): - Cute little spot
- Cathie (7/5): Good spot for our two nights, clean, and with friendly staff. - The family operating the motel were very friendly and kind, and promptly called me when I left some clothing behind, so that I could pick it up. Much appreciated!
The room was very clean! The fridge and microwave were good. The room had a small table and two chairs.
The location was close to town and the beach. The air conditioning wasn't on when we arrived on a very hot day and was very finicky. I eventually got it working.
The bed was very nice, but the mattress a bit too soft for our preference. May be perfectly comfy for someone else, who likes a softer mattress.
- Pat (8/5): Our 2 day trip - The motel has recently been updated. The owner is very responsive and is working hard to make this nice.
- Allan (10/5): - Close to downtown and the beach. Pool was clean. Social area with bbq , seating and firepit made it seem like a cottage Shower could be upgraded but was clean
- Lilian (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at Lakeview Motel! The owners were lovely! They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The room was small but had a very comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and TV. Everything was clean and in good condition. There is a nice pool and BBQ area available to guests. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach but Kincardine has lots of free parking so i drove into town to the beach with washrooms nearby. Kincardine is a lovely town that celebrates it's Scottish heritage. The highlight of the day was the lone badpiper who played every night from the top of the lighthouse as the sun was going down. All in all it was a comfortable, relaxing, and very refreshing stay.
- Sarah (10/5): - Wonderful stay, thank you!
- Adrian (8/5): - Nice and quiet place to stay with friendly operators
- Jim (6/5): - Good location. Nice to have a pool. It's clearly a work in progress. Room 14 is separate from all others and has a kitchenette, but that is still fairly limited in its use. Continuing with the upgrades will definitely help. A new air conditioner in that room would also help both owner and tenant.
- Kevin (4/5): Disappointed and never again - Location and parking spots Everything else, old and runned down. We had no choice for accommodation since everything was booked. Paid $540. 00 for two nights total ripoff, this location took advantage of the shortage by severely overcharging for the room. Lesson learned!
- erin (8/5): - This was our 2nd stay at this property..the new owners are extremely nice ! Outdoor pool is nice. Outdoor fire pit makes the evening even more relaxing. 10 min walk to downtown restaurants. The beach is also quick to get to ! Overall very happy with our stay and the price is affordable! I am planning another stay for next year !
- Roberta (10/5): - Very clean. Owner very polite and customer service oriented
- Paradis (7/5): -
- Gail (4/5): - To start he couldn’t find my reservation. The room was very tight for 2beds The taps in the shower were reversed and switched from freezing to scalding during my shower. The air conditioner was very inefficient and had to be turned off to use the hair dryer that didn’t work. Thank goodness I brought my own. The room was clean and I found my bed comfortable the toilet leaked so mopped it up with the shower towel. There was no safety mat in the shower the towel had a hole in it oh my not like a first class hotel although I felt our fee was very high. How does that sound. How about a reduced rate. Very very disappointing. Gail
- Kathryn (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Isobel (8/5): - No sign of the lake! But the property was very clean and the beds were good, which was all we needed as we travelled cross-country.
- Dennis (9/5): - The staff went over and above to make sure our stay was perfect.
- Edwin (10/5): - Very nice and attentive owners. Friendly patrons
- cherie (8/5): - Campfire outside
- Elizabeth (7/5): -
- Rebecca (7/5): Comfortable and convenient, would return! - Room was comfortable, staff were welcoming and friendly. Check-in was super simple. The room had a few minor cosmetic issues e.g damaged paint on the ceiling or stained table cloth.
- Ben (8/5): - Good value for money.
- Anne (10/5): - Welcoming, very friendly, considerate, efficient, followed up with special requests
- RICHARD (5/5): -
- Smyth (7/5): The owner was attentive when on site, and helpful. We would stay there again. - This is NOT a B&B. However the owner recommended local restaurants for dinner after our arrival and also for breakfast. The temperature in the room was quite cool upon arrival, but after we adjusted the thermostat, it was comfortable. We were aware of two people arguing in an adjoining room and were tempted to reach out to the off site owner. But this settled.
- Kandace (7/5): All in all very happy with the room. - The room was very cute. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was upgraded and very nice. Nice location. The shower leaked water on the floor. I slipped on the floor a little. TV didn't have a lot of channels, but was able to find something to watch.

- Iwona (7/5): -
- Kyria (9/5): - The location was very close to the beach. Since I am traveling by bike I wish there were more options for food and groceries within walking distance.
- Richard (6/5): - It was good.
- Tim (8/5): - Close to the water and downtown area. Great price.
- Cathyann (8/5): Annual Family Thanksgiving in Point Clark - Visiting family in Point Clark, location was great.
Bed was comfortable, amenities were adequate.
Price point was excellent. The curtains were not room darkening, the porch lights were on all night and kept me awake.
- Thomas (8/5): - Clean comfy and quiet. Very pleased
- Lisa (10/5): Great spot - Location and management were great! Was a little pricey for 1 night
- Ankur (10/5): - It’s a basic room but clean with everything you need (tv, microwave, fridge). Great location and Syed was super helpful and friendly!
- Nicole (10/5): - My husband and I were so pleased with our stay here. The rooms have recently been renovated and are very clean and comfortable. The staff member who checked us in was very friendly and kind, and the whole process was simple. We had no complaints at all, and will absolutely be staying here again.
- John (6/5): - .
- Rob (10/5): - I had been there over 20 years ago and wanted to try it again, was pleasantly surprised in how updated and clean it was
- henderson (10/5): -
- Edgar (8/5): - A small but very comfortable and clean hotel also, very easy to make a reservation. Very good return for your money. The swimming pool needed some attention.
- Louise (8/5): - This property is older, but the furniture has been updated, and the rooms look modern. Staff very accommodating. I stayed her because of the affordable rates and great location, and I will return.
- Vadim (3/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): - Great location - easy to walk into town. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Although we didn't use the pool or barbecue area they looked well kept.
- Sandra (4/5): If staff had not moved us into a tolerable room, we would have left. - No breakfast. Not in a very great art of town. Staff did accommodate us. Shown a horrible room that did not in any way resemble the photos. Pool very dirty. Property generally unkept.
