- Natalia (10/5): Bona experiencia - Excellent atencio Pocs serveis. El SPA tancat.
- Monika (10/5): - Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal.
- Egor (7/5): - Rooms are well equipped and there is parking on site. The hotel is adjuncted to the other property with few dogs. They keep on barking non stop. We changed the room to the main building, where you still hear them but to the lesser extent.

- Francisco (10/5): -
- Ronald (8/5): A garden as a fairytale; romantic, creative and full special trees. - Beautiful place, very romantic with a nice swimming pool with waterfalls and undeep parts to lay down during the very hot days. The rooms were really perfect, the garden was a fairytale with the special trees and plants. The stay was really a nice experience. We came here for the second time. It won’t disappoint you. The meals were slightly disappointing. It was covered up with a lot of amuses but the meal itself were overpromised and under- delivered. All the opschmuck masks that the quality of the food was expensive but not really good.
- MONTSERRAT (10/5): -
- Tim (10/5): Michelin star restaurant at a reasonable price with quality accommodation. - A gastronomic destination with breakfast being as good quality as the evening meal
- Jacobus (5/5): Aims high and doesn’t dreluver. Wouldn’t stay there again days restaurant are closed, Tortosa better option - Nice , very large room, private.Nice breakfast, beautiful grounds Strange mix of good and bad. Restaurant closed on Monday and Tuesday, food in town elsewhere those nights is limited and lousy. Shower drain was blocked so room flooded. Bathtub leaked so room floor wet again.Stupid to have you take your luggage from car park to reception for check in to only then walk back from Reception again to where the rooms are with your luggage. N
- Cosmin (9/5): Great location with a Michelin star restaurant - Vibe Poor quality of in-room stuff (didn’t feel 5 stars)
- Barnaby (8/5): We had a very relaxing 48 hours here, mainly thanks to making the most of the pool and excellent weather. Close to mount - Lovely historical building in beautiful grounds. Great pool although could do with a clean (and the part with massage spouts apparently not functioning). Very close to nature and the mountains. Clean, spacious room Although staff were pleasant enough overall, when you’ve stayed at five-star hotels in other countries around the world, the reluctant/no can do attitude of staff here and at hotels in Catalonia/Spain in general is always a little surprising. After being told “that’s not possible” when I told reception we’d like to have dinner in the restaurant but weren’t sure exactly what time, I was told “ok it’s booked” only to find there was no booking when we arrived at the restaurant in the evening and so got the worst table. Not very satisfactory. Very quiet village (except for the nonstop barking dogs, also near the hotel)… and no other restaurant options, so you either have to eat at the (very nice) Michelin restaurant at the hotel or drive to Tortosa to eat out. Breakfast was fine, not sure it’s five star quality though.
- Valeriya (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent conditions of room, garden and pool. The restaurant is amazing!!!
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Anna from the pool is great, she will get "life" done😀 honestly every member of staff is great. The choclat souffle is magic in the restaurant, the location is great for exploring the region and the surroundings here are magical. We will come back for sure! Everything is fantastic
- George (9/5): Superb -
- Francisca (8/5): - Un lugar para pasar unas tranquilas vacaciones.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Virginia (10/5): Really friendly staff, incredible setting, top notch Michelin star restaurant. -
- Marcel (5/5): Overpriced for what you get ... not 5 stars ... - Friendly staff and beautiful garden / park in which the hotel is located. Toiletries by RITUALS. Breakfast was very basic for a 5 star hotel, not adequate! Dust on sideboards in breakfast room. Hot milk was served on the buffet out of a hot water boiler (very weird for a 5 star hotel!) which had a totally dirty filter - disgusting. Chamomile tea was ordered through room service and arrived lukewarm in the room ... not a 5 star experience. The room, called a Queen Room, was very basic for a 5 star Queen Room (furniture, decoration, etc.) ... In total we paid 299 EUR which is definitely too much for the experience we got. Will not return to this hotel.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gordon (5/5): Very cold - Large rooms and good breakfast Heating was dysfunctional and the room was very cold, despite front desk assistance to get some heat. The bath tub in the room needed resealing and showed the area to be dirty. Cobwebs in the corner of the room (2) indicates cleaning to be sub standard. Inter room noise was above average. Oh did I mention there was no hotel evening meals on offer, so had to drive 12km for a pizza….
- Moshe (8/5): Nice but not more - Excellent staff This is absolutely not a five star hotel. No elevator for instance. The room is being cleaned just once a day . Breakfast is just ok not brilliant . Vey average. The room price is double than other hotels with style around without justification.
- Alexandra (8/5): Would be back, but more likely in high season, as I suspect more service will be on offer. - Beautiful gardens, lovely location, stunning historical central building and contemporary garden suites…a really individual experience - a little like an Originals Hotel Chateau in France - not a 5 star hotel in the usual sense, but something rather different. No milk for coffee in rooms, ran out of croissants at breakfast when only 4 rooms booked, dreadful hairdryer, no bar or signposting to service during day when at pool out of season. Had a real issue on day 1 with lunch. Asked for a snack - sandwich etc…ended up in restaurant with maitre d’ expecting us to have full several course meal. Had to be quite blunt to sort! Very little English spoken.
- Dorte (10/5): - Fantastisk sted
- Ronald (6/5): a bit a noisy hotel quit near to saint Tropez - The hotel was near St Tropez so we didn't expect that it should be cheap. The staff was friendly and the hotel near to St Tropez (between St Tropez and St Maxime) The swimming pool was very nice. The pool beds were comfortable with pillows and the swimmingpool was big and good temperature. The breakfast was good, only the coffee was much too strong but the buffet was very large, choise enough. Next to the hotel we could find a beach with sand. The rooms were stuffy and humid. We had the impressions that it were former lofts wich were rebuilt to hotel rooms. Because it was so stuffy we opened the windows in the middle of the night but there was so much traffic around that it was too noisy.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Burgues (9/5): Superb -
- John (5/5): Passable -
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): - Hotel Villa Retiro has two types of rooms: One type is classic, and the other is modern minimalist. Both are nice, and both are large and comfortable.
- Thomas (10/5): - Absolutely a lucky find while browsing Orbitz. Old Spanish charm and new, spacious rooms with plenty of amenities. I have paid much more in other hotels for a lot less. Don't miss Hotel Villa Retiro (and don't miss the restaurant while you are here).
- Michael (10/5): Great service, spacious room with character - We arrived in the early evening and were greeted by the front desk and shown to our room. She then mentioned that the restaurant was closed but she could offer cheese, a salad, and wine. It was perfect. A groaning board breakfast was served to us once again even though the restaurant was officially closed for the day. Room was spacious with a balcony looking out on the property
- Nathalie (6/5): Everything great, except sleeping was the issue. - The experience was good, service was great, swimming pool was nice, the food was amazing (must eat at the restaurant for dinner). However, sleeping was an issue, the bed was so noisy that sitting on it, it creaked, they definitely needed a new bed or at least fix the frame. The next day we informed the staff of the condition of the bed and they told us this was a first complaint, hopefully they have that bed fixed for the next guests.
- Trevor (10/5): Culinary delight - A lovely romantic stay in a unique hotel with an accompanying extraordinary meal at the restaurant
- Linda (10/5): - Had lovely room never slept so good in a hotel, this hotel is a little gem, would definitely stay here again staff were lovely such nice people.a credit to the hotel.
- Rob (10/5): Our most delightful stop! - Exceeded our expectations! A gem in the rough. Worth the detour! Amazing in every aspect! It’s a 10! Loved it!
- TE (10/5): - We had a very pleasant stay. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff could not have been more accommodating.
- Sinbad (8/5): Retreat in beautiful spot off the main highway. - Amazing villa in beautiful garden with lovely pool and spa area amid large palm trees, fountains and orange groves. Room was lovely, bed a bit tired but nice touches in bathroom like big tub.
Attached to a Michelin rated restaurant and a large meeting center so if you want to eat there its great. Food over the top elaborate and Expensive. No other restaurant or cafe nearby so bring food with you if not.
- Richard (8/5): A Spanish retreat - A beautiful hotel with great facilities( when open), very quiet(we seemed to be the only guests). The staff were friendly and helpful. Difficult to understand why it was not busier as it was good value for money. Set in a lovely quiet Spanish village only 15kms from Tortosa.
