Guest Reviews
- Mireille (7/5): Bel emplacement et reposant. - Service et le personnel au restaurant. Booking confusion aux inclusions.
- Anthony (9/5): Formidable! - The breakfast was exceptional, and there was plenty to choose from. I believe the croissant and pan chocolate were made in-house.
- Dominique (9/5): - Tres bien tranquille paisible
Tres propre Nothing
- Suzanne (8/5): -

- Deborah (9/5): Hitting all the right notes for a luxurious short stay in the country! - It’s our third visit - and we always have a good time. The excellent food, the spacious, comfortable quarters, the pool and spa - all serve to give us a very special couple of days in the townships. & the staff are also a big part of making us feel so spoiled - they are extremely kind and hospitable. This time Julie at the desk even produced some snowshoes for us to tromp around their trail before we went back to the city - just perfect! Access to the pool before breakfast isn’t always guaranteed - if it could open as of 8am, that would be nice.
- Carleen (10/5): -
- Nicole (8/5): - Très beau sentier de marche
- David (10/5): - Excellent place with great amenities. Nice size room with a very comfy, clean and big bed. Nice pool and much better than average exercise room. Nice sauna and indoor pool too. Has the added bonus of watching grazing cows from the outdoor hot tub. I wish I had more than 1 day to enjoy it.
- Amy (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. Nice site, great room. - Beautiful views. Restaurant. Nothing near by. Had to travel 15 kilometers for any life. Would have been nice if we could have purchased beverages or snacks for the pool area since the hotel is so isolated.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful, tranquil location. Clean and updated rooms. Comfortable beds.
- Patrick (8/5): -
- Monica (10/5): - Great location to ski hill and quality amenities
- Sydney (8/5): Gorgeous location - A beautiful location in the Eastern Townships not far from skiing, shopping and restaurants. A car is a must. The Auberge has decent spa facilities and a lovely staff. The rooms are generous and quiet and have kitchenettes but no stove. A wonderful breakfast starts the day. A highlight was using the hot tub in sub zero temperatures. Although the rooms are large and comfortable the beds are small. For an adult couple the beds should be king size but are a small queen. The bathrooms too are very small.
- Geneviève (10/5): - Très propre
- Manon (10/5): Peace & Quiet - Just amazing like always
- Fabrice (6/5): - Excellent staff.
Handle of the window broken, impossible to close it back. Had to manage a couple of minutes to finally get it back.
Apartment very clean but bathroom needs to be refreshed and modernized.
Excellent breakfast and very kind people
- Stephane (8/5): - Très bien
- Alexandre (10/5): - Great place to stay. Friendly staff 😁
- Partnar Animal Health Inc (10/5): The best place! - Always the finest place to go in this area.
Confort , restaurant , smiles !!!
- Veronique (8/5): - Le resto est incroyable, bravo
Faire attention à la propreté du spa.
- Diane (10/5): - Acceuil très cordiale. Propreté des lieux. Environnement paisible. Nous recommandons sans hésitation.
- Eric (10/5): - Tres belle endroit
- Richard (10/5): - Spa treatment was excellent and dining was amazing
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent staff and food - Reception and Restaurant staff were excellent. The servers were very knowledgeable and made sure they satisfied our need for gluten free breakfasts and supper. Food was well presented and delicious.
Accomodations were very clean and comfortable. Kitchen, e.g. electric stove, could use some updating, but everything worked perfectly well. We enjoyed the large veranda and quiet setting. I enjoyed the gym, pool and sauna.

- Sarah (10/5): - Room had everything we needed. Even 2 place settings. Bed was very comfortable!! Front desk staff super friendly and the amenities were amazing!!!
- dominique (10/5): - Amazing views
- Joan Ord (8/5): - We thought the property was in a nice quiet setting. It is also close to everything.
- Kathleen (10/5): - Lovely location and beautiful hotel. Staff outstanding. Bistro meal was superb!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice stay, would recommend
- Lee H. (8/5): Very comfortable - This is a lovely property, very comfortable, spacious, with great amenities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - La vue des collines
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The auberge is located on a beautiful property and we enjoyed our stay. Having a kitchenette was also great. However, the satellite TV did not work and the WIFI was quite slow. I suggest they upgrade these services to ensure an even better stay.
- Gabriel (6/5): Average Hotel Shouldnt be Star rated - Average Auberge in a magnificent surrounding.
Average comfort, Average cleanness. A 2.5 to 3 Stars Hotel
- Benoit (8/5): - Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back soon!
- Sandrine (6/5): Overall good stay - We had an overall good stay. The room was really clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was renovated but the kitchenette was pretty old. There was a lot of noise from the occupants upstairs late at night. I would say that the rooms are not very well soundproofed. Also the kitchenette was not very well equipped. No pots and pans. So impossible to make any food in the room other than reheating. There was coffee but no tea. Also, I was charged two times for the room since the receptionist did not check if I already paid for the room at first. She paid me back right away, but Ill have to wait 5-7 days for the refund. There was also an establishment tax that was not indicated in the total or description of the hotel when I booked. Make sure to call the hotel to get an accurate amount of the reservation. Other than that, the surroundings was beautiful. You can take long walks around the hotel to see the landscape and cows.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Delightful location with walking trails. Bistro restaurant is a 'not to miss' experience. Suite was spacious and enjoyed the private outdoor space.
- Susan (8/5): - Well appointed room.
Dinner was outstanding. Looking forward to breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Has an indoor pool, sauna and hot tub. Easily accessible.
- Zachary (10/5): - Quiet, clean and comfy. Sandra at the front desk was more than accommodating and really made our stay special.
- Kim (8/5): - We loved that the Auberge is pet friendly and has a very nice walking trail right on the property. The indoor pool (I found it a bit chilly but hubby was comfortable), the hot tub, and the sauna were nice ways to relax at the end of a day outdoors. We loved having a kitchenette in our room so we didn't have to eat out for all our meals. The front desk receptionist there on Friday and Saturday evenings was not very helpful or pleasant, but other than that we very much enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The swimming pool closes at 9pm, which is disappointing. We were planning to chill in the pool and hot tub after skiing and were not able to.
I wish there was a vending machine on the premises: when we arrive from skiing, we were very thirsty and wanted to buy a bottle of water but the reception was closed and we had to drive 10 km to the nearest convenience store.
Also, the restaurant does not have a menu for kids. The food is very good for an adult but too sophisticated for a child.
- Karen (10/5): Relaxation haven. - Everyone was very friendly and every need was dealt with. This was a relaxation visit for me, and I felt quite pampered every step of the way. I had both a lunch and a dinner at the Bistro there, and the selection, and quality was amazing!
- Robert (10/5): Amazing value. Just as good as any five star hotel - This hotel was fantastic. I’d definitely stay here again!
- Evelyn (6/5): - The actual room with a fireplace did not really look like the pictures on expedia. Everything was a bit worn. Not worth the price that was charged.
- CBF (8/5): - We liked the location -- it was beautiful. The breakfast at the restaurant was also very good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A beautiful spot to spend the night. Restaurant was a little pricey but food was very good
- Verified traveler (4/5): - If I was paying $60 a night I would think it is a decent place to stay. The pool was ice cold. The hot tub was not the cleanest. Plus there were hydro lines directly over it and a transformer super close to it too. I am sure that is a violation right there; never seen power lines over a hot tub ever.
When I went to put a few items in the fridge; I found a bottle of wine half full. Was not ours, staff must not have checked the fridge when cleaning up from previous guests. I called on evening for towels, was asked to walk over to the main building to pick them up. What?? I asked you want me to walk over and get my own towels? Then she said well I can bring them to you after 9pm. I said yes that is fine. But one bath towel came and there is two of us. I must admit it was a very disappointing stay.
- Sabrina (10/5): - I had the most relaxing and peaceful time during my week stay. It was just what I needed after the school year. I’m now back home feeling rejuvenated and happy to be with my kids again :)
- Janie (6/5): Not much charm. - Bathrooms are tiny and spartan. No shelves, hooks or counter space. Every thing painted battleship grey. Bistro strongly great for dinner, otherwise not worthwhile.
- Roger (6/5): Many weddings on the weekends in summer - The Auberge caters to a lot of weddings during the summer months (on weekends) While pleasant to watch the ceremonies it also means music and laughter well into the evening. we booked a suite which was very comfortable and quite spacious.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beatiful location, rooms and amenities. The restaurant is a must.
- Vickie (10/5): Couples retreat! - We were celebrating our 30th Anniversary and this was the perfect place! Large room w/ fireplace, comfy couch, small kitchen and large balcony. Wonderful restaurant.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is quiet and the staff are lovely, they could improve the swimming pool and hot tub area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was friendly.Did not get king size bed as reserved however still enjoyed my stay.Location was great and surrounding scenery was very nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is amazing and the rooms are fantastic ! The outdoor hot tub is really relaxing and the restaurant at the auberge is delicious and the staff there are truly amazing ! The ski hills aren’t too far either and there are many more activities one can do !
- Verified traveler (8/5): - There is a short and pleasant walk from the two houses with all the rooms to the restaurant. In winter it can be a bit icy.
I am missing this winter the electrical plugs for the car block heaters.
Instead there are now several charging stations for electric cars installed.
The food is good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Awesome stay! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Location and amenities are absolutely worth it.
- LK (8/5): - The Auberge is very charming and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is exceptional. My only negative would be that the rooms are somewhat dated. However, they were very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay there again.
- Florence (8/5): - Nice accommodation with wonderful dining room. Terrific staff. The bathroom in our room needed updating.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great spot. Wish we were able to stay more than one night.
Nice touch to have cream in the fridge for the excellent coffee (Kerrigan).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful location. Lovely large room with full kitchen and working fireplace
- Ralph (10/5): - The restaurant is a stand out - excellent food, interesting menu and superb service. We would particularly commend the sommelier who directed us to the finest Easter Townships vineyard, Le Vignoble du Ruisseau near Dunham. The front desk was excellent. The room was very good if not at the top of the range for a four star auberge.
- Liliana (8/5): - We liked the jacuzzi & sauna. The property has lovely flower arrangements. Too bad we did not stay long enough to enjoy the rest.
- Haley (10/5): - this is a beautiful place, the outdoor trails are well maintained, the salt water indoor heated pool and sauna were really nice
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lorvely property, fantastic staff, excellent choice
- Robert (8/5): - Breakfast isn't until 8am. I am up and out by that time. That is my only complaint.
- Debra (10/5): Lovely country inn - This was a lovely hotel. Very peaceful surroundings. We did not use the spa, but it offers a broad range of services. I would recommend this inn for anyone wanting a quiet stay in the country.
- Margo (8/5): - The Auberge is a lovely picturesque resort. The amenities are exceptional as well as the staff. I highly recommend this spot.
- Nicole (8/5): Bucolic Ambiance - The inn is very well run. Great restaurant. Good service and delicious food, with friendly waiters. Must try their " Molten Haiti 65% Chocolate Cake". In general, I don't even like chocolate dessert, but this dessert will knock your socks off.
The room was comfortable enough. The view from the room was very nice. Some rooms had balconies, but ours did not. Perhaps the rooms with a balcony are more expensive, but it would probably be worth it; since there is not much to do in the evening, in the area. During the day, you can go by the lake, or take a stroll in the nearby towns. Very pleasant !
- Verified traveler (10/5): West Brome gem - We enjoy our yearly escape to the Auberge. The site is beautiful. The cuisine is extraordinaire !
- Carole (10/5): Wow - Very perfect experience.
- Heather (8/5): - The hotel was fine, though I wish the property were smoke free rather than just the rooms. .We enjoyed our stay, but the interior feels like it could use some updates. The restaurant was amazing! We loved the views and how close it was to everything we wanted.
- Glen (6/5): No hydro - The hydro went out at 2am and they did not have a back up generator connected to our unit. I understand that this is a rural facility but when the Auberge charges city rates, as they do, it is expected to have city services such as automatic backup power. Showering in the dark and the lack of a morning coffee were the biggest inconveniences so all in all not a bad experience.
- frederic (8/5): Great place to stay - Great place to stay ! We had a suite with a nice fireplace. Clean, quiet and perfect for our stay. Spa is within the hotel so it's very practical.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place and the food at the restaurant was great!
- Ben (10/5): Love it! - It's like coming home... very nice staff. Clean rooms...
The elliptical machine need a bit of care... perhaps a bit of lubrication will take that very annoying squeaking away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Decent in-room coffee machine, hot tub, clean, nice staff, lovely area, gorgeous wood furniture and modern deco, great parking, eco toiletries. Great stay!
- David (10/5): Excellent hotel with First Class restaurant - Spent 3 nights relaxing and hiking on nearby Mt. Sutton. Aye twice in the hotel resto. Fantastic food. The staff in the resto and hotel are really great! Enjoyed the spa including pool and outdoor jacuzzi in the snow. Very relaxing time.
- Allen (10/5): Serene - Nice out of the way location, no hustle and bustle of the big city because it's out in the country....farm land. Calm, relaxing and friendly.
- Veronica (8/5): A good stay in spite of area wide power outage - We had a very nice two night stay and the Auberge managed to give good service even though we had no electricity due to a storm which knocked out power over a wide area. They moved us to a room that had electricity thanks to their generator. The breakfast was good and the surrounding countryside very beautiful. We would definitely return for another stay. One reccomendation we have is to have battery operated emergency lights in the stairwell as it was very dark and a bit dangerous managing the stairs during the power outage.
- Denise (8/5): Very good location - Centrally located for the area, excellent staff. Great amenities. Would recommend. Would like to have some areas to sit and read or reflect outside. Table as well as chairs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very calm.. - On a Thursday and Friday. Excellent food. Not cheap.
- Darla (10/5): Lovely hotel in the Eastern Townships - When we arrived at Auberge West Brome, we were pleased that it looked exactly as expected. It is set in the countryside of the Eastern Townships on a property that has walking trails with beautiful views of the surrounding area. Our room had a seating area with a fireplace and a kitchen area with a Keurig, which we were happy to use for an after dinner coffee. We stayed for two days and decided to choose the meal package for one of them, which turned out to be an excellent choice. Dinner was fabulous, from beginning to end. It started with an amuse bouche, followed by an appetizer, entree and dessert. Portions were generous and the food was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Breakfast the next morning was also delicious and we felt the meal package was great value. The Auberge is well located - the charming towns of Knowlton and Sutton are nearby. We also visited Saint Benedict Abbey and although English tours (only on Thursdays) weren't available that day, the gift shop was definitely worth a visit. The monks make several varieties of cheese, many that are award winning, as well as ciders and condiments. The nearby town of Magog has many great restaurants and shops and is also a great place to visit. We would definitely return to Auberge West Brome!
- YB (8/5): Nice hotel, friendly staff, GREAT dining - This is a country hotel, so not very fancy but everything is there. Except, the bathrooms are tiny and not practical. Everything else is fine and very clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wow! I would recommend this hotel with no hesitation! Everything was great. The back view was breathtaking! The bed was so comfy, It had Been a While since i slept so Well in a hotel bed! Great hotel!
- Jean (6/5): Overated - We were expecting more of a 4 star hôtel (auberge). Stained carpets, had to wait for the room, decor out of time and expensive. But, at the Bistro, staff and food was good, but still expensive; 200$ for two with the less expensive wine bottle and a 50$ breakfast, buffet style, for two. It's the last time they saw us there!
- Sharon (8/5): - Lovely country setting and great accommodations. Hotel staff was great and dinner in the bistro was fantastic.
