- Verified traveler (6/5): Ermmm !! - Very well situated, near to Victoria station, theaters and restaurants. Had two rooms, single room was on the ground floor and although small was clean and warm. The twin room, I had asked for a lower floor, because of mobility problems, and was told our room was in the basement which has a really steep staircase with a very sharp bend at the top near the door, I advised the receptionist that I would not be able to use those stairs and was given a room on the first floor as all of the ground floor rooms were "doubles or singles"!! Our room was small with the twin bed heads being in the window with the radiator being our headboard ( radiator very hot until 2am then back on again at 6am making it very uncomfortable to sleep ), had to open the window to cool the room down. Asked for extra pillows the first night to be told "housekeeping would sort it in the morning" no pillows left in the back !!

Heating was on till 2am then on again at 6 am making it very uncomfortable to sleep ( our heads very near to a source of heat) having to open the window to cool the room down

No trouble taking a shower, but agree with another reviewer, tiny room not recommended for people over 6 ft. Tall. Very convenient, safe neighborhood, budget friendly. Enjoyed the stay here and will return :)
- catherine (8/5): - I booked one of the tiny rooms and it was just what I needed. A comfy bed, storage for my clothes, television, wifi and en suite. I stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed my tiny bedroom. I would stay there again in a heartbeat as its close to the london eye and all attractions, Also, another plus is that they have a drinks machine in the dining room free of charge for as many varied hots drinks as your heart desired.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overnight stay in London - I selected this hotel because of the price of the rooms and the location to Victoria Station for a single night stay. This hotel ticked those boxes really well. I had the luxury of the Tiny Room, being 6'3" if found it novel and fun. However for a longer stay, the novelty would have won off really quickly. That said, the staff, location and the beds were great and I have already recommended this hotel to my friends, and intend to use it again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I booked the tiny room, which was exactly what I expected and what I got. I didn’t really need more than that for my few days in London. The room was clean and the bathroom was newish so no complaints there. The location is what’s great about this place. It’s 5-6 min walk from Victoria station and a lot of attractions are within walking distance (15-20 min). Also lots of cafés and restaurants for meals near by. I’m happy with my stay and would go back to the same hotel, although there are a few things that would have made it better. 1. The wifi was good in the lobby but spotty in my room, probably due to the odd configuration of the house with it’s twists and turns. I chose a different network on the 2nd day and it was a bit better (there are 5 available network). 2. The water temperature for showering was great but the stream / pressure could have been larger .... not easy to wash a mane of hair without a good water flow. 3. I would have appreciated at least a hand towel for the bathroom instead of just a bath towel and floor mat. 4. The mattress is not very comfortable, with a bit of a dip in the middle, but I slept reversed the last 3 days with my head where my feet should be and it did feel nicer.
- Dave (4/5): Not overly impressed! - Pubic hair on shower head, duvet had black marks, there was a dripping noise coming from the toilet all night which meant a bad night sleep- when mentioned to the male clerk on the way out he said that he knew about it and it was only when it rains, no apology! The female receptionist who checked us in was very polite and helpful though!

- Verified traveler (2/5): - when we reserved we indicated we needed a ground floor room due to both of us being disabled. when we checked in Ewa at the front desk said they didnt have twin rooms on the ground floor and we were down a level. It was just a few steps down. HAH!!! 10+ EXTREMELY steep steps a sharp turn and a large drop down to the first step. We along with three other guests left next day due to the conditions of the hotel and staff atitude. they refused to help us in any way and tried to claim we never told them of our disabilities Ewa's comments prove them to be uncaring liars.
- Curt (8/5): - Look, overall, the place is a decent budget hotel...and I *must* emphasize the 'budget' part. Firstly, the bathrooms are tiny. Super tiny. Microscopically tiny. Did I mention that the bathrooms are tiny? Because they are. The rooms are small, but if one is simply using it as a place to crash after a long day, then that's not a problem. One thing to note, though, is that there is no air conditioning. That's not a problem if one is visiting in the cooler months, but something to definitely consider if the temps will be over 70F (21C).
- Albert (2/5): Poor experience at Belgrade HOSTEL ! - We prepaid and they gave us a basement room without lift nor a proper staircase. We need to drag our luggages down a 2 feet wider stair down without any help. The room can hardly be called a hotel room. It is a hostel type small room with open shower. Not recommended.
- Brenda (8/5): - Location, location, location. This hotel is not the fanciest place in the world. In fact, the rooms are pretty tiny, and the "bathrooms" are even tinier. BUT, the room was clean, nonetheless. And it was SOO close to the train station that you have to take from the airport. Overall, very pleased with this spot. Would definitely stay there again.
- Greg (10/5): A room for the price of a stay in a hostel - Straight forward honest, basic rooms within easy walking distance of Victoria Coach Station, Victoria Rail Station and Victoria Tube Station. Rooms are as advertised. Staff are helpful. Good value for money reflecting the outward condition of the building, by no means luxurious. A brilliant base for a short stay. A real alternative to hostel accommodation which is advertised in this area at a similar price. A true find. Cannot recommend it highly enough. I will be back.

- Tina (8/5): - The location is excellent, close to Victoria Station, and the neighborhood felt safe even late at night. For the price this was a great deal, that being said the room is badly in need of new carpet and is pretty bare bones. The sheets were clean and the bathroom was clean. They require a deposit of 5£ for the TV, which is very small, and also for the hairdryer. This is an old building so the noise could be bad if you have loud neighbors. The staff was friendly and helpful. For this location this is a good deal for a very bare but clean room.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location and what you’d expect from a 2.5 * - Firstly the location is excellent-so close to Victoria station and many places to eat. Was greeted and checked in by a lovely lady who was very welcoming. The room is small but has all you need. I was on the top floor and the room was very hot with no fan or air conditioning. I was pleasantly surprised that it had not only tea & coffee station but a microwave, stove, fridge and utensils! Unfortunately the shower didn’t seem to have hot water (only warm) which was fine but in winter wouldn’t be great. The room seemed to block out noise very well and was Quite peaceful (except for the thin curtains-bring an eye mask) I was woken in the middle of the night one night to find a mouse in my room which was unsettling but only occurred that once.

The rooms were very small but I was not there to spend time sitting in my room so they worked for me. The major drawback, especially considering the heat wave that was going on while I was there, NO air conditioning.

I've stayed in more expensive hotels that frankly could learn a thing or two from this place. Only minor criticisms are the lack of air conditioning (it was very hot when I stayed there) and the wifi wasn't very good.

- Mark (8/5): Cheap and cheerful - We wanted a cheap reasonable hotel in London and that's what we got! We were on the fifth floor so with no lifts so heavy bags would've been difficult. There is no air conditioning so the fan available from reception was a god send. The miniature bathroom had a bit of a bad drain whiff, but the bed was comfortable and we slept well. There is also a nice pub on the next street corner.

Worst part was hearing the mice in the room at night running around, chewing, and squeaking! Kept me up half the night. - Doc (6/5): Good value, though things could be better - Location can’t be beat, but a couple of minor things could be improved. Blackout curtains are a must, considering there is no A/C. The room feels like an oven as early as eight a.m. Sound proofing the rooms from outside traffic should be a priority as the noise levels can and do get in the way of one’s comfort. The night shift front desk staff MUST be cognizant of the fact that voices carry over to the room directly overhead. No need to talk loudly when they are dealing with guests AFTER one in the morning! I understand the need to be friendly and all that but to actually converse like they were one mile apart when they were in fact face to face is just inconsiderate. Worse, they would laugh like it was daytime, as if they were not aware they had paying guests who were trying to sleep after a long day, in a hotel whose rooms are not equipped with soundproofing. Bad enough that one could hear the next door guest’s snoring 😧 Having said all that, it is ideally situated, four minute walk to Victoria station, and one is spoiled for choice in terms of dining options.

No coffee or tea making in our room but available at all times free of charge in the dining room . The bed was not very comfortable but overall our stay was good for the price we paid. We were allocated a room on the basement floor, with patio doors which opened up to a lawned area. These patio doors were very old which had warped with lots of gaps, but as we visited during a heatwave it was fine ...... Our opinion might have been different if it was a winter visit and cold weather.

- Verified traveler (8/5): A two nights' stay - I had booked a "tiny single room" for two nights and that is exactly what I got. Though the room was tiny, I had the usual amenities like tea and a TV at my disposal. My time there may have been slightly marred by the fact that it was in fact hot in the room, as should be expected of a small room near the top of a building during summer. I was at the hotel mostly to sleep, so this wasn't a significant issue. For its price, the place is excellent, although next time I might consider spending a little more money to get a room with more space. Be that as it may, the proximity of the hotel to Victoria Station triumphs over any potential issues.

- Meg (10/5): - The hotel was very close and easy to find from Victoria station. The location was wonderful. It is close to a grocery, pharmacy and convience stores. It's also easy to walk to many tourist hotspots. The features are dated but work perfect for a short stay. We got placed in a larger room than we booked which was a pleasant surprise. The bed was not the most comfortable but it was still heaven compared to a economy plane seat. The bathroom was small but it is private and in your room. They do not have a lift and the stairs are what you would expect in an old European building (steep and narrow). There are a few ground floor rooms if you need them. We were on the first floor facing the street. There is a lot of noise and light pollution as it is London. The wifi works wonderfully and you can leave your luggage with them for free even after you check out. Overall I was very very pleased and will gladly stay here again for a night in London.
- Val (10/5): Great Location - This was a great place to stay for a business trip to London. Local area was fab with loads of amenities. Walking distance to Buckingham palace, the National Gallery and really convenient for the tube and Victoria Theatre. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- Brave60+ (8/5): - Having read all the reviews it was kind of what I expected and its central position was excellent for me. Lovelypubs and restaurants nearby; here for Chelsea flower show and it's an easy walk. I get it's one star but there are tiny things that would make a great difference for guests if they are interested - a bed side light! small but easy and makes a difference if you have to get up for loo in night. I was in room 208 and was VERY worried that it wasnt possible to close my ancient sash window cause of old overpainting, rot and deterioration of sash so I couldnt close and lock it... and right outside, conveniently hidden in an alcove that my window gave on to were a very lovely selection of ladders!!! Come on in everyone who wants to! No-one can sleep soundly with that combination, guys! Refurb for the window! Get rid of the ladders! You just wouldnt do that in your own home! Safety matters, man. Cud be what you want it to be cheap but fair; adequate not luxury but not secure......??

- Robin (8/5): Ok! - Had "a tiny single room". The bed is small, I'm 187cm and would've needed to cut of my feets to fit. Otherwise it was ok.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was ok apart from the bathroom. The bathroom was in a closet and the shower leaked which made the room flood. Very little room in the shower, so showering was not pleasant.

I could constantly hear banging and thumping above me which woke me in the night, and often heard my neighbor’s conversations through the walls.

- Ian (8/5): Short trip to Victoria - The hotel is a good budget hotel and all you need for a short trip. Only one criticism is the curtains are not blackout or dark enough to keep the room dark, especially with the Hotel floodlights illuminating the front of the building.

- Caroline (8/5): Central location, great service and value. - A short walk from Victoria train and coach stations, this budget hotel rates highly as a convenient location to get around London. Easy to find, super helpful staff at check in and comfortable room all added to a great value for money stay. The only minor issue for me was that the curtains were very thin so the light came into the room early in the morning. My room was at the top of the building, so quite a few flights of stairs - which was fine for me but someone with knee problems or lots of luggage could find this an issue. But I think a lot of the small London hotels are like this. I would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel's location is excellent within a stone's throw from Victoria Station. The room was clean - the bathroom very small. I found it odd that you had to pay a £5 deposit for the TV remote control - this was not very user-friendly at all and really put me off. The Wi-Fi was desperately slow. There was no kettle in the room and you had to keep asking reception for a coffee cup - another weird set up!!

- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't stay here - This is rated 1 star, but it shouldn't be that high. The room was tiny, the bathroom even tiny-er. The place is old and creaky, noisy, non air-conditioned, no restaurant or food service, not very clean. With a little persistence, you can find a much better room for the same money.
- jackie (6/5): Great location, room quality is ok - Great location, room quality is ok. Travel from Heathrow using Heathrow express to Paddington and tube to Victoria. Taking bus instead of Tube probably a better choice

The bathroom stank od mildew. They forgot my wake up call . It cost 5 pounds to get to the hotel the night before. When I asked the hotel to call me a taxi, they called u er and it cost me 10 pounds for the exact same trip

Hotel so convenient to Victoria station as well, Staff very nice and helpful. The gentleman on reception broke his wrist and he was still able to check us in and write with his left hand!. Very nice friendly person.I will return to this hotel on my next visit and have already recommended it to our friends,
