Archaeological area
Combi bus no.1 to get there
- JoNATHAN (10/5): -
- Memo (5/5): Factura - El lugar Aún no me dan factura llevo una semana esperando
- Xequeb Panti (10/5): - La libertad Las cortinas
- Araujo cortes (9/5): - El lugar es muy tranquilo
- Suhail (5/5): Passable -
- Yuganshu (1/5): Fraud - It’s a fraud they did not give my money back or any refunds Cause they are fraud
- Sheila (7/5): Good location and grounds, cabanas need maintenance. - Liked large grounds with Mayan ruins and bird/animal life. Also liked bbq and picnic tables. Fridge freezer very useful and good swimming pool Very bright floodlights at night and some shutters missing, letting light in. Also plenty of gaps on timber building but weren’t bothered with mosquitoes.
Loud music and general noise late into the night from some fellow guests
- Bengtsson (8/5): Very good -
- Matt (7/5): Worthwhile for the cost - Location and employees were wonderful Lots of ants in bathroom and noisy till midnight
- Dale (4/5): I’m sore today - Not much One sheet, no towels, old stiff bed.
- Pauline (5/5): Passable -
- Anita (10/5): Enjoyable - Cheap and convenient No hot water, no internet inside the cabanas but they promised that they are working on so I believe next time I visit will be close to perfect
- Anita (10/5): I’ll still go back , I’m only hoping they make this 2 changes - I actually start liking this property more and more because they start improving the landscape and everything else. I keep going back because it’s actually very convenient location, beaches around, the ferry to Isla Mujeres, so much more
I’ll be back there soon I’ll be honest here, and I told them also that they must think about hot water not necessarily in every bungalow , but maybe in share shower area ,and definitely they need to provide WiFi that is working inside the cabins. They can charge $1,2 extra but this two are extremely important for me 🙏Very uncomfortable if I need to do anything and I need internet to go stand near the entrance and do my work, specially at night or early mornings 🙏. I’m missing only hot water and internet there ,everything else is great for the price, very nice place to spend long vacation. Over all I Recommended ❤️
- Anita (5/5): My stay in the bungalow was marred by the absence of hot water and various disruptions, diminishing the overall comfort - It’s close to the beach and restaurants I recently stayed at this property and would like to provide some constructive feedback to enhance the overall guest experience.
Firstly, the absence of hot water was quite discomforting, especially given the current weather conditions. Cold showers proved challenging, and I suggest addressing this issue to ensure a more pleasant stay for guests.
Additionally, the bungalow I occupied had numerous holes, raising concerns about potential wildlife, including snakes. Enhancing the property's structural integrity to prevent such intrusions would greatly contribute to guest safety and peace of mind.
Mosquitoes were a significant nuisance, despite my efforts with repellent. The window situation compounded the issue, and the malfunctioning mosquito protection screen at the door was counterproductive. I recommend addressing these concerns to create a more comfortable environment.
Furthermore, nocturnal disturbances, such as animals walking on the roof and a prolonged car alarm, detracted from the overall tranquility. Timely resolution of such disturbances would significantly improve the quality of the guest experience.
Navigating the property for check-in proved challenging, as I had to ascertain who was in charge. Streamlining the check-in process by clearly marking the office or providing better signage would enhance guest convenience.
Regarding the linens, the black sheets seemed somewhat suspicious, making it challenging to discern their cleanliness. Ensuring visibly clean and well-maintained linens would positively impact the guest's perception of cleanliness and comfort.
Despite these challenges, I appreciate Manuel's dedication in managing various aspects of the property. However, diversifying roles to ensure efficient customer service would contribute to a more traditional and seamless guest experience.
- Franks (5/5): Good place to get away Not fancy not luxurious but what you get for $50 Canadian a night near Cancun - Its away from the city. Has collectivos to and from. Small cany and chips store 3min. Walk just before the store was a trail down to the beach. Privacy 2 pools and Ruins next door
- Michael (3/5): Closed property trying to rent to people - Nothing Before arriving at Eco cabanas we called to see if they had a shuttle service from the airport. No one answered so we emailed & received a response almost immediately that they would provide a shuttle for us. We called three more times to get details for the shuttle. Again no answer. We emailed & got no response. Upon arriving in late at night in Cancun we took a taxi to the hotel & realized how desolate & far out the property was from any stores or amenities. There was a big sign on the property that said they were closed but luckily there was a man standing outside that agreed to take us to a cabin. We knew right away we wouldn’t be able to stay here as we didn’t have a vehicle or extra money to cab everyday. Cab prices in Cancun were absurdly overpriced. There was nothing on-site to cook on & while there was a fridge in the cabin it did not work. The tv didn’t work nor did the wifi as promised in the ad. The bathroom was full of ants. The next morning we called booking to say we would be leaving the property & wanted a refund & they told us they had to speak with the owner of the hotel to approve the refund. Booking has not been able to reach the hotel & gotten no response to the emails they have sent. We are still out the $300 it cost us even though we have proof we left this place for another place. At this point we just want the money back & everyone to know the poor service we have gotten from Eco Cabanas on this!

- Esteban (10/5): it was a nice place and closed to the beach - is very nice and beautiful the place swimming pool and the place is nice and clean
- Dorothee (7/5): It is a nice campground - The two swimming pools were great, regular cleaned and nice sizes. The outdoor area is large with hangmots, seating areas, bbqs and lots of space with trees. Great for children.
Playa de Ninja is about 25 min walk or 7 min drive with a Collectiva.
Super friendly staff, 24 hrs on side. The houses are very rustic- they could do with some renovations. The mattresses are a little uncomfortable.
Unfortunately no kitchen area and restaurants and supermarkets are a 25 min walk away.

- Alicja (1/5): Horrible! - Nothing. I'm sorry, but I have to leave this review because this accommodation is a joke. Generally, the conditions of the accommodation itself are not very bad - we are not demanding. But when checking into the property on the common patio for all the cottages, the party was starting (about 20 mexicans, most likely a birthday). An employee from the reception informed us that the music and party will end at midnight at the latest. We had a flight home the next morning, so we wanted a quiet night. Unfortunately, after midnight the music was still playing at maximum volume and despite many requests to people to turn it down, we couldn't sleep until 5 am. We also asked an employee of the houses whom we met at approx. 1am but he said it was our problem and he wouldn't do anything about it. Additionally, there was a huge hole in the patio window and the walls of the timber cabins were not completely sound proof. When buying accommodation - we want to sleep the night and in this case it was impossible.
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Woods (9/5): Superb - Calm as quiet Hard to get a taxi/uber. But there are street taxis called collectivo which are super cheap and go past the building every few minutes

- Fiona (7/5): Nice rustic place - Nice pool, cosy cabin with AC. Cold shower, bed not v comfortable, only a thin sheet so would’ve been nice to have an extra blanket
- Arnek (1/5): Bad -
- Niels (8/5): Very good - It’s a cool place to stay if you’re up for something basic. A nice location, far from busy street and next to some Mayan ruins. Pool is great for some refreshing. Nice and clean.
- Emilia (8/5): Very good -
- Andrey (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sam (2/5): terrible experience with unsympathetic staff - the property is nice aesthetically but we had a bad experience after a flight delay we arrived after our estimated time. although we were within the online "check in time", the place was deserted. we couldnt check in and had to sleep in the car. the next morning, while searching for reception we were accused of trespassing and when the man found out we were meant to arrive last night threw the door of our cabin open and said we could stay til 12pm check out, no refund. terrible experience with unsympathetic staff
