- John (10/5): It slaps. - Great location, clean comfortable rooms, kind staff and above average breakfast. Would absolutely come back
- Cécile (8/5): Super well located and clean! Need some new insulation - We loved the moment in the hot tube and the location of the hotel, so well located, next to everything ! You hear everything outside, no insulation at all.. e were woke up by our neighbors many times that night …
- Finley (7/5): It was ok - The location Breakfast
- Coffer (8/5): - Great location. Clean & comfy Parking lot small
- Kurt (8/5): -
- Michael (10/5): - Location is right next to the D&SNG station/museum. Staff was really nice, and welcoming. If you get a room on the west side of the building you can see the roundhouse.
- Regina (10/5): - The room.was very clean and comfortable!
- Joy (6/5): Room was convenient and clean , staff could use some help - Great location for walking to train and downtown The tv didn’t work right and despite two requests was never fixed. Staff was not helpful or friendly
- Shauna (10/5): -
- McEaney (9/5): -
- Cynthia (9/5): - Location, pool.. Nothing really..
- James (9/5): Comfortable and restful stay for the night during a cross country motorcycle trip. - Close to everything in the town. N/A
- Jeffrey (9/5): Perfect place to stay when visiting Taos; plaza, Rio Grande bridge hiking trail, Pueblo. - Such a perfect setting fitting in perfectly with the architecture and feeling of Taos. Location was perfect. Staff very helpful.
- Kathryn (8/5): Great location at a reasonable price - We decided to stay at The Durango Lodge as you are right by the downtown. You can easily walk anywhere downtown and is right by the train station. Also, we like to support locally owned businesses vs chain properties. This was a great deal for the location and they provide a decent breakfast. Would recommend it you aren't looking for a place with all the frills and newer. It is an older facility but clean. Friendly and helpful staff also.

- Rick (7/5): Since we were there for one night and basically there to shower and sleep it was adequate. - The location was great since it was walking distance from restaurants and shops. The room was small. The shower was dark. The bath towels were small.
- Victoria Holmes (10/5): - Very good location to main street and you can't beat the price in the area. I stayed in a 3 queen room and it's genius for 6 people. I wish more hotels offered 3 queens in 1 room. The layout was really well planned and we had a balcony. The a/c didn't seem to work at night but did kick on in the early morning. So it was pretty hot but I don't think it was a common occurrence. Staff was very friendly the the breakfast wasn't too bad. We did a grab and go. We felt safe enough in the hotel even though the parking looked slightly sketch not being blocked off from other areas of parking but our car was fine and we didn't see anyone lingering/homeless. We got a great price for the 6 people and the walkability to main street was impressive for the price. Only issue was the a/c wasn't working the entire time.

- Jeff (10/5): Close to the historic train station, kind and helpful staff. - Location is only a very short walk from the Historic Durango/Silverton Train Station. Soooo I forgot my laptop after checking out, before I knew it was missing housekeeping had given it to the front desk and the staff called me. They packaged it very well and mailed it to me and only charged me the postage. Excellent communication! I really appreciated the time and effort they took to handle my mistake. Thanks!

- Virgil (10/5): Great place to stay, i would book it again without a 2nd thought. - Simple, hot options were great, drinks were also good. variety was perfect for my family of 4. everyone found something they liked. we were in town for the train station and this place was only a few steps away. Sink was leaking.. woke up to a wet floor, not good for bare feet. Notified staff during checkout since we only stayed one night, and they will take care of it after we left.

- Jessica (10/5): Loved our stay! - Love the location. Right next to the train station and downtown. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I can't say there was anything I didn't like. It was all great! Will be back!

- Kathy (9/5): I would return to this lodge when going to Durango because of its convenience and decency. - Breakfast was a simple but adequate quick grab or sit. Everyone was very nice in the office area. The location was so convenient to everything I needed. Checking in was simple. I would stay there again. It served my needs well. I wasn't expecting it to be as simple, but it was well kept and the location was great. I had a little trouble finding where to park and where to log in on the late arrival, but I was able to get a late arrival. In the light of day it was all clear and convenient.
- Paula (8/5): Very helpful staff. Great location. - best they could do. no space I had issues with reservation that still arent solved. I dealt with hotel directly, not Booking, to add an additional day to my reservation. Paid the hotel with CC. Because of gov shutdown my tour to Mesa Verde was cancelled. I asked for a refund of that additional night that I paid to the hotel but was told no. The reason--they couldnt rent out my room in such short notice. Well, I booked on short notice.
- Stephanie (10/5): - The breakfast was great! Pets had been in the room. I am very allergic to animals. I broke out in hives and couldn’t sleep at all. The beds were comfortable!
- Lesley (10/5): - A few mins walk to main st! Hotel was exceptionally clean, room was large and comfortable - quick one night stay then is definitely recommend this place!
- Marta (9/5): - Perfect location. Comfortable and clean place. Convenient grab & go breakfast.
- Joanna (7/5): Good location but needs attention - Excellent location to explore Durango and for the train to Silverton. The grab and go breakfast selection was good. The room was comfortable enough but didn’t seem particularly clean, the decor in the room and the bathroom was a bit shabby.Didnt have much interaction with staff beyond check in and checkout but they weren’t over friendly.
- Ann (9/5): Best bargain in Durango! - Best place to stay in Durango!
Convenient, comfortable, quiet
Excellent friendly staff
Easy walk to steam train What’s not to like?
- Cathleen (7/5): Great value - Location and cleanliness Walls are a little thin. Office staff did not seem to enjoy their work.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Highly recommend this property if you are taking train trip to Silverton. 1 minute walk. Great value for in town propert - Location was excellent. Staff was friendly and informative. Breakfast was perfect for a grab and go near the train.

- Keith (4/5): - Position in Durango We were given a room next to what must have been a laundry. We stayed two nights and the first night the washer machines woke us up at 4am in the morning. The next night we heard the washing machines start at 10pm and went on all night. So consequently we had very poor sleep. The room we were in should not be let out .
- Jim (7/5): -
- Calvin (10/5): - Clean, needs updating, located conveniently to train and eats, no elevator to second floor
- Harriett C (10/5): - Room was very nice & comfortable & in excellent location.
- Vicki (4/5): - Location The staff was so unfriendly and could not be bothered
- Shelly (9/5): -
- Matthew (3/5): -
- Sally (10/5): Highly recommend - Friendly staff, quiet, clean room, short walk to train/bus depot, easy walk to main street shops and restaurants nothing negative to say
- Mariska (10/5): - Lokatie rov de trein. Perfect voor een overnachting. Niets
- ELSA (10/5): - Great
- Simon (8/5): -
- Arlo (10/5): - Nice place great location in Durango
Grosse Zimmer, Einrichtung in Ordnung.
- Verl (7/5): The location was terrific and the room wa good. The breakfast was sparce but sufficient. - It was sparce and in such a limited space. We had oatmeal though and it was good.
- David (10/5): Good food in downtown - Great location Handicap on 2 floor
- Alina (7/5): Very nice, convienent location, overall great experience! - Location, very close to everything we needed! Walked to downtown to explore, very convenient. Grab and go breakfast was very easy! Parking was a little sketchy, very packed when we got in had to park around corner. Room faced the Main Street and someone did donuts outside our window at midnight, and then again at 12:30.
- Lisa (10/5): - No elevator and we were on the second floor so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs.
Old, refurbished, but still tired Travelodge, so no room for breakfast area.
Not awful, beds were comfortable, and rooms were acceptable.
- Diana (4/5): Disappointed for the amount of money, it was no better than a motel 6. - Location I reserved a balcony room months in advance and it was changed last minute. We won’t stay again.
- Sharla (10/5): - A bit pricey
- Judy (8/5): Great time in downtown Durango! - The hotel is within walking distance of everywhere in old downtown Durango. Just two blocks from the train station. Great restaurants and souvenir stores are abundant. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There is no elevator so if steps are an issue, request a ground floor room. Breakfast included a very good sausage, egg croissant, but you have to microwave it. There is only one tiny microwave in a tiny stand up only space. Hence, the description says Grab and Go breakfast. Same agravation with the coffee! One small pot of coffee made at a time and it was "church" coffee at best. There is a small refrigerator in the room, but not a microwave. The benefit of free parking at the hotel and being within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go made this hotel very attractive. The train ride to Silverton was amazing! Consider taking the train up and the bus back. The bus driver shared an incredible amount of knowledge regarding the history of region. The train provided unparalleled veiws of the scenery that couldn't be captured via a car or bus ride.
- Marion (8/5): Would stay again. -
- Patrick (7/5): -
- Frank (4/5): We are very dissapointed - We booked a room with a balcony or patio, and we got a semi basement room with no outside or view at all. NOT working: the TV, internet, ice maker and hot watermaker to make tea. Adverticed with breakfast but it was prepacked grab and go. There is one microwave for 100 guestst to heat up the breakfast croissant in the small recepción .
Parking was tide. The room adverticed as sound proof was NOT, we could heard or neighbour blow his nose and every footstep from the upstairs guest. Staff did well and was polite but the hotel did not wanted to compensate so we asked BOOKING.COM for help! See above
