Guest Reviews
- Glenn (8/5): Good on the Budget for a Weary Traveller - Beds were nice and the unit was clean. Very quiet and though the units are joined, you cannot hear people in the unit next to you. I would stay there again. I was not expecting much more than I received. If you are looking for a good place to stay for any length of time and you don't need any frills, then this is the motel for you. They had a good selection of channel choices on the tv as well. The motel is on the edge of town. I like being outside of the town as that gets you away from the roaming derelicts at night and will ensure more quiet at night. The seats in my unit were uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. That was probably the worst part of the stay. I don't have any other negative things to say about the motel.
- Angela (10/5): - Quite, easy Out of twn, but quietness is the best
- Janine (10/5): Perfect place - The location is excusite, overlooking the river and mountain. Absolutely spotless. Well appointed. Perfect! Thst I couldnt stay longer
- Darryl (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean and nice view of river
- Nicolas (6/5): - Really liked the location and convienece

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely, clean and friendly service!
- edwin (8/5): - Out of town so don’t have to go in, easy to find.
- MtnGirl (6/5): Comfortable for an overnight stay - The cooking unit and full size fridge. Property was maintained and is next to the river. It was located outside of town but still close enough to town. Room needed more of a deep cleaning and some repairs from wear and tear.
- Patricia (7/5): - That they had a lovely path to walk in the forest behind the motel. The bed was very hard and not very comfortable at all.
- Lillian (8/5): Fine pup friendly room -
- Gerda (8/5): - The most generous motel we ever stayed at
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice, quiet motel at a good price.
- Roja (10/5): - Amazing Motel, Calm & Peaceful
- Patricia (10/5): Comfy, great views, friendly vibes - Staff/Owners was super friendly & accommodating … location was great. Had a very comfy vibe :)
- Rebecca (8/5): - The property was dated, except the bathroom had a recent update. It was clean and exactly what I was looking for. Would definitely stay again.
- Andy (10/5): - Clean, quiet and a decent bed. Room had recent updates and the shower was hot with great pressure. Fantastic view of the Skeena River just below the window of my room!
- Horodyski (7/5): Good -
- Christopher (4/5): - We booked off of Expedia. The only option available was with a double bed. After taking a look at the pictures we decided we would take the room. The room ended up being the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in. The bed barely fit and was jammed against two walls. It was obviously set up for only one individual, and even that would have been incredibly tight. There was no place to even turn around, nor was there any place to put a bag let alone a suitcase. It was blatant false advertising; showing rooms with kitchens, not the actual unit we stayed in, and was very overpriced for what was supplied. Expedia indicated that there was no charge for pets, which was surprising, however, upon checking in we were charged an additional $10. Definitely would not recommend.
- Nicole (10/5): - Staff was very nice and accommodating. It was nice to take my dog for a beautiful walk along the river right from my room. It was clean and quiet. Had a good sleep. I would stay again.
- Aron (10/5): - Nice, clean and well kept motel. Will definitely stay here again.
- Heather (10/5): - When traveling to the West Coast, we always stop at Copper River Motel if Terrace is a way point. As usual, the front desk fellow was extremely helpful. Not only did he give us a room directly overlooking the Skeena River, but he allowed us to use the motel freezer for our rapidly thawing provisions. The room is immaculate & parking available for our truck and trailer. It's a sweet suite with every amenity imaginable, including a fireplace. Really reasonable rates! 5 stars!
- Archie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mckenzie (10/5): A pleasure - will be a repeat client. - No breakfast.
Location was covenient and quiet.
Very clean with good amenities.
Bed was very comfortable. All good.
- Niki (10/5): - Cute and cozy. Love the river view behind motel.
- Rahul (10/5): Amazing Motel ! - I had a fantastic stay at Copper River Motel! The highlight was definitely the stunning view of the Skeena River right from my room—it made for a peaceful and scenic experience. The room was fully equipped with everything I needed, including a microwave and kitchen, which made my stay even more convenient. Fresh linens, a sparkling clean room, and an immaculate bathroom showed the attention to detail in maintaining the place. On top of that, the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this motel for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-maintained stay in the area!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Property is ok - Property is ok, clean enough, beds, pillows ok, but thinking overall quality has changed. I've been staying here for years for work, but this time was in different room on top floor and no heat. Called front desk and they did bring me another blanket and a plug in electric heater, so made out ok. Not sure I will stay again, not as good as previous owners.
- Cliff (7/5): Comfortable quiet - Na More pillows
- Pierce (8/5): Very good - view over the river
- Elizabeth (8/5): - The room was cold on my feet. Nice view of the river. Have to drive to go out for a meal.
- Charles (6/5): - New bathroom but rest could use updates. However clean and quiet and good location.
- Weston (8/5): - Old not kept up cigarettes butts all over full ash trays sitting out side the rooms smell would go unto the rooms management. Did not mind
- Debbie (8/5): - Excellent for pets.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Anita (8/5): excellent for my dog - NA tea bags
- Mervin (8/5): Very good -
- Rob (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (9/5): Well-situated and very functional accommodation for a holidaying couple - The location in Thornhill just outside Terrace was perfect for us. The motel is located next to the Skeena River which can be viewed from the eating area provided for guests. The beds were excellent, the Wifi was fast enough for us, we watched some US Open tennis on TSN, and as a bonus, our room had a kitchenette with a full fridge, stove, microwave, and utensils and dinnerware including wine glasses. We are used to sleeping with the windows closed so highway noise was not audible at all at night. Best to bring your own soap or body wash because the hand soap bars are very small. No airconditioning but the nights were cool so the room temperature was very pleasant. The ceiling fan was not stable so better not to use that. A pedestal fan was provided but we did not need it.
- Lyle (8/5): Very good -
- Yang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valerie (10/5): Awesome place - Everything was amazing. The owners went above and beyond to accommodate us. The location on Hwy 16 is convenient. We would definitely recommend this place
- Q2868LDvaleries (10/5): Nice place to stay - We were 3 adult women staying for a week to visit the sights around Terrace. They went out of their way to accommodate us. The room was clean and the property was well maintained. They gave us information about bus routes and where to see a sunset. The owner provided a fan for the room when it got hot. The rooms don't have a/c yet
- Jane Margaret (6/5): - Lovely staff. Had booked a rom with living room and kitchen on line— gone when I got there. The room I got was ‘good enough for just me’ as the man said. Great location. It wouldn’t hurt to fix the hole in the wall having done such a nice job on the bathroom
- Nicole (10/5): Great place to stay! - Older but spacious and very clean. Excellent set up for our pre and post fishing trip meet up. Cabin well set up for cooking.
Will be back:-(
- Nykki (10/5): Will definitely stay here again! - Staff was very friendly, room was clean, housekeeping was friendly and kept up with everything to stock up towels and clean garbages.
The kitchen was very nice to have on our stay so we can cook our own food and the bbq came in handy!! A couple extra bbqs would be nice so its not so far away from your room.
The bathroom was newly renovated nicely, shower has lots of pressure.
Beds were comfortable 😊
Situated just as you come into town so nice and quiet!
We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit Terrace!! Can't think of anything??
A few more utensils and a better table to eat at.

- Monica (8/5): Very good -
- April (6/5): Pleasant staff, staff needs to pay attention to detailed cleaning. - I like the access to sit outside my room.
Usually a pretty quiet place.
Staff was friendly I was disappointed when I went to have a bath and found hair in the tub.
There was dust(which is dead skin) on the head board of my bed, on the side table as well.
There was hair in the drawer in the bathroom and also hair in the utensil drawer.
There is flies in the fabrics in the curtains and I pulled them down.
I wasn’t happy I could hear everything the guy above me was doing. I could hear him peeing, and every time he shut his door, It would wake me up.
Not worth the 150.00 per night.
- Martina (9/5): All good - Easy to find
Staff was very helpful (we forgot our ipad)
River view rooms
Very clean
Near to city centre
Kitchenette inside
Comfortable beds Crazy neighbors- very loud music at 5 am.
- Laureen (8/5): Very good - Good location. Great views. Staff very accommodating. There was another guest that decided to blare their music at 515am, waking me up. Staff attempted to deal with the issue, but the guest refused to acknowledge them. It only lasted for about half an hour but was still rather annoying. Thumbs up to staff for attempting to rectify.
- Elizabeth (7/5): Good -
- Mervin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keenan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Henry (8/5): Very good -
- Preston (8/5): NIce modest place for an overnight stop. Thanks Copper River. - Window view of the river was fantastic!
- Tom (5/5): Motel served it's purpose, but there were better unadvertised motels close by, for a decent price. - Motel was rustic, clean, staff was friendly. View of the Skeena is spectacular. Parking is limited and is an issue, outside electrical plugins are scarce to non existent. any existing reno's appeared to be skin deep and the motel structure seemed to be shakey and on it's last legs.
- Dawn (8/5): Lovely view! - The units numbered in the 30s have a wonderful view of the Skeena River - beautiful - and an open window allows you to hear the river, though not loudly! I had an efficiency unit that had all that I needed. Internet was a little slow
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roddy (10/5): Love the location and staff was friendly. looking forward to our next stay. - amazing views and very quiet. rooms are clean and comfortable with a kitchenette.
- Hein (9/5): Superb -
- Murray (8/5): - All good
- Levente (9/5): Superb -
- Adventure700126 (10/5): River side gem! - We travel with PropertyGuys.com and enjoy a great motel when we find one. We stayed in a large upper floor room with a beautiful river view.
Clean room & great amenities, a real coffee pot, fridge, microwave, toaster & tea kettle. Will definitely be on top of the list of go-to motels for our next trip.
There is a great riverside paved & then natural trail along the river. Our dog loved it!
- Siobhan (10/5): Exceptional - It was close to town and easy to get to. The staff were lovely, the view of the river was incredible
- Mervin (8/5): Nice motel - Clean and friendly Nothing
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Frederick (8/5): - It has a beautiful view of the Skeena River.
- Chyanne (4/5): Disappointing - Location is nice. The staff were fast and friendly. Bed was worn out and leaning to one side, the room need a better cleaning there was crumbs on the bed side table a bunch of Q Tips in the bathroom in the draw( like old and spilt definitely not meant to be there). Bathroom floor was dirty my daughter found someone's hair tie as soon as we got in there. Too expensive for the quality of the room

The room beside us left their garbage on the floor outside which wasn't pleasant to drive up to but other than that no real complaints. Beds were comfortable and the property feels safe
