- Laura (7/5): Gutes Hotel für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Reykjavik - Ganz tolles Frühstücksbuffet! Bequemes Bett, Zimmer konnte man ganz gut abdunkeln. Stadtzentrum Reykjavik fußläufig erreichbar und damit auch Restaurants, Geschäfte etc. Zimmer war doch etwas klein, gerade mit 2 Koffern.
- Natasa (10/5): Beautiful - The best location. 5 min walk to the main road. The breakfast was nice and fresh every morning. The place was clean. Very nice hotel. The parking sucks! Nothing they can do but still. You have to find a parking across the street if you find one.
- Baziel (8/5): -
- Cynthia (9/5): Bien - Personnel aimable.

- Tara (10/5): Great location, comfortable stay that includes a fantastic breakfast - The Hotel staff were very friendly upon arrival. The rooms were connected and the beds were very comfortable. Exceptionally clean. The breakfast was amazing with a huge assortment of cold an hot items, and a great way to start the day before exploring. We walked from the Hotel through town to most of sites, great location
- chyndman (10/5): Great place to stay! - Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast area fills up fast between 7-9AM is there is are tour groups booked into the hotel. So if not in a hurry or part of a tour group, I'd wait till 9AM to have breakfast.
- Augustijn (8/5): Prima hotel voor verkennen van Reykjavik - Prima hotel op loopafstand van het oude centrum. Aantal parkeerplaatsen is beperkt ongeveer 9 stuks. Parkeren in de buurt kan P zone 4. Betalen met Parka app.

- ackelleher (10/5): Fabulous Hotel - Very clean and tidy hotel. Excellent and polite staff. Plenty to eat at breakfast with a good choice on offer. Enjoyed our stay there.

- davidesM4825XS (10/5): Magical Sojourn - Great stay at a clean , well located hotel
Friendly knowledgable staff and at every turn the Hotel exceeded our expectations Reykjavík is a superb location for a short break and the sites and wonders of Iceland are something to behold

- Maria (10/5): 3 yön reissu Reykjavikissä - Rauhallinen pieni hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla. Aamupala oli hyvä ja monipuolinen.

- Brtosl (8/5): Nice hotel, but the breakfast was boring - This is a nice hotel, centrally location. The rooms are rather small and a bit sparely equpped, no fridge no small table. But everything was fresh and clean. The breakfast was ok, but boring when you stay as long as a week, and had f ex no scrambled eggs, no bacon, only hard boiled eggs, Chelsea and ham. The staff was friendly.
- alma255 (10/5): Iceland 23.-27.04.2026. - Nice, relatively small hotel, but rooms were spacious, clean and cozy. Everything was more than ok, and I really think it was value for money. Really recomendable.
- boblQ4841YG (10/5): Great Hotel - What an amazing hotel. The staff were incredible. The room was well appointed, the towel warmer was a bonus. The morning breakfast was fantastic. Great selection of fresh food, above and beyond the typical breakfast you find in North America. Location was also fantastic, with Bus Stop 12 door front & within walking distance to the shore, city centre, and numerous must see. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
- profggp (10/5): Comfortable Break - Stayed for a conference next-door and found the room pleasant and comfortable, the daily breakfast varied and delicious, and the personnel helpful across the board. The neighborhood is also super-quiet at night, which is lovely when you are suffering from jet-lag.
- JMB19 (6/5): Storm Hotel. Iceland. - The hotel is immaculate. The rooms are small but adequate. There's plenty of hot water and complementary shower/hair gel. The rooms are warm and cosy. The breakfast is excellent. Breakfast was provided in picnic form as we left the hotel early for our flights. Coffee and croissants were also left out. The hotel is situated near to the main shops/restaurants. There was a mix up with our rooms, but is soon got rectified.
- juliaguillet8 (10/5): Perfect 1 Night Solo Stay - I was only in Reykjavik for one night during a layover returning to the US. This hotel was the perfect, quiet, stay that I needed after a hectic trip. The rooms were very clean and neat. Check in was fast and easy. Staff was incredibly kind. Location is only a 10 minute walk from the main shopping street and 2 minute walk to a spectacular water view and mountains. Included breakfast was also great and there was a variety of food to choose from. I am excited to come back to Iceland, and will definitely be staying here again when I do!
- 970saulf (8/5): Good, well located stay - Very well located hotel, ideal for tours. Overall, good value for money. Service at Reception very good and the snacks were a lovely touch. Breakfast was OK but could have done with a larger hot offering. It also gets very busy. The rooms were OK - Though the bedding wasn’t changed regularly. Overall, a good stay but some small areas for improvement.
- Ghislaine (10/5): Great staff, great breakfast, good location. - The staff was helpful and just all-around great. Breakfast offered a great range every day, with wonderful breads!
- parrgill (8/5): Storm Hote - Good hotel , clean and comfortable. Good location . Excellent breakfast. Room small . Helpful staff. Modern decor.
- 591di (8/5): Good hotel, poor parking - Good hotel, they provided snacks upon check in, and provided an excellent breakfast. The rooms were compact but nice. Americans- remember no washcloths in Europe lol.
- Colin (9/5): Very comfortable hotel with everything you need - Great breakfast and service from the reception staff, helping with local info and booking the bus to the airport which stops right outside the hotel. If you are a light sleeper and buses might disturb your sleep stopping outside the hotel, then avoid the ground floor as the rooms are right beside the stop. My sleep was disturbed every night but other colleagues on other levels were not woken at all by the buses. THe hotel is very peacefull, the buses aside.
- idacederlund (6/5): Medium but not more - Basic hotel, no extras at all in the room or around, basic breakfast and you have to pay extra around 6-7 euro for an cappuccino etc
- clairehT973TV (10/5): Comfortable Hotel. Good Location - Comfortable, well positioned hotel. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Stayed for 4 nights. Requested an extra chair in room which was promptly brought to us. Good facilities. Good quality breakfast selection also. Someone was on front desk the whole time which was very useful, especially when needing to access the hotel early morning after a trip out and checking out early morning to go to the airport.
- Kári (9/5): -
- delain72 (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Excellent location which was perfect for our bus pickups/drop offs for our excursions and to and from the airport. Staff were welcoming & friendly and both our room & breakfast were of an excellent quality.
- HCHVisitor (10/5): Friendly hotel in great location - This was my 3rd visit to storm hotel. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly. I emailed before arriving to request a twin, rather than double room, this was accommodated. We also asked for taxis to be booked a couple of times and this was speedily arranged.
Breakfast is great. Something for everyone. Rooms are basic, but comfortable.
Location is perfect with bus stop 12 right outside. Highly recommended.
- ruthwH4535GB (8/5): Lovely friendly hotel - Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet. Comfortable rooms.
Hotel is close to city centre and very handy for bus pick up for excursions .

- N2557GRvictorc (10/5): Last minute booking turned out solid - This was a last minute booking for us due to a flight change, but they were accommodating with a good price and solid room (ground floor with a view of a parking lot). It's slightly far from the excitement of Laugavegur, but still very accessible with a tour bus stop right outside.
- lgracey2026 (10/5): Excellent - Extremely clean, organised, friendly, helpful.
Breakfast had everything needed, and was fresh and well presented.
Bed comfortable, shower hot.
Location opposite bus stop 12 perfect for trips and drop offs.
Ten minutes walk maximum into shops and restaurants etc.
Would stay again without hesitation.
Only comment - there were some windy door slams when we were in our room, but couldn't hear people.
Bonus - the window opened a little so fresh air was possible.

- emmaLancashire_uk (8/5): Nice hotel but rooms are small if you have a pram or wheelchair - Stayed for a few nights last month. Lovely friendly welcome. We had two rooms on the 4th floor. Lovely and clean and the bonus was that they were adjoining which was great with older kids.
One room had an adapted bathroom which we specifically booked. Sadly the actual room was small and we struggled to manoeuvre the wheelchair around. Also not much storage so no where to keep the suitcases and we had to keep moving them around to enable us to move the wheelchair around.
Nice continental breakfast. Bar area was compact but enough.
Great position for shops and restaurants. Bus stop 12 right outside so ideal for excursions.
- Scottbrittain (8/5): Family trip to Iceland - Small but modern clean rooms.
The only downside was no fridge in the room to store drinks or food.
The Hotel staff were friendly and was situated opposite Bus Stop 12 (great for guided tours which pick up here).
The hotel was only a 5 minute walk to the Main Street in Reykjavik where the restaurant and bars are situated.
A good selection of pastries, cold meat and cereal was offered as part of the continental breakfast which was replenished frequently by the breakfast staff.
Overall a good hotel and would stay again.
- Polapat (8/5): -
- martinushadiprijow (10/5): Love this hotel so much!!! - This is my first visit to Iceland and choosing Storm hotel is a great decision.
The location is perfect; it's across bus stop #12 where (I think) it's a pick-up point or starting point of almost all local tours. And it's close to city center.
Then talking about HOSPITALITY, which is the core of hotel business, I find all the staffs offer very kind gestures & genuine help.
Very recommended hotel!
- O5002IEjudithv (10/5): Lovely Hotel, would recommend - We had a great stay, very helpful staff, lovely clean rooms, plenty of breakfast choice & great location with pic-up stop 12 just outside the door. We would definitely recommend.
- Sari (9/5): - Siisti, hyvä sijainti ja miellyttävä henkilökunta
- W985GAjamesm (10/5): Hotel well worth staying at. - A lovely clean hotel with very competent and friendly staff. A good breakfast was provided and they offered us packed breakfast on the day we left at 7.00 am without us asking. It is right next to the no.12 bus stop which makes getting around easy. It is situated close to the sea and one street away is the house where Presidents Reagan and Gorbachev met in 1986. Altogether this hotel is well worth staying at.
- lindachessor74 (10/5): Recent stay - Lovely hotel, within a 10min walk of the main sights. Great to have the stop directly outside for the tourist buses. Room wss lovely, clean ad bright. Breakfast choice also fab. Recommended for sure
- PTOpher1 (10/5): Great hotel, wonderful location. - A clean facility with very nice rooms. Ours was on the top floor with a neat view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. Definitely a bonus that the breakfast was great and plentiful. Bus stop #12 is right outside the front door, so very easy to hop on buses and tours from there. We especially liked the hotel vibe, and very reasonable for the price charged. We had an epic trip to Iceland. We want to bring our kids next time, would definitely look to stay here again.
The one and only negative, we couldn’t do anything about. There was construction going on right around the corner from us, so we had an orchestra of trucks and power tools in the mornings. Understandably, we would wake up early, get to that delicious breakfast, and be on our way to go see the beautiful sites and sounds in and around Reykjavík, as well as throughout the rest of Iceland. Very happy with our stay.
- YU HSIEN (10/5): -
- Departure140825 (10/5): convenient to bus stop 12 - Perfect location to Bus stop 12 for tours. Modern, clean, delicious breakfast selections and helpful, knowledgeable staff. An affordable cost. Restaurants nearby within walking distance. We highly recommend.
- kirsty202 (10/5): Warm, comfortable hotel in a great location - We are planning to return to Iceland one summer, and would definitely stay here again. It's no frills, but nicely done. The beds were very comfortable and we had a large walk in shower with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The buffet breakfast (served 7am to 10am) was constantly being replenished, so everything was fresh. The room was very clean on arrival, and we chose what day(s) we wanted it cleaned during our stay when we checked in.
The staff were so helpful. We were able to check in early on arrival, and they managed to book us a taxi to the airport after the airport bus was cancelled due to a snowstorm. Very much appreciated.
The hotel is located next to bus stop 12, which was one of the pick up/drop off points for the tours we'd booked (through Bus Travel Iceland), and it was a short walk to the shore, shops, restaurants etc.

- haliec2026 (10/5): Centrally-located, Quiet, & Clean - Our stay at this hotel was fantastic. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean and quiet. It was a fantastic location as a bus stop for our activities via our vacation package was right across the street.
- louisehU2182BY (10/5): Great Stay in Iceland - Friendly reception.Although our room was slightly delayed getting in ,it was worth the wait.Comfortable beds.Very clean.Breakfast was delicious.Catered for gluten free diet.It was a slight walk to the main town but easy to do.Ideal position for tours as they all picked up and dropped off outside hotel.I would definitely recommend.
- btyler13 (10/5): A break with grandaughter - This was a little break to give my granddaughter an experience with a difference and it didn't disappoint. Nice hotel in a great location and we were so lucky to experience bright blue skies and heavy snow, Reykjavik at its prettiest
- kljcoop (10/5): Great hotel - Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location close to everything. Bus stop 12, where all the tours leave from, is literally just across the road. Hotel itself is very clean, helpful staff and lovely continental breakfast. We will definitely return here and recommend it. We left for airport before breakfast and tea, coffee and croissants were available near reception for early travelers. Brilliant!
- 孟 (8/5): -
- patrickrtraveler (10/5): Comfortable, clean, convenient with a good breakfast - My wife and I stayed here for a quick trip to Iceland. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Able to get early check-in for a reasonable fee on our first day. Conveniently next to a bus stop. Would definitely recommend.
- David (7/5): -
- Marcos (10/5): -
- 247k_ria (10/5): Very pleasant stay.. - First we stayed for two nights. Because of weather we had to come back asking for third night. That was not a problem. The staff is very nice and helpful. Good breakfast included.
- Catsoares08 (10/5): Great hotel in Reykjavik - This is a great hotel in Reykjavik. Only around 20 minutes walk to the city centre, but many restaurants and shops nearby. Bus stop number 12 is right outside which is one of the stops in all the tours pickups so super convenient. The room was very clean, the walk in shower is very nice. The breakfast had a good selection and they provided us with a packed breakfast ready to take with us as our flight was early in the morning so we couldn’t wait until breakfast opened. Lovely stay and reasonably priced.
- carzo65 (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Stayed here for 3 nights in March, very impressed with everything from cleanliness to the excellent breakfast. Such a nice atmosphere here, staff extremely helpful and our room (standard double) had everything we needed. Comfy bed and good you get the choice to have your room cleaned every day or like us, just the once. Would return here in a heartbeat and will recommend to anyone I know that is travelling to Reykjavik.
- David (9/5): - Location and breakfast
- L5675AIjacquelinep (10/5): Highly recommend this fantastic hotel! - Loved this hotel - very warm, clean and amazing breakfast. It was quiet - no sounds from other guests or traffic. Location excellent as Bus Stop No. 12 outside the hotel - which happened to be one of the pick up points for many of the tours of the island. The hotel is located very close to the seafront - less than 5 minute walk. Easy walks into the centre of Reykjavik (about 20 mins) and to the Perlan Museum (35 mins walk). Staff friendly and helpful. This hotel provided the perfect base for our holiday and I would highly recommend to others - and hope one day to return myself!
- Ben_Lemmon (10/5): Lovely stay inside Reykjavík - Fantastic hotel, great value for money, location brilliant, breakfast was good, staff helpful. Would use this hotel again.
- 422djn (10/5): Storm Hotel March 2026 - Great little hotel, it's in a good location for the main shopping and restaurant area street and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel where you can get excursions and airport transfers.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is very well presented and clean.
The only odd thing was that the double bed had two separate quilts side by side.
There's no restaurant but breakfast is served in the hotel and there is a bar.
- satisfied2026 (10/5): Satisfied - Within walking distance of city centre and places to eat. Very conveniently situated for pick ups/drop offs for tours with bus stop just outside.
Excellent breakfast.
- X1354MFsamanthac (10/5): Lovely stay - Clean, comfy, great location and friendly staff. As a solo traveller, I also felt very safe in the hotel (as well as in the whole of Reykjavik). Would stay here again.
- AngharadJ54 (10/5): Comfortable beds and staff who care - I had a really lovely stay at Storm Hotel. As a solo female traveller I felt safe the whole time. I arrived just after 11am, and my room wasn't ready, but as I was sorting my things out to put in the luggage storage, I was told a room was available and offered early check-in.
The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows and I slept well, although the second night it had gotten very windy outside, and you could hear the wind. If you need silence to sleep like me, bring some ear plugs. There was no noise from other rooms. There are lifts in the hotel to all floors.
There is a kettle with teas and coffees, but no milk (Not sure if long life milk is a thing in Iceland? and most of the teas were fruit/herbal), and there isn't much surface space in the room if you like to take lots of things out of your suitcase. The room and hotel is very clean and you will need to ask if you would like your room cleaned during your stay.
Breakfast was nice, with various breads, skyr, yoghurt, fruit, meats etc.
It has a good location - Bus Stop 12 is right outside - buses pick up/drop off from either side of the road. It is also near a city bus route, which was convenient for getting to the Lava Show (bus 14), or if you wanted to get the bus to go whale watching (and you just tap your card to pay for the bus).
It is a short walk to where shops and restaurants are.
The staff were really helpful. During my stay I needed to visit the hospital for medical attention and the staff were instantly on the phone for me after clarifying if I needed a taxi or ambulance, and checked in with me each time I passed. I was very appreciative of this given I was in Iceland alone and it felt like they genuinely cared about me.
I will definitely stay here again, as I will need to return to Iceland to do the tour I missed out on!
- L2772BVdaveb (10/5): Great Hotel - This was our second stay at The Storm hotel in two years. It's a very friendly place to stay. It's about 200 yards from the sea front and also the start of the main chanel of shops/cafes/pubs etc. The room was spotless and exactly what we needed, This time we had a balcony which turned out to be great for watching the Northern Lights, Food was great too as was 'Happy Hour'. Bus stop 12 is yards away - dead handy.
- Cherry (9/5): Good accommodation friendly staff, would recommend - Good location, comfortable light and airy, clean room.
- Laura (10/5): Great hotel, great location would definitely recommend - Location, clean, breakfast Rooms were too hot
- Nicola (9/5): -
- YIN (8/5): Wonderful location and nice staffs! - The hotel is close to the center of the city, just need to walk around 10-15 minutes. Staff are nice and friendly, and the breakfast is pretty good as well! During our days to stay, around 9am ish you can hear the sounds come from upstairs, seems like they were fixing the things, but it was really loud :(
- Dominique (10/5): - Hotel très bien située et très calme . Proche du centre-ville et de l arrêt bus 12 pour les activités. Petit-déjeuner très copieux et variés. Je recommande cet établissement. Rien tout est impeccable.
- Gudmundur O (9/5): A very good and comfortable hotel with great staff and breakfast, but missing a few small details to make it perfect. - The hotel was clean and comfortable, the bed was good, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was surprisingly very good. The room had no fridge, and all staff spoke only English, which felt a bit strange as an Icelander staying in Iceland.
- lfagan0162 (10/5): Iceland Northern Lights Getaway - Absolutely wonderful vacation!
Highly recommended destination.
Hotel was in the perfect location in the city.
- alfiebwd24 (10/5): Brilliant - Stayed for 4 days and was just a very lovely, welcoming and cozy hotel, feeling was very immaculate and staff couldn't have been any nicer, I wish I had gotten names but everyone at the front desk was extremely helpful and considerate, would love to stay again.
- Sightsee20281070190 (10/5): Lovely, clean hotel - very convenient location - We stayed at Storm Hotel for 3 nights. Arrived early, and was offered early check in at a reasonable price which we accepted.
Staff friendly and helpful. Room on 4th floor was basic, but clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was lovely - continental offerings, which we enjoyed. Staff very quick to replenish items and clear away plates etc.
Very convenient location with bus stop 12 right outside - great for both getting the transfer buses to and from the airport, and for tours around the island.
Would definitely stay here again.
- Melanie (8/5): Zentrale Lage, außergewöhnlich gutes Frühstück - Preisleistung top - Zentrale Lage, außergewöhnlich gutes Frühstück, geräumige Zimmer
- Alexandra (7/5): -
- 707aileenh (8/5): Clean hotel, good location. - Clean hotel, good breakfast, nice staff. Handy for bus stop 12 for day trip pickups. Also handy for town centre.
We booked 2 rooms on floor 5 which all have a long shared balcony. On the website it says these rooms have robes, slippers and toiletries. We had 2 rooms on this floor. No robes or slippers and just an on the wall hand/body wash squeezy tube thing. Rather disappointing. They need to update their website to reflect this.
- L4851NUsharonh (10/5): Very good would definitely recommend and stay here again - The hotel is basic and bed and breakfast only but spotless staff are very friendly and invaluable food was amazing, with more variety availability would have been better as breakfast was the same every day a fry up option would have been good or pancakes
- ekadventures2017 (10/5): Great location and amenities - The Storm Hotel was a great choice for our first visit to Iceland. The rooms were nice and cozy warm, great shower and very new furnishings. We slept very well. Breakfast was excellent with many choices andgreat service. Front desk was very friendly. Location was outstanding. Bus stop 12 is right outside front door where many tours pick up and also the shuttle to the main bus terminal. There are many restaurants in walking distance and the main downtown streets are also just five minutes away. Also just a short walk to the water where we viewed Northern lights.
- V3029EPsharong (10/5): Just fabulous! - - Fabulous location.
- Everything is within walking distance and bus stop 12 directly outside for tours.
- My room was spotless on arrival and the hotel always looked spotlessly clean.
(I cancelled my housekeeping service as I was hardly in my room and didn't need it)
- Great breakfast with a good choice of items to start the day.
- Helpful staff.
- Comfortable beds and pillows. I slept very well.
Storm Hotel provides everything you need to enjoy your stay and I would stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.
I sadly didn't get to Happy Hour as I was always out.
The only negative for me was that it was slightly noisy due to staying at the front of the hotel and lots of people gathered outside for tour pick ups/drop offs.
There was some noise from other rooms/corridor, slamming doors and people talking loudly on phones.
I did expect this being in a hotel and brought my ear plugs to sleep :-)
It didn't spoil my trip and I would happily return.
- Carlo (10/5): Very functional solution for a short stay in Reykjavik - Excellent breakfast. Right in front of bus stop for airport and tours. Rooms are a bit small and minimal but ok
- Fairooz (10/5): Amazing stay - would stay again if I went back. - This spot exceeded my expectations! So clean, staff were so friendly, very convenient location to walk downtown but also if you’re relying on bus tours, the stop was across the hotel. I also cannot compliment the breakfast enough - so so good! Would recommend this stay to everyone and I normally never write reviews.
- tracywO5739WF (10/5): Great location and wonderful staff - I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the staff. Bo and Susana at the front desk solved problems for us quickly and efficiently. Great location. Right across from the bus stop where the tours pick you up. Good breakfast. We were allowed early check-in after a long flight. Great experience!
- 982trishw (10/5): Fabulous Birthday Teip for Hubby - Fabulous Hotel in a great position for getting out and about. Very friendly helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble for them.
My only “issue” was the rooms were ridiculously hot at night slightly upsetting y sleep
- ttroop2026 (10/5): Iceland 2026 - Lovely clean hotel and friendly staff. We’ve really enjoyed our stay with you while exploring Iceland
- Pixiesunshine (10/5): Fabulous stay, everything we needed - Storm hotel was perfect for our trip. Spotlessly clean from the reception area to our room. The room was well equipped with tea/coffee facility really useful and it was nice & warm. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice & always re-filled as soon as anything was low. It gave us a perfect start to the day. Location was good too being just a short walk to the centre of Reykjavik and lots of places to eat nearby.
