Guest Reviews
- Jose (10/5): - Room was nice and clean. The staff were excellent and professional. Enjoyed my stay!
- Anne (8/5): - One-of-kind Hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. No elevator. Lots of stairs to reception, restaurant
Limited bathroom amenities. No Tea, Coffee making in room.
Beautiful old building.
- Andrew (10/5): - Historic well maintained building. Rooftop restaurant had great breakfast. Spacious room. Area around hotel is depressing.
- Shivanee (6/5): - The property is located about 10 minutes walk from the ferry terminal and is an option to overnight for that purpose. It is an old building that is rich in history and seems to be reasonably maintained. The entrance to the property is off of the pavement in downtown Kingstown so there can be the presence of homeless (they didn't bother us). The rooms are a bit musty but it's an old building that's a bit closed off. We had an issue with our room, the linen seemed clean but there was bits of hair on the bed and the rug was really dirty. We were relocated to another room, this was slightly better, there were still bits of hair. I do believe the room was cleaned with clean sheets, however maybe the person that's doing the cleaning might be shedding hair. Steep stair access. Did not see any wheelchair access.
- Winston (8/5): - Good points- very close to main streets , transport, refrigerator, air condition
Needs improvement - hot water in shower - inconsistent to unavailable , could be noisy at times .
- Thyaeis (8/5): - Excellent location, staff at front desk and security were extremely kind and helpful . Very quaint boutique hotel .
- Delano (6/5): - This hotel needs some upgrades and they need to work those long steps lol. This hotel
Is in the middle of town with no parking so don’t rent a car if your going stay here.
This hotel is just what you will pay for and receive.
- Riyad (10/5): - An great option, in the middle of town, for those coming on business or wanting to explore their small and quaint town. This hotel provides you all the amenities youd need, also equipped with a rooftop restaurant and bar for all of your meal. The ladies at the front desk are always pleasant and courteous.
- Jose (10/5): - Great staff!
- Jomal (10/5): - very nice hotel, with a bar downstairs (Basil Bar) and the restaurant right next to my room
i really enjoy my stay at Cobblestone
- Perin (10/5): - Fantastic stay
- darrend488 (2/5): Never again - The steps were just the beginning… the staff was helpful but with just one person was disorganized and slow. We tried to check in after a long flight to be welcomed by roaches in the room. This was maybe the good part because shortly thereafter a warthog sized rat came slowly walking down the corridor. We promptly checked out. This place should have a health inspection.
- Joelene (6/5): - Charming and wonderful historic step back in time feel everywhere. Great location and fantastic food at the adjoining restaurant. **WARNING! Whistling Warbler bird monitoring/technology was on site and when I say on site, I mean directly within the echoing walls of the property and near windows. The noise at night was so extreme I was not able to get a full nights sleep as it was like having a screeching alarm continuously but randomly going off. While we all want to fully support eco projects of course, it was a very poor choice to have the system disrupt the ability to rest comfortable.
- Amroodeen (8/5): - Good value for money. However, needs a electric kettle and a small mircowave
- Philip (6/5): - Cobblestones is an old style hotel, lovely but very tired, stayed here before, many years ago it still has the same decor, needs a make over.Very convenientfor catching ferry to other islands.Plenty of choise for shopping, busy and noisy area.
Some lovely architecture in the town, must have been beautiful in its day.
Still a beautiful green and vibrant island to visit.with lovely people.
- Charles (10/5): - A lovely historic hotel, very helpful front desk and wonderful breakfasts in the roof top dining room. Convenient and central for exploring Kingstown. Air conditioning in the room was very nice to have. Would definitely stay here again!
- David (8/5): - We only stayef there for one night….In the busy town of Kingstown. Big bathroom, Close to ferry and transportation, 30 Minutes from Airport, close to lots of supermarkets, lots of history for the building and close to KFC
Really pleasant staff and very accommodating towards your needs.
Not so good: lots of stairs, carrying suitcases was a challenge ( got help
From taxi driver) dripping taps- bathroom and face basin. Not enough electrical outlets, some did not work and there was a spot
Of brown stuff on the toilet seat. Did not bring it to their attention, sanitized as we always do
Because of its location friendliness and willingness to really assist you and cost, I would stay there again.
- Efuru (10/5): - The property was beautiful, had friendly staff, and was located directly downtown. However, room furnishing and ambiance are important to me. The room was clean, but the furnishings were falling apart.
- Ian (8/5): Atmospheric but modern inn in perfect spot - Lovely old building, kept in pristine condition, with beautiful plants and outdoor seating areas. Good rooftop bar/restaurant, with a view over to the Caribbean
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient Location - The hotel is just a short walk to the ferry pier, so very convenient if you are traveling between islands. Breakfast is served in a breezy space with pleasant views. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms facing the main road at the front of the hotel experience a bit of traffic noise, so rooms overlooking the interior courtyard are recommended.
- Debra (6/5): - My family chose Cobblestone Inn because of its local; easy to get around Kingstown and connect with our families.
I didn't see any cameras at the ground floor entrance gate that would deter anyone wandering in off the street during the day.
Concerns about the lock system.
Room needs a purifier to take care of the stuffiness. ( can't open any windows, not wise to leave door ajar(safety and mosquitoes)exchange of air/dust allergies)
- Luke (10/5): Pleasant stay right in town - Kind, friendly and helpful staff. Nice onsite restaurant as well as Basil’s below. Room clean and well appointed.
- Alejandra (10/5): - Cozy, spacious, clean room.
- Dawn (4/5): In need of a refurb - This property needs a refurb. It is really looking old & dingy.
Lught fittngs all odd & too dim.
Furniture needs scrapping at its very damaged.
Emergency exit chained & padlocked
Only good thing is its close proximity to the ferry port.
- Christian (8/5): - Decent
- Eric (10/5): - Older rooms but lots of character.
Close to the ferry.
Good restaurant.
Didn’t stray far as not enough time.
- Michael (6/5): - Convenient for catching ferry to Bequia...
- Pascal (4/5): - I had booked 2 rooms for Dec 15 through Expedia and received formal confirmation of the bookings. Upon arrival at the inn in the evening, I was told that they had no availability and had informed me by email a few hours earlier, i.e. when I was sitting on the plane! It took me a couple of hours, with help from the receptionist, to find alternative (more expensive) accommodation outside of town and get a taxi. The Inn stated that Expedia should not have confirmed the booking in the first place. When I complained to Expedia, they responded that I had not been charged by the Inn or Expedia and therefore everything was fine!! and the case closed. I will obviously use other more reliable and trustworthy online travel agents in future.
- Bennita (6/5): - The room was big and nice, for me it needed to be clean in small areas.
- Pamela (8/5): - Lovely old rustic hotel. Great for over night stay before catching the ferry. Great downtown location on the Main Street, right in the centre of the market area. Roof top restaurant breakfast was excellent. Basil’s restaurant, on the ground floor served lovely well prepared and presented food. We had curry conch and catch of the day - excellent.
- Riyad (8/5): - Great location for those who are working and walking to many places in the capital. However thd hotel needs much upgrades but the price isnt expensive so you pay for what you get.
- Steven (6/5): - AC wasnt working too well
- Venessa (6/5): - I’m pleased that it was in the middle of the town but disappointed that I had to climb a lot of steps to get to the front desk with my suitcase.
- rahil (4/5): - There was a plumbing issue that didn't let us sleep until 3 am in the morning and was very unconvenient. Expedia also charged a huge percentage for tax that doesn't make sense!
- Saadiq (4/5): - Nice old building. Lots of potential. No staff to address issues
- Alenna (8/5): - Upon my arrival, the staff at the front desk was professional and welcoming. The room was clean - the AC was on full blast. My only issue with staying at the hotel is no access to lunch and dinner on weekends. However, my overall stay was a pleasant one.
- Colin (8/5): - Good location
- beverly (8/5): - Like this property as it qas in qalking distance to everything
- Neva (8/5): - We stayed at the Cobblestone for one and then caught the ferry to Bequia. Came in on Sunday so nothing open around it, but the staff directed us to Grenedine Hotel for food. Be prepared for steps to move through the hotel. We stayed at the rear and had to go up and then down steps. Bathroom was clean and nice. The room was large with 2 queen beds. The A/C struggles a bit but the room did cool down. The location is the best for being near the ferry. Monday morning the street was very busy and lots of places to shop for groceries and clothing if you needed it.
- Merv (8/5): - Historic building located in heart of Kingstown. Lots of vendors and near the open air market. Port for ferry to Grenadine islands in walking distance. Rooms could use some updates and it can be noisy in mornings when vendors are opening for business.
- francesh872 (2/5): Never again - There are multiple steps leading up to reception, fortunately my bag was collected from the bottom of the steps. The room was dirty, cockroach running across the floor, filthy sofa and the units in the bathroom were covered in dirt, not to mention that a previous guest had left a pair of dirty underwear hanging from the shower curtain rail. However, it is within walking distance of the ferry terminal
- Andrew (8/5): - Very friendly staff. Right in the middle of town - a bit of traffic noise, but that was ok for me.
Walking distance to the ferry port, centre of town and (a longish) wallk to the botanical gardens.
- Frances (8/5): - I stayed at the Cobblestone Inn because of its location. to the ferry terminal. There are about 20 steps leading up to reception- extremely difficult to navigate with a suitcase. Fortunately the lady at reception arranged for my suitcase to be carried up the stairs and down again. There was a cockroach in the room. The sofa was filthy as were the units in the bathroom. There was a pair of ladies underwear left on the shower curtain rail. The shower was lukewarm. On the whole not an experience I would care to repeat.
- Alyssa (10/5): - The staff was wonderful! Be warned that it is very quiet on weekends and most restaurants are closed.
- Robert (8/5): - The condition of the hotel was much better than expected and in a great location. The room I was given was huge. Unfortunately the water wasn't working amd couldn't shower whilst I was there.
- JillH660 (6/5): Cobblestone Hotel - We had a ground floor room but to get to it, you had to go up a flight of stairs and down a flight of stairs. Floors in the room were filthy and the area rug needed some serious vacuuming. Room looks nice when you first walk in and upon closer inspection you start to notice how dirty it was. It was dark and not much daylight available. We stayed one night. It appears to be charming and was an old sugar warehouse and that is why we chose to stay there.
- Ivor (10/5): - The only place I stay when I am in St. Vincent.
- Craig (10/5): - Lovely place. Not a luxury hotel but everything you need is here or within a short walk. Great building too
- BarbaraMNottinghamUK (10/5): Good value lunch in an old inn - Had lunch here on a day trip to Kingstown. Offered a choice of 3 specials, and got an excellent meal with a variety of sides included. Service was friendly & prompt. If you visit, head for the restaurant on the 2nd floor. The old stone inn has bags of character.
- St. Cloud (10/5): - Friendly staff, conveniently located to shopping areas, dining, etc.
- Robert (8/5): - Very good value.
- Andrea (8/5): Convenient location in Kingstown - Always a very convenient location in Kingstown with friendly. I love staying in the historic building however more maintenance is needed.
- Nakita Theresa (10/5): - t
he staff are very friendly
- Monica (10/5): Great overnight stay at Cobblestone - We had a large room . Beds were very comfortable with fresh linens. The bathroom was dated but very clean and there was enough hot water for showers. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Wonderful old world ambiance.
- Windsor (2/5): - Very Very rundown rooms. Left the next day
- Marcelle (8/5): - Friendly and accomdating staff. Location was very convenient for getting around town.
- luisa (10/5): - good location
- Nigel (10/5): - Friendly place
- Brittaney (10/5): - Always friendly staff
- ANGELIQUE (6/5): Not worth the money! - The room was in the process of repair. The ceiling had blotches of paint that showed signs of repairs being done. The items of furniture were ancient and scratched up. It had an unusual musty smell every time you enter. The noise from outside and the room above prevented us from having a decent night's rest. Overall, it's not worth the money. I couldn't wait to leave!
- jeffrey (4/5): - Room was like an oven. Ac did not work, and i could feel the springs in my bed. Not a pleasent stay
- Kathy Ann (6/5): - Location downtown very convenient. Room musty. Sheets thin. Towels dingy, thin.
- Ivor (10/5): - My second time staying there. It's very convenient for my activities.
- Vincent (6/5): - Very convenient for downtown businesses. A good breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. However the rooms need upgrades or renovations.
- Nakeshia (8/5): - I loved that the hotel is in the town so it was walking distance to a lot of the places. That's definitely a plus. However, the building is old and my room was dark maybe because of the paint or because of the decor. I didn't like that much. The rooms were clean and were cleaned daily. The bed was comfortable. The staff and service was excellent. Shout out to Lano from the roof top restaurant.
- Tricia-Rae (8/5): - The cobblestone architecture gives the property a unique ambiance that can hardly be experienced with modern facades. The staff is super helpful. Would definitely revisit.
- Tricia-Rae (8/5): - The staff was very pleasant, approachable and helpful. The cobblestone architecture created a unique ambiance that can hardly be experienced in other accommodations.
- Richard (8/5): - Rustic vibes.
- BrianF567 (6/5): Okay for just an Overnight Stay! - This wasn't what we were expecting. First it is a historical building. Love the architecture if the place, which made it interesting. Rooms subpar...very old and bed not very comfortable. No elevator and of course our rooms were on the second...or maybe third floor as you have to walk up a steep set of stairs just to get to the lobby to check in. Our room we requested was available, but for our friends who requested a room above standard didn't get it as they gave it away to a family.
We did have soap in the bathroom but no shampoo, but the front desk was able to bring some up to us. Our nightstand lamps were missing a lightbulb in one, and the other still had the packaging wrap around the stem of the lamp. They did have a fridge in the room, but we didn't need to use it. Mainly 220, but they did have a converter in the room for 110 so we could charge our phones.
As for the area, we were not comfortable going out to explore. Very sketchy area. There was a grocery store across the street but we didn't feel comfortable going in there even though we were traveling as a group. They did have a restaurant so we could get food since it was late. Food was okay. Nothing to write home about.
Breakfast was available in the morning, but we didn't eat...just coffee.
Overall, okay place to stay if it's one night before going to the airport. If I was staying there a few days I wouldn't be very happy staying there. Next trip I'll pay the extra to stay at a resort where I feel more comfortable.
Staff were friendly so I want to make that point. They were very nice.
- Monica (10/5): Quaint stay in Kingstown - Such a quaint inn. Loved it. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our room was huge with a big bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Dining room is lovely with good food.
- Joe90803 (8/5): Funky but Comfortable - This is an older, funky hotel right in the center of town with a good restaurant and bar downstairs. The service, particularly at the front desk, was welcoming, friendly and helpful. While the place has its charm, it certainly is not fancy. The room was clean, large and comfortable. It was a great location for exploring the town and then moving on to the next destination.

- LISA (6/5): - Beautiful stone building.
Lovely courtyard
Old furnishings
Noisy noisy noisy.
Right on main road.
Convenient to ferry.
Misnamed rooftop bar is just a restaurant, not a bar. Open morning to mid day.
Noisy. Smelled cigarette smoke.
Everything closes at night, so if you are comfortable walking in the dark with occasional spleef smoke and barefoot folk asking quietly for a handout in a clean comfortable room, then this is your place!
Summary
Check in mid day, sleep, have a good priced early breakfast then hop on the ferry to Bequia.
- Annette (8/5): - Lovely old building, very friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast.
The area can feel alittle unsettling at night. Stairs to get to reception. Rooms were abit dated
- Roddy (6/5): - The place was fair. There was no microwave furniture with someone dated and peeling other than that it was OK.
- Maryann (8/5): - Loved the building and the courtyards. The room was large and WiFi good. The staff went above and beyond. The location was downtown Kingstown, near the port and almost across the road from the bus station. The only complaint is The the smelled musty. The staff did try to give me another room. I decided to stay where I was because I liked the room better than the alternatives. If I was staying longer than 2 nights I might have moved my room.
- Fiona (10/5): Fantastic hotel - What a fantastic hotel. Good service, great food, ideal location
- Bengt (10/5): -
- Ivor (10/5): - I love the architecture. I'm an avid lover of these type of building, it retains our caribbean history.
- Dawn (8/5): - Accesx was difficult as gates wete locked & staff on duty fid not have keys. Fire exit gate was chain locked.
Good points , staff all lovely, bed very comfortable, breakfast was gorgeous & a stones throw from the ferry port
- Denison (4/5): - Street noise in our room most of the night
The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and small room is tired
Convenient to the ferry but we’re not staying there again
- Mark (10/5): - Great staff and great cooking in the restaurant.
- David (8/5): - The hotel building goes back to 1814, provides an experience of the old Caribbean era. We had a quiet room and slept well. Restaurant and Roof Terrace staff, food very good. Worked well for a one night stay e route to Bequia.
- Peter (6/5): - The staff are all very lovely but the room I was give very tired and felt grubby with the exception of the bedding and toilet . Furnishings old no plug for bath. No tea facilities in room ( had to get dressed and go to reception) loads of stairs up to reception so not easy with luggage but a great location for the ferry to Bequia the next day.
- TrixiieMissTD (4/5): Dismal. - Miserable and dingey place. Could be a spectacular, historic hotel but it is dark and depressing. The bedroom/suite, while very clean, was like a dungeon. The bed sheet on top of the bed was nylon and hence boiling in a country that needs air con . Basically, synthetic bed sheets in this day and age is ridiculous and totally unnecessary.
The staff were nice. The restaurant/ bar is not anything like you expect Basil from Basil’s bar Mustique to own. All needs a good sprucing up and a general refurbishment.
The restaurant was dark and dismal, though the waiter was excellent and the food although basic was OK. Very disappointing in general. We stayed the night because it is close to the ferry dock and we were catching the bequia Express next day. We will go somewhere else next time even if it is further away from the ferry.
- Jacqueline (2/5): - Too many mosquitoes
- Marie (8/5): - Lovely bath
- Lorna (10/5): - Well trained staff! Very welcoming. Thanks Ann, front desk staff and the room attendant very efficient. I will recommend the Cobble Stone Inn, not only it’s a landmark in the heart of Kingstown, but good service also the restaurant staff at the rooftop.
- Wyrley-Birch (8/5): It’s the best sir for the ferry on to other islands - There is nothing too remarkable about the welcome or the rooms. We did have some very noisy electrical kit buzzing in a cupboard but the room was clean and bed comfy.
Getting bags to the rooms at the back is a trial of stairs and heavy lifting.
But breakfast on the roof is a nice treat.
Will stay again if travelling this way.
- Jean Guy (10/5): - Service in dining room was very slow.
- Jacqueline (2/5): - The towels were very old and dingy
- Jason (8/5): - Quiet, comfortable place in the heart of town, close to many things. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Dining options just below the hotel.
- EdMotion (10/5): Best city hotel for downtown Saint Vincent - The best hotel if your intention is to stay in the city center in St Vincent which is what I did for just one day. The owner of this small but cosy hotel, Ann Joshua is always around and about, and so I met her and had a chat about the property. There is a nice little restaurant on the ground floor.
- Delano (8/5): Poor parking - Parking at this location is not great. I belive the hotel needs to address the parking issue. Overall the hotel is great.
- Gaye Lynn (10/5): Lovely Stay - Very helpful & friendly staff. Street side was not as noisy as we expected - didn't need earplugs!
- Jeffrey armstrong (4/5): Average - Very expensive room with a poor air conditioner that did not cool the room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average - ok for a quick stopover in Kingstown. - Room dated - signs of wear and tear. Air con worked and comfortable bed. Noisy at night.
- Aliecia (2/5): - Needs upgraded
- Adua (4/5): - Staff were accommodating and friendly.
The room i had Room1 was not properly tidied, cobwebs and dirt in the room. Used face mask also found in a container meant to serve ice for residents.
Air conditioner leaking, wooden floor, damp and rotten underneath the air conditioner.
- Karen (10/5): REWARDING VACATION DESTINATION - My stay at the Cobblestone Inn was a very rewarding one. The staff especially the receptionist and bar/food court attendant was very helpful.
I will definitely recommend this Inn to anyone for a comfortable vacation, especially as it is near to everywhere in the capital.
