- Jessica (7/5): - Cozy space. They provided a plug in heater which was nice/needed. Great hot shower! The carpet seemed old, run down, and coming up. There was someone cleaning the septic system (very loud) which made the building shake, and knocked off the wall hung soaps in the shower. We were on our way out so no big deal.

- Julie (3/5): Unclean and Bad Service. - I like the location The bedsheets were dirty, there was hair and debris found under the covers. There was hair in the shower and the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The toilet paper was almost empty and they did not supply any extras. The shower was lukewarm all the time and it would not get hot during our two day stay. Customer service was terrible. We arrived on time and our room was not ready, we were told we would get a call and didn’t receive a call. The supervisor had terrible customer service. The room had an old smell. We will not stay there again.

Will definitely come back! - Loved the privacy of the little cabin, the bed was really comfortable, it was clean Staff wasn’t very welcoming, not much of a greeting, they sort of just stare at you. Could use some customer service skill classes for sure and it would’ve been great, they have a great business and it could be ruined by something as simple as a that. Not too bad though.

- Morrobayboy (2/5): Horrible experience - This was perhaps the worst experience my wife and I have had at a hotel. I have read many negative reviews that are consistent with our stay. The positive reviews must consist of the cabins and not the actual hotel we stayed in. Upon going into our dark room I turned on the lighted ceiling fan it was out of balance and extremely noisy. Coffee maker wasn’t working and no signal to the television. WiFi was slow and sporadic. I asked the front desk if they had a working coffee maker to replace ours and they said no. I asked if someone could fix the tv and after an hour of having two random maintenance men in our room I asked if we could just change rooms. I was told it would be an additional charge. They were finally able to get a signal on the tv after replacing some type of component but it took an additional hour to load. The tv would cut out and filter and have to reload throughout our stay. When my wife pulled back the bed sheet there were a black pair of women’s underwear that fell to the floor. Hotel staff explained that the underwear possibly belonged to an employee and got stuck to the sheets as employees apparently do their personal laundry at the hotel. Day two returned to our room at approximately 3pm and our room hadn’t been cleaned although we left the service room placard on the door when we left that morning. Bathroom window, wall and towels were covered in black ants. Hotel staff came to our room and handed me bug spray. After I sprayed I attempted to open the window for ventilation and it was broken so I was unable to open. Other rooms issues including room entry door with large gaps, room door lock that didn’t seem secure, bathroom light with a fan combination that sounded like broken grinder when turned on and what appeared to be poorly installed shower fixtures. Last is the facility grounds. We were expecting something much nicer based on the hotel website photos that in my opinion are deceptive based on what we actually witnessed.

- Edith (8/5): Would love to come up and stay here again! - The staff who checked us in was super friendly and let us know what is open around in the area in case we wanted to grab a bite to eat. She also let us know that we can get a small discount at the restaurant across the street if we let them know we are staying here. We were welcomed to walk around the property or to check out the fire pits. The rooms were clean and definitely had a cabin feel which I love. The bathrooms were nice, water pressure and heat were good too. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room which definitely came in handy. I love that there was a small dinette table in the room! It kind felt like a cozy mini home. The hotel rooms rooms were quaint and rustic, which is super cute, but we did have a small issue with mosquitoes in the room and pretty big/thick spider on the side of the bed. I totally understand we are up in the woods and thankfully, we had bug spray with us. My family that stayed with me couldn't quite get some good sleep after that. I knocked out like a rock.

We were a later arrival and manager called us about 15 minutes before the office closed to inquire about our arrival time and explain after hours procedures. Very thankful for that as it was our first time staying. Sometimes a simple phone call like that will ensure future bookings.

It was freezing and I had my kids with me. No fire place. They only had space heaters that weren’t big enough to even touch the freezing cold.
- Pa (3/5): Poor - Had tv, microwave, hot water and close proximity to lake, cabin feel Carpet, bedding, room felt dirty, there were leftover food in the fridge, no quiet rooms exists here (walls were paper thin, you can hear other people snore, walk), blinds were broken, water stopped working around 9am.

I love that it is pet friendly 🐕❤️ The bed was so sinked in the middle that my back was in pain the next day. We moved this table that they have in the middle and under it- it was so dirty with lots of food crumbs, there was a mouse trap in the fireplace and behind the refrigerator. The floor was sticky and dirty like it had not been mopped in over a month. Also, the room that they gave us was nothing like in the picture it was a lot smaller. They said i would get a discount for our stay, and that didn't happen. 😒 This is our second time here at this place. The first time was not really bad, but this time, I was really disappointed.
- Heather (7/5): Shaver Lake Village Hotel - The housekeeper did her best to get our room ready, brought extra towels and saved the day!! Cute little boutique hotel with nice grounds to walk around. Apparently there was a water leak in a different room which the check-in clerk was dealing with....so nobody at the front desk. However, the two bedrooms had the warmest, most comfortable beds ever!! No check-in attendant. The main living area was cold...the plug-in heaters just couldn't keep up!!

They provide kitchen items but charge you if you don't wash your own dishes. The oven fan didn't work. The bathroom fan didn't work. I could go on but just wouldn't recommend it.

- FarAway660644 (2/5): Horrible experience, stay away! - I attempted to stay at Shaver Lake Village Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. After walking to book a tent following a long morning of hiking, I found that within an hour, the tent became unbearably hot. My dog couldn't stop panting, and I was sweating profusely. Concerned for our well-being, I approached the front desk to explain the situation. I was met with a lack of sympathy and was told that the manager would be contacted. They assured me they would get back to me, but I never received any follow-up. Despite making multiple phone calls and leaving several voicemails, I still haven't heard back. I'm deeply disappointed with the lack of care and communication from the staff. The safety and comfort of guests should be a top priority, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. I do not recommend trusting this place with your safety.

- Diana (3/5): My daughter and I went. September 12th would have been my wedding anniversary. We have went to Shaver Lake for years. - Location and staff Heater didn’t work. Staff brought us a space heater. Worked great.

- 853dono (2/5): Proceed with caution… - Bad news: I fell through the hotel’s decrepitude front deck injuring my leg and hand. Be careful! Makes me wonder if management responds to bad situations only after they occur. 🤔 Good news: The front office staff was polite and the suite was clean enough. The bathrooms could use some updating.

- Les (5/5): Passable - The mountain setting; rustic. Carpet needed cleaning. Bedside lights blew a fuse. No fitted sheets so they balled up.
- Reg (8/5): A good place for non-campers to enjoy Shaver Lake. - Location central at Shaver Lake was the reason for our choice. 2nd time we had been there while our son and family camped at Edison campground. Unit clean. AC worked fine. Bed comfortable. We stayed in the central 8-rooms unit. there are also cabins we have no experience with. Only VCR. We could not watch the presidential debate. Two wooden chairs hard to sit on to read in the evening.

The room was warm and cozy. Plenty of hot water for showers. Tv set up to log in to favorite streaming service. No staff for check in or checkout. The note said call phone number on door, but there was no number. The bed spread had gunk on it. The dryer was out so we do not have a way to dry all our snow clothes. That was a real bummer. No breakfast provided. There was one mug in our room and only artificial sweeteners available no real plain sugar, and no stirring sticks. All in all some minor details.

Well kept rooms and grounds even during snow storm. Plowed parking lot. WiFi signal wasn’t always available, but it was during inclement weather, so I am thankful for any connection. The place of very good and family friendly.
