- Katrina (8/5): - We lovd that is right on the water. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. We booked a fishing charter and was able to be picked up right off the dock. Breakfast was self served and not continental. But we appreciated that they had several options available including orange juice and coffee. The only issue was that my card was charged twice due to my banks fraudulent activity process even though there weren't any red flags while checking in. Unfortunately still waiting for my bank to issue a refund of one of the charges. Not saying it's the fault of the inn, just beware that it could happen to anyone.
- Ronda (7/5): May or may not try this again. - We did not take part in the breakfast. On Friday night the room next to us must of had a child because I got to hear said child til very late at night, and a MOM yelling at her child, and the child running around and yelling too. The TV reception was very fuzzy.

- Guest (9/5): Town was bigger than expected - Very nice, good choices
- Tom (10/5): just what we needed, wanted and got - comfort, snacks, friendliness, bedrooms excellent tv picture not so good

- Richter (9/5): - Liked the location, we had hoped to go in sunset cruise but the weather was bad. We would like to come back someday.
- Michael (8/5): - Clean, fairly quiet Toilet too low, bed comfortable but would've liked it a little firmer
- Susan (7/5): We liked the location and the accomodations. - The toilet seat was VERY loose.

- Bertzyk (10/5): We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back ! - We loved our big and clean room facing the water !!! Also the door leading out to an awesome patio with chairs, a picnic table and grill !!!
Renee, the motel manager was very helpful and informative and funny ! A foster dog mom just like me ♡♡ Breakfast was great ! Served from 8:00-10:00. Location was perfect! Next door was an amazing bar/restaurant named Kickback. As well as Treasure Cove on the otherside ! Close to downtown ! Expensive to bring our dog along. $50 a night is high. We ended up putting her in a kennel. But worked out ok because we were busy everyday !
- Ponsonby (9/5): Superb -
- Lawrence (3/5): Totally poor and would never recomend - Location Breakfast, so called. Under lock and key. No staff until 9:00 am .dark unlit lobby, very poor noise control between rooms
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was very good! Lots to choose from. Almost everything is kept in the frig, but easily accessible and everything was right there to heat food up. We liked that everything is packaged. Much safer to eat… no contamination.
Also liked that one could use either the door to the outside or the door to the lobby. Comfortable accommodations. The key to the outside was difficult to use. Locks didn’t work well. Difficult for the person sleeping next to the wall. Area too narrow to get out of bed easily. Had to shimmy to the bottom of the bed to get out to use the bathroom during the night, so as not to wake my sleeping husband. Bed needs to be moved over more so each person can get out of bed on either side.
- Deb (7/5): Good - The people who work here are sooo nice! They do their best to make your stay enjoyable!
- Kathleen (7/5): Overall it was great. The weather was the most perfect ever at the fest for the last ten years. - The room was clean and prsentable. Cranberry weekend. Staff hours were not adjusted to provide for the earlier morning leave time for guests. By the time staff arrived most "Fest Goers" at the hotel, were long gone, so the complimentary continental breakfast was unusable. Everywhere we went to eat we were reminded by the town "afterall remember it's fest weekend". Understandable. We understand that it's difficult getting volunteers. Was hotel staff volunteering at the fest? If so, please disregard the above whining :-) One really annoying thing in the bathroom is the automatic light sensor in the middle of the night. Absolutely blinding. No adjustments, Either on or off. Most performances were made in the spirit of Helen Keller. Please allow guests the privlege to dim the lights.
- Jason (8/5): Very good - Very spacious room. Weak toilet, but plungers available in some of the rooms.
- Robyn (7/5): Good - it was clean and comfortable That we needed two different physical keys depending upon which door we were entering, had to get a hair dryer from front desk, and had to miss the breakfast since it wasn't served until 8am.
- William (10/5): Good location and reasonably priced - Didn't eat Breakfast and location was great
- Fohr (9/5): Superb -
- Lane (10/5): Exceptional - Great staff great breakfast items 3 restaurants within walking distance
- Cynthia (9/5): Superb -
- David (8/5): A very nice place for those on a budget - Location worked very well for us as we were doing a metric century bike ride in Conover. Bed and pillow were very comfortable and the room clean. The staff was all helpful and we loved the the dogs by the check-in counter. The shower drain ran a little slow and the mini fridge was froze up.
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (1/5): Bad - Everything
- Treml (7/5): Good - The lodge was clean. The staff was friendly. The location was close to Eagle River. The advertised lake view was only a small opening in the trees. It would be nice if there was seating on the dock so you could sit by the water.
- Mary (8/5): A great value for the price and the staff were very nice. - The location is fantastic on Duck Lake and there are lots of fun bars and restaurants right next door. The rooms are dated and the place could use a little bit of TLC.
- Beryl (5/5): very disappointing - Bed very comfortable, Bathroom was up to date , with a good shower.
Restaurant next door serves a good selection of meals. We booked a room with lake view , but they said we had booked room 15 overlooking the car park. and once booked it could not be altered . This was totally untrue . Eventually they gave us a room facing the lake . that night there was only about two other rooms in the hotel which were occupied, so why all the fuss.
Whole appearance of the room it was very very tired. Breakfast was supposed to be continental, It was the worst we had in three weeks. Reception was dark and dismal when we walked in . The Hotel is in a good position and with lots of TLC it could be brilliant
- Dawn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): Relaxing in God’s Country - We vacationed here back in the 1980’s, still very nice. Nothing we didn’t like….
- Felicia (9/5): Superb - The night front desk worker was very pleasant and helpful and the location was beautiful and close to many things to do
- James (10/5): Outstanding - Excellent Nothing bad
- Gerald (8/5): Very good - Spider's in the room. Got bite couple times and my partner.
- Brad (9/5): Superb -
- Ramona (1/5): Bad -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Wild (9/5): Was a fun time and great friendly staff that answered all of our questions. - It was a nice parking lot, friendly staff, and nice rooms. The breakfast wasn’t the best but it doesn’t affect the overall rating.
- Lyubov (10/5): Very good. - Great staff.Great breakfast. Everything was good.
- Kieler (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charles (8/5): Lovely clean hotel - don't count on the breakfast - Clean spacious room with two entrances. Direct access to the lake. The staff was super friendly and so was their dog. We didn't stay for long, so not much more to say. The hotel page speaks of a continental breakfast is served by the hotel each morning. This is rather disappointing. There's a fridge where you can grab some prepacked stuff. But I guess it's better than nothing.
- Joseph (10/5): Excellent accommodations at a nice price! - Check in was a dream. I had to come in super late (11:30 PM) and it was not an issue as they had my key in an envelope at the front desk with my name on it. Yes I know, super small town, but so simple right? N/A
- Rosemary (8/5): Very good - Nothing for breakfast, because I couldn’t see what was there because of the poor lighting. Poor lighting in breakfast and lobby areas. The room lighting could be improved also. Room comfort was good. Had plenty of towels.
- Ray (6/5): OK for one night, but room facilities old. Was clean. Didn’t do breakfast until 8a - on our route Old facilities
- Psm (5/5): Passable - Beds comfortable. Nice pillows. Restaurant very nice. Good service and good food. Place is run down and dumpy. Carpet dirty. Furniture old and ratty. Breakfast was an unlocked refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Charles (9/5): Superb - We were able to use the pool and ping pong tables and appreciated the fact that they were available.
I also appreciated the breakfast offering.
- Susan (7/5): Enjoyable because we were staying there with family. - Coffee and breakfast Jimmy Dean sandwiches were good. In room coffee was not good. In room coffee
- Dina (8/5): We had a very nice vacation. - I liked how spacious the room was. There wasn't anything that I didn't like.
- Sara (8/5): Would stay at Hiawatha Lodge and Resort again and would recommend it to friends and family. - Room was clean and spacious and had a patio and lovely view of the water. The grounds were nicely maintained. We were allowed to check in a little early. No concerns.
- Dawn (10/5): We had a really good time. The staff was really friendly and helpful. - I wish there was more of a variety of breakfast items for people with allergies. Also told the end of our stay there was much left for us to choose from. Everything was fine.
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeff (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Grab and go breakfast was great, juice and coffee available 24/7. Dog friendly. Fun places around the lodge.
- Doreen (5/5): The location was good, the beds were very comfortable, nice shower. - The beds were really soft, was a good location, the rooms were big. The room was dusty along the floor boards, the sink leaked on your feet whenever you washed your hands (this was also reported), you could see a lot of wet spots (that were dry) on the floor (looked like someone's pet peed on the carpet). We had some people next door that were very, very loud every morning at 6:00 a..m. I complained about it to the young girl at the front desk, but nothing was done.
- Patricia (7/5): Good -
- Andrea (8/5): Very good - Great place. Hope to come back!
- Simonsen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): I highly recommend this relaxing resort! - The location was wonderful, the room was clean and the bed was so comfy. The resort was very charming. The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast was perfect. Not a high class busy hotel, this was exactly what we wanted.
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Pat (9/5): It was wonderful - Location Lake view
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Carol (9/5): Good stay and actually better priced than a lot of properties in the area. - Northwoods decor that met our needs. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable.
It was nice to have a patio with a lake view. Prices are generally high in the area. The windowsill needed cleaning.
- David (9/5): Superb - Nice staff, large comfortable room Seemed a little expensive
- Ron (8/5): They met our expectations for an enjoyable stay. - Breakfast was good location was excellent Trim some trees to improve the view of the water.
- Glenn (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ahrens (8/5): Very good -
- Steve (6/5): Pleasant -
- James (4/5): Disappointing -
- Bryan (8/5): 55 - Location was perfect. No complaints
- Nicole (3/5): Poor -
- Mary (5/5): Passable - We had to get drains to unclog the bathroom sink. The remote wouldn’t work- the batteries were corroded
- Damaris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbie (7/5): Good -
- Jim (4/5): Would not stay there again - The beds were comfortable the pillows nice The coffee pot was not cleaned the light over the table was falling apart, the curtain rod fell apart twice, the chair was stained one lamp didn't work and no coffee replacement
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility is old but the bathroom was updated. Room was very dark. Because all the rooms are on a single floor we had a room overlooking the parking lot so we kept the curtains drawn for privacy. Window air conditioning was very noisy so we used the ceiling fan. No housekeeping during our three-day stay but we were able to get extra towels with no problem.
- Anonymous (8/5): Sandy was so kind and welcoming. Big rooms. We loved the area. - Sandy at the desk was so so kind. Big rooms. Beautiful back space and the lake. Breakfast was very skimpy. Closed the movie room/game room too early. Air conditioner was a bit annoying!
- Tracey (6/5): Pleasant - Beautiful scenery and good location TV didn’t work the first night we were there and girl working the desk didn’t seem like she wanted to be bothered.
- Marie (7/5): Good -
- Debra (10/5): Had a great time and if ever in Eagle River we would choose to stay here again. - The view of the lake, the restaurant next door, the evening clerk was very friendly. The ease of finding the hotel. Internet service was spotty, the room’s TV was small in size.
- Joseph (9/5): Will try to stay here again. - We liked the location, staff and facility…very comfortable room with everything we need….stayed here 40 years ago. Still very nice. N/A
- Wabel (7/5): Good - Nice location and easy check in and check out Was suppose to have a lakeside room ,yet we had a parking lot room 😕
- Lynn (8/5): Very good - Breakfast not early enough. Could offer more.
- Steven (7/5): It was ok and if the occasion arises again, may come back. - Location of the facility was fine. Breakfast could have been much better what with the cost. The one lamp for reading did not have any bulbs in it and therefore was useless. The bathroom needs re-caulking and the shower head needs replacing as it gave out three hard streams of water and no chance to change it.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Home away from home - Very personable and knowledgeable staff, extremely welcoming property. Very home like feeling. No public bathrooms upon entry to lobby, (long drive really had to pee) but heard someone were getting put in so that’s good!
- Gengalo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (10/5): Go to spot - Convenient location. Lake view. All the amenities I needed. Fire pit, grill and restaurant on premises. The breakfast doesn't open earlier for fishermen leaving early to get on the lake. Ceiling fand could use a good cleaning didn't want to turn them on 😒😶🌫️
- Kate (9/5): Very pleasant experience. - Did not have the breakfast All was good
- Pam (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect. Nothing
- Cheryl (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Diana (5/5): Nice all in all - It was very convenient, it was in the lobby Room 22 had a clogged bath tub drain
- Phillip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kcj (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and probably would consider coming back again. - Breakfast was ok, but not as good as other places I've been where they have hot food to choose from Since it was winter and had snowed quit a bit, the driveway and parking area should of been plowed and never was the 3 days we were there. That was very disappointing since I do not have 4WD,
