Guest Reviews
- Mary (9/5): - Great value for the price, beds were comfortable, we checked out to early to try the breakfast. The gentleman that checked us in was great , friendly , helpful and polite. Room was clean. It would be nice to have a couple of hooks to hang your coats on .
- Ron (9/5): -
- Nelson (8/5): - I liked the friendly staff The free breakfast is not a breakfast
- Joshua (8/5): - Room was big, bathroom was good, and just overall was happy with the room for the price. Old fashioned rooms. Free breakfast was lackluster.
- Ricardo (10/5): -
- Jailyn (2/5): - Price The room still has dirty towel
- Landry (7/5): - Bon accueil.
Situation géographique pratique. Le pti déjeuner très « petit « .
- Daniel (10/5): I will be back to stay again. - Room was very clean and comfortable. The price was excellent.
- Austin (8/5): -
- Penny (8/5): - Quiet Need softer beds
- Lucien (9/5): It was a good stay - Check in was organized and efficient. Room was clean and neat. Refrigerator and air conditioner worked well
- Evelyn (9/5): Overall a great value and comfortable stay. - The room was clean and neat. The mattress was very comfortable and the sheets were so soft. It made for a very good night's sleep. The location was close to the highway so very accessible and easy to find. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Not really anything to do with the hotel--but there weren't many options for a good dinner anywhere. We could hear some people walking above us that was a little loud at times.
- Josh (9/5): Affordable spot surrounded by high priced places, while in a smal, quiet area. - Close to the lakes and other sites we wanted to see. It was cozy and in a quiet area. A little dates in the rooms.
- Leanna (8/5): -
- KS (5/5): Für eine Nacht okay - Einfach eingerichtet, zum Übernachten okay
- Chesebro (7/5): -
- Cindi (7/5): -
- Paul (8/5): Everything u need in a room and friendly staff - Facilities are good very reasonable price Can’t complain

- Mary (8/5): - Typical small town motel. Not updated but just fine for a decent nights affordable stay. Highlght....a TV and remote that didn't take a masters degree to operate!
- Carol (8/5): good for the location and value. breakfast was limited by hardy and good. - have to say that whatever cleaning product or spray they are using is very very powerful. it was actually making me cough and gag. i noted purple liquid in toilet and flushed it. i had to open the window and door to let smell out for about 1 hour. not sure if it is always like that or not.
- Eric (8/5): - Room was clean and ready.
- Scott (8/5): Good location for bicyclists traveling the Empire State Trail. Quiet town. decent for the money. -
- Leida (6/5): - Location was good. Dirty bathroom. The tub, the toilet, and the sink were dirty and the bathroom floor was filthy I had to clean it myself with clorox and paper towels. The rug needed vacuuming and the microwave had mold in it.
- Michaelene (10/5): - Super easy to check in. Room was clean and A/C was cold (in a great way)! Just a quick, one night stay but would absolutely stay again.
- Jonathan (10/5): - If was great for a quick IN AND OUT lol
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Raymond (10/5): - Clean room. Efficient staff.
- Alan (10/5): - Perfect for our trip
- Brad (3/5): Bare bones old hotel, with metal noises bed frame. Unprofessional front desk staff. - Close to freeway Know it all front desk person, held pass key to tell unsolicited stories. He went from chatty to snappy when I inquired about getting our rooms closer we were renting two rooms. Unnecessary attitude.
- Patti (8/5): -
- Woodmancy (9/5): Traveling - Location Cleaned
- Kathy (4/5): - Price No bottled water available
- Scott (2/5): - nothing
- Lisa (8/5): Clean Updated Room - Room was clean and had been updated..staff was friendly.. Not alot of food choices in the area..

- Laura (8/5): A clean, comfortable & affordable stay. - Super clean, quiet and comfortable. Everything worked as it should. Friendly checkin & housekeeping staff. Was a pleasant affordable 2 night stay between Skaneateles and Lake Ontario. Very nice 2 floor antique shop a block away - favorite thing for us. A cute little eat in or out diner across the road. Sorry photos refuse to load. (Reading as heic? I have an android not iphone) Wish there had been more variety of eating options close by. There was an Arby's, an extended gas station and the diner close by. There was a pizza place not too far I think. Layout of room was odd but certainly doable.
- Larry (8/5): - Great value
- Elizabeth (4/5): - The property front looks nice, but the rooms are not in the condition shown on the website. Floors, walls, bathroom are in need of renovations & the bed was the worst! Super soggy no support, and the pillows were flat.
The staff when arriving had the door locked and spoke through a window.
- Sabrina (4/5): You get what you pay for. - Close to where the conference I was attending. The room was fair for the price. Someone was smoking marijuana which is legal. However, this is a no smoking property. I broke out in a rash & unfortunately had to take benadryl. Fortunately I only used the room to sleep. Even that was a challenge.
- Elizabeth (8/5): -
- Lynn (10/5): - Updated, accommodating, pleasant desk staff
- Cheryl (10/5): - Very pleased
- Martin (8/5): Very good - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfortable and the location is great. Some of the other people that were staying there were not very respectful of others around them.
- Kevin (10/5): - Very clean and it appears that everything has been recently updated
- Ronald (8/5): Very good - The price was very good for the attitude and service provided. Clean and friendly, making it a very good vslue. TV options were poor. Other thsn that, the room was fine.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Nice place to stay N/A
- Samuel (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Lynn (2/5): Never again - Easy to find and get to Our room was old and needed repair. Ceiling was patched up poorly. Bed frame was metal and noisy. Room was full of mold. I instantly got a headache which was healed when we left. TV remote didn’t work.
- Christina (10/5): - Staff at check in was super friendly and welcoming :) i didnt catch her name, though. Thank you for a quiet night's sleep 😴
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (8/5): Very good - The owner is over-controlling and extremely cheap! For example, they have tiny breakfast sandwiches and posted a note: "one sandwich per customer", and the owner, pretending that he is watching the news, is circling the breakfast area looking at your food.
- Susan (6/5): - It was just OK! Nothing we can say we could say was great. Clean! We didn’t really care for a basement room!!!!!! Damp, but air conditioner helped for Sure. Dehumidifier would have been beneficial! Won’t stay there ever again!
- Barbara (5/5): Passable - Convenient to I 90 No hangers, dimly lit
- Beardsley (8/5): Room price allowed low expectations but I was pleasantly surprised and the staff was great. - Breakfast was simple and just right to start the day. The location was ideal for my needs. The door had a broken pin for the "swing" lock but dead bolt was fine. Some cleanliness issues were noticed but minor.
The bed and coverings were really nice and comfortable.
- Jeffrey (9/5): Superb -
- Pam (4/5): It was the only place near family we were visiting that had a room. - Breakfast was fair.
Location was pretty good. Room smelled weird.
Tile floor was very slippery, I almost fell several times.
Bed was very uncomfortable.
- Jean (10/5): overnight stay - This is a good choice for a stop while traveling on the NY Thruway. It is also not far from Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge for anyone wanting a nice play to stay while visiting.
- Kurt (8/5): - Our stay at the roadway inn was decent... Clean rooms... A little bit more attention to detail on the maintenance side..
- Erica (6/5): Pleasant - The room came with a mini fridge and a microwave, and overall it was very clean. The beds were not very comfortable at all, they seemed like inexpensive mattresses (way too firm for my liking). Also, unless you have a car, it is very difficult to get around... the man at the front desk did not even know a number to a local cab company (I don't even think there are any), and Lyft was charging insane prices because there are very few available in the area. It literally cost me $80 to get to Auburn which is literally 15 minutes away from the motel.
- James D. (6/5): - Adequate accommodations. Room was dated but clean. TV did not work. Check in and check out was efficient.
- Scott (7/5): Good - Location to our events and walking distance to eat/drink. Beds were a little hard for our liking,
- Fillingham (7/5): Bare bones basic clean and safe place to stay. - The price this hotel charges has come down to a reasonable level from what it once was. The hotel is very basic - bed, bathroom, TV, refrigerator, and that's pretty much it. Would be an ideal stop for bicyclists on the Erie Canal trail. The room was clean. Very little in the way of amenities.
- Buffalodave45 (6/5): A budget hotel - This hotel is pretty much what you would expect at the price. Not every amenity, not a lavish breakfast, no fitness room, no pool. It does have clean, reasonably quiet rooms. Our room had a small fridge, microwave, and complimentary single cup coffee maker. The bed was a queen size. Comfortable with soft pillows. No in room phone or clock radio. Furnishings were spare but clean. Decor a bit dated, but okay. Small lounge at the front office. Office center in small lounge not working. Our only complaint was that the entrance door was sticking and had to be forced open when entering and exiting. Location is convenient to I-90 and not far from Syracuse. Free parking and WiFi.
- Reyes (1/5): Bad -
- John (10/5): - The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional.
- Amber (10/5): Good stay - Met my requirements...clean, vomfortable, quiet. All staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast and coffee was provided
- Katona (1/5): Worst trip ever! - Nothing at all This hotel is a flop house the first night I was parked in back with not another car in sight but shady people going in and out clearly something going down. The room was absolutely not updated or clean it was filthy the 2nd night I threw a fit and got moved to the front of the hotel where the worker told me it had been updated within the last 15 years it was better but not by much. Absolutely worst experience I have ever had with booking. Com couldn't get through left e mail and messages absolutely nothing so we were stuck in a very unsafe situation during the holiday weekend.
- Nelly (8/5): - Very friendly staff and a great value!
- Shipman (8/5): Very good - We loved the way the outside looked, so cute! Our room was very cozy and clean. The gentleman that checked us in was great. Our only complaint would be the beds were bit to firm for us.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karol (8/5): Great value - Didn’t eat breakfast there. Went to local diner. It was fine.
Room was fine for quick overnight stay- furniture looked outdated. Better breakfast options
Update furniture
- R (8/5): - Person at front desk very friendly and professional.
- Regan (7/5): Good -
- Ranee (10/5): - Thank you! We enjoyed our stay.
- Maria (8/5): We didn’t expect much but, happy to say, we were pleasantly surprised. - Happy there was a coffee maker, rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, room was more spacious than expected. Great value for the money. It’s a little farther from Syracuse U than expected, where our daughter goes to school.
- Atiria (10/5): Easy peasy check in, easy peasy check out! -
- James (8/5): Good for heavy sleepers. - Clean, easy to get in and out. Staff very polite. Light sleeper so the HVAC minimum fan setting was still very loud and wasn't possible to sleep without it.
- Reyes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbara (4/5): - Roaches found as entering room.
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (2/5): - The property was very pretty, but the rooms were not very good. The floors in the room were wet and sticky, the fire alarm went off every time we showered, and worst of all there were bed bugs. We had booked for 4 nights and only stayed one because of the bedbugs.
- Eleanor (9/5): Superb -
- Wade (10/5): What matters - Perfectly reasonable accommodations for the price. There was an accessible plug between the beds. As a CPAP user, this automatically makes this a 5 star experience.
- Anna-maria (10/5): Perfect place to stay - Quiet and comfortable Nothing
- Tiffany (3/5): Poor - It was mostly empty so very quiet. Not as advertised. No breakfast, patch holes all over the walls. 42 dryer sheets in the heating unit, and when using the bathroom fan... smelled like a crew was smoking weed in the ceiling. Go down the street to Red Roof, AMAZING, CLEAN, GREAT STAFF, GOOD BREAKFAST. Worth the extra few bucks for sure.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (6/5): So so - It was clean and fine. Room was extremely cold upon entering but warmed up. Heat was off. In the morning however I was not able to make a cup of coffee as there was a piece missing from the little coffee maker. I then tried to go to the office a couple of times for a cup and the doors were still locked at 7:25. The driveway was also covered in black ice which was quite treacherous, even at 8:00 when I left.
- Blandford (7/5): it could have been better - it smelled clean in the lobby they advertise there was going to be breakfast. there were 2 cannisters, both half full of cereal. no fresh fruit, they had a shelf thingy for bagels and toast, but no bread products. oh and a toaster. I felt like we paid to have breakfast but there was none.
- Nick (1/5): Bad -
- Narcissa (8/5): Comfortable and affordable - Convenient to work N/A
- Smith (9/5): Superb - Privacy, staff is always friendly
- Smith (9/5): Superb - Convenience, location. No microwave in room.
- Smith (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (8/5): - Always stay here when in town. Never have issues. Friendly owners. Clean rooms.
- Smith (8/5): Very good -
- Mike (8/5): Go ahead and check in! It’s just fine. - We needed a cheaper room for the night and you know how that goes, usually. But we were pleasantly surprised. The place is a bit older but it was clean. I always pull the sheets down before I get in the bed and they passed my inspection. The sheets were a nice quality too! Nice pillows. So if you don’t need super fancy, go ahead and ck it out. The tub is older, but shower pressure was good. I can usually sleep anywhere. The bed was very very firm. I’m not used to that. It’s not a bad thing, but I couldn’t get as comfy. If you like a firm bed, they can meet your needs! Husband wasn’t impressed with the breakfast but he basically wants a buffet. It’s a decent breakfast.
