I woke up with a sore back. When I booked the stay I did not see anything about the pool not being available. They are in the process of some remodeling and the pool was not open.

- Karyna (6/5): - We found bugs in the bed and all over the floor (both live and dead). My feet were black from walking around the hotel room. Overall, I wasn't impressed by the cleanliness. We also had some interactions with the manager that were somewhat annoying and not great customer service. He was more abrupt than he needed to be. There were some misunderstandings on both sides because we booked through a third party. We didn't blame the hotel for the misinformation since it was the third party website we used. However, I felt like we were calm and just asking questions about the possibility of a discount or refund since the amenities we thought they had were not actually available. He got a bit argumentative and defensive when it wasn't necessary. We were just asking and not at all forceful or rude. We had booked this hotel specifically because of the pool which wasn't available for use, so we were hoping to possibly find another option but weren't allowed to cancel or get any money back, which is understandable since we booked third party, but could have been communicated in a much more customer-service-minded way.
- Kathryn (4/5): - We were told there was no fitted sheet for the sofa bed in the suite. We also only had 6 pillows in our room. The front desk staff stated each room should have 8 pillows. I asked for extra pillows for the sofa bed and was told you do not have extra pillows. I asked for her to let us have 2 extra pillows from an unoccupied room and she stated this was not possible. That was frustrating, as we got the 2 queen suite with sofa bed to accommodate our family.

- Dobbyyyy (2/5): Smelled Bad!!!!!!! - We stopped for a night just to sleep from our cross-country trip. Even in the lobby, smells like humidity, old, funky, can't describe it. The room smell was WORSE, we couldn't sleep because of it. Maybe it needs a new carpet or a humidifier. I don't have allergies and my nose was dripping bad felt sick bcs the smell 🤧. Everything was clean, bed and pillow were comfortable.

- Paula (4/5): It was a spooky stay in a spooky town with no where to eat - the morning attendant was very nice. The beds were comfortable even though they were moist from humidity If felt dark and gloomy like the hotel from The Shining. Everything was humidity soaked. Nothing dried out. The room smelled mildew. The evening clerk was unfriendly and kind of gave us a look like she wondered why we were there.

Room was very nice but tile floorr was very sticky and when it got wet in BR became muddy like. The restruant area is very iytdated and poorly lit. More fresh fruit and better oatmeal with toppings would be nice.

This is our new stopping point in our travels to Oklahoma. I wish the rooms were soundproof from the parking lot. Inconsiderate patrons locking their vehicles/horns beeping at all hours of the night. The highway traffic could be heard bur was not bad at all.

Got a room with two double beds and the room was huge. Wish I could fine that room everywhere I worked! Very clean and comfortable beds. My friend forgot her sweater and the guy at the desk even called me to tell me it was left. Great place!!

- Sandra (4/5): Wasn’t very pleased with my stay and my husband wasn’t either!! - I had a bad experience 2 years ago at this location and was disappointed to discover the same lady working there, her attitude upon my arrivals could only be described as a being bothered by having to check me in. I never made a reservation for Sunday, my check out date was Saturday morning, but my reservation til this day states Sunday. The clerk who processed my check in never gave me a copy of my receipt and when I requested my own copy, none was received. The heat advisory was so excessive that my husband felt it would be better to leave just as the day temperature was starting its decline. I also left at 7:38 pm because my drive was not going to take as long as my husband’s drive, but I still had to endure the heat advisiory on my drive home. When I asked for credit because of the heat advisory, the Manager blew me off. He also stated that in future I should never use Booking.com online, to call him directly and he would allow me to use the room he reserves for himself at the motel. That sounded kind of peculiar but I just wanted to know. I specifically requested a king sized bed, and had that room reserved, but in the 25 minutes it took me to drive from the Best Western in Bowie to the one in Henrietta, they had given my room away, and in was put into a room with 2 double beds! My husband did not sleep well and neither did I. Not happy guests whatsoever!!!

- Jessica (7/5): Strange experience, Fixed by front desk staff - The second room we got was a normal hotel room. If not for the first room experience it wouldn’t have been so bad. Walked into the first hotel room and there was a very sour smell. We checked under the bed and there was a pile of dirty laundry, a laundry basket, and the laundry was smelly and had flies in it. I went to the front desk and was immediately given a new room (Thank You). The train whistle blows throughout the night and if you’re on the traffic side of the hotel, expect noise from the semis.

Half a cup of waffle batter at a time with all that would be got out so you had to wait. Small about scrambled eggs but out again waiting 10 to 15 minutes before restocking.
- Johnnie (10/5): Excellent customer service - So I was thinking about leaving a moderate review until we checked out. There was a stain on the sheets and mildew on the shower curtain… but the customer service the next morning was top notch. I would stay again just because the staff is so friendly. They can always clean up a little more, but these days it’s hard to find friendly staff willing to go over and beyond. Anything we needed, they bent over backwards to help with… they also gave the baby a yogurt to take with her! Just very sweet sweet staff.
- N7592WEjimmyw (8/5): Weekday Stay - My wife and I stayed on a week night on our way to Angel Fire NM./ We wanted to visit Lake Arrowhead State park on the way. I researched hotels in Wichita Falls and none were conveniently located or looked clean. This hotel was clean, nice, and convenient. The room AC was on and our accessible room restroom/shower was one of the easiest accessible rooms I have encountered. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was average, but the management was pleasant and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

If you want a day pass to Jellystone but don't want to pay for cabins, this motel is only 17 minutes away from Wichita Falls. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and courteous. Swimming pool was closed for remodeling but we weren't upset because we used Jellystone pools.

- Daniel (8/5): Decent hotel, top notch customer service. - The hotel seemed a bit dated and the pool was closed for renovation. That being said, the customer service was above and beyond my expectations. We inadvertently a bag full of our dirty clothes when we left. DG Palma called and let me know we left them. He said they could mail them to me if we provided a pre-paid mailing label. I printed one from the USPS website and emailed to him and he mailed the clothes to me. He is awesome.

We felt safe on the property and it was quiet during the night. We slept great! Breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast. There were plenty of options that all four of my party found something to satisfy their hunger. The Texas shaped waffle was my favorite! Unfortunately the pool was under renovation when we visited but, we were aware of that before booking the room because they did have that posted on the website. I give 5 stars. We would definitely stay there again.
