- Sunny (2/5): - I booked a king bed suite. When we checked in the first room we were given was currently occupiers by a guest. We went to the front desk and explained what happened and were given another room. The second room we were given was again occupied by another guest. We were then told the only room that was left was a queen bed room so we were unable to get the room that we paid for. The room had bugs crawling around the inside of the window. Would not recommend and would not stay here again.

- Cynthia (8/5): - Property was remote. That was the appeal. The 2nd floor and room Iwas in had had some water damage and leaking that really bothered my allergies. I woke up stuffy and the carpet fresh used in the hallway was overwhelming.
- MICHAEL (2/5): Never again - Could not see through the glass back door, needs replaced. Hot tub in room, (on) button damaged. Shower curtain too long and was a hazard. Shower leaking. Bed was hard as a rock. Breakfast was terrible, we could not eat it.

- Daniel (6/5): Beautiful But Terrible - It started out great—Adirondack chairs facing the river, fire pit, indoor pool and hot tub. However… it wasn’t with it. One, they didn’t allow early check-in despite almost no cars in parking lot. Two, it’s a pricey place compared to other options in the area. Three, and by far the worst part, is that after asking if I could checkout at noon, housekeeping knocked on my door at 9:30. That might not seem like a big deal. These things happen. I was irritated but let it go. Yet I asked myself, “Why would housekeeping knock that early? I have never seen that before, even if checking out at 11.” I told him that I had late checkout. He said sorry and walked away. I dozed off to sleep (got in at 4 am from poker at Cherokee). At 9:57, he knocked again. After I dozed off. What! Now I was angry and called front desk. They said they would handle it. I dozed off and a woman knocked at 10:50. When it comes to service and housekeeping, they are absolutely clueless. You will NOT sleep if you stay here! To make it even worse… The girl at the front desk said she would call me after talking to manager. I never received that phone call. The place looks nice but it’s expensive and they have the worst service I have seen in the area. And the hot rub is lukewarm.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrific stay! Mold, mold, mold! - From the moment I u licked the room door, overwhelming mold “yuck” odor. Went to front desk where the gentleman came back to my room and sprayed some type of solution which did not mask the odor. I was told it was because maintenance left the heat on in the room. There was even brownish “something” on the lampshade. And even “private part” hair left on edge of tub—didn’t see this transgression until I was planning to shower this morning. Additionally, inaccurate room information—no coffee maker, no clock/radio and 2 different times listed for check-in. The hotel is located next to an overgrown kudzu deserted rail line. Had requested an upper level room as I experience travel anxiety—was assigned a first floor room overlooking the parking lot, rail line, and was just 2 doors down from the lobby/checkin/ice machine—-noisy. Dank…dark….awful. Should have slept in my car. Horrific stay!

- Elizabeth (10/5): Great family vacation! - Great family vacation! The grandkids loved the hotel and location. There is so much to do in the area and the kids favorite day was the hotel day. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway or a longer stay. We have been multiple times over the past 5 years and will be planning our next trip soon.

- Stephen (10/5): - This was a truly pleasant experience (a diamond in the rough). The staff were friendly and helpful. Very nice hotel and room was comfortable. Breakfast was great with many choices of things to eat and drink. The back patio was right over a shallow creek and finally a very nice inside pool.

- Jessica (8/5): Beautiful river view - Overall, our stay was very nice. The deck overlooking the river provided much needed relaxation. The hotel is close to everything we wanted to do, plus some. Our only complaint is the beds are not very comfortable. We found them to be on the hard side.
- Lisa (6/5): Key cards are a problem - Check in was bad. That is the first impression. I took the cart up while my husband parked our truck. The door key would not work. So I waited with our luggage until my husband came up. He went back down to get working key cards to find a sign that said will be back in 10 minutes. When we come in there was two people at the front desk. So we waited to get in our room. It was hot and musky in the room. Once the air got moving the musky smell got better. The next morning the breakfast was great. The lady doing breakfast is kind and wonderful. Went out for the day. Had a great time when we came back. Our key cards wouldn’t work. The front desk employing said did you have it around your cell phone, I said my husband‘s been in his wallet, but neither keys are working and she’s well might’ve been around the credit cards. Then I told her well maybe I don’t need to stay at this motel again if I can’t get in my room consistently because I know I hate these keys so then I asked her. I said well I didn’t know they came with instructions. Where should we put the keys? She informed me we should keep them away from everything if we wanted them to work all I have to say to that is wow somebody I’m biggest take away is if you can’t consistently get in your room maybe it’s not the best place to stay.

Terrible room and check in staff did not try to change my room even though I paid for balcony room. This hotel is on a side ride with nothing around very unsafe looking area.

We immediately went to inquire about this. They made us feel third rate because “we booked with a third party (Hotels) and we didn’t qualify for that. Don’t think I’ll choose Hotels or Best Western again.
- John (10/5): - Very nice hotel on the river. Very good breakfast. The area around the property is not very nice. However it is a short drive to Dillsboro and Silva. I think several years back the road immediately in front of the property was the main road but was later changed when a new road opened. It is easy to get to. Very nice, large rooms.
- Jena (10/5): - Very nice property! River view was so pretty! Didn’t understand why there’s no where to hang wet towels in bathroom. A mirror in the room would be nice. Needs a little updating. Walls are thin & you can hear your neighbors like they’re in your room. Otherwise very nice & we enjoyed our stay.

They had eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, toast. Lots of choices to eat. It was in kind of an out of the way place, so it was pretty quiet while we were there.

- Tony (10/5): - Stayed here for a night while passing through and was pleasantly surprised. The location is quiet and scenic, with a nice riverfront vibe that gives it a peaceful feel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

- Rodger (8/5): - Without question, the river flowing behind the property is its greatest asset. Otherwise it would be just another mid-range, average hotel. The toilet in room 207 kept running on its own schedule. When I reported it to the front desk on the first night of my two-night stay I was told that maintenance was not scheduled until the next day, so the toilet continued to do its thing for my entire stay. That is, randomly coming on when it decided that it was time.
- Steve (10/5): - There was a large deck with many tables and umbrellas, also there was a firepit for campfires. All this was facing a river. Very Nice!

- Jack (10/5): Fantastic view of the Tuskaseegee River - The location of this hotel on the banks of the Tusk river is incredible. The facilities are great. The room is large, with a sitting area and sleep sofa. Free wifi, great TV, refrigerator an microwave. Located in or very near the quaint towns of Sylva and Dillsboro.

- James (8/5): Nice deck on the river, fresh plantings. - Awkward being given wrong room #, waking up person, 2 trips to front desk to sort it out. No sheets provided for sofa bed - 3 adults reservation. Clean. Very comfortable king bed. Many corvette owners and cars on site- fun finding that on arrival.

- Kay Lynn (10/5): - Very peaceful by the river. Beautiful views. Nice having an indoor pool, jacuzzi. If you rather be outside there is a fire pit with chairs, (fire wood provided too!). Nice breakfast provided in morning 6-9:30am. We really enjoyed the stay!

The man working the desk when we checked in and most of our stay was awesome and helpful. Breakfast was good every morning. The only little thing to complain about was the towels at the pool were barely big enough for the kids to use.
- Angie (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was located in a quiet area but close to restaurants, shopping, nature and the university. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hot breakfast was good every day we were there. The water was hot with good water pressure. We would stay again if in the area.

However the elevator did not work and my 82 year old mom had a very hard time navigating the stairs. The staff was indifferent and unapologetic. Our room was not cleaned despite the placard in the room stating it would be cleaned daily. The fire alarm was beeping when we returned one day and was promptly fixed. Light bulbs were out in the room, also promptly fixed. The bathroom tub was leaking the entire time and was also dirty. The breakfast was great but eggs were not available. The breakfast attendant was very helpful. I would stay here again but not if the elevator was not working.
- Helen (6/5): - It was ok ,a little out dates and shows signs of wear scuff marks and scratched dresser. Limited breakfast options no microwave in dining area to warm the danish to help soften them up. Was there three nights and the last night the clerk was friendly all the others were not acted like they didn't want to be there . I probably will not stay there again. The indoor pool was great and the nice area to set out to watch to river run.

- Brittany (10/5): Best creek stay! - So good, such a great location and all amenities a hotel should have. The creek i awesome running right beside!
- Kedra (8/5): - The elevator did not work and I was on the third floor, this happened after I arrived, no one offered to help carry luggage down on departure or move my room to another floor where it worked. I have stayed here numerous times and was very disappointed because of the elevator.

- Scott (8/5): - We liked most everything EXCEPT WIFI. I was there for 3 days and was not able to use WIFI. If you need Wifi this place is not for you. Other than that we had a great time!! I had to go to other locations to do my work.

We were not going to drive 3 hours to find out the hotel was closed for some reason, we got another hotel before we left. I will not book with a place you can’t reach
