Sure the amenities were basic, but for the price point i was not expecting anything more than coffee in the morning. Thats exactly what they had, and it was brewed not some instant coffee machine garbage. They were literally half the price of other hotels in the area. Friendly staff. Easy check in.

The AC was so loud it was like a jet engine in the room with us. The room was clean and the the front desk lady was super nice and friendly. The price was very affordable but I can't recommend this motel. We only booked for one night and I'm glad because I couldn't take more than that.

It was quiet, reasonably priced and convenient. The beds are super firm - if you have arthritis etc or any physical issues even one night might be painful. Housekeeping could use some work, there were some pretty obvious areas that could be cleaned between guests (mirror on bathroom door, lamps, door near handle and walls near baseboards). However the sheets and towels were clean, And so were the areas in the sink/bathroom. A more comfy seating chair would be great. The one in the room looks nice but no one wants to sit on hard plastic to relax.

No instructions for how to call the front desk. I had to walk out front each time when i needed something. The motel was mostly empty, but they put in basically the last room in the corner. No coffee maker in room. However, the room is clean and so is the bathroom, so that works for what i needed.

We received a call 20 Mon before time to leave at 11:00, asking if we were leaving. The same employee I had issues with earlier had called. I told them we were working on it but may be a couple of minutes after 11 at worst. At 10:59, the same lady with a cleaning crew was knocking on our door as we were trying to finish loading our vehicle. Telling us to hurry up. They stood over us as we checked out. I called to complain, and she evidently took the complaint call from Motel 6 cooperate. Told them we checked out late. Then she called my phone repeatedly before I was even off the phone with customer service. When I finally returned the call. She decided to try and argue with me for filing a complaint. Absolutely, the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel/motel

It was half the price of the other hotels in the area and it was perfect for our overnight day. The front desk staff was so friendly they even called as we were arriving late to check on us and see what time we would be arriving. The room was spotless and clean. The bed was comfortable. I normally would not have stayed at a motel six and passed it up, but I am so glad that we stayed here.

943jodyt (2/5): DO NOT RISK booking THIS PROPERTY -yuck! - Oh please for nd this review and save yourself from booking here. New booked at midnight on a road trip south not expecting anything wonderful just a safe clean place to sleep for 6 hrs. Imaging getting room 117 and upon entering finding live and dead roaches in the corner, numerous beetles on the walls and a true swarm of ants across the floor , on the cabinets and quickly In-N-Out bags we had just set down. The door to the room did not latch completely leaving a space for the hundreds of insects to come on in. We brushed everything off and went back to the office and was given room 206 which did not have any noticeable live bugs but two dead ones upside down and a filthy fridge. We noticed the front desk gentleman go into our first room armed with a can of RAID and a broom and he entered and sprayed the bugs . All I could think of besides the horror of the ants etc was how some child or pet was going to touch those chemicals with bare skin. Such a safety concern for some uninformed innocent traveler. In the morning I turned in my room key and brought that up but the front desk young lady now was unpleasant. I asked Hotwire to consider not listing them as a “very good “ property as it was disgusting. They phoned the hotel and told me they were hung up on by the staff of motel 6 so they refunded 90 Dollars to my card. Since Hotwire said they seemed unreasonable and rude. Beware do NOT head here for simple and clean. Spend the extra and stay somewhere reputable and be safe.

John (10/5): Remodeled and updated rooms very nice - This Motel 6 in Hillsville VA is absolutely a hidden gem. Check in was flawless staff was friendly. The room was large and remodeled .. king bed was delightful and mattress was new and very comfortable… air conditioning was new and cooled the room in minutes. I will definitely stay here again.
kevin (10/5): - The property was clean. The rooms were clean. The outside light, for me, was very bright shining around the curtains. The bed was not comfortable at all. The only reason for the 4 star.

David (8/5): - The room had a hole in the ceiling from a previous leak. I think I would have had it fixed before I rented out the room to someone.
