Guest Reviews
- Katie (6/5): -
- Leigh (4/5): Needs maintenance - The bed was nice, the room size was nice No hot water, broken hair dryer, poor breakfast food taste and broken breakfast appliances
- Hannah (1/5): Would not recommend - Not a lot Staff were disinterested and fairly unhelpful.
Sent to the wrong room that had not been cleaned / bed unmade and towels on the floor and then was told there were no other rooms available. I was travelling with two small children so this was pretty distressing. They did eventually give us another room that didn’t really look much better to be honest. The room wasn’t very clean and smelled.
- Heather (10/5): -
- Ebon (7/5): Good value and perfect location for us. - Great location The curtains didn’t close all the way and there was a light outside our window. There were blackout curtains, and they were on tracks, but the tracks didnt meet in the middle for some reason to block the light.
- Larry (6/5): An overall pleasant experience. - Room was clean. Overall facility was nice. No clock / No toiletries / has a mean ledge going into bathroom that can easily cause stubbed toes.
- Breanna (10/5): -
- Cesar (9/5): As expected - A little dated
- LOUISE (4/5): Not worth the money - Breakfast Dirty room towels still on the floor in the bathroom. Bed looked like someone sat on it. No one at the desk to complain to
- Yant (9/5): - No staff on duty except kitchen
- Kyle (8/5): -
- Ron (8/5): -
- Nestoras (8/5): -
- Leanna D (10/5): Besutiful n Clean - Everything
- RICHARD (8/5): Very pleased - Read reviews was very concerning, asked to see room before completing booking, was totally surprised. Everything was clean with no signs of some of the things in the reviews. Very happy either way property and staff Internet was a little sketchy
- Aileen (8/5): Nice place to go with the family time! - The rooms were nice and clean, so the restrooms. Breakfast was good and the location. Breakfast was good, but there was no coffee creamer (half & half). Only the first day and there was no more the rest of our stay. And the pancake machine was put of order all 4 days.
- Raiko (9/5): - Estuvimos en la habitación 220. La limpieza, los funcionarios. Una de las luces del baño estaba parpadeando. Es solo cambiarla y listo.
- Amanda (1/5): Do NOT make reservations here! - Do NOT stay here! They will not honor reservations and will place you in a different room and refuse to do anything.
I booked over 2 months ago and when I arrive we checked in with KATE. She gave the keys and room number and said 3rd floor breakfast in the morning. That was it.
When I got to the room it was not what I reserved so I went back down stairs and told her. She said call booking.com. When I tried to give her the reservation number she wouldn’t only say call booking.com while giving a snarky grin.
I reserved a king suite with a kitchenette and was placed in a double queen on the 3rd floor.
I called booking.com and cooperate relations, both tried calling the location to resolve it but no one would answer the phone.
The room smells, the light over the shower flashes and it’s not what we paid for or expected and they will do nothing.
This is by far the worst best western experience I’ve ever had and will never stay at one again. Several years ago best westerns were a great choice and offered things others didn’t, now they are worse than a corner hotel. Do NOT stay here! They will not honor reservations and will place you in a different room and refuse to do anything.

It appeared there was blood on the wall in the bathroom as well. It was just absolutely a horrible experience.
- Roberto (10/5): - Cleanliness was outstanding and front desk clerk were very friendly. No lights in closets.
- Yant (9/5): Ok but nothing to write home about - Bkfst was good not outstanding but very clean and well presented.
Our biggest c9mplaint Noone at desk.....no heat in room on cool rainy night and we were wet and cold. Front desk staffed
- Kimberly (1/5): NEVER AGAIN! - The room was ok The ice machines were broken, the pool and hot tub were closed, which we were not informed about until we got there.
The manager was absent, and let a young person who had just started , handle angry guests because there was no breakfast one morning, due to electrical problems.
- Katie (3/5): Only stayed bc we had no other choice. - It was clean-ish. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. Very quiet. The pool had tadpoles swimming in it, the staff was no where to be found. Carpet was so dirty in the halls, and the small carpet in the room was filthy.
- Ashley (8/5): -
- Keith (1/5): Terrible wouldn’t recommend staying here ever - Location Booked online then when I got there they charged me again. Pool and spa were out of order with disgusting green water and full of mosquitoes
- Keith (1/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): - Availability for me was good Electrical outlets in the nightstands need to be replaced they wouldn't charge my phone
- Jessica (8/5): - Overall everything was good. The hotel could use some updating. Our room you couldn’t get the door open without banging into it. There were holes in the wall and peeling paint. Bathroom fixtures were rusty. But considering where it is at and us only needing a room for one night I’d stay there again. Woman who checked us in was friendly.
- Vanessa (1/5): Never again. - The front desk staff was nice. I booked this hotel for $160/night based on the photos and description on Booking.com, but it was nothing like what was advertised. As soon as I checked in and went up to the room, I was disappointed.
• The bedsheets had visible stains.
• The air conditioning unit had rust and mold.
• The furniture was in terrible condition, with wood warped or peeling off.
• The room had a stuffy, unpleasant smell.
• The bathroom felt more like a run-down hospital or a roadside motel than a proper hotel.
For $160 a night, this was unacceptable. I couldn’t imagine staying the night here, so I ended up leaving and staying with friends instead. Definitely not worth the price or the “hotel” label—it’s more like a low-grade motel.
- Gail (1/5): Do not stay here. - Beds was nasty and molded. Hair was in bed. The hair in the bed and the Mold. The reception was very nasty and had an attitude because I kept telling her the room's hair in the beds. Told me it wasn't her problem. Didn't even stay there the first night and still got charged.
- Mark (8/5): Disappointed - Accommodations were fine. Was looking forward to relaxing in the pool to find out it had been condemned
- VaMeng (10/5): -
- John (10/5): - Everything was good. The room the breafast good
- Jeannine (10/5): - Nice property. Great staff
- Naok (4/5): Smells bad - Conveniently located for our needs. Free breakfast was great. But the hotel smells; the room really smelled. Based on other reviews, we avoided the pool and hot tub. But someone else we know checked it out. Said the pool had a black scum on the bottom; the hot tub wasn’t filled high enough to run the jets and also had a filmy scum layer. Gross
- Traveler45109973883 (4/5): Just an average hotel on the highway. - Stayed here while attending a course at the State College across the street so the convenience of location to college was amazing. The hot breakfast was fantastic and staff was so friendly. The rooms were an average highway hotel room and mostly clean. The pillows are small so if you like big hard pillows maybe bring your own. The room has a great working AC and blackout shades. The beds were very comfortable. There is pleanty of parking on site. Downside to the property. The hallway and room had a slight moldy smell, you can see water damage in the shower areas and the shower head wasn't afixed to the wall. The pool and hot tub were absolutely disgusting and look like they had not been cleaned in weeks. The hot tub barely even had water. All in all it's a quick place to sleep if you need it with a hot breakfast. It's ok and just average.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Everything was good
- david (9/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The pool was not the cleanest but the spa was unusable.
- Crystal (6/5): -
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephanie (10/5): Quality Service - The staff are always positive, professional, and friendly. Our room and the property was clean. There was a good variety of breakfast items that were fresh and tasty.
- CHARLES (10/5): - Great shower and breakfast
- Frank (4/5): Not a good experience. - The first room we stayed in had half of the power out. We didn't know that when we put our food in the refrigerator. We found out the next morning when we took it out, and it was warm. Additionally, our phones wouldn't charge. They did give us a new room the following night and that room was ok, just smelled bad. Food was ok. When we went to report the power issue to the front desk, there was no one available. We waited for a half an hour before we had to leave to go to work. Also, we had a question the first evening and could not find the front desk person as well. Not a good experience. It was close to our job but we will not be coming back in the future.
- cardhuu (2/5): Roach City - As a platinum member I was appalled at the German roaches in the rooms. I first was sent to room 206 King room when my wife and walked in there were roaches dead on the floor to my surprise several came out from under the desk alive! I went to the front and talked with Alex who was in shock apologized several time and move us to a double queen room on the first floor. The room was 110 as we walked in it look clean until I looked in the bathroom there again were German roaches and love bugs dead on the floor, walked over to turn down the air and low and behold live roaches. At $172.00 a night in the middle of nowhere. The pool was cloudy and not nice. I am very surprised that the Best Western Brand has not done something about this. We left and they refunded our room cost. Check the rooms before you pay.
- GEORGE (4/5): - The hotel is a mess. It needs to be rehabbed. Our stay was definitely the worst ever in a hotel. Our first room had a very leaky AC unit. They moved us to another room which was mold infested and under the bed was raw concrete. My wife got sick so we checked out.
- Lisa (5/5): Passable - good location room smelled really bad, staff was soso, every time we had a question the computer was down. No one showed up to make the breakfast ,which is the main reason I picked this hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Toilet was boken and had to manual flushby opening top and pulling lever.
- Chambless (7/5): Stay was ok. Was over charged for one of the rooms. - The breakfast was great, well prepared. Liked the coffee maker in the room. Did not get to use the fridge or micro wave One of the showerheads in the bathroom did not work.
- Crystal (1/5): I was super unhappy but the location is the only reason I’d stay again. - I liked it was so close to where I needed to go the next day. The management and staff. Tried reaching out to manager, never once got a response. Was charged for room with hot tub, never got to stay in that room and never received money back.
- Labertha (8/5): Very good -
- 22nancic (8/5): A+ for accessibility - Overall it was a good experience in the accessible room we had. It was well set up for a person in a wheelchair with easy access to all parts of the room. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The downside was the pool and hot tub were not in service when we arrived but later in the evening the pool was no longer green. The fitness center did not have any air conditioning so not useable. It was easy access from highway but no restaurants or stores nearby.
- Martha (2/5): - The pool and hot tub were filled with algea. No manager on site.
- Leonore (6/5): - It was average
- Sonya (10/5): - The propert was easily accessible from the road. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kaitlin (5/5): Passable -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - It was excellent.
- Terry (3/5): Miserable - Nothing Toilet and tv in my suite didnt work
- Khrystal (10/5): My family and i enjoyed our stay! - Friendly staff......delicious breakfast.....clean facility I loved everything!!
- Mylinda (3/5): Poor - Were it was The pillows were so small and the toilet didn't work in our room had to be moved and they don't have extra blankets if you need them
- Eric (7/5): Good -
- Lani (8/5): - Our fridge was not working, but the front desk clerk swapped it out for me. Luckily I had a cooler that keeps things cold for a long time or my food would have gone bad. The pool was a bit dirty and the hot tub was filled but not at all warm. Food was good and the hotel was quiet in the evening.
- Ralph (3/5): never again - breakfast was good place was a dump. room was old and worn. waited for a hour in the morning for staff to show up.
- P6479GZbrendac (2/5): Horrible - Horrible dirty, front desk was never there. Pool and hot tub were filthy, couldn't use them. Room was not cleaned. Never restocked shampoo or coffee during our 3 day stay. Cards for Room was decoded and couldn't get in. Ran to the pool
during the lock out , it was locked
one at the front desk after 3 times
- MatthewM501 (2/5): Get ready for disappointment. - Unfortunately this is the best place in town. It's also a huge ripoff
The pool was dirty during my entire multiple day stay.
The rooms smell like mildew.
Breakfast options are limited
And no one can find the manager, they are never there. (Ask the staff)
- Linda (10/5): - Very quiet and clean.
- Andrew (5/5): It was too much money for the low quality of the place, only location would bring me back. - We went because you were the only game in town near where we needed to be early the next morning. Breakfast was fine... quite typical. Few healthy options, few low carb options. Your archlights outside were great for a parking lot at night, but you do not give light protection for your rooms. Your "blackout" shades allowed light to flood the room and you don't allow your blackout curtains to block it. All our rooms had unattended damage, broken sockets, broken shower head, loose shower mechanisms.
- Trevor (8/5): - Pillows need to be replaced. They were quite uncomfortable
- casey (8/5): Wedding wkd. - Had a good time as my daughter got married the hotel was close to the venue she got , married at. Price was good .
- Bruce (6/5): - Towel rack in bathroom rusty, water coming out of the sink was low pressure
- William (10/5): Bowling Green, FL - The lady working at the desk was so nice. Everything was clean. The breakfast was one of the nicest I've had at any hotel in the past years. One note: I was concerned about a man who kept coughing around the buffet. Then, I noticed the lady came out and sprayed Lysol and even sprayed it in the elevator after he left. I liked that.
- Jamey (10/5): - Less than 0.5 miles from our activities
- Ollie (10/5): - It was a nice room and I was assigned a handicap accessible room as I requested. My only complaint is that light bulbs were missing from lamp on nightstand.
- Susan Gosselin (4/5): - Upon arrival, front desk staff gave me the wrong key and I entered a room with another guest inside! And over the next 2 days I had to go to the front desk multiple times because the key to the new room did not work.
Facility in need of general maintenance & repairs.
- Richard (6/5): Best Western, Bowling Green, Florida - Hot water in shower was tepid at best. The blackout curtain on the window stopped about 8 inches from the bottom. The bed was just okay, the mattress was very soft
- Ivo (3/5): Musky smell in the entire building including rooms. - Air conditioning had what looked like mold growing in it, the room had a really unpleasant musky smell that irritated your throat within a few minutes.
- Michael (2/5): Horrendous stay - My.
Stay was absolutely horrendous. The hot tub flooded the bedroom and we had to change rooms at 1:30 in the morning just to leave by 11 I will not use this hotel again. I am very unsatisfied and have requested a full refund and have still not heard back from the hotel. It is now Tuesday. My stay was on Saturday. I am very unsatisfied.
- Henley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathy (8/5): - Great People 😎😎
- Jessica (10/5): - Great place to stay when in town for rodeo
- Tara (10/5): - This property is fine but looks unfinished and beat up. People who have stayed here haven’t taken care of their rooms. My comforter cover had dirt on it. It could use a little love and care.
- Robert (10/5): - All good
- Wayne (2/5): - Worst place I have w we stayed.
- Yelitza (10/5): - .
- Christina (6/5): - It wasnt too bad but some rooms didnt have any hot water. Luckily mine did and the rooms did not have any usb outlets to be able to charge my phone. Also the wall mounted toilet roll was becoming dis attached from the wall. No toilet cleaner at all as well
- Larry (9/5): Superb -
- Marla (8/5): Bowling Green Best Western - Very disappointed with hot water situation, both morning we did not have hot water. This needs to be addressed.
- Pa (1/5): Unfortunately it’s the best for the area and the hotel definitely takes advantage of that. On the surface, it looks fine - Open parking lot because no one is there. Everything
- Celine (10/5): Exceptional - Very Quiet N/A
- Thrift (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olajawon (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (2/5): Questionable service - To begin with I made reservations flying in from the West Coast to Florida for a golf tournament. The golf tournament due to weather was moved one day and after making reservations on Hotels.com I was told I could not push the reservation one day without being double charged.
After calling the hotel directly and getting permission to do so, I changed my reservation finally after some haggling. Upon arrival to check in last night, they had no record of my reservation, and I sat at the registration desk for a half an hour, reiterating the change in date. The computer had me down as a no-show for the previous day and there was no manager on site. This is a very remote location and I believe there was one employee on staff who although was polite, she had limited decision-making power, so the whole process and experience was inconvenient and kind of a drag.
- Leticia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (8/5): Good space! - Nice large room and bed and bathroom!
- dawn (8/5): Quiet Place - Easy to check in. Close to shopping and restaurants. Small town feel.
- Brooks (2/5): Something in the Air - My allergies act up both times that I've stayed at this hotel. The room felt damp and I had to buy a room air filter and get Claritin D at the local Walmart to help. No issues before or after the stay, only during.
- Wilcox (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was good. The heater didn't work it was cold in the room.
