• B6861SRmrc (2/5): Roach Hotel - We spent 1 night because at 11 pm a live roach on the carpet by the bed at 11 pm. We were offered another room but decided to check out at 12:30 am. No weather stripping around the door to the room. Refrigerator didn't work and was switched out. Carpet was dirty. Bathtub anti-slip surface had black mold on the edge over 1 ft long. Stained bath towel. Hair dryer had melted wires. Loose tile at elevator lobby. Musty hallways. Cigarette smoke in elevator. The owner / manager didn't return my call the next day.

• kristenlW9143NL (10/5): Great experience - I would definitely recommend the Comfort Inn. We recently stayed there for almost 2 weeks due to our home being repaired. The rates were quite reasonable and we could bring our dogs along for a small fee. Our room was spacious and had a kitchenette. The hotel offers a free breakfast, with both hot and cold offerings. They keep it well stocked, even for late risers like me. What sets this hotel apart though is the staff! Everyone there was so pleasant! Melody and Felicia at the front desk make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Our housekeeper, Martha, kept our room clean and made us feel comfortable. The kitchen staff made sure everything was well stocked. You don't find customer service like that any more.

• Jonathan (2/5): Fleas - After staying in the room for a few hours, my daughter and I were both bitten by fleas in the hotel room. I was able to catch one and I have photos of it. We checked out of the hotel immediately. The fifth floor hallway and our room had a damp musty smell, although my wife and daughter couldn’t smell it.

The room phone was out of service. The pool area was dirty, old out dated and broken furniture. Glad it was just a one night stay. Would recommend staying elsewhere. Hotel staff were uninterested in our room concerns.

• Sarah (2/5): - My family arrived Monday August 4th 2025 at 3pm. A storm came through about an hour later to hour n a half. Storm blown elevator completely out. We were located on 4th floor. I have a 9 month old baby. Management seemed very cheap didn't have someone evaluate elevators till next day. I was carrying. . .my 9 month old pluse stroller up and down 4 floors. This was an unsafe situation. I asked to be moved at least to second floor. Was told couldn't accommodate me. Was told by staff a 20% refund or some kinda refund would be towards my bill for the inconvenience. I have not seen anything. This review will definitely go on my social media for the entire company. We honestly go to companies who care about paying customers and this company doesn't care. Was horrible. Staff great but management terrible.

I have properties in the area, and not only was it close to where i needed to be but for a last minute reservation , the accommodations were outstanding. I give 1000 percent credit for this excellent stay to Juanita Raymond!!!! Her customer service skills, friendliness, smile, and her knowledge of what to do in Tavares was exceptional. I will have continuing business to do in this area and trust i will be staying at this location with no hesitations.
• Linda (2/5): - During the check-in process, I specifically asked to make note not to be disturbed. Not only was I disturbed, my room number and location was given to somebody that came into the hotel looking for me around 10 10:30 PM. The unwanted visitor came to my room And was knocking and pounding on my door.

We were given another room but all of our belongings were stuck in the other room until the next morning. We slept in our clothes. No toothbrush. No apologies. Nothing done to make it right

• CHARLES (10/5): Great stay for the fireworks - Check in was a breeze and great guest relations. Went to the room and there was a commercial type fan in the room, of course went right back down figured there was a water leak. I was met quickly with apologies statimg the carpets were recently cleaned and another room; with a betterbview was quickly given. The amenities were great, room was comfy (trying to figure out wjere to get those pillows..lol), and staff was awesome!
• Kimberly (2/5): Very bad experience - When I entered my room the smell of mold or dirty AC was overpowering and my throat began to itch and then close. I knew I couldn’t stay in the room. The receptionist was nice and said she would ask the manager for a refund for me…however the manager denied my request and I lost my money for the night. I would NOT recommend this hotel!!! I understand things happen but to not honor refund when it was causing an health issue AND I did not use the room is unacceptable.

Without informing me until I saw the charge on my card. I’m out $100 until I receive a refund 2-7 days according to my bank. I’m elderly what will I damage in my room? Unnecessary.

However, they switched our room as quickly as they could get another cleaned. Have to say the head house keeper went out of her way to communicate with us and get us moved asap.

The shower curtain was too short so water got everywhere when showering. When we asked for a dehumidifier they brought one to us. Recommend that they fix the humidity issue because it was quite significant.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially Yvette who made sure our room was always stocked with all our needs. The location was great for our trip to the Leesburg Bikefest. Will definitely be coming back to this hotel!

• Verified traveler (4/5): Rooms smell like dog - The hotel in itself is nice. However, they do allow dogs. So if you have allergies I don’t recommend staying here. Also because they allow dogs the room smells. I’ve stayed here multiple times and this is the first time I’ve ever noticed this issue.

Only thing is the hotel needs major upgrades furniture, carpets, Room had a musty order like a boys locker room. But the front desk helped with the smell. I think it’s just need major overhaul. Yes I would stay again because of price, service, comfortability.
