Clean, modernized with comfy beds; fridge,microwave, free breakfast with the lightest waffles I ever taste. ice machine makes really nice soft ice. King room had a sofa, which was a welcome touch. Friendly front desk.
• csengineeringc (2/5): Terrible "hotel", actually a MOTEL. - Bed was like sleeping on a piece of plywood, WiFi kept disconnecting, coffee and food was horrible, Cleaning crew uses dirty mops (stains all over bottoms of doors/baseboards), TV had only a couple channels, booked for 2 nights and had to get key card reprogrammed the 2nd day while wife stood outside room door, old motel "converted" (not very well), won't ever stay here again.

We had our dog with and the lady at the front desk/check in gave us the best location we have ever had! We backed right up to our door. Single story cottage type. No one next to use so absolutely no noise! Thank you!

• pattiw868 (2/5): Terrible smell in pet room #116 - I reserved an accessible room with a king size bed with a pet. When I arrived I was told the room was not a pet room and they didn’t have an accessible pet room. They gave me room 116, which was a pet room with two queen beds and not accessible. When I walked in the room immediately noticed a strong cat urine and hair smell. Within a few minutes my eyes were watering and sinuses were reacting to the smell. I called the front desk and they guy said as long as I hadn’t used towels or bedding the could give me a different room. I went back to the front desk and he gave me room 117. There was no noticeable odors, so that was much better. But for $168 shouldn’t I be able to expect a room that doesn’t have chipped paint and mildew on the door and walls, no stains on chairs, and bed frames that aren’t ripped up? Breakfast was adequate, but potatoes had not been warmed up all the way through, and eggs and sausage were barely lukewarm.

• johnmS525XI (2/5): Staff is untrained and unprofessional. - 4 rooms 1 night. Reservation rooms # was wrong, tried to charge the wrong credit card (an cc authorization had been sent a week earlier. All done through the Best Westrn site as a member. Staff was rude, slow and did not have any of the proper information in front of them or the desire to find it. Guest also came with hard copies of the info as well. Check in took half an hour and check out was the same mess.

Great choice if you're trailering! - This is a motel-style facility with the rooms arranged in a horseshoe configuration around parking, with the pool, office, and other facilities at the center. After eight straight days in hotels with hallways and elevators, this setup really put a grin on my face. The front desk staff were universally cheerful and helpful. When I checked in, they paid attention to the note I had shared about towing a trailer, and not only guided me to a great spot to park, but offered me a room right across from that spot. Nice! The room was clean and large, and reasonably up-to-date. Breakfast was simple, and in a pretty small space, but fresh and well-maintained. I was only passing through but can see why the ratings are high, and would definitely stay here again.
• G170RMstephanieh (2/5): Extremely Disappointing Stay – Will Not Return - I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at this hotel was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others. The room smelled strongly of dog the moment I walked in. It was overwhelming and clearly had not been cleaned properly. I actually had to clean parts of the room myself just to feel somewhat comfortable. I even went to the front desk to ask for air freshener to help mask the smell, which is not something a guest should have to do. Beyond the odor, everything in the room was either damaged, dirty, or both. It was honestly disgusting and far below even basic standards of cleanliness. We also notified the front desk that there was water coming out of the ac unit near the plug and they did nothing. We ended up sleeping in our car. This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. I will absolutely never stay here again, and I strongly recommend others avoid it as well.

NM is building windmill farms, and we noticed a lot of worker trucks in the parking lot. I never paid this much for a hotel in Santa Rosa before. I believe they're gouging everyone.
• Harry (4/5): A lot of money for filthy carpet and nasty walls - The room itself was generally clean and the beds are notably comfortable, but showing some wear. This is a single story motel, so you can usually park in front of your room, which is great for someone with disabilities or a lot of luggage. This place was once the crown jewel and best secret on I-40 before Albuquerque. No more. The owners have let it go down the drain. We stayed here 3 times a year from 2020 to 2023 and loved it. Now I would rather sleep in my car and keep the $180... that is right, bloody $180 dollars on a weeknight! The carpets are FILTHY. I say carpets because several rooms were open when I arrived and I checked. The little freezer in the already small refrigerator was clogged with ice, food bits on the handle, and in the seals. At first glance, the room seemed clean, but look closer and there are dings, food spatter, and God knows what else. The carpets were so dirty, the bottoms of my feet were black in a few minutes. I put on socks, and soon those were black as well! Perhaps this could be tolerated for $80, but not $180! There are too many choices to stay here again.

I didn't go in when I saw it, i heard about the bottom from someone with me who was in the pool and I could see the dirt float away from his feet when he took steps. The bedding has.the appearance of luxury in the way they make the beds, but the sheets aren't comfortable. Don't be fooled by the marketing photos, this is a motel. The people working at the front desk were very nice though! This is overall more of a $100/night motel at best. With mandatory hideen fees it came out to $179/night.

• Departure55902818723 (10/5): i'd stay here again... - This older hotel on Route 66 was a pleasant surprise after a long day of driving. When pulling in I was leery of this old 1-story hotel. Our room was very clean and had been remodeled within the past couple of years. The A/C was cold, the shower water pressure was good, and the bed firm and comfortable. Also recommend eating at the Silver Moon Cafe which is 100 yards away (serving food at this location since 1959).
