Best Western did have a pet friendly room but that night we did have difficulty locating a pet friendly room - not always clear on the hotels.com app whether the actual room you are booking is pet friendly. In this town, several hotels only had a few pet friendly rooms which were booked making me concerned to book any room that is not specifically listed as pet friendly. I would hate to book a room thinking it was pet friendly and finding out at check-in that even though the motel is pet friendly, the actual room will not allow a pet. Since we usually book and check in within an hour of needing the room, I don't take the cancellation insurance and would loose my booking fee.

- jessmB863TY (8/5): Wow totally enjoyed - Great staff, clean hotel. Rewards program still shows me w three accounts even though I have attempted to fix! Anyway lobby decorated for Halloween, it was Homecoming so lots of teenagers, some dressed up and with flowers. Several swimming but hotel completely quiet by bedtime! Great kids. Gideon bible in hotel!!! Carpet in stairwell! Laundry was perfect thank you! Room spacious with nice furniture. Comfy bed. With a duvet! Haven’t seen that in a while. Hallway had neat niches w vases! Morning kitchen staff on their game! Lovely ladies. Housekeeping certainly was spot on as well. In morning lots of hunter families! Everyone seemed happy and excited for their day. Highly recommend.

Big screen TV, large comfortable bed, shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Location is very good, not far from highway. Food options are about 5 minutes away (drive), so very convenient. Breakfast is included, standard hot and cold spread. Highly recommend staying here.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Certainly better places to stay in the area - I had reserved an accessible room however they gave me a non-accessible room. Had difficulty in the bathroom and was lucky not to slip in the shower. I arrived after dark, and when I opened the door to the room the only light switch anywhere turned on a light over the entrance door, and I had to use the flashlight on my phone to find the lamps in the room. Even with them turned on things were still very dark. Very inconvenient. Bed was okay, shower was hot, but as I said I was lucky not to slip while showering. On my next visit to the area I'll make a different choice of places to stay.

- Kristie (10/5): - Just finished a 10 day trip staying in 6 hotels. This was my favourite property. Room was clean and in great condition. Breakfast options are amazing. Cookies are in the lobby in the afternoon (coffee is also there always). Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a patio with a BBQ. We enjoyed the patio in the evening while some others cooked their steaks. Having a washer/dryer on site was also very handy especially when returning from fossil hunting dusty and sweaty!

- BurienTraveler2014 (10/5): This hotel is in Diamondville Wyoming, not Kemmermer - This hotel is very nice and clean. Our room had carpeting, which we are not fond of, and two different bedside lamps. One lamp could charge your apple phone just by placing your phone on the lamp. The other lamp had a USB port and an outlet on it. It would have been nice if both lamps were the same. This hotel provided hand soap and lotion next to the bathroom sink; they were attached to the wall. The shower had bodywash, shampoo, and conditioner. All of it smelled good. Their was a washcloth embroidered with the word 'MAKEUP' on it. What a nice touch. I only wish they would have left a clean one when they picked up the towels. The pool and hot tub were very nice and clean; they even provided clean pool towels. Breakfast was amazing. One day, we had real scrambled eggs with ham (not powder eggs), fresh cut strawberries, waffles, and more. My husband loved that they had tortillas, shredded cheese, and salsa. They even offered wrapped muffins and donuts; they were delicious. The hotel staff was very friendly and nice. The ladies who made breakfast and cleaned the breakfast area were so friendly; they greeted everyone as they entered and told everyone goodbye.

- Julie (8/5): - The hotel was clean and there was ample parking for our RV. The guy working the counter was ok, but not the usual friendly I would expect. We asked about places to eat that would deliver since we had the camper hooked to our truck. He told us two places, neither of which answered our call. My husband ended up driving with camper in tow to find something open.

I have stayed at a lot of hotels in several states and this one is on my top 5 list. Extremely clean bathroom which is rare, the breakfast and breakfast attendants were excellent, would very highly recommend this hotel.

- michaeldP9327FM (10/5): A great oasis in the wide-open country. - Stayed there for a week or business. Outside of the internet being a little flakey for business use, I also recognize that I was not in a large metropolitan area, so I would still rate the Internet as excellent given the conditions (wi-fi always connected). The room was well maintained, and you cannot imagine how happy I was to find that the soap and shampoo in the bathroom was well stocked. (a common problem with other hotels that put dispensers in the shower). Also, my first night I had to stay across the road at another hotel since the Fossil Inn was booked up, and they set the bar incredibly low in comparison (stale bread, no breakfast selection). I was only too happy to go to the Fossil inn which I would rate better than most comparable hotel chains in larger metro areas. Breakfast was well stocked, lots of options, fresh and hot eggs, biscuits and gravy, Keep up the great work, and Thank you to ALL the staff including the maids, cooks, and especially the front desk. - Monica (10/5): - The best place in Kemmerer when going fossil hunting. The rooms are spacious and they have laundry facilities which are necessary after a very dusty day hunting fossils. They also offer a very good included breakfast. You can make bagel sandwiches to take with you when you are fossil hunting because there are no food opportunities on site. They also have an all day free coffee and hot chocolate machine and in the evening they put out cookies as well.

- John (10/5): - Not much to do in this location. The local area has few things to do or eat out. If you needed a place to stay it was great. Only three places to eat out that the locals could tell me. The only real activity is fossil hunting.

- 629monicab (10/5): When you go Fossil Hunting, this is the place to stay - We went to Kemmerer to hunt for fossils at the Fossil Safari dig site. This is the best hotel in town. Technically it's in Diamondville. An easy drive into town. The hotel is very clean, it has a very necessary laundry room for all of the dusty clothes from the fossil hunt. The breakfast is included and has so many options.

- dsG6508MR (10/5): Best Hotel in Kemmerer WY, Hands Down! - We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. It is without a doubt, the nicest hotel in Kemmerer, WY. We have always enjoyed staying here but a few years back the hotel was becoming a little run-down and poorly managed. Then we avoided staying there if at all possible. Fortunately, new management came in saved the day. The hotel is now nicer than it's ever been. The rooms and common areas have been remodeled and refreshed, and the staff have been very pleasant. The new management is to be congratulated on the turn-around. I would highly recommend this hotel.

- Robin (10/5): - Very nice best western right off the main road. Helpful staff - with things like paper plates and utensils available at the front desk. Room had comfortable beds and was very clean. Large mini fridge and microwave. Couch and seating area, desk with chair. Very easy to eat or work in the room. Nice bathroom. Basic breakfast offered for free (standard hotel fare). Hotel had a nice pool and jacuzzi, as well as laundry options. Not near much to walk but short 10 minute drive to downtown area. Small town, but we found food and laundry services without issue. Useful location for the Fossil Butte NM and for driving along the Oregon Trail NPS sites.
- Allison (10/5): Best Western excellent hotel - This hotel looks like it was built a week ago. Spotless clean, ultra friendly. The hotel is truly a clean and comfortable place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very spacious rooms - We booked 2 queen bed rooms and they were VERY spacious for 8 adults ... enough room for a rollaway because the 2 single men didn’t want to share a bed. The staff was gracious and informed. Great place!
