Guest Reviews
- Ken (4/5): - Staff reclined the room because it was gross. Writing on the inside of the door, dirty sheets, funky smell. I would have gone somewhere else but other accommodations were booked for the night.
- Angelic (6/5): - Staff was friendly. But probably not the best place if you have children. A lot of homeless around and drug abuse.
- Lisa (2/5): - This hotel is a dump, dated and in dire need of maintenance.
- Susan (4/5): - This room had a smell. The bed hugged two walls, but the sheets seemed to be clean, so I went to bed. The bathroom had broken tile, the sink counter was very chipped, and there was no soap available in the room. We used shampoo/conditioner to wash our hands. The carpet on the floor was old, worn out, but did appear to have been vacuumed.
- Henry (4/5): Nice owner, building needs maintenance. - The room had only two lights, one above the bedside table, and one in the bathroom. It shows years of disrepair, and the first room I was given was not clean. So, they gave me another room immediately. There's no dining chair nor a work chair. There's only a reading chair. But how can someone read without lights? There were no clothes hanger, nor a mini fridge to store groceries if necessary. My clothes stayed in my suitcase until I needed them because there's no method for me to hang them. The bright side of all these is that the owner was so nice. She's a very amiable lady. Therefore, the service was great.
- Anthony (2/5): - I got jaked on the price charged me 360 for one nite because the twilight festival now they only want 92 dollars a nite price gouging at its worst didn't even have a complimentry breakfast gurnola bars coffee and tea o boy dont stay there or you bank account will suffer
- Brian (10/5): - It was fine.
- Luis (10/5): - Good place
- Chunrong (2/5): - Dirty laundry and washroom
- Joshua (10/5): - I liked everything about holiday lodge nice and peaceful. All for a budget. Staff was also very friendly.
- Tammy (2/5): - We were first given a room with a broken air conditioner, then a room with no electricity. Then we finally ended up in a room that had no hot water, no working remote for the TV and a sliding lock on the door that didn't work. Cost us $250 for a horrible room and no other options to stay for the night. When contacted wouldn't work with us for even a partial refund. Terrible... less than 1 star.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very old & run down, bathroom was terrible we wouldn’t use the shower!
- Stacy (6/5): - The service at reception was kind and welcoming.
The property needs maintenance and remodeling. The bedding was clean. The AC unit had no cover, and we could see outside, which was not sealed. The bathroom mirror was degraded with spots of missing mirror backing.
Nothing to do with the property itself, but the boat fog horns were prominent through the night.
- Lucas (2/5): - Gross and barely functional
- Victoria (2/5): - The first room they gave me seemed to be occupied by someone of the homeless variety.. then the room I stayed in after I told them someone was in the other room was very dirty, writing on the walls, floors not cleaned, and hair in the shower. I cleaned some of it so I could stay for the night as I didn't have another place available and I had already paid for it. But I would not stay here again.
- Sai Durga Sowndarya (2/5): - If you’re looking for a good place to crash, this isn’t for you.
It’s really unclean, smelling and doesn’t have a hanger in the restroom. Not worth any penny. I had to buy bedsheets and towels just for a night (barely few hours)
Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever been to.
- Emma (2/5): Wouldnt come back - Had to book last minute due to another hotel letting us down, the lights and most plug sockets didn’t work. We had to rely on the bathroom light & tv light to see in the room. The bathroom door had no handle on the inside which meant if the door was shut it couldnt be opened from the inside. We were 2 young women staying here, wouldnt recommend it unless you really had to. Check in was fine, receptionist was lovely and gave free water.
- Matty (10/5): - Oliva at front desk rocks
- John (2/5): - The room wasnt cleaned when we checked in and my dad got bed bugs
- Brian (10/5): - It was fine.
- Kathryn (2/5): - In serious disrepair, felt unsafe, windows wouldn’t close, no dead bolt, trash outside of room, room next door had taped window and torn off ac unit, unable to contact front desk either in person or via phone about room condition. Left the keys(actual key) on bed at 10pm when we decided not to stay there because we had no way to turn it in. Sketchy area.
- Dina (6/5): - It was not bad , the staff really nice , the room was clean but the curtains have red stains looks like a blo.d. furniture was really old not fine . No microwave in the room . Not enough towels . It is not that bad but the price to high for that quality
- Lyda (2/5): - The smell set off an asthmatic response that required us to leave as soon as we got to the room. No screens on windows. It was not a good situation.
- Joshua (10/5): Stay away at all costs - The bathroom was disgusting, the sink and mirror obviously had not been cleaned in awhile. There was a giant brown splatter on the ceiling, the floors were sticky and smelled of mildew. The chair had a blood stain on it. Place says it has free wifi but it didnt reach the room.
- Theresa (4/5): - Everything is very old n out dated. The shower u only use the hot water otherwise it’s to cold.No bathroom window to open. The front door kinda broken n TV doesn’t shut off! Frig couldn’t close all the way.
- Brian (10/5): - It was fine. Great price for tourist season.
- Jeffry (6/5): - Very poorly maintained, very noisy, very small bathroom not well maintained.
- Steven (2/5): - We pulled in to the hotel, half of the room doors were open and people were ahuffling around the place. Garbage was everywhere on the sidewalk and parking lot. We never got out of our car. We couldnt get a refund and really didnt care. You couldnt pay us enough to stay there.
- Brandy (6/5): - First, the staff was warm and welcoming. The beds were clean and comfortable. Water pressure was good.
2nd, we didn't feel secure. Upon arrival, vehicles began to drive through the parking lot, which was occupied by 3 vehicles, including ours. Made us feel like we were possibly being scoped out; there was no other reason to be driving through a motel parking lot after dark.
3rd, the neighbors (I don't think it was within the hotel) were partying until at least 3 am, think loud thumping music.
4th, There is adequate lighting in the parking lot, however not sufficient barriers to keep that light from bearing down on you when you are trying to sleep.
I understand that we chose a cheap option on our way through town on a Sunday night.
- Salma (2/5): No one was there to let me inside to check in - I wasn't able to stay at the hotel. When I arrived I knocked, rang the door bell, and called to let them know I was outside and no one answered. I had no choice but to leave and find another hotel
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Friendly staff, a clean room Nothing fancy, but just a place to get some rest. I would have preferred a coffee pot in the room though. There is one in the lobby. I just needed a place to sleep overnight and it served that purpose.
- Michelle (2/5): - The door had been kicked in multiple times. There was no repair. There was no deadbolt lock. The only thing keeping someone out was a chain lock. The room smelled. The bedding smelled. The towels smelled. The light was on a pull string. The refrigerator did not work. The ceiling looked like the only thing holding it up was caulking. I stuffed a towel into what appeared to be a hole through the foundation. The outlet did not work. I needed to charge my phone and I could not. I did not feel safe at all.
- James (2/5): - This place is a total dump. Everything is old and
/or broken.
- Phillip (6/5): - I am only there long enough to shower and sleep, it met those needs. i was looking for a low cost place and this was.
- Brian (6/5): - No trash cans either in the bathroom or sleeping area and I had to unplug things to plug in my devices. No fan (had to leave the door ajar) and no thermostat.
- Danelle (2/5): - Property was very run down, no shade on the lamp, bathroom doorknob missing, no coffee maker in room. Over all it was just dumpy. The lady at the front desk was nice.
- Laura (2/5): - Very old, dirty, outdated & smelled of mold .
- Mary (6/5): - Meh
- Kerlin (2/5): - One of the worst places I’ve stayed. Looked like it was falling apart. Bathroom was so bad, I decided not to use the shower. Looked like the ceiling might fall down. No waste paper basket. Place was a disaster!
- Larry (2/5): - Junk all over parking lot room dirty no coffee ceiling light did not work
- Amanda (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - Disgusting. Dirty. Smelled like urine. No door handle on the bathroom. No hot water.
Waited q0 minutes for someone to appearto check us i
- David (2/5): Dump - The worst hotel I have ever stay. Rooms dirty beds not made up
- Dimitri (4/5): - Expensive for what you get honestly.
- Lynn (2/5): Dirty! - Dirty! I used my cleaning wipes on the toilet-dirty! A mattress was leaning against the unit next door. Carpet in room is really worn. Door locked but didn’t feel secure. Place is older and probably should be torn down and rebuilt. Overpriced for the “quality”. 2nd worst hotel we have stayed.
- Pamela (4/5): - No place to hang clothes; cold water tap in shower fell off; only one wash cloth for two people; bed was okay; staff were decent, but I’m glad a local had set our expectations low—they were met.
- Prabhat (6/5): - Pretty old but good for the night sleep
- Kim (6/5): - Dirty and uncomfortable
- Scott (6/5): - Friendly staff. Close to eateries.
- JOHNATHON (6/5): - I just didn't feel the property warranted the cost paid. It was high for a motel of low quality.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Poor conditions, sweet staff - The hotel is in need of TLC, broken furniture, damp ceilings, stale odor, towels had rust marks from metal towel holder, A/C was not trimmed -open gaps for air and bugs, just really need in TLC and overall clean up and fixing
- Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid if you can - Bad experience. They don't look at the hotels.com booking details. Shower was broken, the lights didn't work and no one could fix it. Breakfast was included in the booking but they served no breakfast. They charged my card twice. The lady at the front desk didn't speak English. The property is nicely located but it's going down the drain
- Dustin (2/5): - Do not book here, dirty and unsafe. Likely scam
- Michael (4/5): - It was a very old motel. The person that checked us in was very nice and helpful. The room was something out of the early fifties or sixties. Since we were traveling through and only staying the one night we suffered through it, but we would not have picked it for staying more than one night.
- Holly (2/5): - Room was not ready end up going to a different hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): Pictures lie ! Super nasty place - It was horrible Don't let the pictures deceive you the place was trashed broken glass broken furniture sitting outside trash all over the parking lot The room smelled super musky the drawers to the dresser were screwed shut there was burns from meth pipes on that mattresses the other bed was so full of pee that you couldn't even sleep in it couldn't stand next to it cuz it smelled so bad there was food and yogurt all over the curtains broken air conditioners The owner is super rude I asked for my money back as it is not a kid friendly hotel he started yelling at me and threatening me he got mad that I asked for my money back and told hotels.com that I got blood and dirt on his sheets and his bedroom which is a lie. Don't stay here it's a nightmare there's no hot water it's disgusting everybody's rude right in meth central.
- Sara (2/5): Not worth it - Sadly this was not the best experience. The woman in the office was kind but spoke almost no English so it was difficult to communicate with her. There was almost no hot water so a shower was miserable. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The tenants that live there were loud (yelling in the phone outside and arguing late at night and one even broke a window) and creepy. Under the bed was trash from someone else’s stay. You have to ask for more towels, toilet paper, etc. because they NEVER come to change anything while you stay there. The price is outrageous for what you get (which is minimal). It was a last minute booking so I took what I could get, but I definitely would never stay here again and wish I could get my money back. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.
- Paul (8/5): - First room, had no electricity, and the second room had the distinct smell of dog. The motel is disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE.
- Thao (2/5): - This was the dirtiest room, the carpet was wet the refrigerator had mold- I slept in my car
- Christopher (2/5): - Dirty
- N (6/5): - It's average facilities to stay for a holiday.
- Beckam (10/5): - FANTASTIC!!! Rooms were clean and they even left us a free Powerade in the fridge!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed
- barbara (6/5): - Very old and beat up looking. Missing garbage cans and enough working electrical outlets
- Trina (2/5): - Rooms smelled bad. One of our rooms had rotten food in the fridge. One had no toilet paper. Two had no soap. All three had no cup. All had detritus on chair and floor. One person on staff, and although friendly, spoke no English. I have no idea what language she did speak, but it wasn't one I knew. Lots of street noise. The only positive thing I can say is that I did not feel unsafe.
- Randel (6/5): - Great location downtown. Very nice staff. Being renovated.
- Sylvia (2/5): - The appearance was terrible, drove away, lost my deposit for reservation, everything about the place looked dirty.
- Lowell (2/5): - No wasre baskets, nasty odor, no temperature control, not clean , no paper cups.
- Thomas (2/5): - I never checked in and explained why as I camceled
- Kelly (6/5): - Not the best not the worst. Close to everything in town.
- Veronica (6/5): - Staff was great. Bed was clean and comfortable enough. Location convenient. Price cheaper but should be less due to room condition. Room was very rundown and in need of lots of renovation. Light cord broken, holes in wall, ceiling plaster falling off, carpet threadbare and nothing will make them clean, sockets loose from wall...I think if inspected it would fail. Only spent a night as had to wait for ferry and that is all I would want to spend.
- Tracey (8/5): - This is a much older property. It’s good that the area is safe enough, because the security of the doors is quite basic. Also, while everything was perfectly clean, with brand new bedding and towels, the room had that strong old cigarette smoke saturated into the walls. I think either some Ozium bombs, or some Killz paint could go a long way in improving the property. I did absolutely love the staff and it was super reasonable on the rate, so that is the trade off.
- Christopher (10/5): - Excellent friendly staff
- Jacqueline (6/5): - Convenient to my needs. Nothing fancy could use some renovation
- ARIELLA C (10/5): - The guy at the front counter was ridiculously nice and the room was just what we needed for a cheap peninsula getaway. Some people in the reviews were saying things like "it's outdated" and "you get what you pay for" but honestly I've paid way more for way worse. There was working AC and the bed didn't leave me aching in the morning, which motel beds always do! Thanks for a peaceful and convenient place to stay.
- Carmen (6/5): - The staff was great, the room was clean but run down. Definitely worked in a pinch, but not worth what i paid for the room.
- Adrienne (4/5): - The rooms were clean, the sheets and blankets were clean, but the mattresses were so disgustingly dirty and very very uncomfortable. They didn’t even have mattress covers on them. The property is very old and rundown, the furniture was old, the drapes were barely staying hung, the walls were dirty, cracked, and the paint was chipping off. Bathrooms are very small, water changes from burning to freezing in seconds, every few seconds. The only good things about this hotel were the TV, and the housekeeper. She keeps the rooms and grounds clean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is a dump. Windows broken, bedding stained, air conditioner cover gone, carpet is gross… just the last vacancy in town.
- Timothy (2/5): Should be removed from your listings - Young man at front desk very nice at checkin … but was no where to be found when we needed to tell him NO soap, TV not working, NO hot water, dresser drawer broken. Definitely NOT worth the price! $49 a night would have been overpaying!
- Don (4/5): Step back into the past 50 years. - Building dated and other than flat screen TV there haven’t been any notable upgrades since about the 1970s. Patched holes in doors, key locks with keys, cracked ceilings and walls, drain cover missing from shower, not counters in bathroom, broken outlets.
What the place lacked in upkeep was balanced by helpful owner/staff.
- Sandra (2/5): - The conditions were terrible! Very overpriced for what we got. Extremely small room, bathroom in terrible condition. Had to ask for clean pillowcases and wash cloths. Towels were so thin you could see through them. I really don’t know why hotels.com would even advertise a place like this!
- Léo (8/5): - The hotel got certain age and would benefit a refresher. Rooms and building exteriors. The service from the staff was ok. The breakfast would need improvement. Also the cost is high compared to similar taking in considerations mentioned above
- Kornelia (6/5): - The person at the check in desk was very friendly and personable. It was old , but clean. The room was small. The bathroom was just big enough to turn around. There was no spot to even put your toothbrush. The bathroom sink barely drained.
On the plus side… the bed was very comfortable!!!
- Alicia (8/5): - Okay
- Stephen (2/5): - the curtain was broken so we had no privacy. people could see in. the television was not set up and the remote was useless. the front door would not latch properly. there was no lampstand or light by the bed just an overhead light that was poor. there was no table in the room.
the guy at the front desk was cordial. that was not the issue, it was the room itself should not have been rented out. it was broken down and in need of repair.
- James (4/5): - Torn carpet, stained chair, thin walls. No frills whatsoever.
- Huy (8/5): - The building and room are old but the beds and everything else are clean. No thing is fancy but you can stay overnight with the reasonable price.
- Joseph (6/5): - Place needs major repairs. I would not recommend to anyone.
- Margaret (6/5): - Staff was friendly! Building was pretty run down and a bit dirty on the inside. No big complaints. Was as to be expected.
- Ye (2/5): - No good
- Clayton (2/5): Look elsewhere! - Pros: Young man at office friendly, helpful.
Cons: Filthy, bugs in bathroom, holes in walls, bedspread stained, carpet worn through and so dirty feet were black after walking barefoot, no table, one very old and stained chair.
- Holly (2/5): - Disgusting, the ceiling was crumbling, the bathroom was so worn there’s no way it was clean, the tv didn’t work, damp carpet, crackheads dealing across the street. The only thing good was super clean bedding. We only needed to sleep and move on thank goodness.
- Arlinda (4/5): - Used towels, no lightbulbs in the lamp fixtures, no hot or water pressure, hard beds, sliver of a soap bar
- Michael (2/5): - There was blood in the comforter, lamp broken, curtain rod broken out of wall. Had a very strong odor.
- jae eui (2/5): - Everything bad.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor to horrible. - The carpet is ripped/torn/worn in several places. Only outlet was overloaded and had tv and fridge etc plugged into it. Curtains don’t close properly so I had to pin them. Light still shone in. Room was 20 ft from a major road and super noisy even w the old fashioned air conditioner rattling away. Unsafe for any female as single pane windows extended below waist level. Parking lot was poorly lit so dangerous as there was a drop off in the middle. The best I can say is the bath is clean and there don’t appear to be bugs.
- Elizabeth (4/5): Poor to horrible. - The carpet is ripped/torn/worn in several places. Only outlet was overloaded and had tv and fridge etc plugged into it. - Yeng (2/5): - Not feel safety to sleep.
- Mathias (2/5): - Shabby, noisy, smelly, rundown.
Unlike my neighbours I didn't have bugs in the bed but still there was an uneasy feeling throughout my stay.
- Jessica (4/5): - Upon arrival they did not have a room clean and ready even though we tried to check in almost 2 hours after check in time. Also the room we were assigned, the door wouldnt lock with the key. A maintenance man had to come change out the locks. Didnt feel safe
- Joyy (2/5): - This property is a sad excuse for a motel, I cannot believe these people can rent these rooms that people are living in full-time with a straight face. There are holes everywhere in the walls, the front door didn’t even fully open because the second mattress was blocking it, the ceiling had some tape on it that was supposed to hold it together and it was falling down. A giant box screwed shut in the room that was just scary looking, tv didn’t work well, shower didn’t drain and was filthy. The area is a drug activity heavy trafficked place and lots of sketchy people coming and going all night.
