The room were modest, but clean. The neighborhood was good-we felt safe. The cost was higher than reserving with Best Western! The clerk shared that with me at check out the Booking.com has a higher rate than the motel! Why is this?

• AmyBelle7 (7/5): - Beds small, but comfortable enough. Clean, good breakfast options. Very dated, could hear everyone outside, next door and upstairs. Breakfast area is very tiny. Management could do anything about a man who kept parking in the handicap spot with out a placard or handicap plates, he was worried about his truck getting dinged so he parked all sideways taking up a bunch of space. My stepmom needed the spot as she has a valid handicap permit and it was the only spot on that side of the building.

• Brittany (3/5): We would not stay again. Spend the extra 100$ and go to the Marriot or Hampton. - It was convient in location to the wedding venue we were attending. The place was very run down for the price that was paid. Squeaky doors, smoke detectors hanging off the ceiling, and a heater that smelled and sounded like it was going to catch on fire. The tv also barley had any channels and could not be connected to the Wi-Fi. We booked this hotel for 2 nights. We ended up leaving and going home early.

I went barefoot and the bottom of my feet were black. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was good except the terrible smell and dirty carpets.

• Stacey (8/5): A comfortable place to stay in McKenzie - Front desk staff very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The room was modern and clean, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Pool was well-maintained. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a selection of pastries, hot food, waffles, coffee/tea and yogurt available. Parking is ample. It would be great to have bottled water and tea available in the rooms.

• GD64 (2/5): Avoid. Go the extra mile for a quality stay at another hotel. Unprofessional staff. - I am sharing my personal experience to help others make a wise choice. There seems to be a change since our visit last summer or perhaps, the hotel was too busy to fully address the needs of guests. My hunch is they became surprised with the number of guests and had not prepared rooms accordingly. We had two rooms for one night as we visited family in the area. For the entire visit, we were unable to use the internet. First I was told it was overloaded or busy with other guests by the front desk person, then the manager assumed I was using a laptop and a firewall blocked. We were using our phones, the same as at Drury Hotels and Hilton where we experienced zero issues. I never did get the phones to work which I need for my job. My room was not as clean as last year with few amenities, including experiencing cold water in the shower. The morning breakfast was not as good and more limited. The primary concern is the room of the second guest. It was apparent that the room was not cleaned properly as it had an offensive odor which smelled like feces. No wonder that the toilet did not work properly as well. The guest brought this to the manager's attention the next morning who visited the room and stated that she did not "smell anything" and he should have told her about the toilet earlier (despite, also noting that she had no where to move him, anyway). With this being said, he asked for a discount or compensation for a less than quality room and working toilet. She refused and actually threatened to contact the authorities! I am a frequent traveler and never experienced such a terrible stay. Yes, we were compensated with a few BW points which we do not plan to use again. Due to the circumstances for my visit and all of us dealing with grief due to deaths in our family, needless to say, this was not a peaceful stay. I do not recommend and suggest going the "extra mile" to a safe and quality hotel. I have photos but chose to not upload as I feel the shared details adequately describe the inadequate conditions!

However, we had an event to attend and were intending to eat breakfast at 6:00 a.m., as the hotel advertized, but the breakfast was not ready. I will say that the lady at the front desk had herself a big plate of scrambled eggs, but the food for guests was not available. We ate breakfast at McDonalds.

• C (8/5): - It was quiet for the most part. There was a guy mowing the grass at 6 am on a Sunday morning. What I didn't care for was they advertise pet friendly but it's more like pet tolerant. They give you a little goodie bag for your pet but it comes with a long list of rules.Some just seemed ridiculous. If you don't want pets then don't advertise pet friendly or designate certain rooms. It was just went beyond the normal or average expectations of traveling with a pet. Plus the place itself was a little out of the way

• Crystal (6/5): It’s okay but could be a lot better - It was pretty clean I’ve seen worse, the air in the room isn’t very good, my husband loves his cold air when he sleeps and it does not put out very well, and the tub was a little dingy, and idk what kind of shower head they think they have but it had no shower head it just sprays out water like if you put your finger over the end of a water hose, and trying to figure out how to get the water hot took me a good 10min it did get hot tho, bed was so freaking hard I could not even get out the end the next morning lol but the bedding was very clean and smelled very clean, they have a decent breakfast but by the time we even got down there they had already put everything away, we’re not 6am risers they really need to keep breakfast out until atleast 11, I mean we would stay again for a night or two but hopefully they upgrade their amenities soon…

• GD64 (10/5): Excellent Stay - I recently stayed with family at the hotel due to a death in my family. For the two nights that we stayed, we shared a good experience. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and beds are extremely comfortable. The staff are attentive and kind. The hotel has a clean pool with sitting area that was nice to relax in the evening. The breakfast was exceptional and included in the price. I highly recommend.

The bathroom sink was practically unusable because of the faucet shooting the water out like a water pic. We washed our hands in the tub faucet . The mattress was old and needed to be replaced. The owner was one of the rudest, money hungry people I have ever met. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy! He denies there being mold even after I showed him & took pictures. The fact that he is okay with taking people’s money and having them sleep on molded beds shows his character.
