• Kenrick (9/5): A lovely apartment set in the heart of the town. - The location was perfect for reasons for our trip. Only thing missing was a microwave however that was a small thing.

• Álmos (7/5): - Nagyon szép szállás a központ szívében. Tiszta, modern, hangulatos. Wellneszezni szerettünk volna de az csak 6-ig volt. Fizetős wellnesznél nem értem, hogy mért csak 6-ig van.
• Aline (8/5): Emplacement agréable mais bruyant - Personnel très sympathique, très bon accueil. Logement bien conçu (attention il n'y a qu'une chambre). Très bonne situation par rapport aux commerces, bars, restaurants. Situé à au moins 600 m à pied de la plage La télévision dans la chambre et pas dans la salle. Voiture nécessaire pour sillonner, les transports ne sont pas très adaptés. Très bien situé mais extrêmement bruyant (surtout la nuit).

• Bellomo (8/5): Struttura bella, comoda e “utile” - Posizione molto comoda per girare le coste trapanesi. Staff molto disponibile a qualsiasi ora (anche fuori dagli orari previsti causa urgenza). Struttura spaziosa e accogliente. L’acqua del bagno aveva un odore sgradevole (probabilmente dovuto a problemi di fogna). È molto difficile trovare parcheggio - e purtroppo la zona manca di parcheggi liberi. Mi rendo conto che la struttura non abbia disponibilità di spazio per un parcheggio privato, ma questo rende davvero difficile il rientro la sera :(.

Drinks vending machine almost under the bedroom window, which is very active during the night. Very loud, and you can even feel the resonance of every served bottles or cans in your guts....

• Fedkovych (5/5): Information on Booking is not correct, some appartments in bad conditions - Pretty good central location (if you are ok with loud street in the evening :-), close to shops and restaurants, nice and friendly staff ready to help, access to washing machine on the top floor and terrace. but it would be much better if owner would care to ensure cleaning black mould in the bathroom and fixing not working air conditioning. If you will be lucky to get appartment in normal condition - clean enough and working air conditioning - it is pretty ok. walking distance to the beach - not Balestrate beach mention on Booking.com. I checked in 19 june and later in the evening found out that shower cabin is full of black stains of black fungus - that could be dangerous for health. I reported it to the staff and asked to change appartment. they responded quickly and changed appartment next morning 20 June. but in the new appartment air conditioning was not working and and I spent whole day waiting for somebody to fix it. after the fixing it worked less than hour. next day 21 June I again spent whole day in hot appartment waiting for technician man to come and fix it. Also bathroom doorknob got broken and we didn't have access to the bathroom and personal things for a few hours waiting for technician man. after he came later he said that air conditioning is not going to work. I was offered another appartment and finally got adequate living conditions in the evening June 21 - on the third day after arrival. Due to the not adequate equipment and sanitary conditions in the appartments 3 days of my vacation were totally ruined. also I complaint about false information provided on Booking.com concernign Balestrate beach located 150 m from the appartment. In fact Balestrade beach located about 1,5 km from the appartment. the closest beach to the appartment - with no services - located 750 m from the appartment. I came for vacation with my daughter and have chosen Vanity SPA among others because of close access to the beach in 150 m. Information on SPA services provided on the Booking.com also is not correct - access to SPA is possible only during the weekend in 90 min package services for extra pay. No acceess to pool. So, I asked for the compensation for totally ruined three days of vacation. Management offered me and my daughter free massage (total cost 90 euro), that I didn't need. They provided for my request later check out that would cost maximum half of 1 night stay - about 35 euro. I believe that it is not adequate compensation, but nobody responded
• Jonas (9/5): Vanity Spa is a wonderful place home base to experience Sicily from. The accommodations were great, the staff were kind - The staff were all lovely and made sure that we had and understood everything we needed. The location is right in the middle of Balestrate, so it was very easy to get around. The recommendations from all staff, including the local taxi (Milton) and all their food recommendations were perfect. The spa experience was truly lovely. we didn’t have any cleaning service while we were there because we didn’t want to pay for it. Luckily there was a broom in the room. I only wish they offered a complimentary cleaning or towel replacement every two or three days if you stay there that long.

For a Mere 25 Euro for 90 minutes you MIGHT be able to book time at the Spa depending on Member Usage. Parking on the street IF you can find it. For me it was 2 Blocks away! WE were so angry we Left! Oh yea NO REFUND Policy!
• Ciao7777 (2/5): Don't let pictures fool you & beware of additional charges ! - We stayed in Balestrate for a week and needed to be close by to my boyfriend's family in Balestrate. There were a few options to choose from but Vanity Spa looked so beautiful so we booked it. Don't fall for my mistake and be mislead with the pictures. Here are some facts to help you with your decision making process. The most important thing you should know is that this hotel has rooms that are inhabited by locals (not tourists). Lucky me, I happen to get the room right next to a family with a baby and toddlers. The toddlers played in the hallway and I could hear the baby crying constantly. The noise (people yelling, door constantly slamming, etc) started early in the morning, and continued through the night. I honestly felt like the noise was deliberate. I later learned that people living in situations like this, aren't crazy about their apartment complex being rented out by tourists. Another important thing you should know is that our shower leaked onto the floor. We had to wait for the water to drain before the next person could shower to avoid a flood. Staff did nothing about it. To that point, realize that the hotel staff will not always be there. I don't really know what there hours are, I dont think they have any set hours. The hotel is right by the city square, where a lot of festivities take place, but realize that it will be noisy in the evenings. Also, they only allow one key per room. That just would not work for us with two people for a week stay. My Boyfriend's cousin who speaks Sicilian basically told them that we really needed two keys and so he was going to make a copy.... they ended up handing us an additional key, right then and there. Also, even though this hotel was near the city square, there were not a lot of eateries to choose from. All the eateries were towards the direction of a hotel that was down the street with an ocean view, Residence Eloisa. The next time I stay in Balestrate, I will be staying at this hotel. As far as any good points about this hotel, the room was a spacious 1 bedroom, with a dining table, kitchen and an Elvis clock on the wall. Also, it does have an elevator, which was great because we were on the 2nd floor. Note: They will charge you a separate charge for air condition and cleaning !!! We were charged 90 euros extra.
• flexoandbender (8/5): Pleasant - Nice hotel, quiet, unassuming, nice rooms and you get left alone. The transfer from the airport which we booked in Italian and English didn't turn up. Beware all you non linguists, nobody speaks English here, try asking for a new bog roll with limited Italian and not resorting to Marcel Marceau impressions.
• 15elle (10/5): Sicily 2014 - Our holiday to Balestrate in September 2014 was totally amazing, great service from Annamarie starting with the pick up from the Airport then a friendly welcome at the apartment where she helped up with all our requirements for our stay. She also recommended some lovely restaurants which we visited more than once. During our stay we also had a lovely complimentary evening in the spa. This apartment is really good value for money and would say it is more suited to couples/friends who are looking for a real Sicilian holiday.

The staff were extremely helpful in orientating us in the town and recommended some great restaurants. The apartment was such good value for money and a free spa experience in amazing facilities was very generous. I would recommend this apartment very highly, not only for the facilities, but for the help and advice the staff provided, made for what was an outstanding holiday.
