Guest Reviews
- Carolina (8/5): - Muy buen ratio calidad precio y personal super amable
- Vicky (6/5): - No fridge in the room, door didn’t close properly, cleaner come in didn’t change the sheets just new towel.
Food was good
- amandamO7426CM (10/5): Great week - Just returned from a week at Coral Star Hotel. Do not listen to bad reviews, we had a fantastic time. I couldn't fault the hotel. The food was amazing eveynight. Each night was a different theme so always something different to eat. All staff were great, all work really hard. The kids loved the entertainers, expecially Lois, he was fantastic with the children. A credit to the hotel. I can't wait to rebook for next year.
- Anna (10/5): - Breakfast was not so good! But all the staff was great, espacally Paula, Albero etcpp Luis was very funny
- Judocus (6/5): - Matig ontbijt! Het was leuk voor een keertje. Maar liever naar Ibiza stad!
- davideT1596YC (6/5): not for the clubbers too far out - hotel is nice, staff very friendly, rooms and landing need bit of upgrading, if you are planning on clubbing and events in san antonio, mybe this isnt fot you, some evenings you could be over an hour waiting for a taxi, beach nearby and kumahara is lovely , but the street where the hotel and apartments are is really quiet, some closed down businesses, ideal if you want a quiet break, but nor a lively one
- michlloy (10/5): Great family hotel - Just returned home ,we were a family of 6 adults and 4 children we had a fabulous time .All staff are friendly and work so hard .
Rooms are clean and the hallways smell so lovely .we went all inclusive and drinks were great, only gripe would be we were served in plastic cups even in the evenings in the bar, you could only have glasses if you were paying ,which we have never encountered before on all inclusive .
Food although was not as much selection as we've had before it was very tasty and plentiful.
The part that made our holiday extra great was a member of the animation team ,Luis is amazing he's fantastic with the children and adults, my granddaughter absolutely loved him (man) we found ourselves laughing so much in his presence .Hes a genuine entertainer and an absolute credit to the hotel, I'd love to pick him up and take hm on every holiday with us 😀.
Id recommend this hotel its spotless and has fabulous staff throught. It has a very friendly vibe .
- markbazzer (6/5): VFM Ibiza hotel close to San Antonio Bay - Stayed here for five nights in August and found everything to be as expected.
The hotel is located a taxi ride, or water-taxi trip away from the main San Antonio bay and whilst there are a few bars, including the excellent Kumharas, within walking distance, it is not a loud, party area. In fact there is a surprising number of empty and run-down shops & restaurants in close proximity, some of which provide the view from your balcony if you are located on that side of the Coral Star Hotel. The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms were well appointed and kept clean with a daily visit from the housekeepers. However, the hotel does need a refurb as some areas are looking tired and the legendary red carpet could really do with being replaced. The air condition was adequate and I even felt a bit cold overnight with it left running, so we had no problems sleeping even when it was in the mid 30Cs during the day.
The dining area is a compact room, which some old school plastic table covers and it does have the feeling of a school canteen. However, the food was edible, with a different theme each evening, but the choice was a bit limited. Also, there are no live cooking stations, so options I have experienced elsewhere like fresh omelettes or grilled fish are simply not available.
The swimming pools were warm enough, with plenty of sunbeds available. There was no mad rush in the morning, but as with most hotels if you want a particular spot, you will need to reserve it at 9am. There were pool activities including aqua aerobics and waterpolo, which meant some loud music around the pool area, including some Cee Lo Green around the kids pool! The entertainment team consisted of one guy, who really made a great effort, but on his day off, nothing happened.
There are some sandy beaches within walking distance (15 mins), with the best one being out of the hotel and turn left to Es Port d'Es Torrent.
The snack bar was excellent, serving chips & crisps along with daily specials including hot dogs, burgers & chicken tenders. Bar staff were pleasant and worked hard to keep your drinks topped up.
Evening entertainment was limited to a few quiz type games and karaoke, along with a mini-disco.
Bring your own pool towels and maybe even your own plastic cups as you will need to hire these in order to have a drink outside of the restaurant.
The wi-fi is average and connectivity around the pools was patchy. You will struggle to stream video.
This is a budget option for staying in Ibiza and you get what you pay, or don’t pay, for.
- L5403MGcharlotteo (2/5): WORST HOTEL IN THE WORLD. - WORST HOTEL IN THE WORLD.
The whole place genuinely made me so depressed.
We arrived, walked to the room, the carpets covered in stains and god knows what else.
We got into the room and my god was it bad.
As soon as we saw the conditions, we knew we had to leave.
We were there all of ten minutes and
They wouldnt give us a refund and the staff were so rude!!!
This is place needs to be shut down.
Hell on earth.
Disgusting.
Shut this place down asap.
- debbieaJ1136SZ (8/5): Amazing holiday - Omg what an awesome hotel if you are going as a family. Family of 8 from 3 to 80. Food was great always something to eat even for the picky eaters. Rooms basic beds a bit hard well for me some people didn’t mind. All the staff were amazing. Always there to help if needed. Ohh the entertainment staff. Out of this world. As for Louie he was the highlight of the holidays. Had all of us laughing from start to finish. 10 /10 for him. We will be back
- Ceecee269 (8/5): Great hotel - would stay again! - We arrived fairly late at the hotel and had our very tired little one with us, however the receptionist was very quick and helpful to get us checked in almost immediately!
The communal areas are lovely and clean, a lot nicer than I had expected, however a few areas in need of a little TLC perhaps, but barely anything to ruin your holiday at all !!
We had a studio apartment which was lovely and spacious for what we needed, a good sized balcony with a pool view and it was cleaned every day with fresh towels.
We’d gone All Inclusive which was great for drinks and the snack bar was also fairly good and open most the day. The restaurant food was actually pretty good, plenty of variety most days, but definitely worth venturing out some days/nights if you can as lots of lovely places locally!
I don’t know what half the reviews are on about that there’s nothing around???!!! There’s literally a handful of bars and restaurants in a row, plenty of shops and ice cream places for the kids. Granted, there’s some empty buildings, but plenty of others to choose from and barely going to ruin your holiday!
There’s also taxis constantly around or the hotel will ring you one to come in minutes. A water taxi is also down the road for around €5 into San Antonio. Lots of buses are also around which take you into the Old Town etc.
The entertainment on an evening was actually pretty funny and nice for the kids to boogie to, they really are trying their best, but probably is worth venturing out a little. There’s live music available in some of the local bars, or it’s definitely worth going to the sunset strip in San Antonio!
Overall I’d happily come back here, as it’s clean, the staff are friendly and we met lots of lovely guests too! Don’t be fooled by some of the reviews, I think some people expect far too much these days!
- Ani (8/5): - Loved my stay- the only problem was the mold in the shower room 405
- Giovanni (10/5): - Nel complesso è andato tutto bene il personale è stato molto gentile ad ogni richiesta , la colazione buona di ampia scelta, piscine buone lo consiglio
- Louise4415 (6/5): Hotel is okay, entertainment is NOT! - Arrived around midday & checked in, apartment was ready for us even though we’d arrived early. Apartments are basic but clean with everything you need. We were allocated a pool view (I’d emailed prior to arrival requesting this if possible). Hotel is looking a little tired in places and needs TLC but it is clean & pools are nice. Food was generally quite good and we ate there 6 out of the 7 nights. Drinks in the AI are fine & we took our own cups after reading that tip on here before we arrived. The entertainment was non existent & no kids club for the first 3 days & not much better for the final 4 days of the holiday. A schedule of entertainment was put up on the notice board but not followed so was useless really. We have made a complaint to Jet2 about the NO entertainment as we had children with us and this is why we booked here as they advertised to have it!
- loisdY1816QM (8/5): Great 5 days away - I stayed here end of August for 5 days with my 12 year old and we had a fab time. Hotel is clean throughout and had a quick check in. The red carpet in the hotel side is rancid but did it bother us…NO! Food was good, standard all inclusive but always had something to eat. Breakfast and the Sunday lunch was my favourite. They have themed nights every day. Homemade soups every dinner time were lush! And the Sunday roast beef was my favourite! The kids section could be better as they had a few random things each day and should have plain pasta, nuggets etc there everyday. They have a snack bar from 11-6 every day with the best crisps. Also had burgers pizza chips onion rings and hotdogs on different days! Also ice cream and lolly’s.
Pools were fab and never cut our feet like others have mentioned!!!
The only downside was the entertainment team walked out not long ago and we had nothing!!!! no kids club, no day time and night time entertainment and we had to find other places to entertain ourselves but it is what it is. We still had an amazing time and would defo return… a brand new entertainment team started the day we was leaving so can’t judge them but had a fun full schedule for the week ahead. The hotel is being refurbed early next year and can’t wait to see it develop. See you again in the future!
- issy90 (6/5): Don't expect too much....,, - Had read a lot of reviews for this hotel and to be honest wasn't expecting much.
On arrival I had emailed and asked for a room overlooking the pool and it was granted. Check in was pretty swift and reception looked clean and tidy.
We chose a self catering apartment so we had extra space. Our room wasn't in the main block. First impressions the room looked clean but tired. Plenty of hangers and wardrobe space but some floor tiles was broken and the shower was desperate for an upgrade.
Breakfast was ok with a decent choice. There was never a problem getting a sun lounger around the pool and the bar staff were pleasant.
The street outside is a lot of shops and bars boarded up but there is plenty of bars and restaurants around.
Would I stay here again probably not to be honest
- Z2908MVjessies (6/5): Good - For a 3* not bad!! Get what you pay for! All inclusive was brilliant I highly recommend this if you have hungry and big appetite children or adults, lovely food no complaints, staff was friendly and helpful! No issues apart from no entertainment for 4 days due to the entertainer left, kids was bored, but by day 5 they brought new team in, decent pools and kids pool, lots of sun beds for all, apartment was small but only there to sleep always kept clean and tidy by cleaners, the red carpet that people bang on about! My mum and dad stayed in H side and they said you are not there for the carpet you are there for the holiday!! in coral and outside areas was spotless no litter anywhere even out on the street was spotless! Lots of bars and restaurants around and supermarkets and a tobacco shop, beach 15 min walk to the left of coral and 9 min walk to the right.. something for the kids to do (bouncy slides, trampolines soft play this was €5 per child), I also did my washing on holiday and if you do the same there is a laundromat 15 min walk to the right of coral opposite rumi’s gym, decent price and within the price includes washing detergent!!, to the left of coral turn left follow the road up left again (main road) there is another laundromat which doesn’t include detergent but also fairly priced
- leebC7307WJ (4/5): Disappointed - Stayed at coral star for a week in august and upon arrival couldn't help but notice how run down the resort and area where the hotel is located is. There is so many empty shops/restaurants .check in was fine and room was ready so it was early afternoon we thought we'd go get a drink and get our 15 year old involved in some of the entertainment advertised on jet2s website to make some friends and have some fun well that was that the entertainment was terrible day and night the guy would do 30mins in a morning water aerobics then pretty much disappear for the day either just sat on the sunbeds chatting to girls or just leave the hotel for the day literally there was a kids club open 10:30 till 12:30 but never saw a child in there because there was just 1 animation member and like I said he'd give Houdini a run for his money there was a mini disco on a night for 45 mins and a bingo for a bottle of wine but true to form a couple of nights he didn't turn up. The food at the hotel was fine never had any issues there plenty of sunbeds around so didn't need to reserve them. There is a hotel 10 minutes away with some waterslides which is what they class as a water park but priced at 35 euros per person please don't bother it was good but only 5 slides you are pretty much done in an hour not worth the money in my opinion just the hotel cashing in massively. I unfortunately won't be returning to this hotel or the resort itself for San Antonio bay it was surprisingly really quiet much livelier in San Antonio but it's at least 15 euros there and back each time .
- 549sheridans (10/5): Great Family Holiday - We had a great holiday as a family of 4. 2 adults in our 30s, a 13 year old and a 1 year old. We stayed from August 15th - 22nd.
STAFF
All the staff we encountered were really welcoming and friendly. I especially want to thank Paula in the restaurant for always putting a smile on our baby's face. She was really friendly and never failed to entertain our little girl. Thank you, Paula!
ROOM
We stayed in a studio apartment, room 113. This was great as it was close to the lift and overlooking the pool. Therefore, we could be in the room and the teenager in the pool and we could still keep an eye on him. We had 2 single beds next to each other, round the corner of the room, with the cot next to us. There was another single sofa bed in front of the tv for the teenager. There was a kitchenette with 2 hobs, kettle, toaster, sink, plates, bowls, cooking appliances and cutlery. This would be perfect for anyone not on all inclusive. We found the kettle ideal for boiling bottled water for the baby. I also packed a collapsable bucket and Milton sterilising fluid for sterilising the baby's bottles. (I'd recommend the tablets and not the liquid. Although the bottle was wrapped in a plastic bag, it somehow bleached a few pieces of clothing.)
The bathroom has a hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel. Although housekeeping come by most days, they don't always top up the shampoo, shower gel or toilet roll.
However, there is always a member of the housekeeping team about, I just asked them for some more and they even offered us clean towels too.
There was 1 night that was quite rainy and we woke up to bits of wall/paint on the balcony. This wasn't cleaned up, so was slightly concerned when the baby would venture onto the balcony. I should of probably asked housekeeping to sweep it, I just assumed they would do it when sweeping the room.
POOL
There are quite a few bad reviews with people's feet being cut on the tiles, I personally didn't see this. However, there was a few kids that had sore feet from walking to and from the pool while the floor was red hot. I'd suggest either wearing flipflops to the poolside or wearing aqua shoes for the pool. 1 child we met cut his feet in the pool but there was bits of grit at the bottom. I could only assume this is sand and broken seashells from the beach.
The splash park was great for the kids (and big kids). Our baby loved it, she had a blast, bless her. The last couple of days we were there, the bucket that fills with water and splashes down wasn't working. This was slightly disappointing but we at least got use of it at the beginning. This pool was substantially colder than the others but made it refreshing.
There are 2 bigger pools that get busy but not too excessively.
There's also a smaller childs pool by the splash park.
There's a sign in the lifts to warn of no inflatables in the pools unless needed to help those unable to swim. A few times, there were people on lilo's and rings but nothing was said. Our baby had a ring with a canopy to help sheild her from the sun. There was never a struggle to get her in there with or without it. Almost everyone we came across was really considerate and friendly.
Although people wait for access to sunbeds, there are plenty to go around. There were always plenty still stacked. They could just do with more parasols.
The men cleaning by the pools were really helpful too. I came down with the baby to get beds and a parasol and they helped me with them, which was really lovely and helpful of them. Thank you!
RESTAURANT
Breakfast was always the same. Cereals, churros, yogurts and fruit, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms, toast, bacon, sausages...Something for everyone. Plenty of options to choose from and you can have a variety over the time you're there.
Lunch and dinner were different every day with the same salad and fruit pieces. I'm the least fussy of eaters, so I was eager to try everything. My partner and teenager were a little more fussy. My partner always managed to make a lovely looking salad with what they had and the teenager always ended up with chips.
The kids' corner was a hit and miss. There were only usually 2 options, chips or pasta were always the main option there.
The mousse was always a winner with the baby. Whenever we bought one to the table, her eyes would widen and she would get really excited (I'm having to start making mousse at home now).
There's always a lot of sweets too which the teenager went to every day.
The drinks seemed to run out quite quickly but, unless you make the staff aware, they won't be refilled. There were a numerous amount of people wanting to get a drink but just went for another option without informing a member of staff.
SNACK BAR
This was GREAT!! Open from 11am until 5:30pm (even though the sign says 6pm).
Every day there was an option to have pizza, chips, crisps, ice creams, ice lollies. Then, every day would be a different extra, either burgers, onion rings, hotdogs or chicken tenders. The pizza was a firm favourite with all of us, especially the baby. The lady who seemed to run that section was lovely and friendly, thank you!
BAR
All inclusive drinks were available from 11am until 11pm.
We didn't use the bar much as the drinks we wanted were on a self serve machine. The odd time we did use the bar, the staff were friendly and let you refill your own cups. There is a €1 charge for their cups that are pretty small. I read a review suggesting to bring a stanley cup or equivalent to use instead which we did. However, the cups we bought were really big, so they warmed up quickly. I'd suggest an actual insulated cup that can keep your drinks cooler for longer.
ENTERTAINMENT
This was non-existent for us at the beginning. As we were used to not having any entertainment, we went out to explore the surrounding areas. The last couple of days, we came back to some sort of entertainment that we were missing out on. I wish we would have known about this before we went out. It would have been nice to know what was happening.
NEARBY
As my partner is into his football, there were 2 games he wanted to watch. We went to a local bar that had both games on. There were quite a few local bars and restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance.
There are a few reviews saying about derelict buildings outside the hotel. Yes, there is the odd one but, nothing to what I expected.
If you want to buy essentials when you get there, rather than bring them with you. There's a supermarket directly opposite the hotel with everything you may possibly need, from nappies to poolside inflatables and more...
We took a long walk one night, just followed the path down past all the shops and bars. There were plenty of options if you wanted to eat out or go out for a drink.
The closest beach is very rocky, great for a sunset but not for chilling. There's a sandy beach about 10-15mins from the hotel. Turn right when leaving the hotel and walk down, the beach will be on the left hand side. The sea isn't very clear but was a great experience with the baby for the first time. There's a couple of bars there too if you fancied a beverage while chilling on the beach.
OVERALL
Ignore the bad reviews. I think people expect too much from a 3* hotel. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Taking the bad reviews into consideration, I was pleased with the stay here. Yes, it could do with a refurb, which apparently is happening next year. However, this did not ruin our experience in the slightest.
We always managed to find something to eat and drink. The kids had a great time, which was our main priority. When they have a good time, so do we.
Thanks again to everyone who made our holiday, you were all great. Keep up the good work.
- samjX1779FB (2/5): ⸻ Worst Hotel Experience – Coral Star (aka “Fawlty Towers: The Sequel”) - ⸻
Worst Hotel Experience – Coral Star (aka “Fawlty Towers: The Sequel”)
We just spent 5 days at Coral Star, and honestly, I think I aged about 10 years in that time. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to live in a parody of a holiday from hell, this is the place for you.
Check-In & First Impressions
Charlotte at reception was lovely — friendly, professional, and the kind of person who gives you false hope that everything will be fine. Spoiler: it won’t. Charlotte is the lone star in Coral Star.
Rooms
The rooms were so dated I half-expected to find a VHS player and a copy of Jurassic Park on the bedside table. The floor tiles were cracked, which added a thrilling “walk carefully or lose a toe” vibe. Air conditioning? More like warm wheeze machine. And apparently, in this hotel, “fresh sheets” are reserved for VIPs, because our beds weren’t changed once in 5 days. At this point, we weren’t sleeping — we were marinating.
Pool & Communal Areas
The pool looked like it was filled with the tears of previous guests. Murky, small, and about as inviting as a swamp. The loungers had clearly seen battles… and lost. The nearby eating area was loud, sticky, and chaotic — imagine a school cafeteria, but with less charm.
Food & Dining Experience
We tried breakfast once. Big mistake. There was no cutlery, the tables were still wearing last night’s food stains, and the buffet looked like it had given up on life. To top it all off, there was a family behind us openly crying into their cornflakes — honestly, the most relatable thing we saw during the entire trip. We decided then and there to eat every other meal outside the hotel, even though we’d already paid for the privilege of… well, not eating here.
Bar Service
The bar staff must’ve all trained at the “Why Are You Talking To Me?” School of Hospitality. Every request felt like we were ruining their day. I asked for a drink and was met with a glare so intense I’m pretty sure it took a year off my life. Zero warmth, zero friendliness, and zero reason to ever return.
Staff & Customer Service
Apart from Charlotte (bless her), the staff seemed to actively resent guests. At reception, if you didn’t wave your hand high enough, they’d bark at you across the desk like you were hailing a taxi. One low point: I was shouted at for not wearing my wristband. I explained it had fallen off but showed them it was in my bag — still, they loudly ordered me to go to reception, in front of everyone, like a schoolkid being sent to the headteacher. Nothing says “holiday vibes” like public humiliation.
Surroundings
Step outside the hotel and the disappointment continues. The area is run down, dirty, and genuinely depressing to walk through. It felt like the universe was in on the joke.
Overall Experience
We ended up pretending the hotel didn’t exist, going fully self-catering just to enjoy the island. Coral Star contributed nothing to our holiday except stress, second-hand embarrassment, and the unforgettable soundtrack of a family crying at breakfast.
Final Thoughts
Save yourself. Coral Star isn’t a holiday destination, it’s a test of endurance. The island itself is beautiful — just book literally anywhere else if you want to come back with your sanity intact.
- emmahE2092PE (6/5): Highly unlikely to return… - Stayed at Coral star from June 1st until June 8th with my 4 year old nephew and my mam… Check in was SLOWWW but the guy on reception was very friendly. Waited 4 hours for our room to be ready which wasn’t an issue we just went wondering round exploring the town.
Once we got the key to the room we waited around 5 minutes for the one lift in the apartment complex, the room was small and run down but looked clean. The bathroom was horrific. Our toilet wouldn’t flush, and the shower was sinking. We went to reception 4 times in the first two days to report our broken toilet but they told us there was nothing wrong with it. On the second day, the water in the toilet wouldn’t stop running as if it had constantly been flushed which kept us up all night. Food was lovely but as a fussy eater and my mam being severely allergic to seafood we had to eat our 3 nights out of 7 which isn’t ideal if you have paid for all inclusive.
The entertainment on a night was none existent but luckily we made friends either a couple of families so we kept ourselves entertained.
The bairn really enjoyed the holiday and if it wasn’t for the rundown rooms and rude staff we wouldn’t have anything to complain about.
In hindsight, if you look at the price you pay you are getting your moneys worth but next time I’d rather spend a little bit more for a better experience.
- laurengC720EX (8/5): Family holiday - Returned yesterday from a 7 night trip to the coral star.
On arrival we wasn't too sure the outside area is a bit run with loads of empty shops and a smashed up car next door... we checked by the friendly staff on reception, given our key to our hotel room and told where to go. Yes the 1st thing you notice is the disgusting red carpet but did it spoil our holiday NO!!
When we entered our room we noticed how small it was for 2 adults and a teen. Unfortunately the light above our daughter's bed was hanging off and the balcony door was broken. We went back down to reception and the man radioed to maintenence who said they would go up and look... so we went and had a drink in the bar.
Bar staff are fab... Isobel always has a smile on her face and is lovely.
Cups are 1€ but you exchange the cup every time you get a new drink. We also took our own cups that staff are happy to refill.
After we had finished our drinks we returned to our room and everything was fixed.
Food is good... as mentioned before there is a theme most nights and we always found something to eat. The snack bar is open 11am until 6pm and we really enjoyed the food from there too... chicken tenders on Sunday are a firm fav.
We never had a problem finding a sun bed.. there wasn't the mad 6am rush like we have experienced at other resorts and the pools are lovely.
We had a great holiday... yes it's not 4* but you are not paying 4* prices.
The hotel has a great supermarket over the road, lots of shops and restaurants if you walk down past the abandoned shops. And locals buses that take you to beautiful beaches and into town.
- georginacV9443SF (10/5): A pleasant stay - We have just arrived back here from a 10 day holiday, I was really put off by all the negative reviews so decided to stop reading them immediately before we went. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised reception was nice, modern & clean. Our room was a family apartment this was also clean and modern and fairly spacious for 5 people, we had a hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster . We had view of the pool which could be noisy while entertainment in the evening was on but most nights we were either out or down there so didn’t mind too much, we could also see the sea from our balcony which was nice. Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels, beds made and stocked with toilet roll. There is plenty to do around, pedlos down by playa Bella bar and restaurant they also run shows in the evening which is a short walk, plenty of shops and bars Vince’s bbq bar was amazing for the kids £5 euros for them to use the soft play trampolines and big inflatables for as long as they want, there was another bar with bouncy castle slides & small rides a few doors up.
The staff were nice always made an effort to wave and smile at my youngest daughter especially. The food was mostly good breakfast was ok the same but had plenty of variation if you don’t like the cooked there was fruit cereal yoghurt and churros. Themed dinner nights Mexican, Asian and various others. As a vegetarian who can be picky I found something most lunch & dinner times that I actually enjoyed which is unusual for me at an all inclusive. Everyone else generally enjoyed the food. The snack bar offered a good variety of standard food, crisps, ice cream, chips and then a special each day either onion rings, burger hot dogs or chicken.
Not really sure what all the negative reviews are about the hotel was always clean / being cleaned and staff were helpful ringing us taxis etc when needed or advising us on best routes. There was entertainment most days which was ok, kids enjoyed the evening face painting / mini disco. We got a sunbed everyday and there are plenty of pools and kids pools, one under cover which was handy for my baby. For a hotel that’s rated 2-3 star I couldn’t fault much and we had a good time, if you are super picky then pay extra and stay at a 4/5 star hotel and get a more premium selection of food & entertainment. We were a little away from the main areas but being with kids we didn’t mind & the bus was just up the road and costs €2.20 each way per person.
I’d seen a lot of reviews about an awful ‘red carpet’ but didn’t see this in our apartment so not sure if that’s only in the hotel and the rooms differ.
- carriecZ3635JL (6/5): Chilled but wont be returning! - The hotel room was very basic but the corridor carpet was absolutely disgusting, you couldn't walk along it with no shoes because you didn't know what you'd catch.
Other than this the staff we're lovely, food was great and there we're enough sunbeds for everyone. Ideal if you want a cheap basic holiday! We have decided we wont be returning.
- L1192HRmichellec (2/5): Avoid - If it wasnt for the weather it would of been awful. Place has no entertainment. Ive come home with bed bugs on my legs. No air con in the bars an as for the food it was vile. Who has cauliflower cheese boiled rice an fish fingers at an all inclusive hotel. I wouldnt go back to this hotel if it was payed for. Red carpets filthy. We over looked a laudry room. Safe to say we felt ripped off. Had to eat out most dsys.. glad to be home.
- gemmamI7626OL (6/5): Average hotel - The hotel was ok on first appearance but when we got to our room I was not very impressed with the dirty red stained carpet in the hallway it had definitely seen better days.
The room itself was clean and tidy with a street view from the balcony I was happy with this.
The linen was changed every 3 days but that’s where it stopped I left the label on the door to indicate we wanted the room cleaned and it never was we stayed for 10 days and it didn’t appear to have been cleaned in that time.
Food was good there was something to choose and most nights had a theme my child is fussy but always managed to find something she liked.
Disappointed in the lack of adult entertainment on a evening and what there was the same every night bingo, karaoke or a quiz night that said the 3 reps all worked very hard during both day and night time.
The life outside hotel was pretty quiet if you walked for 10-15 mins there are a few bars and shops but nothing major there isn’t a beach close by with sand it’s a very rocky area so was a little disappointed with this. We did walk to san Antonia which was a hours walk from the hotel to find the beach this was a lovely day out.
After speaking to hotel staff the hotel won’t be open next year as they are having a big refurb which I think is definitely needed to update it such a shame that a lot of places by the hotel were all shut sign of the times I suppose.
The staff were all very friendly and cheerful and nothing was too much hassle for them so I guess for a 3 star hotel it was ok.
I will be interested to see what it looks like once the refurb has taken place and look forward to seeing the results.
We had a lovely family holiday and met some great people.
- T2827WRclairen (8/5): Great little family holiday - We have just returned from a 7 night holiday here!
We stayed in the hotel part of the complex and were very happy with our room. We were located pool side on the ground floor which made it really handy for popping in and out while lounging round the pool!
The room was basic but clean, the room was cleaned daily and towels were changed daily!
The bed unfortunately was not very comfortable and we found it to be quite hard!
The hotel itself is large all staff were friendly and we were greeted at reception to very friendly staff, our room was not ready when we arrived in the morning but we were shown where to leave our luggage and were able to use all other facilities.
We had an all inclusive package.
The restaurant is never overly busy and we always found a place to sit, the food was nice and there is a daily menu which is available to view outside of the restaurant. I would say there could be better options for children, the children’s serving area was very sparse and some days only plain pasta available.
Staff in the restaurant work tirelessly and are all friendly.
Bar staff are friendly, soft drinks available on tap and all drinks are served in plastic cups. Handy hint if you bring your own drinking cups- Stanley etc you can fill these with drinks of your choice.
There were always sunbeds available round the pool and the large pools were never over crowded.
The animation team are all friendly and provide the usual quiz/bingo type events in the evening. During the day there are some activities around the pool and a mini club that is open daily.
Big up to Kim who went out of her way to get to know the guests stopping for chats and ensuring they are happy!
There is a supermarket opposite the hotel but this is very over priced!
The general area is a little run down with lots shut down buildings, but there are also lots of shops and restaurants within this!
Just a short walk to the beach where we hired Pedalos ! We also caught the bus into Ibiza town for the day!
We had a great week here over all
- helly146 (6/5): Very average stay for the money paid-wouldn’t return - We recently stopped at Coral Star and it was a very average stay for the following reasons and definitely wouldn’t return.
Negatives:
No free internet in the apartments despite advertised as having WiFi.
Our apartment situated next the lift and stairs very noisy and early in a morning all the cleaners would congregate talking very loudly with total disregard to people sleeping in their rooms. I came on holiday to sleep in and relax not to be woken early.
The plastic cups are far too small therefore backwards abs forwards for refill of drinks.
No evening entertainment apart from a mini disco for kids.
Food was good but not a massive choice and no children’s choice therefore my daughter had chips and rice every night. Breakfast was basic no potatoe products such as hash browns or option for omelettes same every day.
On a positive our room was clean and cleaned well. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food from the snack bar was really good could be more variety-Staff were lovely and worked hard. The pools were great and you could always get a sun lounger which was good.
- Relax67915396494 (6/5): Family trip - Nice holiday, ok hotel, wouldn't rush back. - Family of 5 in Hotel room (two inter connecting rooms) and three adults in an apartment room on all inclusive.
As is well documented, in the hotel, the corridors to the rooms have this manky red carpet. Why this has not been taken up and burnt I have no idea.
Other than that, reception staff efficient and friendly. Room, basic, on the small side but clean. Nice size shower room and good shower.
Nice pools, not huge though so when busy lost of balls being thrown/splasing not much room to actually swim. Although people queue up to put towels out at 09.00 you can still get a sunbed later in the day (some people just want the same beds, right by the pool every day!)
Good food, not a massive choice, but liked the diferant types (asian, indian, mexican, italian etc) each night. Everyone found something to eat every meal and it was all very nice. Kids choice not great but our kids are pretty fussy.
Good snack bar, with chips, crisps and pizza every day. There is then another option that changed each day, burger, Hot dog, onion rings and chicken nuggets.)
The plastic cups is a but naff but if you take your own glass (buy from shop opposite or take wine glass from resteraunt) they will fill these instead.
Few groups of lads and girs (expected in Ibiza close to the resort) which we noisey one night.
For some reason, just didnt feel 100% safe there, we had a towel go missing, another family had a kids swimming aid go missing and felt like we really had to watch our stuff.
Location was ok, as you can easily walk to small beach and a short stroll to see the sunset and the outdoor theatre area.
Had a nice time but if we went back to Ibiza i think we would find another hotel.
- Nwilson15 (6/5): Get what you pay for - Nice looking hotel very basic, but I will not return based on getting covered in bed bug bites this was probably the worst part of the stay.
- Jet16066649821 (8/5): Good family orientated hotel - Cannot fault this hotel
Breakfast was fab
Yes the carpets on corridors definitely need an upgrade but apart from that we cannot complain
- kirsty-lou21 (8/5): Lovely holiday - Stayed as a family with Child age 5. Hotel basic but clean. Maids/ground keeper all do a good job of keeping the place tidy and the restaurant staff work really hard and quick to clear tables. Themed food nights were a nice change, always included some kid friendly choices. Snack bar very good food.
Some of the hotel could do with a lick of paint here and there etc, obviously you get what you pay for so it is nothing fancy, just a clean basic hotel but perfect for a nice family holiday with a lovely pool area (a shame that the kids slides do not open until 11am - feel this should be a little earlier), good location.
One con is that in the evening the all inclusive drinks are still served in plastic cups - even the wine! Totally understandable during the day/ round the pool but in the evening feel they should allow glasses. No one wants to drink wine cocktails etc out of a plastic cup!
Overall a lovely stay. Perfect for a holiday on a budget.
- shannonbL8774GV (2/5): This hotel just doesn't care - AVOID AVOID AVOID
Worst holiday in nearly 30 years of my life
Food was bearable and edible
Leaky shower nearly snapped neck getting out of shower
Stinking mattress with sick on
Childrens splash Park... CRACKED TILES IN POOL CHILD SLICED TOE MORE THAN ONE
Lifeguards do not keep a record of who they have treated and it is dangerous! Still not been fixed check previous reviews from other people.... This place needs shut down!
Please don't book this hotel with children!
Jet 2 also no help and just fobbed us off
- Kazmacker (4/5): Basic hotel need new carpets they were filthy like a nightclub cheap jet2 need to re star this as defo not 3 star!! - This hotel was very dated and needs a revamp really. The room wasn’t ready when we got there so as soon as it was we went up. The double bed looked more like a small double so if you are of larger size be no good! We asked to move to a bigger room so we went to look and we were happy with the move. The room was like a completely different hotel. Breakfast was average not as good as others. Yoghurt was warm and too near the hot plate although I did notice it had been moved towards the end of our holiday so maybe someone else mentioned this.
Food from pool side bar was lovely chips , burgers etc.
Staff were lovely everywhere in the hotel very helpful.
Shame the entertainment staff only started a few days ago as not much going on around the hotel otherwise.
At night it was very loud twice I had to contact reception to tell them. Drunk people banging being sick, hanging off balconies etc. not good at 2/3 in the morning. Strong smell of weed in various places .
The walk to San Antonio was ok for us 50 mins) but kids maybe not. I’m afraid we wouldn’t go back there again but defo the other side of Ibiza.
It seemed hotel to be like a few nights binge drinking stop as the room changes seemed frequent .
Think
- bernieb608 (6/5): Disappointing - We have just returned (29th July) from a 9 night stay at the Coral Star, we were a family of seven in total, 4 adults and 3 children, staying in 2 apartments. We arrived at the hotel at about 12:15pm, and were told that the rooms weren’t ready but that we could use the restaurant that opened at 12:30pm.
First impressions of the hotel was that it was very basic but ok.
Restaurant seemed on the small side with the tables very close together, food looked decent enough, not a huge choice of food on offer but enough for us all to be able to choose something satisfactory.
Rooms were very disappointing, not just because they were basic, but because they were in very poor condition.
One of our bathrooms had cracked tiles both on the floor and the
walls, and the other had very nasty smell with a leaking shower, meaning the floor was soaking wet after showering, neither bathrooms had a window nor an extractor fan. The leaking shower was reported, a man was sent straight up and all he did was basically stick what looked like gaffer tape around the drain hole !!!! This did not work.
Toilet rolls were rarely replaced, when they did bother to leave them, we actually got rolls that were only half full !!!
Beds were made up on arrival, but the sheets were not changed during the 9 night that we stayed there, the beds were only actually made 4 times during the entire stay, we made them ourselves the rest of the time.
Towels were not replaced daily, we had to ask the maids for them on one occasion and also had to request fresh towels on two occasions from the reception.
Patio/balcony was in a bad state of repair too with paint all cracked and peeling and door handles missing.
Staff… restaurant staff were great, big shout out to Paula who our 7 year old grandson practiced his Spanish on, on a daily basis, she was amazing with him. The bar staff were great too, especially Isabel who was always chatty and smiling.
The pool area is good, plenty of sun beds and parasols, 2 decent sized pools and a splash park for the smaller ones, this can be very slippery underfoot though.
Despite all the faults within the hotel, we did enjoy the holiday, simply because of spending our time together as a family but I don’t think that we will be returning in the future.
- billyjayi (6/5): Broken pool tiles dirty carpets not recommended for family's - On arrival the hotel staff was brilliant, the food wasn't the best on some nights but mostly ok.
The pools had broken tiles on the floor but it was clean.
The hotel corridor to the room was disgusting felt like a pub old red carpets with stained floors.
Our room bed sheets was never changed the same one all week with brown stains. The room was okay basic and small.
The maids never left any toilet roll or towels only left two when there was three of us.
Restaurant staff was nice expect one lady she loved to bash plates down. Very aggressively
Table was never left for family's it was either for 2 people or 5 people on bigger tables
**Tips**
Bring a Stanley cup or similar you can fill these up at the bar (all inclusive)
- thomasjS8025TH (10/5): - We were a little apprehensive, we normally go 4/5 star but wanted a cheap getaway...we absolutely loved it. ABSOLUTE BARGAIN. hotel and rooms clean, all the staff incredibly welcoming and helpful. we were in a room facing the road, read other reviews mentioning this was an issue, but as it's a one way street there is no build up of traffic etc.. no problem whatsoever.
We rented a fridge 5 euros a night, didn't begrudge them this as it was so cheap with the free child place. aircon was free and AMAZING, woke up freezing in Ibiza:)
place itself is reassuringly small, didnt have to queue 90% of the time for all inclusive drinks, no fighting over sunbeds, pool(s) perfect for adults and kids.
Now the food, absolutely first class, for the star of the hotel we were dreading it as we have been bitten before, good breakfast every day and then every lunch and dinner menu was different for the whole 7 days, spanish, mexican, chinese, indian, all sorts to keep every body happy all perfectly cooked no dickie tummies at all.
The staff doing the entertainment were excellent both during the day in the pool/with the kids, and at night, Dunia (sp?) was amazing, really lovely, even came in to say hi on her day off.
Went with jet2, transfer dropped us at the bus stop about 40m up the road from the hotel, no drama, we got a taxi back to the airport for 30 euros as we didnt want to stand in the heat and wait in a 35 minute window for the transfer pickup at the end, not the hotels fault!
We couldn't get a late checkout as they were fully booked but they have a room to put the cases in and let us book time in a shower room, at no charge, to change after a day in the pool to get ready to travel , even provided us towels.
Lots of stuff within a very short walk, we had a lovely chinese at the Double Dragon, dont let the fact that its empty and the owner is incredibly grumpy put you off its first class chinese food.
Could not recommend this more, we stayed in the hotel side not the apartments, our side was amazing. ( apart from the carpets in the hallways that look like a cross between the ones from the shining and trainspotting:) )
- gwionp (8/5): Everything was good the location of the hotel is in a very nice area but not too far from the San Antonio strip - The rooms were very nice and clean, the food was good with something different for dinner every night. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially Dunia who gave us very good recommendations on restaurants and beaches that weren’t too far away. The entertainment during the evening was good as it was something different every night.
- Z3632LFirenem (6/5): Hot - This hotel is ok for families we have travelled all around the globe
Positives
It has two swimming pools with three small baby pools and a little splash park, snack bar open from 11am as is the pool bar, bring drinks containers as they will fill alcohol of cold drinks to the brim or buy a cup for a euro and return for a fresh cup and drink each time. Food in restaurant themed each night and a small kids area
Negatives
Life guards on their phones ( I know expectation is watch your own children)
No adult evening entertainment face painting at 8.30pm for kids and a mini disco.
Ask for a room overlooking the pool not roadside as its noisy.
Supermarket just outside front door sells everything.
Plenty of bars within waking distance.
Beach close by use the water taxi over the bay they run every 30 minutes.
They have water sports nearby such as paddle boarding, jet ski hire and pedalos
Hotel staff are lovely
- hannah (6/5): - Friendly helpful staff.
- 974julieannm (10/5): Hotel was amazing - I read so many bad comments and did begin to panic before we went away. However we had the best holiday. The hotel was spotless, the drinks and food was all lovely.
We had a gluten free child with us and the staff couldn't do enough to make sure she ate at every meal time.
The chef even brought it to the table sometimes. My daughter had a birthday when we were there, she was wearing a birthday banner, the staff all brought a cake and candles out to the table and sang to her without us even asking for this.
The bar staff were lovely and never had to queue to get drinks. The blonde girl who does entertainment was amazing and always happy and energetic. The hotel is close to shops, bars, and restaurants and easy to get a taxi boat over to San antonio which was lovely to see the sunset.
This really was a great place to stay.
Thank you for everything
- Zipora (2/5): - The location is terrible. The carpets everywhere are dirty , not just old. AC in room sounds like tractor. No bellman. No service. No parking. The manager was rude.. WiFi not existed. NEVER STAY THERE
- dbtat2018 (8/5): (Turned out to be) A lovely holiday! - What started as a disappointing arrival turned into a really lovely holiday. We were initially ready to leave just 2.5 hours after checking in, but after a room change and time to settle in, we genuinely enjoyed our stay.
First Impressions
Arriving tired after an early start, we were underwhelmed. The surrounding area felt run-down, and our first experience of the hotel—delayed check-in, a messy bar area, and a dated interior—left us questioning our choice. Our initial room was tiny, basic, and uninspiring, with stained carpets and little comfort. We even contacted Jet2 to switch hotels.
Room Change
Thankfully, we were moved to a top-floor room with a spacious layout and double balcony—it was like a different hotel. This completely changed our perspective.
Pool & Facilities
The pool areas are the highlight here—clean, well-designed, and perfect for families. Our 5-year-old loved the shallow pools, splash park, and independence the layout gave her.
Food
Food exceeded expectations. Breakfast and lunch were varied and plentiful, with a convenient snack bar. Dinner was good too, although outdoor seating was only available in the mornings. Don’t rely on the menu boards—better to just go in and explore.
Entertainment
The animation team was fantastic with kids. Our daughter adored the mini club, splash park games, and nightly mini disco (though the music was repetitive). The team were friendly and engaging—she wanted to go every day. Although there is a lack of evening entertainment for adults, this didn’t impact us.
Overall
Despite a rocky start, we left with great memories. The hotel has huge potential, especially with the planned refurbishment. If you can look past first impressions, the pools, food, and friendly staff make for a great family stay
- Gino (10/5): - Tutto molto bello, personale cordiale e molto pulito
- helennL3768SQ (10/5): Brilliant place this is our 3rd year in a row - Brilliant place very central and lots to do in walking distance lovely wee cove down by the spar kids loved jumping in the water even steps to get in and out And only 5 min walk from the hotel staff amazing David and Isabela from the bar have been there since our first year look after us well the reception staff and snack bar and cleaners are great the others names are hard to pronounce Aimee from the entertainment was brilliant with the kids to all the guest where so friendly and got on well with each other
I would say ask for a pool view
As street is a bit noisy
- Mackenzie (8/5): - Staff was wonderful! Overall the stay was great, but it could use better cleaning. The hallway carpet is quite gross looking, and the bathroom wasnt completely clean when we entered. Nice location, nice staff, and sheets and bedding was clean.
- Craftygail (8/5): Friendly hotel and Apartments Coral Star - Great friendly hotel/apartments a little dated but nice and clean.
Staff are really good Amy the entertainer (not the correct spelling) was fantastic and really enthusiastic but alas was let go but she was great no one had a bad word to say about her. That will be the hotels loss I'm afraid the holiday makers loved her.
Food pretty good but need to do more for kids as not alot of choice for them. The snack bar was brilliant hotdogs pizza burgers chips chicken tenders all on different days plus ice cream and chips.
Rosa on the desk was really nice and helpful and so funny
I am gonna come back after the refurb has been done which I hope will be sooner rather than later.
- Monica (8/5): - Personale gentilissimo e sempre disponibile! Nonostante il mio spagnolo non fosse per niente eccellente sono riusciti a capirci e aiutarci nel migliore dei modi.
- Thomas (8/5): - Ottima pulizia
- georgeaL5163OK (6/5): Coral star - The room was clean but very very humble ,no chair in the room to put makeup on relax etc ,food was really good however staff weren't friendly or jovial what so ever ,very miserable .
Poor entertainment, unless you like bingo, karaoke, odd quiz.
- Catherine (8/5): - Comfortable stay.
- 257danielleg (10/5): Great 3* - The hotel is what it is 3*. I’m not sure what people expect when you book a cheap and cheerful.
Maybe we don’t have high standards, but we were happy with our stay. Granted parts of the hotel, as with most of the island by all accounts, are in need of a bit of TLC, but our room was clean and spacious (studio apartment, pool facing) The food was great for 3* we always found something! The staff were all friendly and helpful. Special mention to the girls who ran the activities and Bruno on reception. We would return. It suited us and our family.
- LashofSnow (8/5): First time in Ibiza - This was my first time on the island & we had went on an all-inclusive package holiday. The transfer from the airport was fine but on route to the hotel you can notice the island is dated & a bit run down.
The hotel itself we had no issue with, staff where all friendly especially the women, the male staff not as much, I tend to eat everything so I was well catered to with dinner each night & the theme nights - my partner & step-son are picky eaters but always managed to eat.
The snack bar we loved, again its not gourmet food but its perfect when your at the pool & we made us off it every day.
The famous carpet we did think was a bad choice honestly, its so ran down & dirty when the rest of the hotel was well kept.
Our room was always kept clean & tidy by the staff. I agree with another reviewer in that there's nowhere to put cases etc however we put a big case in the top of the wardrobes & the child preferred to "live out" of his.
The all-inclusive drinks where plentiful & watered down but that's to be expected as there was no limit on how many you could have.
The snacks & drinks from the vending machines where always warm which wasn't ideal & not exactly cheap either at nearly €3 an item, silly price - most of the time we went to the pizzeria directly in front of the hotel for ice cold drinks for the night after the bar closed.
The pizzeria in front of the hotel is also fantastic & friendly - give it a go as well as CLAB Pizza down the road to the left a little.
The pool area was grand for us, no issue getting sunbeds & we all enjoyed the pool for hours a day! The showers in the room by the way are fantastic & such strong pressure.
For my first time in Ibiza, my partners 4th & the child's first foreign sun holiday it suited us perfectly.
We would come back purely on the female waiting staff in the restaurant & the 2 girls that did the entertainment - they were never miserable & done the absolute best with what they had.
The area as a whole needs some investment & redevelopment 👌
- BeccaLG14 (4/5): We wouldnt return - We arrived 9th June, for a week. What can i say?! Alot tbh! Passed so many stunning hotels on the way to our hotel, then we pulled up outside Coral Star. My heart sunk and i thought to myself omg. It looks run down, shabby and scruffy. Walked in Reception was bright, clean and nice. Reception staff lovely also. Anyway got to our room, very small. Bathroom was lovely, shower amazing. Pool veiw too.
The beds, my god you would have a better sleep on the floor. The beds are rock hard, so uncomfortable. I could feel the springs. And the long pillows are a no from me!!
The hotel is very dated. The famous red carpet in most of the reviews is hideous and bloody filthy!!!
The food...... i read the reviews on the food and i thought it cant be that bad surely. Well it was that bad!! No choice, not even hot, dont know about you but i like my meals hot. Or warm atleast. Every night was themed, which isnt what kids want. And this is ment to be a family hotel. My son is 8 and he struggled. They do have a childrens corner for food. One night all they had was cold plain spagetti and pizza!! Another night no word of a lie half sausages and carrots. I laughed because i couldnt believe my eyes. We were all inclusive for a week 5 nights of that week we had to eat out because the food was awful. Breakfast is the only meal time i cant complain about.
There is a pool snack bar that does chips & pizza daily and then hotdogs and burgers on other days. That was a saving grace for us because other wise we wouldnt of eaten from breakfast until we went out in the night as even the lunch menu wasnt up to much.
Pool area lovely. Although one day there was a fag butt and bits floating about. Splash park nice. Could do with a clean and some paint but kids loved it. You will struggle to get an umbrella if you dont go down to the pool early. Beds and umbrellas go quickly. Not enough unbrellas to go around.
Entertainment, there isnt any. Ive never known a hotel not to do shows at night.
They have a mini disco for children then its a quiz or kareoke every single night!! The nights were very boring for children we just went out instead as there is nothing else to do in the hotel.
Kids club, there is one but u never seen them do anything with the kids. They did come around one day and ask of we wanted to play pool or archery. Water polo for adults. You can see there is no budget for activity staff they do try their best.
Pool toilets- are the only toilets we seen in the whole hotel. accept the one in your room.
Staff, all lovely. Polite. Cleaners are always cleaning.
Outside the hotel, a very run down area lots of closed shops, pubs & bars, Burnt out cars etc There isnt much to do. Few nice places we had food, there is a pizza place outside the hotel the food was amazing!! Also further up the road is a pub called Jonnies bar food amazing! If the kids are bored and u need some peace lol theres a place called vinces bbq bar. They do food too, or u can just have a drink, they have inflatable slides and trampolines for kids.
There is a taxi boat to take you to San antonio, 5 euros each. Worth going over there for a few hours. Lots more that side of ibiza.
Would we come again a Huge NO.
We felt a bit let down, we regret booking this hotel and area. Wish we had looked more into it and done our research. Lesson learnt.
I feel like such a moaner. But this is a honest review.
- Scmckenzie89 (6/5): No to family's - yes to friends/couples - Just got home from a week here. This is very much so a 3☆ hotel.
Rooms - this is something we can barely fault. We had 2 rooms with adjoining doors, 1 room for our 3 kids, 1 for me and my partner. These were both typical abroad hotel rooms. Bed in the middle, dresser, sliding door wardrobe, with a safe available. bathroom with toilet, beday and a double head shower 🚿 and a balcony of decent size with table n chairs.
The air-conditioning was really strong.
Rooms were cleaned daily and ..to a verey good standard!
Only down fall was not having a fridge.
Staff-all reception staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They are happy to help with all enquiries and booking taxis etc...
Bar staff were polite but not very chatty or friendly which was a shame.
When you arrive you pay €1 per cup you need. This is swapped for tokens each evening that you are finished and you collect a new cup again each morning. When you order a drink they take the old cup and give another so drinks aren't mixed.
Entertainment-this was very minimal! Although the 2 girls that provided entertainment were beyond lovely!!!!
(Shout out to Eymi-we love you n miss you already)
A mini disco was put on at 8.30 each night, but only lasted 25-30 minutes. The "entertainment" at 9.30 was extremely basic, wether it be karaoke, bingo, or sangria making, some outside acts or more Staff could make all the difference
Food- the food was probably the biggest let down of the full holiday!!!! It was less than average!! There wasn't even basic chicken nuggets for kids!! The salad had a weird flavouring and meals just didn't look appealing at all!!
There wasn't overly a huge variety or selection, but just enough for us to get by.
The food at the snack bar was fairly decent but options are extremely limited.
Chips, pizza, crisps and ice cream are available daily. Fruit is supposed to be but was often unavailable
Then there was a rotation of burger, hotdogs, onion ring, or chicken tenders!
Location- it's not the worst place, enough basics around. Few bars, few restaurants. Kumharas is a 2 min walk away and a must to go watch the sunset... however we did also go down the street prior and up to a view point to watch the sunset also!!
The "cool cafe" is about a 10/15 mins walk n great for a stop off if you are walking down to san antonio!
Bam-bu-ku is also ion walking distance!!
There is several shops directly opposite the hotel. We found it to be rather quiet.
All in all I would say this hotel would be better for people who don't have kids, as towards the end of our holiday a lot more party goers and big drinkers were turning up!
- Tia (10/5): - Me and my son went on a last minute weekend away, Bruno and all the other staff were very helpful at reception. And although we werent able to extend check out, they accommodated us to use the facilities all day. Beds werent that great, but my son said they were fine so maybe its personal preference. Pool was lovely and clean. Ive seen lots of negative reviews about this place but we were happy and we will definitely be coming back!
- Stefano Pablo Reinoso (10/5): - .
- sp4nnersavfc1 (8/5): Excellent value - Clean, great food, nice pools, nice local shops.. Staff excellent, rooms superb... Recommend.. Not the Ritz but its 3* after all... Breakfast is amazing, and all meals exceptional 👍
- 924rosemaryf (2/5): Unhappy camper - The hotel is very basic, corridors are not cleaned, the bar staff are very rude only interested in chatting up young girls which needs to be addressed. Towels do not get changed. Very children friendly not for couples, this is our first time in Ibiza won’t be coming back
- chelley2025 (6/5): OK holiday - Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights check in was quick got to are room 324 unpacked then went to surprise are son who was there with his girlfriend and 2 kids it was about 10.15pm sat down having a talk . We decided to have a drink and was told the bar closes at 11pm dead on which it did wow not only that but then security came around stateing we had to be out off the lounge for 12 .never have we ever seen a bar close that early or not be able to relax in the lounge 🤔 The only thing was we wanted to hire a mobility scooter for 4 days only to be told it would be €150 on asking why the answer was it's that price not matter how many day's you want it which is a bit daft. We have been to other places and been able to hire for the day we needed 🤔 oh by the way room 324 is on the side facing a building which is not in use and you hear the a loud buzzing all nite🙄
- PupsMum (8/5): Brilliant for any age - Had a 4 day break here,age range 15-70
Rooms, no fridge which would have been good to have, air con good, beds decent, bathroom had what you needed, good shower pressure as well.decent storage.
Bar, good selection of drinks both all inclusive and to purchase, cocktails!! Machine made...plastic cups really spoil your drink but they have a policy there..buy a token get the red cup exchange for drinks, money back at end of holiday.
Pools were clean and two lifeguards on duty from 10am till 8pm..one pool seemed still water the other had a jet current
Vending machines in reception and toy machines around for kiddos to drive you mad for euros ( supermarkets opposite far cheaper)
Food, hot, really well presented ,good selection every mealtime, Sunday roast was amazing
Snack bar, good selection each day, crisps a bonus for all as well as fries, hot dogs, burgers etc changed daily.
Animation/Entertainment was good, kiddy disco, bingo karaoke night quiz etc, daytime changed notice board will keep you informed, in reception
Location is great for shops bars etc
Staff really happy to help, reception staff were so helpful with local information.
Yes it's 3* rating but the service was good, felt safe there .
Thanks for a lovely holiday
- Ste2011Mar (8/5): Lovely stay with one gripe - Arrived Saturday 31st May 2025 for a week's stay with my wife, daughter and two grandkids. We went with Jet2 and had a very smooth flight and transfer and we were happy with this. We got to the hotel at night and we were swiftly checked in. Parts of the hotel are dated and in need of modernisation but it's clean and well maintained. Our room was also a bit dated but was clean and a decent size. This is the major gripe, if you're on the front of the hotel or the left on the outside, you will experience noise problems. We were about 30 feet from the kitchen fans and they were loud at times overnight. We had another night where as well as this, a nearby hotel had music blasting out which kept us awake until late and our daughter's room was worse as she was at the front of the hotel and nearer to the music. Try to get a poolside room for a quieter stay. We went for breakfast the next day and it was Full English and Continental with cereals, breads and a good children's section. Lunches and the evening meals were a good selection and we never found a problem finding a nice plateful. The snack bar is very good with everything well cooked. There are two good size pools with attached children's pools and a covered separate third children's pool and a very good splash pool with buckets and slides. There is a single bar, near to the show bar, which is very well run and we never queued for long. Out of the hotel, there are plenty of nearby bars, restaurants and supermarkets and the bus service is cheap and rapid and it's easy to use to get into the centre of the resort as this hotel is near the end of the resort. I would stay here again but would try to get a quieter room. The hotel also has apartments which seemed a lot roomier and on a quieter side of the hotel. I feel a bit bad not giving it a 5 star rating but would have if the room was better placed. It's not for everyone as it's a bit dated in places and on the edge of the resort.
- Chazcollard (8/5): A great 3 star week in the sun. - You get what you pay for and make the most of what you have!
We stayed for a week in may half term as a family of 3, in a study room.
The room was basic with rock hard beds but was spotlessly clean, towels changed every day. However it was road side and really really noisy at night.
The food was what we expected from a 3 star buffet. There was a variety of meat, fish and desserts each day. Some better than others but all fine.
The snack bar was great for topping up a growing boy and the Ice creams went down a treat.
The kids club staff were amazing, the club was basic with a small soft play and a few toys but a good way to spend an hour out of the sun.
I can't comment on the adult entertainment as we didn't use it but all the staff we came across in the rest of the hotel were really friendly and helpful.
The pools were freezing but the kids splash pad with the slides was warmer and great fun. There is definitely sun bed wars that happen at 7am which is both annoying and hilarious to watch in equal measure.
The area is a mixed bag!
The sunset beach opposite the hotel was stunning to watch the sunset, and a pod of dolphins play that turned up one morning.
The water taxi to san Antonio was just up the road. ( well worth it for 5 euros each)
The bus stop close by got us to ibiza town in 45 minutes for 5 euros each and there is a park and beach in walking distance. The immediate area surrounding the hotel has lots of sad looking closed down properties but it doesn't feel unsafe at all.
All in all we absolutely loved ibiza and had a great family fun week in the sun on a budget.
- Jacob (10/5): - Good value for money, breakfast wasn’t the best but it was free. Inside the room was clean and cleaners came everyday. Good location. Pool was also great.
- 65nikh (8/5): Good week away all inclusive package - We arrived late but was made to feel welcome by Bruno in reception . We had room 124 and it had a double bed and a single bed and a nice bathroom. Yes the red carpet in the Hallway was a little stained but was cleaned daily as was the pool area . All the staff work hard and the room was clean. Amy and Dianna the ladies who did the entertainment were really good and there was things on daily both daytime and evenings , loved the water aerobics . The food in the hotel was good and personally I thought the choices were good with different themes daily. There was a deserted building next door but not the hotels fault , food places not too far away and the water taxi to San Antonio bay 10 mins walk and we also did a boat trip from there too . There is a nice bar to watch the sunset nearby too which is reasonably priced.
I would return here
- hannahm121 (6/5): Will not be returning to hotel or area - Just home from a week here with family so thought I’d give my honest opinion of the hotel and area….
Reading some of the other reviews on here and having just stayed I think some people are far too easily pleased when paying out hard earned money for this hotel- what we paid for this trip was in comparison to similar holidays for the same 3* rating has been so much better elsewhere!
Hotel - yes its basic generally spotlessly clean, food is ok- much less choice than I have ever had at any other all-in but what was on offer was always nice. Pool area is nice and easy to get sunbeds, bar drinks standand as most places and staff are pleasant. Snack bar has a good choice and the lady working in there is lovely!
You can get a water taxi across to San Antonio for €5 each which is nice, and good bus routes to get about to other areas from outside the hotel or the bus station in the town.
However, the absolutely disgusting red carpets in every corridor leading to the rooms-savage is an understatement and just why! makes you wonder what an earth you are walking into the first time you head to your room.
Beds aren’t the comfiest and if your room is facing the road it can be quite noisy.
No food/snacks available for late arrivals-even around 9.30 when we did and the dining room had only shut 30 mins before- and no I don’t believe you should have to go out spending ££ on food the moment you arrive on an all-in hol, we have always had snacks available at other hotels we’ve been to when arriving late.
Be prepared for the shutters at the bar to be closed at 11pm quicker than if you get a question wrong with Kiosk Kev! Lights are turned off when you’re sat there at 11.30 and security tells you your bedtime is at 12🤣. Not a particularly good first impression or welcoming when you have just arrived late.
Entertainment is pretty much zero day/evening, the girls who do it clearly have no budget so do what they can. Again I don’t think a you should have to find entertainment/have to ££ outside a hotel that offer all-in. Some families budget for their holiday and not for unnecessary/unexpected extras.
Be prepared to pay €5 to use a hotel towel if you want to freshen up before a late departure-and don’t want to use your pool towel thats covered in sun cream and sweat you’ve used all week.
The area itself is run down, derelict buildings all around and by far one of the most unappealing resort areas I’ve ever been to.
All in all we had an ok family holiday but no we wouldn’t return, but not just because of the hotel but due to the area as well.
We are lucky to holiday a few times a year so can compare this to others we have had as we always book within a similar budget to the same star standard of hotel- usually on the Spanish islands and often with Jet2- and up until now have not been disappointed- i don’t think this is good value for money compared to the other similar holidays we have had.
I spoke to the rep while there and said I felt the write up was misleading, and that more of the information you find out on arriving should be made clear so people can make better choices.
I’ve tried to be fair and upload pictures of some of the nice views which there definitely are, but also of the derelict buildings / burnt out cars etc right next and close to hotel- and generally shows the area in a nutshell including the main area of San Antonio
- Happiness12341182542 (6/5): Get what you pay for - Cheap and cheerful, so when I comment on the negatives here I’m not complaining as it’s what’s expected.
Date visited - 27th May 2025 (5 days)
Pros - Clean, very friendly staff, no queues for the bar or snack bar, splash park
Cons - Food selection
Overall well worth the money, I think 5 days all inclusive cost us just over 1k for a family of 4. 5 minute walk from reggae beach, 30 min walk or 10 min taxi to the other side of San Antonio. The rooms were nice and spacious and cleaned every day. The only thing I could find an issue with was the limited choice of food but I guess you get what you pay for. Not sure I would visit again but was worth the money for a last minute break
- Francesca (8/5): - Personale gentile e disponibile. Colazione abbondante, poca pulizia.
- 899louisaw (6/5): Got what we paid for in school holidays - Just back from Coral Star hotel. The hotel is clean, but very basic. Things were falling apart in the room. There was a red carpet in the hall. It was awful. With Stains all over it! We went self catering so can’t comment on the food. The pool area is small for the size of the hotel and there was never enough brollies. The staff were amazing and so helpful whenever we asked anything. The area around is run down. But there is loads going on about 5 mins up the road. All in all we got what we paid for!
- John (8/5): - Rooms were basic but clean, the food was good, staff were very friendly. The corridor carpets were not very good could do with being up graded
- Malik Taimoor (6/5): Not great - Far from main city not good experience rude staff
- joannef681 (10/5): Would come again - Sitting in the hotel lobby waiting to be picked up, had a great week here.
Arrived quite late at night, check in was a little slow, but not an issue, we were in the hotel side, room was basic, but clean and just what we needed, the room was cleaned everyday and we got fresh towels. I found the bed a little uncomfortable the 1st night, but got used to it.
The food was probably some of the best AI that we have had, always something to eat, and the staff in the restaurant are lovely and keep the place clean.
The snack bar and pool bar are great with lovely friendly staff. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, I would come back again. The only thing that I can find to complain about is the internet, but it’s good to switch off for a bit.
We asked for and got a late check out, was only 40€ to keep the room until 6
- Ana Jansz-van (8/5): - Simpel , maar schoon en netjes
- H1301IIlouisee (8/5): Perfect stay - This was my first trip to Ibiza. I can't commend the staff enough, for their attention. The place was immaculately clean and you could tell pride was taken in this. I will definitely be back. The reason i didn't give 5 stars, the beds are really really hard, which gave me cramp (I'm only 35). The food on food from the buffet is AMAZING. I am THE fussiest eater and found something every trip. All in all I will definitely be back. Thank you Coral Star 🌟
- H1442NOnatalied (8/5): 4 star, very happy. - We booked this hotel for a short break with friends as my husband was djing out in San Antonio. We didn't pay a lot for the hotel and flight, so wasn't expecting a lot. But when we arrived we was pleasantly surprised, the two pools were big and plenty of sun beds to go around. People around the pool were mixtures of families with children and groups of adults.
We booked bed and breakfast, the rooms was basic but clean. There was plenty of choices at breakfast and cappuccino was included, with pain au chocolate, so I was happy 🤣. The drinks at the bar were good value and good strength, staff friendly. I would definitely book this hotel again.
- O3495YClisas (10/5): Wonderful stay - Just come home from the hotel.
Cannot fault it in anyway.
It was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. I had previously broken my wrist and still wanted to go to the bar etc. I came with my husband, if he was asleep and I went to get a drink. Isabel and the gentleman both wanted to help by bringing a drink over (as I was one handed)
The lady at the snack bar was lovely and also very helpful. Shout out to the staff in the food hall for everything they done for all the holiday makers too. Speedy check in and check out. Thank you to the maids for our lovely clean room.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE , the gentleman who seemed to be in charge. I observed you twice moaning at a lady in the food hall and the guy behind the bar. I couldn't see what was wrong but I guess it's your job. However I would have kept this behind closed doors. The public don't want to see that, it was unprofessional. Also you should be proud of each and everyone of those wonderful people. So thank you wonderful people from myself and my husband for our stay. Lisa and Jason Pace x
- 998tomp (10/5): Value for money - Staff really do make this hotel they are so friendly and welcoming. It's a dated hotel but spotlessly clean, the beds are a little uncomfortable and food basic but i am not complaining for how much we payed. The hotel was still very busy and that's probably due to how popular it is. We had a 5 night stay for my sons first time abroad and he absolutely loved it. The staff were brilliant with him even when he kept getting up during breakfast and lunch lol. Would stay again. Thanks for giving us a great first family holiday.
Tom
- amiec306 (10/5): Clean friendly and brilliant food - Had the best holiday from start to finish.
I didn’t really read any reviews before going as I always believe in ‘try it for yourself’! Im pleased I did. There was 11 of us 4 adults with children from ages 6 to 16. I booked through jet 2, everything was brilliant from start to finish. Hotel is a short transfer from the airport. When we first got to the hotel, The reception area was beautiful. Check in was abit long going through things and some added extras to pay for including the tax and some tokens you need for all inclusive drinks glass that we didn’t know before arriving. We were situated in the apartments, although the rooms were basic they were very clean, with daily maid service. One maid I had daily was amazing and always went above and beyond. I’m gutted I didn’t get her name to leave a review for her.
No issues with sun beds we got one every morning and all 11 of us were together. Food was amazing and always something for everyone including the picky children. The little snack bar was brilliant for the kids and adults too!!! I have to give a big shout out to the lady behind the counter. I’m sure her name was Amanda. She was there everyday morning to night. She was very friendly and always went above and beyond for us, I told her each day what an amazing job she was doing cooking all the food herself and serving. She is a credit to the hotel.
Entertainment, to be honest I enjoyed it. Things going on throughout the day with pool activities, 8:30 kids disco starts, then most nights is a quiz, got a few wins in and got a bottle of wine. I feel like the hotel is missing like a live singer or some different entertainment. It did get abit Boring and repetitive. All inclusive finished at 11 and so did everything else. Even if all inclusive finished at 11 they should at least stay open abit later like most other places. 11 o’clock is to early especially when your on holiday and not wanting to take the kids out at that time of night going to different places. Overall though I would go back to this hotel. Friendly staff,Good food and clean. What more could you want.
- Jolanda (10/5): - Leuk personeel vooral voor de kinderen! Alles goed en netjes geregeld.
- Sofia (8/5): - El hotel está bien, pero no hay neveras en las habitaciones.
- Tommaso (10/5): - Consigliato!
- Daniele (6/5): - I gave 3 stars only because of the affordable price. Please change the carpet in the corridor it is filthy, unacceptable. As soon as I entered I felt like I was stepping back into the 80s, and at that time it wasn't even a quality hotel.
- Jogesh (10/5): - Quite area around hotel
- Leonardo (8/5): Hotel ibiza - Ottima e con molta scelta la colazione a buffet anche se sempre con le stesse cose,Carina e pulita la camera, albergo molto grande ,puo essere rumoroso .
- Marie (10/5): - The staff was lovely
- Verified traveler (10/5): Three star - Just perfect for short stay
- Christopher (8/5): Young and lively - This is a basic hotel with many younger clients who like to party. Don't be surprised if your neighbour plays music on the balcony at 3am in the morning!
- Zara (4/5): - Service for check in and check out was shocking. 40-50 min wait each time. Had to pay a deposit for a TV remote
- Terence (4/5): Ok hotel. But not great - Very dated hotel. Needs some money spending on it. Mould in the shower tray. Just generally old and needs an update
Swimming pool was freezing cold as well
