Small (8/5): Very comfortable place to stay but go elsewhere for meals. - The room was a comfortable and good size for two people. There was a small patio area in front of cottage that was very pleasant whenever the Sun was out.. The Breakfast that was advertised was disappointing with only packaged snack type food displayed. We went out for breakfast instead.

Also, liked our patio which was very conducive to sitting out there drinking a cup of tea. Not being able to say goodbye to Orion the Pomeranian when we checked out.
vickie (10/5): I would highly recommend this place! - Very clean and cozy. Fireplace was so nice and had access to a lot of firewood. All employees were very nice and the grab and go snacks and breakfasts were great! Very quiet and peaceful. Great location. Came to town to run the Big Sur marathon and the location to Monterey bus pick up for the race was very close by. I liked everything!

laurenb407 (10/5): Wonderful stay in a lovely cottage - We stayed three nights in January 2026. We booked a suite cottage because we have a toddler and wanted a separate living area and bedroom. The cottage was so lovely and spacious. The kitchen is decently outfitted. We lit the fireplace every day and it was so cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedroom got very dark - we slept great. There was plenty of room in the bedroom for the Pack and Play. Our cottage had two bathrooms which was nice when our friends (staying in another cottage) came over. The adults were able to stay up and play games in the common area after the kiddo went to sleep in the bedroom. The grab and go breakfast was actually very good, there were lots of options and we all got enough to eat. We didn't use the hot tub but it looked nice! The cottages are located right next to Asilomar in PG. It was an easy drive to downtown PG and to Monterey, and a super easy drive to the Spanish Bay golf course and Sticks restaurant. Our stay was lovely and we can't wait to return.

normajlee67 (10/5): Wonderful Ranch style cottages in the Woods - These cabins were GORGEOUS! We originally rented a 2 bd/2 bath cottage, however due to the recent storms, we were upgraded to the 5 bd/2.5 bath cottage at no extra charge and boy were we happily surprised!! It had room for at least 10 people if needed, with a huge backyard (ping pong table included), and the kitchen and living room were comfortable and HUGE. This cottage (Rancho Reposo) even had its own private parking that included 4 parking spaces in a gated area. In addition, Carrie was so nice to us - her customer service was excellent. And her little dog Orion was as welcoming, too. The staff here try to make your stay so comfortable by providing free breakfast and maintaining the cabin’s wood supply. The cabins were CLEAN and well taken care of. I’d definitely stay here again! Thank you Andril Staff!

19celineb (10/5): Exceptional Family & Staff at Andril Fireplace Cottages - Amazing Family & Staff at Andril Fireside Cottages For many years, our family has made it a tradition to reserve Rancho Reposo at Andril Fireside Cottages in Pacific Grove over Christmas. This beautiful five-bedroom home is perfect for accommodating our extended family and creates a truly special place to celebrate the holidays together. Kevin and Victor, the family owners, consistently go above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Over the years, they’ve helped us find a Christmas tree and even played Santa for our youngest children. This year, however, they truly exceeded all expectations. During a power outage on Christmas Eve (2025), Kevin generously lent us his personal generator for several hours so we could cook our turkey and prime rib. Just before Santa (Victor!) was scheduled to arrive, a true Christmas miracle happened—the power came back on to our side of the complex. Andril Fireside Cottages is more than just a beautiful location near Asilomar Beach—it’s a place run by an incredibly caring family who treats their guests like their own. We wholeheartedly recommend Andril Fireside Cottages to anyone looking for a memorable stay with exceptional hospitality.

SactoSue (10/5): The perfect Pacific Grove accommodation - We had an absolutely wonderful weekend staying at Andril Fireplace Cottages in PG. My parents used to come here in the early 1960’s when they were first married and soon after the Smith family’s first generation took over from Mr. Andril. So for Mom’s 85th bday I splurged on a 4-day reservation for one of the 2 queen bed units, not quite knowing what to expect since they’d never taken us kids. The 2nd and 3rd generations of Smiths and their team (hi Carrie!) offer an idyllic opportunity to enjoy modern amenities nestled in a bit of rustic charm, the privacy of your own cottage and also the most friendly and helpful front desk, all within a neighborhood of about 15-20 cottages. We enjoyed the fact that other people brought their dogs and that there’s a big communal grassy area for them to run around in, while also having our own private (fenced) outdoor patio. The location is about three driveways down from Asilomar which makes a walk to the beach (and a stop at the Asilomar lodge for a fancy coffee or game of pool) so convenient. There are units that can accommodate larger groups and I’m already talking my girlfriends into staying with the Smiths on our next getaway. Looks like I’m following my family’s tradition of equating great memories of Pacific Grove with the comforts and charm of Andril’s!

sj5457 (10/5): Loved Andril Cottages - We just spent 3 nights here in a king bedroom with kitchen . The place was perfect for my husband and me and our small dog. There is a grassy area to walk your dog and there is a private patio attached to the units. We used the charcoal BBQ provided on the patio one night. The hot tub is very nice to use and the proximity to the beach is ideal. We used the nice fireplace in the unit also. The unit was very clean upon arrival. Having the kitchen is a huge plus as we like to prepare some meals ourselves. The check in with Annabel was terrific. Very friendly and accommodated us checking in a little early. All in all we loved it here and hope to return on a future visit to the beautiful area. 👍🏻😀

We had a King suite which came with a kitchen, separate bedroom, living room, two bathrooms, and a yard which our dogs loved. The unit was very clean and management was pleasant. We loved the location close to Asilomar Beach. We would recommend a stay here.

onspithia (10/5): Another wonderful stay at Andril Fireplace Cottages! - This was our third stay at Andril and we will definitely come back. Stayed in a new room/cottage that was adorable. Loved the landscaping outside our room and around the entire property. Our cottage had a bedroom, kitchen and outside patio with a table and chairs where we had breakfast each morning. The kitchen had a full fridge and a small stove. Nice variety of breakfast items included with our stay in the lobby. Newspaper delivered to your front door every day. Great location in Pacific Grove. Short walk to the beautiful beach and trails at Spanish Bay or Asilomar.

carolyncN5264VY (10/5): Fun time with a large group - We had a birthday celebration weekend with 36 family members and it was a wonderful place to celebrate. The accommodations are wonderful and so is the staff. Snacks and beverages in the office all day. There is an outdoor seating area that accommodated us and there is a large grass area that anyone active enough can enjoy with multiple games...and, it's dog friendly. I love that it's so close to the beach (.5 miles) Be sure to book early for that number of people because they do have a lot of returning guests.

Robert (6/5): - While the staff were super helpful and the property itself was nice, there were a few issues that I encountered during my stay that would probably steer me away from booking a stay again. First the pluses: great staff. wonderful housekeeping team, EV charger for those traveling eco-consciously, and a very dog friendly environment ( nice lawn to exercise your dog, welcoming staff ). The downsides include that it's away from most restaurants and activities, the quality of the "take away breakfasts" were not great (mostly prepackaged items), the TV/DVD in the room never worked, internet service was spotty, there isn't a pool available (a hot tub is available ) and there was noise... a lot of noise. 1 family with 6 kids running around and screaming with little interaction from staff or parents. Not trying to be a curmudgeon, but this wasn't my idea of a relaxing quiet vacation.
Climber19885812255 (2/5): Unwelcome and Heart broken - My friends and I have been visiting your property for several years, and our annual trip has always been something we look forward to. However, our most recent experience was incredibly disappointing and left us quite heartbroken. We stayed for four nights and, as always, ensured that our cottage was left in excellent condition — cleaner than when we arrived. Throughout our stay, we paid premium rates and treated the property with respect, as we have done in previous years. At checkout, we were shocked to learn that we would not be welcome back next year. The young ladies at the front desk have always been kind and professional, but during checkout, we encountered a staff member whose approach felt unnecessarily unpleasant. We were told that our dogs were the cause of other dogs barking, yet nearly the entire property was filled with pets. What made this even more upsetting was being told that members of our own group had reported us — a statement my group has firmly denied. In the four nights and five days we were there, no one approached us with any concerns or complaints about our dogs’ behavior. The first and only time this was brought to our attention was at checkout, after we requested to make our reservation for next year. I fully understand that yours is a family-run business and respect the right to set policies. However, the way this situation was handled left us feeling unwelcome and unfairly judged. Hospitality should make guests feel comfortable and valued, and sadly, this experience fell short of that.
Navigator44802341223 (10/5): Always the First Choice on Where to Stay in Pacific Grove/Asilomar Beach - Over the years we've visited Pacific Grove, we tried staying at many of the motels close to Asilomar Beach and although some were more modern in their interiors compared to Andril Fireplace Cottages, we found the service, location and accommodations at Andril superior to the other places. In this most recent visit, I went by myself and stayed at one of the cottages which was just right for what I wanted. Very comfortable bed, convenient kitchen, a desk (!!!), good chairs for reading/relaxing/watching TV at night, good maintenance people. The staff was excellent in providing attention and promptly helping when there was any need. Carrie at the front desk (along with her adorable Pomeranian O'Reilly) went above and beyond. Will be back....once again!
Loscore (10/5): Loved our stay here! Will return. - Our cottage was nicely furnished with ample drawers and storage for all of our things. The decor was simple but very pleasant with prints of local scenes on the walls. The bathroom was white, which I love because you can tell how clean it was. The dishes, microwave, fridge, and other amenities in the room made for a very easy and pleasant stay. The grounds were beautiful with interesting things to see everywhere. We enjoyed the nice hot tub and the ping pong table. The staff was very nice and made us feel welcome. There were free snacks available, plus a nice simple free grab and go breakfast. Our room was cleaned every day and looked so nice with extra touches, like placing our child's stuffed toys on the bed against the pillows. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, and we also very much enjoyed the love seat for watching tv or reading the local paper, which was delivered outside our room every morning. I could keep going but you get the picture. I truthfully have nothing negative to say. We absolutely loved our stay and will return for sure. Absolutely nothing.

Would stay more often but there is a 4 day minimum most of the year. Most of the breakfast items are snacks but did have yogurt and hard boiled eggs . Hot tub is quite small considering how many rooms there are . Grounds are well kept .

J4646VDmichaelk (10/5): Comfortable hotel ideal for a relaxing stay - This is not a luxury hotel, but we had a family reunion requiring multiple bedrooms. This hotel met and exceeded our expectation. We stayed at the Rancho Reposo suite and a large living room greeted us upon entry. The coded keypad entry also made it convenient for everyone to gain access to the room. Each room comes with one king size or two beds, but is kind of cramped. The large private front yard comes with BBQ pits and picnic tables and benches. The picnic tables and benches being exposed to the elements were dusty and had some bird droppings but the maintenance guy came quickly to clean it up after we called the lobby. A bench placed at one corner of the yard provided a great setting for family pictures. Continental breakfasts are offered in the office lobby. Along the way to the lobby is a huge communal lawn area with benches and decorated with huge rocking chairs, wooden soldiers, etc. that our grandchildren enjoyed very much. The private driveway to the suite has 4 parking spaces and ample places along the road for overflow parking. It only takes 10 minute to walk from the hotel to Asilomar State Beach. Also the staffs from the cleaning ladies to the receptionist at the lobby were friendly and nice.
Carolyn (10/5): - I stayed 4 nights with my dog and I loved the property with a summer camp feel to it. Grassy areas and outdoor ping pong and seating areas. The staff was super nice and there are help yourself snacks in the office. You can walk to the ocean in 10 minutes and it’s beautiful! The only problem I had was being in room 23 which is not a separate cottage. My next door neighbor clomped around so loudly it sounded like it was overhead. I complained about the noise but was advised I should’ve realized I’d selected a motel type room and not a separate cottage. It never occurred to me I’d have to put up with noise for $300 a night + pet fee. As a gesture, they refunded my pet fee which was nice. I opted not to move to a cottage for $50 extra per night as it was an upstairs unit. The noise continued the remaining 3 nights.

Ashley (10/5): Quiet, Friendly, and Very Comfortable - This is our second time staying in Andril Fireplace Cottages, and we had a wonderful time. The woman who runs the office was incredibly helpful, and, when she found out I couldn't eat gluten, she took the time to list all of the best gluten free restaurants in the area. The cottage was spacious, quiet, clean, and very comfortable, with a kitchen, a gas fireplace, and a private patio. We loved that you could borrow movies on Blu-ray from the office to watch in the room (and enjoy with a bag of microwave popcorn in your room). They also have a variety of free snacks available. The cottages are located within walking distance of Asilomar State Beach, which is beautiful, and a wonderful place to go tidepooling.

Set outside and enjoyed each other and the area. Used the hot tub. Enjoyed the simple breakfast and snacks. Could visit Point Lobos, Big Sur, Monterey, Aquarium , beautiful drives in the area, Caramel by the Sea area, and much more. We cheated ourselves only spending 3 1/2 days there.
