Guest Reviews
- Abel (10/5): - Parents loved EVERYTHING!! They will definitely be booking this hotel for their next trip to Cancun.
- Esther (8/5): - We stayed at the resort for our honeymoon trip. Jose in guest services was amazing, he secured us dinner reservations for the first day even though everything was booked out when we arrived. Honestly, all the staff were great and they try their best to keep the resort clean and the seagrass cleared. The activities they had were great we had alot of fun with archery, dance lessons and aquagym and the evening shows at 9pm were pretty good.
One issue we had was just trying to get water we don’t drink much alcohol, and when we asked for water instead, it sometimes felt like a hassle or like we were being dismissed, which made us uncomfortable many times we had to ask several times before getting water but whenever we asked for alcohol drink we received pretty quick.
Another issue was being pushed into a timeshare presentation without really being told what it was. We were sent to the front desk, then told to have breakfast with someone even though we said we already ate. They said it would take one hour being, naive and not wanting to be rude we agreed but it dragged to 3 hours lost patience and ended it myself didn't even want the massage they offered and just threw the coupon away. Just be aware of being talked into these presentations.
Overall, we would return — maybe just bringing our own water next time. If you’re looking for a beach resort, this might not be it, but they can help you book an excursion to Isla Mujeres, which gave us the one perfect beach day we wanted.
- Jeanette (6/5): - The adult pool closes earlier than the family pool & was very boring compared to the family pool.
- Jeremiah (4/5): - We went to this resort for our honeymoon and had a good time, but some things could have been better. Upon our arrival we were told we would likely get a honeymoon suite and a package sent to our room, I wasn't expecting to get anything extra, so this was a nice surprise. However, neither of these things ended up happening, which was a bit disappointing. The first thing you will notice about the property is the seaweed at the beach. I know there is nothing the property can do about this, however it does impact the experience greatly as the beach is totally unusable. There is a smell from the seaweed across the whole property, we slowly got used to it but were certainly still noticing it on our last day. You also get charged an extra fee for "seaweed removal". We never saw any seaweed get removed. The staff was overall friendly and helpful. However part of their job is clearly to upsell you on extra experiences and excursions, which is a large pet peeve of mine. No staff member was overbearing or rude about it, I just don't want to be constantly getting sold to or be getting calls to the room asking if id like to purchase an excursion. I chose this resort for two reasons, cost and food. I had read several reviews saying the food was excellent. This set my expectations too high, as i wasn't very impressed. It was solid, but i've had better at other all-inclusives that were similarly priced. This was a fine experience for the cost, but it is unlikely I would return.
- Mark (2/5): - This place is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I paid for an all inclusive experience. I couldn’t even enjoy one day there. The facilities were being renovated during the day and it was loud in the morning. All inclusive but I had to pay extra for almost everything I wanted to do because the basic stuff was super low quality and the food was terrible.. there was no flavor the people cooking didn’t even care to respond when we asked what they had available. The entire staff was rude. The supervisor tried to intimidate us by reading off the refund policy when they didn’t wanna hear that the overall quality of this all inclusive hotel was below standards for anyone. We stayed there for 19 hours before we decided to leave back home. We tried to enjoy ourselves and we just couldn’t
- Patricia L (10/5): - Brandon, our Butler, was fabulous. Both Brandon and Jose the Pool Concierge went out of their way to make my husbands birthday very special. Brandon took care of everything we needed and checked in with us daily to make sure we were okay. The staff at this resort is outstanding. A special shout out to Erika our server at the pool thanks for all the laughs.
- Kira (6/5): - The rooms were very hot and the pool water was near hot.
- Shaquan (10/5): - This was me and my fiance's first time in Mexico , so a lot of things were skeptical for us we didn't want to book something unsafe or unorganized. Ocean Coral & Turquesa
- wesley (8/5): - On arrival our room had a moldy smell. They brought a dehumidifier and sprayed some aroma scent. That took care of it,and we asked them to spray 2x daily. Unfortunately we had to ask every day for it to be done. Finally the last 2 days they did it as we requested. Overall a laid back resort. We are active seniors and enjoy dancing at night-disco or night club. The entertainment was geared towards families and kids. Buffet was just ok. Blue moon was excellent. Italian was excellent. It a lian patio was mediocre. Too long to wait for food. Brazilian steak house just ok. Didn't care for Route 66 menu. Staff everywhere was outstanding and helpful. Everyone on the Blue Team worked their tails off every day to make you feel welcome and have fun. Fernanda was outstanding as was Eduardo at the Chill Bar. Estrella at housekeeping took care of the issue with our room once she became involved.if she was involved sooner, our stay would have been excellent.
- Richard Deleon (10/5): - This place was one of my favorite places Noe!
- Jessica Kathleen (6/5): - The dress codes during the day were really annoying. Need to loosen up some especially with a bar next to a pool and not being able to go I without shoes, shirts and pants.
The way to make reservations for dinner were too complicated for reason.
- Latiera N (2/5): - Let me just start by saying that I just made it back home having to travel from the resort with a horrible case of food poisoning after eating at Villa Marina the night before our departure! Not to mention my partner also was ill during our stay on the 3rd and 4th nights. Im unable to determine which restaurant was the cause since I was not ill at the time.
Upon arrival at the resort the outside staff instructed us to leave our bags at the curb and said they would be brought to our room after checkin. We proceeded to checkin, to which we were met with an unexpected daily environmental tax of 68 pesos per day. We went to eat and walked around for a bit, by 8 p.m. our bags still had not made it to the room and we checked in at 3. We went back and got our own bags and the concierge did not confirm our identity so its a good thing we are not thieves!
The entire resort from the moment we arrived had a strong stinch of seaweed which only got worse. It was so bad we had no access to swim in the beach which should have allowed us to receive a discount for our stay as we were not informed in advance. It filled our room, and my partner could not handle the smell so we had to forego the option to have the lobster dinner on the beach.
Our room was constantly being invaded by beetles and lizards. We had to put a towel under door to keep the bugs out.
Lastly, El Beso is adults only but has 1 restaurant. Once staff realize they cant upsell you they stop being friendly.
- Jamaye (8/5): - The report was nice, but lacked entertainment. No night club, no events during the day at the pool. Dinning was also difficult some of the restaurants were closed on Saturday and Sundays and they booked up very quickly. The rooms were kind of hot as well, and lobby was open so it was constantly hot there. Overall I’d rate it a 7/10.
- Yasmin (10/5): - Should improve the entertainment
- Michael Bernard (10/5): - We had a wonderful vacation!. Carlos, at check in was very helpful, we were upgraded to Premium room in El Beso because of mobility issues. Faviana with guest services was great at helping us get checked in to airline for return trip. All of the food was outstanding. Dimas, Fernando, Alejandro, Antonio, Gabriel, Ricardo were all excellent waitstaff. El Beso pool bar-Ricardo was wonderful. The bed had a new, very comfortable mattress, 3 pillows on each side of the bed. Housekeeping did an excellent job. One cup coffee maker in the room was enough to get the day started, then on to Mike's Coffee. We ate breakfast at the buffet everyday, and once for lunch, wonderful variety and Antonio was amazing. We asked for him each time. All the restaurants were great, but we enjoyed the Villa Marina-it's a Brazilian steakhouse, the most. Will stay again soon.
- YULIA (6/5): - This was our third time at the resort and it was the worst out of three . No beach, because they didn’t keep up with cleaning it . It smells like sewer everywhere including in the room.Seaweed took over, impossible to even get to water
Food was a c- .
Entertainment is average . Drinks are all just mixers and little bit of alcohol, basically very diluted .
Decided to book an excursion on catamaran to go to Isla Mujeres so we can enjoy the beach. Instead , they let us swim for about 15 minutes off the catamaran. After they dropped us off by downtown shopping entrance . So we walked back to a beach area , had to rent a loungers and an umbrella that was suppose to be included into our excursion.
We will not go back to this resort .
- Carl (6/5): - We were so glad to be on the El Beso Adult only section! The pool restaurant was the best for food. We tried all the other food choices and were disappointed. Unfortunately, 1st day, the pool's bathroom was out of order, we saw many opt to pee in the pool, gross. We decided to go to the other "party pool" the next day, but they closed it down because someone puked in it, gross. Went to town instead - beware of a salesman who will recognize your bracelet and get you into his "grandparents" jewelry store. But my husband did buy me some great earrings, less the $200 asking price, lol. The meal in Puerto Morales was excellent! I can't remember the name, but it was seaside with a dock. Anyway, we waited a couple days to go into the pool, to clean itself out and had a nice, peaceful time there.
- LUIS (4/5): - The resort would have been 5 stars but the stench &site of dying seaweeds over whelmed the beach area &gets blown by wind to the rooms.Fine dining is terrrible ,so hard to reserve but the the food is almost unedible, the food no matter what type are tasteless, the pool were great and there are hundreds of rabid racoon roaming around the guests areas.the smoothies are all watered down, same with iced coffee.Bugs crawl in the room at night.
- Jonna Lea (8/5): - Very friendly staff! Buffet food was not great, but the reservation restaurants for dinner were awesome. Air conditioner did not keep up so we just walked around naked and was fine 😉 If you are travelling as a couple, Beso adult only section was worth the extra money. Adult only pool and gives you another restaurant option. Beach was unusable due to seaweed, not resorts fault.
- Efrain (8/5): - Great weekend getaway for the holiday and wife’s birthday. Would definitely return.
- KENNETH ANDRE (10/5): - The staff was exemplary. Everything I needed and when I needed it right on time.
- Matthew (10/5): - The staff was incredible!
- Ashley (8/5): - Could never get to beach with all the seaweed and it smelled everywhere
- Maria De Lourdes (6/5): - Nothing at
- Jorge (10/5): - Great place overall! Priced well!
- Angela (8/5): - The room was huge! GREAT VIEW. Thecstaff was definitely warm and friendly. I only wish that there were re more adult avtivities. Overall not bad.
- Kelly Brent (10/5): - Cleanliness and staff was great. However, hot water in the room is non-exsistant. Had hot water the first day of stay and no more. If you like cold showers, this is the place for you. Everything else was excellent.
- Aryan (10/5): - I loved my stay here! Staff is super friendly and nice and breakfast is amazing! Shoutout to Jazmin in the lobby
- Jacob (10/5): - Was a great resort!
- Briana (6/5): - Staff (some) were friendly and catered to your needs. We weren’t able to eat at any restaurants there because they were all “booked.” The app wasn’t working to make the reservations, so we went to guest services to help us out. She claimed there was nothing she could do, but that we also weren’t able to book reservations 24 hours in advance. We met friends at the resort who invited us to dinner with them, because they were able to get reservations for the whole week when they checked in. But somehow we weren’t able to do that. When we entered the restaurant ‘Blue Moon’ we were yelled at by the manager/guy because we weren’t on the reservation list. Some people behind us gave us their reservation, which made him even more mad. Mind you there were only 6 people in the entire restaurant. 40 tables were open. He proceeded to say he was going to call security because we weren’t leaving. When we toured the property to potentially become timeshare holders, we were told that certain restaurants were for privilege customers only. We paid extra for the El Beso adults only part of the resort only to have been able to eat at the buffet the entire time.
- Aurora Cabral (8/5): - Over all the resort is 10/10. But I gave it 9/10 because the reservation for dinner only allows guests to book once. 2 booking for dinner would be better. Also, the seaweed makes it 9/10 otherwise our stay at the resort is amazingly good.
- Clifford (10/5): - The staff was amazing above all! The property was well maintained and our well-sized oceanview room delivered beautiful views as promised! The specialty restaurants included in the price were a nice bonus. Reservations were required but we had not trouble booking them. The buffet also did not disappoint for an all inclusive. We enjoyed daily activities and swim up bar at the main pool. They even left me a birthday cake in the room!! Wonderful trip…We will stay again!
- Tami Jane (6/5): - Food availability was poor. Beaches were horrible, couldnt get to ocean due to amount of seaweed! Will not return
- Scott (8/5): - We enjoyed the many food and drink opportunities. The set up of the resort was convenient to get to amenities.
The only thing we missed was a central gathering location for earlier night life. We were up at 6am every day. Late night life wasn’t for us.
- Tyler (6/5): - We came for a weekend getaway. Not as nice as expected.. grounds aren’t well kept, beach isn’t maintained and is covered in seaweed. Welcoming staff isn’t very helpful or efficient. Wish there was food offered at the pool, instead you have to walk around and try to figure out which restaurants are open because they’re all different times or go back to your room and wait for room service instead of enjoying the pool. Coffee should open before 8:00 a.m. as most people want coffee earlier than that. Also wish the wrist bands weren’t mandatory as they leave an ugly tan line and don’t even work to access your room half the time. Lobby is chaos with families and kids even if you’re booked for the adult only portion, and there’s only 1 place to eat without kids next to you. Music is only played at the family pool with kids splashing everywhere and not much going on at the adult pool as far as liveliness or music.
- Andrew (2/5): - 1. The beach. Not the properties fault as they can’t control the seaweed in the water. But the beach was not clean and was for the most part unusable.
2. The staff. From the time we arrived to the time we left, the staff essentially acted like they were annoyed and put out by having to do the slightest things such as seating us at a restaurant or answering simple questions.
3. The water. Out of our five day stay, we only had hot water for maybe 2 showers. Very Inconvenient and aggravating.
4. The elevator is building 3 would not go to the 4th floor. This was very inconvenient and annoying.
5. Trying to make dinner reservations is a complete disaster. If you do not make reservations by 8am, you are completely out of luck. And the restaurants that are marketed as “first come first serve” are not that at all, as we tried to eat at the Mexican restaurant and were told that we had to wait 3+ hours because we weren’t on the “waitlist.”
6. The food and drinks in general. We have been to several different resorts where the food and drinks have been amazing. This place is the complete opposite. The food was disgusting most days and the drinks were sub par at best. Might as well drink the water and hope for the best.
7. The pool bars. When it is marketed that there is pool bar service, that’s a stretch. We would wait 30-45 minutes to get a drink. And that’s not because the waiter was bad. It was the lack there of service as it was one waiter trying to accommodate 40-50+ people.
- Amy (10/5): - Great All-Inclusive! Will def be back!
- Waled (10/5): - Extremely friendly staff and good service! Great experience overall
- Lark (10/5): - The property was lovely and well cared for. The staff was amazing providing excellent friendly service. I never walked past a staff member, no matter what their job, without receiving a friendly greeting. It was clear they were well trained and not working for tips. I highly recommend this resort. The only minus was that the beach had lots of seaweed, but maintenance was picking it up daily. Upkeep, including painting and improving was happening continuously. Well done, and thank you for a great vacation.
- John (10/5): - The rooms were nicely done with plenty of room. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of amenities. The people who work there are nice and so friendly. The staff at the Bistro El Beso were the best! Freddy, Ivan, Maria, McCrea and Carlos were the best of the best! Food was above average and there was so much to chose from. Bistro El Beso had the best breakfasts, right by the pool! The Japanese, Mexican and Italian restaurants were fantastic! The buffet had so many choices with different themed quisines! Overall, I would return again.
- Jacob Charles Chambers (10/5): - Beautiful property with excellent staff! Good was great and room was clean. Humidity kept the room a little warmer than we would have liked but not a huge issue. Overall, would definitely pack a bag and head back out this weekend!!
- Christopher (2/5): - Will never stay here again because of the air conditioning. If you want to wake up in bed every night in a pool of sweat this is your place. If you want profusely sweat while eating each meal this is your place.
- Grace Mae (10/5): - As a senior traveler I like the El Beso section for a quiet relaxing atmosphere. The activities staff in the El Beso section were amazing with a special acknowledgement to Fabian and Johnathan. Also the bar service is excellent with special acknowledgement to the bartender Wilberth and pool server Ricardo for their outstanding service. Our favorite a la carte restaurants were the Mexican and the Italian with special recognition to Enrique at the indoor Italian. I like the wrist bracelet that works as a room key. Liquor choices were adequate with room for improvement for non privilege customers. No food consumption allowed around pools is a good policy for cleanliness.
- David (10/5): - - Great people
- Decent food
- Great activities
- Awesome food options
Our bracelets to enter in our room didn’t work a day before our check-out, so we had to re-set it at the lobby. Also, there was an Italian restaurant that we could never book, because it was always unavailable.
I’d go to El Beso again, but wouldn’t be my number one option.
- Katherine (8/5): - The employees were great. A few standouts were Gustavo and Eduardo at the swim up pool bar. Super friendly and made everyone feel welcome!. Also, the two gentlemen working the coffee bar in the lobby. They were helpful with suggestions and very friendly as well. All the grounds staff were nice and everyone said hello. Three sections of the resort for kids/families, all and the. Adult's only. We stayed in the besó area and it waa very quiet and relaxing. Food selections were nice and they had drink stations setup all over. Property is beautifully manicured.
- David (10/5): - Amazing, super friendly staff that are very kind. As a visually impaired sometimes solo traveler, would highly recommend has everything's right there. this place for its l
- Calla Audrele (8/5): - Had a great time at the resort. The food and drinks were great. It got a little crowded at the pools quickly. I would recommend scoping out a spot earlier in the day. Room was clean and spacious. Beds and pillows were too firm for my liking but that’s not a deal breaker.
- Aleksandra (10/5): - I traveled alone. Resort was a perfect size, walkable. Very clean, friendly staff. I liked the liveliness of the pool all throughout the day. I was disappointed about the beach that was not usable due to enormous amount of seaweeds. But that is something beyond control of the resort. Overall, great experience!
- Joseph (10/5): - Had a great time. There 5 days April 2025. Carlos our concierge was great helpful with all our restaurant requests and spa activities. Claudia our pool attendant was excellent. Always ice, drinks towels whatever you needed. Would definitely recommend.
- Tessa (8/5): - Great beach is nasty tho
- Aaron (10/5): - I loved my stay at Ocean Coral. Staff food drinks were all excellent. I will definitely be back.
Thank you
- Pamela (10/5): - Staff is wonderful.
- Tiana (10/5): - Absolutely loved my time here. Had everything I needed and wanted. Food was good, room was beautiful and clean and all the staff were so kind and helpful. Would absolutely go back!
- Myles (8/5): - Overall I enjoyed my stay, although we did run into a few things that maybe questioned my significant and I return. The daily activites scheduled was an amazing plus so we didn’t need to leave the resort to find things to do, lots of options for food, and amazing staff who go out of there way to help you enjoy your time. On the other hand, you do have to reserve certain dining options which becomes available to select at 8am and by 8:10 time slots are all usually unavailable. One of the days we stayed the water was out for most of the day and when it did come back on the water smelled so after a day at the pool we returned to our shower water that smelled worse than being outwide all day so we’re forced to use the bottled water to take our bath. But, because you can only get bottled water included with your room when maid service comes around we were without water the following day going to the pool until they came back to our room the following evening. Our options were either buy water, drink the resort water, or not drink any water. Not sure why we can’t request additional water bottles whenever we want if they are already included in the stay. My wife was of course unhappy with this. Besides that, you do have raccoons come out at night and wonder around the resort looking for food but they don’t bother you as far as what I saw. Overall, rooms are up to date, a lot of options of things to do at the resort and things to do outside of it.
- David Edward (10/5): - Maria & Ivan and the rest of the Beso Bistro staff are anazing and all have una hermosa sonrisa! Rodrigo at the Blue Moon is ny best friend in Mexico.!
- Rasean (10/5): - Beautiful ocean views and private beach area
- Saif (10/5): - Had a great time!
- Samantha (10/5): - This property has everything. I personally was looking for a quiet getaway to get a tan and not have to worry about any needs (all inclusive), and this place delivered. One pool was definitely more of a party pool (DJ, swim up bar), and one pool was more family friendly, and the third was much quieter yet reserved for club members. There were plenty of deck loungers. The food options in the buffet were plentiful and I did get into one of the restaurants (need a reservation) and it was great too. The rooms were spacious and had every amenity. Traveling alone I felt extremely safe. The resort is very “American friendly” with language as well (an above and beyond, in my opinion). Overall the location exceeded my expectations. Families and couples of all ages will find this location great. Lots of things to do if you like to be busy. I did get asked the entire time where my husband was, comically enough, but still felt safe on the property alone.
- Sheldon (10/5): - Nice resort for the price!
- Joseph (10/5): - The staff at this resort are the friendliest we have seen in a long time. From the front desk, cleaning crews, bartenders and waitstaff, they were happy to help you or serve you. Very nice and well laid out property.
- Andrea (6/5): - Good variety of food at the ala carte. The Bistro in the adults only area had the best food and service from Freddy and Willbirt. Very difficult to get reservations at the restaurants. If you did not book exactly at 8:00 am you would not get in. Drinks tasted odd. Used syrups instead of fruit for drinks. Little entertainment if any at night. If you are looking for a good budget friendly getaway this is it with no extras.
- Kathy Jo (10/5): - Beautiful property, very friendly staff.
- CoraJo (8/5): - Everything was just as you would expect for this price range of an all inclusive resort. The buffet was pretty solid the whole time with good options. The coffee house was probably the best coffee place we’ve been to in an all inclusive and never too busy. We didn’t have much luck with the specialty restaurants. They weren’t bad, just not great.
We got upgraded to an ocean front suite which was amazing! This was a good experience for the money.
- Darcie (8/5): - This property is fantastic! I've stayed here twice now and it is a very lively and lovely resort. Only a few bad ratings from me because the beach is really nothing to write home about. It was FULL of seaweed our entire stay, and I didn't even end up swimming in the ocean at all. If that's a deal breaker for you, it may not be the best choice, however I like the pools more anyway so this wasn't a big problem for me.
The main pool always has some fun games and dancing and stuff. Veryuch so the "party pool" and the other main pool is a bit quieter but still very busy. We booked on the el beso (adults only) side and it is WAY worth it in my opinion. The adults pool was always quiet and neverany people in the pool.
The food is fantastic! There's always so many options if you're a picky eater. The gift shop is pretty good too. Our rooms weren't the CLEANEST but still very lovely rooms. The only issue was there was someone else's hair on our Shower walls when we got there so obviously the showers aren't being cleaned properly, but everything else seemed clean. Unfortunately during our stay the whole resort lost water. It happened around midnight though so only affected a few people who stayed out late, but still inconvenient. No water meant the AC didn't work also. Thankfully they fixed the issue within a few hours so we had water when we woke up.
Overall this resort is gorgeous and I'd definitely recommend it as long as you don't mind messy beach.
- Ashley (8/5): - Friendly staff, clean grounds. Areas of improvement are food & beachfront conditions.
- Sheila (10/5): - My stay at Ocean Coral and Turquesa was wonderful! The food and drinks were great and staff were professional, accomodating, friendly, helpful and outgoing. I loved all the different restaurants, the coffee shop, juice bar and ice cream parlor. I stayed at the El Beso section (adults only) and was still able to enjoy the entire resort. The white sand beach was stunning and the pools were very refreshing. There were several activities available each day and the evening entertainment was great! I traveled by myself and felt very safe at this resort.
- Pamela (8/5): - Service in el beso bistro was good. Freddy Marisol mya Luis were very friendly Italian indoor had no ambience it was too bright & not great food. Some areas could us maintenance ie elevators & hallways. Shower was confusing & hot water was not always available. Cirque de sol show was good Lobby was clean. Bathrooms on lower floor were not clean. BEACH CHAIRS ARE A MESS !!! Not enough & falling apart Beach area for non privilege was a bit small & hard to find a chair in one piece Beach was seaweeds but they did their best to keep it clean most days
- JAMES STEPHEN (10/5): - The staff goes over and beyond to assist you. The restaurant team and bartenders were very good!
- alison helene (10/5): - Beautiful property. We loved our room. Very spacious, super comfy beds. Remodelled recently. Food was great everywhere. Friendly concierge and service everywhere. Loved the coffee at Mikes. Drinks were ok, but wish they had more fresh fruit for mixes. We loved that you could see the water from basically everywhere in the resort. Would reccommend!
- CRAIG Michael (10/5): - Excellent stay at El Beso. Staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. Shout out to guest services (Rudolfo and Valeria) and swim up bartender Gustavo who provided great service. Room was spacious and clean. Food was very, very good compared to high end all inclusive standards.
Some minor hiccups like no hot water one morning, no maid service one day, and limited beach service (few chairs, seaweed not cleaned regularly, no beach bar). But all rectifiable and no impact on our stay.
Overall tremendous value and a great resort.
- Paul (10/5): - We had a great time at this resort. The service is unmatched... the staff go out of their way to ensure all guests have a great experience. We stayed at El Beso and enjoyed our room - there was lots of space, it felt clean and the A/C worked really well. The bed was not super comfortable and could benefit from a mattress upgrade, but everything else in the room felt updated. The food at the al la carte restaurants was fantastic - the Bistro at El Beso was amazing and a great option for breakfast & lunch so we didn't have to eat at the buffet every day for these meals. The buffet was slightly underwhelming, but the endless options at the a la carte restaurants made up for this. We didn't have an issue getting a reservation every night, but we were only a group of 2 and we were on the app every day at 8 a.m.
The staff absolutely makes this place a 5 star resort... they go above and beyond for the guests.
We did not spend time on the beach, there was a lot of seaweed and the waves were rough, but spending time at the pool and being able to see the open water provides a very nice view & setting.
- Oswaldo (10/5): Anniversary at El Beso - My boyfriend and I celebrated our first anniversary at this amazing adults-only property, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Monica at the front desk, who welcomed us with incredible news—we were upgraded to a Presidential Suite with an oceanfront view and a jacuzzi on the terrace, all thanks to Expedia! Monica’s warm service set the perfect tone for our stay.
Dining at Los Girasoles was a highlight, where Victor took great care of us and ensured we had an exceptional meal. While we didn’t swim this time, we stopped by the pool bar where Jazmin Picazo and Juan Ventura made us the best mojito we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive resort—the Mojito Caribeño is a must!
Our room was spacious and beautiful, with breathtaking views from the terrace. The resort’s layout made everything easily walkable, which we loved. We especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere in the El Beso building, with no kids to disrupt the calm.
This stay was truly special, and we can’t wait to return and explore even more of the resort’s offerings and flavors we didn’t have time to try. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious getaway!
- Brayden Lawrence (10/5): - The resort was well maintained and staff was very friendly.
- Jamie (10/5): - We had a fantastic time at ElBeso Ocean Coral & Turquesa. All the staff was so friendly! Check in was a breeze and they immediately fix you any drink you want while checking in!! The food was great. Never a wait. This was our first visit to this resort and hopefully will make it back!! Had two massages at the spa!!! Went on a couple excursions with Dive it. Highly recommend the snorkeling. There are so many activities and the their app was so convenient to know what was happening at the resort. Property was very clean. The only negatives was our room was near the road so next time we will request a different room. Plus next we plan to do ocean view. Cleaning staff was great btw!! We were there on my birthday and got a surprise birthday cake in our room!!
- maria daniela (8/5): - The see food and drinks
- Sharon Gail (10/5): - A perfect trip in every way. As usual the people of Mexico make any trip wonderful. This is our second try at an H10 Ocean resort and it's become our favorite. Very good food. Our bed was one of the best we've ever slept in.
- Michelle (10/5): - Everything was excellent, from the lovely rooms to the nice pools, well manicured grounds.
- Kimberly Ann (6/5): - We loved the property, staff and experience. The problem accused when we upgrade to priority nothing was explained to us and the perks that come along with it. We were assigned a butler (who quit the day after we were assigned him), and no one took over for him. We reached out to speak with him numerous times regarding travel, excursions and dinner reservations. It wasn’t until two days later we had to go speak with a manager we were informed that he was no longer part of the hotel. We paid a lot for a service that unfortunately wasn’t used to its full potential because we got lost in the shuffle. Another butler was assigned to us but we were leaving the next day. They did help with getting us a late check out, and the new butler checked in with us frequently after the fact.
- Gina (8/5): - This was our 2nd stay at this property. My husband and two daughters in their 20's stayed at the El Beso section in early January 2025. Two negatives-we were not told the spa steam room was broken and has been for 2 months until after we arrived for our circuit appointment. I would not have booked it if we knew there was no steam room. Second big negative was the restaurant booking situation. Though the website says Blue moon isn't reservation, it is now. That really decreased the non-reservations options for us (I don't do buffet). Basically there are only two options for non-reservation-the Mexican and the Route 66 burger place. I highly recommend the Mexican. Also, if you are El Beso the Bistro is open a couple nights a week. The Bistro and Mexican were our favorite meals of the week. The Italian and Blue moon were also good but hard to get reservations for. You have to get on their app (which often errors out) at 8am and all reservations the week we were there were gone within minutes. It was frustrating and would keep us from booking again.I just don't need the stress on vacation. That said, food was good. First day we got there and ate at the buffet, many options were empty and I had a hard time finding anything I wanted but other than that meals were good.Room was great, nice distant ocean view. Staff was great, running out of room to say more. Good choice if you're not bothered by not getting reservations.
- Roger (10/5): Fantastic - This was our second time at this resort. It did not disappoint. We just love it. We recommend it to our friends and family. Just a great overall place. Staff is amazing. Food. We participated in a few activities had a blast we will be ba k soon
- Ramandeep (10/5): - One of the best resorts I have stayed in. Staff was generally nice and soft spoken. My fiance can’t eat anything other than vegetarian and he is allergic to eggs so resort made sure he has some options to choose from in every meal and they were going above and beyond to cook something exceptional for him every time if he has issues with it.
I would really recommend everybody to book this resort 10/10 😊
- Christine Ann (8/5): - We were situated in the El Beso (adults only) section of the resort so it was pretty quiet, which was great. A lot of the resort was being renovated whilst we were there. It was good to see that things were being brought up to date. Our room was newly renovated and was lovely. The construction workers were respectful of the guests and never got in the way.
The restaurants were amazing, especially the Blue Moon. Five courses and all delicious and beautifully presented. We tried all of the restaurants and they were all extremely good. The buffet was also very good with many choices.
All the staff we encountered everywhere on the resort were friendly and helpful.
The beach was our favourite place and although there was a lot of seaweed, the beach patrol staff worked extremely hard in clearing it and did a great job.
The El Beso pool was often very crowded and the sun loungers, although plentiful, were usually all taken. Guests put their towels out very early in the day leave them there all day. There is a sign saying towels and belongings left unattended would be removed after an hour but it doesn't seem to be enforced. Also, the sun loungers are very, very close together. This is my only criticism of the resort. All of the pools are beautiful though.
The evening entertainment was okay but nothing special.
- Iryna (4/5): - Whoever will be planning to book this resort, please READ THE REVIEWS first. So we’ve been to this resort once, 3 years ago and it was nice, that’s why I decided to book it again, despite not so good reviews that people had been posting lately. For sure we will not come back there. Issue after issue…I cut my foot in a pool, because tiles were broken and there were sharp edges from it. I don’t understand. Nobody ever checks this pool? Not to say there were so much sand and small stones in it. Another bad thing - if you an early bird and let’s say you need to take a shower at 7am - forget about hot water and about water in a shower during the night. They literally turn off the water, and when I called reception and asked why we don’t have water, they said “we will send someone to check it”. Excuse me??? At 1am at night? They are simply turning it off. Same with AC, we turned it to the lowest temperature possible and it was still hot in the room. When asked, they said same thing “we will send someone to check it”. Never happened.
And honestly food wasn’t the best and drinks - water and sugar. Also, they don’t have a good entertainment (this is not my first time in Mexico and I can tell you, there are resorts that have great entertainment!). Nothing really here. We also had situation with our excursion - they rescheduled it 3 times! All this to say, we do not recommend this resort. Save your money and book something a little more expensive but with better service and quality.
- Kenneth Jason (10/5): - Eduardo at pool bar was best bartender south of Cancun!
- Melissa (10/5): - Wonderful stay! We were upgraded to an ocean view Privilege room that was clean and spacious. Food and drink options were plentiful. The activities staff worked tirelessly around the pool during the day and again for each nights themed entertainment. A special shout out to Ilda who works the lobby bar. She kept the drinks flowing and was so friendly and personable. Halloween was a blast with staff in costumes and the party going late. Thank you for a fabulous stay.
- Rylee (8/5): - Overall our stay was wonderful. With the exception of the roads to the resort (which were awful to say the least.) And that every time we would be relaxing in the pool employees from the property would come over and interrupt our time and ask us to book excursions and such with them, all of our excursions were booked with/through Expedia. The only other thing I didn’t like was the up charge on certain things within the resort, such as dinner at Oriental Sensai where certain drinks were additional money on top, I thought ALL INCLUSIVE meant EVERYTHING was included.
- Arun (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay here. It was fun and relaxing. I did, however, lose jewelry. I reached out and they said they haven’t seen it in our room and the shower drain took a little while to drain all the water. Other than these two complaints, my spouse and I enjoyed our stay.
- Stephanie (10/5): - We had so much fun and enjoyed our stay. From the service to the food everything was above our expectations. Definitely will be visiting back again real soon (;
- Brian S (6/5): - the property was nice the food was good, the one thing that really made me mad was how they treat the animals they have on the property. They are starving the animals there 3 of the workers told us that they were told not to feed the cats and animals and they are very boney and if it was not for the people coming to the resort they would not be feed. This is cruel to the animals and some of them are starved. All the food that they throw away at the resort would feed these animals no problem. If you do not want them there then you need to have a shelter come and get them instead of being cruel and in human
- Geno (8/5): - Nice property and a fun experience. A/C absolutely needs upgrading. Staff could not repair. Made for a somewhat uncomfortable stay but otherwise a nice option. I might look elsewhere due to the a/c issue.
- Michael (6/5): - For all the good things, the bad out weighs it putting this at 2.5 stars.
On the good side the majority of the place was clean and tidy expect for the construction. The construction never bothered me and the kept most of it out of site so Kudos to the property for that. The main lobby area was great. The bar served great martinis and seemed to be a favorite hang out spot after the evening shows.
Our room was very nice and spacious accept we requested a King bed and received 2 doubles. That was a little of a pain but not crucial. The door to the toilet area was cramped which was a little weird and a poor design. Thankfully we didn't have any AC issues as I've seen from other reviews so they may have remedied that before we got there.
NOW, for the bad. When you book an all inclusive you would hope for decent to good food. Not one place we went too was any good at all. The only thing I found remotely edible was the burgers and maybe the roast beef sandwich out of the Bistro. The food was so bad that on occasion we could only try a couple bites and had to leave to see if we could find something else. That happened a lot. During our big evening event with all of friends, we showed up 5 minutes late, received our drinks, meal and desert, finished, and the group we were with at another table didn't even get drinks yet. Highly disappointed in the service and food. The breakfast buffet, which is hard to mess up, was terrible. Fix the dining issues and staff, 4.0 rank
- Maria Yvette (10/5): - Good service
- Jose (2/5): - The rooms didn’t have a/c we asked for a different room and they didn’t have one they said.
- Fabean (4/5): - Multiple rooms of our guest we envited did not have a/c and they would just bring us fans and say thats the best they could do
- Andrea (10/5): - Service was amazing. People is caring and helpful
- Donald (6/5): - Not fun
- Demetrius (10/5): - The property was very clean. The staff was Amazing. Very helpful always. Felt very safe all over the property. Anything we needed and/or asked for it was provided. Rooms were great. Freash and clean. Bed slept awesome. Mattress and pillows were comfortable.
- Leticia (4/5): - Food was not good at all!
- Lindsay (6/5): - Positives..
Our room was recently renovated and nice. No complaints there at all. The check in process was smooth. The food was overall pretty good. Our experience at Sensai was fabulous. The pools were clean and nice atmosphere overall. The most positive was a few of the servers. Mateo at the lobby bar was amazing, and Poncho at the Bistro Bar, Javier at the Italian restaurant, and Ricardo at the El Beso pool were fabulous. If not for the service from these individuals especially, our experience would have been less.
Negatives..
I have to say that it rained much of the time we were there, which is no fault of the resort, but it certainly illuminated areas where they could improve. For starters, the Nightlife is almost non existent outside of the lobby, and unfortunately, there is not enough seating for the number of people (I saw people fighting over seats) and there is very little happening outside of the lobby. I was disappointed there was nothing for adults only, since I booked for an adults-only experience. Food- There were a number of times when restaurants were unexpectedly closed. We ended up eating dinner at the buffet twice by sheer need, not desire. The Beach was absolutely awful
I understand the seaweed is an issue they cannot control, but there wasn't even a
small space cleared. Another negative was the number of times we were put in a position being asked to do/pay extra for things. Also disappointed in the "missing extras" that I've experienced elsewhere.
