- 229lesl (10/5): My stay and experience - Super place for a stay great value for your money.very clean quiet great staff restaurants nearbuy.i highly recommend great wi fi great accommodation. Great table to sit by has a swing.refrigerator micro waves clean bedding good smelling.just very peacefully for
- Stanley (6/5): - It wasn't okay place
- Marianna (8/5): - This is my first time at this motel, I was running from Hurricane Milton. Pros: friendly staff, quiet place, big fridge, even with a freezer, where you can put a lot of food and water. Absolutely no insects, which I encountered in more expensive hotels, you can sleep without fear. Cons: the room is old, you can see scuffs on the windows and walls. But, the next time I run from a hurricane, I will come back with a supply of food, because now I know that there is a big fridge.
- CathiS1969 (10/5): Great Value! - Stopped over on a road trip. Decided to visit Silver Springs. Perfect for a one night stay. Property was well lit. Staff was very friendly. No one appeared to be loitering around the property. Room appeared to be newly renovated. Would definitely stay again. Excellent value for the rate.
- kevin (10/5): very clean and comfortable - This is an old hotel but very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The owners were exceptional and extremely helpful if anything was needed. I would definitely stay with them again. It's not the taj mahal but it definitely serves the purpose and the budget!
- annettevU5310WM (10/5): I liked it here! - Went to Ocala for a music festival. After reading reviews, I was skeptical. But I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was great for what I needed. Staff was helpful. Don't know what anybody else was expecting! People just like to complain
- Margaret (4/5): - This motel is very run down. The proprietor was quite rude.
- Thomas (10/5): - I go here for airsoft events When in the area. and it's always clean and quiet.
- Resort49484512996 (2/5): Horrible - The "owner" is RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE. I have read several reviews on this motel, and they all seem the same. And the common problem seems to be the female that is part owner to this motel. The motel is dirty and not worth 89.00 a night.
Sketchy is a nice word I would use to describe the people that live there. I wouldn't stay here again.
I would advise anyone to run the other way unless u want severe whip lash from the owner.
- Jerome (2/5): - Didnt not check in, had to book another hotel as to conditions of the hotel was unacceptable
- Erica (10/5): Five Stars - I love the Motel Very Nice Atmosphere slept great very Quiet
- Guy (10/5): A good place to stay - Very friendly people. Clean room. Good quality towels. Furniture older, but in good repair. I will stay again
- Verified traveler (4/5): Over priced for what your getting - Its over priced for what your getting but then again I went during spring break. Only one of the wall outlets worked and there is no alarm clock, telephone or shampoo and conditioner’s (I didn’t need them anyway but I thought it was strange), the room smelled like pee so we had to go get air fresheners and we also used our own blankets because the top comforters I don’t think seen a washing machine in a while, oh and the air conditioner was so loud you didn’t have to worry about the road traffic.
On the plus side, the water pressure is good and there are a lot of tv channels.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not Fancy But Adequate For One Night - It was ok for a one-night stop. We slept well. The walls are thin, but we had quiet neighbors. Newly sealed and striped parking lot. Linens were fine. Not fancy but adequate.
- Laura (8/5): - Nice for the price. Clean and quiet.
- Melody (10/5): - Only one word. WONDERFUL
- robbier798 (2/5): rude - We have stayed here several times in the past, it was reasonably priced for what it was. Now they have went up on the prices to where you would expect it to be A LOT NICER. this is a old time roadside motel probably built in the 50"s before the interstate. The staff were as RUDE as anywhere ive ever stayed, when i checked in the guy was pissed because i interrupted his crossword puzzle, then the checkout time was NOT posted in the room and we guessed it was 11 AM like most places , apparently it is 10 am. So after this RUDE woman beat on the door we got our bags and left. Well now i see where they have charged me a $30 late fee, it may have been 10:15 when we left. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ! THEY ARE HORRIBLE !! On top of that they have sketchy looking people living there and i was nervous to leave my Truck un attended.
- Craig (8/5): - Was fine except for check in, they didn’t have my reservation? What’s up with that?
- Ocala0 (4/5): Beware of owners!! - Spent more than three weeks there. Do have to say good price but that is all. Rooms TV remote did not work had to get up every time I wanted to change channel. Bed linen had burn holes in them. Vending machine (soda) only had diet Coke in it and the other was completely empty the entire time I was there!! Only allowed two (2) rolls of toilet paper per week!!!! They also come into your room every other day, whether you're there or not, so they can inspect for cleanliness and if you are doing anything illeagle!! The owners are so rude!! I was accused of lying to them about whether I put out my bathmat along with my towels to get new ones!! I was appalled!! I was also confronted by the wife one time when I went to the office to get a roll of toilet paper!! (Yeah) I had to talk to the husband (doesn't speak very good English) through a hole two inches high. I couldn't understand what he was saying as I have a hearing disability so I was speaking loudly. When I got back to my room the wife came beating on my door and told me they don't put up with disrespect and yelling. At that point I told her my situation and she told me not to do that again and stormed away. I guess it's ok that when you are the customer and are paying all that money, that the owners can talk to you like a dog!! 🐕 All I can really say about this couple owned property, is BEWARE of the owners and find a different place to stay!!!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The place was pretty run down. On Pine Avenue, has a lot of traffic and heard it all night
- Verified traveler (6/5): Lucky me - Happy to have a room
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was an older motel, but very neat and well maintained on the outside. The rooms were outdated, but again clean and neat. Would definitely consider staying there again.
- revjohannesm (8/5): Pretty Good For An Older Motel - After a long day's bike ride, I knew that I had to go farther south on US 441 before stopping at a motel because the ones closer to the downtown area were really run down and were welfare motels. I was heading to a motel about a mile and a half down the highway, I saw the owner out watering a nicely maintained flower bed. The rate was decent. The only thing that bothered me was that the sign of the motel said free wifi but that's not the case. You have to pay $3 in cash to use the secured wifi network. For those who have mobility issues, this motel might not be good for you since none of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. From the parking lot, you have to walk up ramps and then walk up one step to get into the rooms. The room was a little tight in the entrance way. The inside of the room was clean. Bed was comfortable. There were no outlets by the bed so don't expect to use any electronics if you don't have an extension cord. No breakfast provided. McDs is about three-quarters of a mile to the North.
- Stevie (2/5): Just no. - Don’t waste your money. We were appalled by this hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rude customer service - Pulled up and was flicked off because music was loud (stock speakers in a work truck). Was asked to turn own which we did, The driver did make a comment concerning the radio (not to employee) and the employee though it was towards her. At this point we were flicked off and we lost our reservations without an explanation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Vintage, basic, neat. Mostly clean. - The hotel is vintage. The room was basic, but neat. However, the floors were filthy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not what was shown/advertised on-line - Hotel was not the one shown on-line. Expedia stated "Free Cancellations". We had to pay for two nights that we did not stay, and the staff rented out the room for the same nights!
- sergorte3 (2/5): Stay away....rooms are infested with bedbugs! - Stayed one night in this downtown Ocala motel when all the other motels/hotels along I-75 were full due to a Gator football game in Gainesville that Saturday. They charged me $70 for a room, told me it was "very clean". I had my doubts, but I needed a room and it was getting late. Next morning I woke up with the beginnings of dozens of bedbug bites all over my neck, back, shoulders, arms and head. By mid-afternoon I was covered in painful, inflammed, unsightly red sores. Totally disgusted! Never had this experience before. When I called and spoke to the lady who rented me the room, she told me they "have no bedbugs" and she wouldn't even refund my money. Called Marion County Health Department to complain. Stay as far away as pissible from this bedbug infested place.
- ktyler4972 (6/5): Quiet stay in Ocala - I spent 2 weeks here at this motel. It was a pretty quiet and fairly uneventful stay. The rooms have been updated somewhat with all tile floors. The furniture is older but functional. For the price I couldn't complain. The owners are reasonable people and pretty much leave you alone. This is one of the "better" choices on Pine St. in Ocala.
- corih125 (10/5): Outstanding!!! - This is an older style motel one would expect to find just outside downtown Ocala. But you quickly forget it's not the Hilton as you notice its cleanliness, high level of maintenance and total absence of our nasty Florida insects. The owners were very pleasant, hard working and down to earth. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was quiet and we slept well. We'll be staying there whenever we need lodging in Ocala.
- 166bryanw (6/5): Nice trip to the past. - The hotel is well cared for with recent improvements. Clean and quiet. A blast from the past reminding me of all the motels my parents took me to as a child. Not a resort and not a place to spend several days in without other things to do but very nice for a couple days while seeing the area.
- wetfoot (2/5): Dirty, rude clerk, avoid this hotel - Worst experience ever. This hotel was recommended by booking.com, and as it was late and we were tired after a gators football game we took it. Our room was dirty, and when asked the clerk she was super rude telling us that nothing was wrong and that if we don't like it we can leave, when I asked for a refund, she became really rude yelling that we must leave or she will call the police which we asked her to please do.... at the end she left screaming at us in a foreigner language and dissapear. Net horrible hotel.... horrible experience.
- 7toddh (2/5): narendra desai owner - Very rude to customers and stairs alot. Rents people rooms and then kicks them out
and keeps the money. Narendra has been seen being rude to her and hitting them in
front of customers. Narendra walks around outside and gives rude looks to customers.
Her husband is no better. This business should be permanently closed and narendra and her husband should permitly lose there business license.
- barbiej333 (2/5): The p[cture for the motel posted here is fake - and the female owner treated my wife rudely 15x's in our 2 day stay for no reason, yet sure made me less than comfortable by being overly nice to me , the husband. The owners also went into our room when we were gone, giving my wife hell when we returned from lunch for leaving the air conditioner on.. My brother tried to visit before dinner with his 5 yr old daughter. We were told that we weren't allowed to have guests and if they didn't leave asap we had to leave with no refund.
