• Jean (9/5): Charming hotel. Would definitely stay again! - Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of St Helena. A historical building made into a beautiful hotel with modern finishes that nod to the rustic cowboy. We loved the large room with oversized leather chair & cow hyde ottoman, comfortable bed, Nespresso machine in room with real half & half in the mini fridge (as well as waters, Pellegrino & Izzy’s). Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies before bedtime were incredible! The included breakfast was delicious! Love the Model Bakery English muffins, fruit, locally made yoghurt, granola. The staff were all so friendly & helpful and we even chatted with one of the partner owners about the history of the building. Comfortable and clean accommodation. Highly recommended! We were unable to check in an hour early. The road noise in the morning. (We sleep with ear plugs but still quite loud from room 4)
• Charles (10/5): Perfect for our quick Napa getaway - What a beautiful place. Elegant (and spacious!) room, luxurious bed, incredibly friendly staff. The breakfast was perfectly tasteful, fresh, and satisfying--exactly what you need before a day in wine country (or after 😉). The warm cookies every evening were such a nice touch. We even left something in our room and they were so communicative and helpful and prompt getting it returned to us. 10/10 will definitely stay here again. Can't think of any negatives...maybe the $25/day "amenities fee" that wasn't mentioned anywhere (usually is at least listed, in my experience, as a "pay at property" line when booking--maybe just needs to be updated). Not necessarily a negative--just should be factored in when comparing.

• Yas823 (10/5): A gem of a hotel - We really loved this hotel. Staff were all amazing! Rooms were well cleaned. There was attention to detail in everything down to the little things. We got a glass of wine of arrival and the warm cookies and water provided was a great little touch and much appreciated after a day of wine tasting. Molton brown products in the bathrooms were lovely and the breakfast featured local produce which we found amazing too. There is a health spa just down the road which we also got free access to that had an outdoor heated pool, jacuzzi and gym. Couldn’t fault this hotel. Location wise it was also great, vineyards we wanted to go to were only a short taxi ride. We would definitely recommend staying here!
• Janette (9/5): Rates were great on Booking.com. - The room was clean and spacious and the location was great! We walked to dinner at Farmstead and cocktails at Charlies. Breakfast was included, but we didn't know that there was a chalkboard on one side of the breakfast area that had a few extra items on it. We did enjoy an english muffin and yogurt. Great Coffee!

• alice (9/5): Fabulous downtown hotel in Saint Helena - Great location in downtown St Helena to walk to restaurants and shops. Very friendly check in staff offered us a glass of wine and there were cookies in the lobby when we returned from dinner. Really yummy breakfast with Modal bakery granola, english muffins, yogurt, pastries and egg bites. Definitely will stay here again- great value in the wine country!

While we enjoyed the free breakfast, they mentioned they would have certain items, but we never saw them.

• Stuart (10/5): Wonderful people, charming town, brilliant hotel. - This hotel is perfected located on the Main Street in St Helena, a short walk from pretty much everything - and a short drive to dozens of wonderful vineyards stretching in both directions out of the town. St Helena is quaint and charming, as is the hotel, and the team working here are just wonderful. Carole the concierge was so helpful before our stay and then the guys on site when we were in situ were welcoming, friendly and warm - the room was huge and well appointed and beautifully decorated - the car park was right by the hotel and easy, the spa facility they offer (a short walk down the road) is great - small gym but fine for a vacation work out - I could go on and on - love this hotel, will definitely be back !! Thanks so much for looking after us so well. Only comment is that breakfast is a bit limited - the English muffins were out of this world but truthfully whilst appreciated - not sure this is the highlight !

• Mark (9/5): It’s a really good option to the Valley’s over-priced options. - It was generally a great property—very nice room product and super friendly/helpful staff. Free parking in their private lot. Nespresso machine, bathrobes, slippers, umbrellas, everything. Lots of loud road noise from Hwy 128 (it’s basically Main Street of St Helena). You definitely need to request a room on the back side of the hotel. Also, a minimalist continental breakfast. We had to eat breakfast out.

Rooms are clean, however we were placed in an ADA-compliant room (maybe bc I booked on Expedia) so shower wasn’t as convenient but they had a nespresso coffee maker, and fresh baked cookies and waters in the evening. I would stay here again for the location.

• Weiyi (8/5): - The positive points of staying at WyDown hotel: This hotel is located in St Helena’s downtown on Main Street, even though hotel’s in a old building, but its lobby and rooms look very nice and very clean, it’s managers and staffs are well trained, they are friendly, and always willing to help. The first day after my husband and I arrived at WyDown, we couldn’t rest in peace because the heavy traffic noise from outside our room’s windows. The next morning I got an email from manager Michael, who promising to let us change room, by the afternoon we were able to move into a much quiet room. I’m very happy for hotel management’s quick response to our situation. Here’s some suggestions for the hotel: 1) improve the insulation of hotel’s windows 2) replace room’s tv screen to the wall which facing the bed’s headboard, not to the side of the bed. 3) add some simple morning bread toast or cereals in hotel’s continental breakfast
• Royce (10/5): - Room was lovely and spacious. The bed was amazing the best night of kid free sleep ever. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderfully light breakfast in the morning with a selection of yogurts locally made English muffins egg bites and juice. Would stay here again.

• Bonnie (10/5): Great property, great location, and great friendly employees - Location is great in downtown Saint Helena. Everything was clean. The rooms were very comfortable and it was nice having a designated parking area. The chocolate chip cookies were good at night and the breakfast on site was great. We enjoyed speaking with Irwin who checked us in and was very friendly and had lots of information about the area. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing I didn’t like in the room was the skylight above, which brought in the sunlight early in the morning while I was trying to sleep.

• Expattraveler100 (8/5): Nice option - Boutique property on Main with free parking in the rear of the hotel. The rooms are a good size but I found it dark (room 8). The “resort fee” gave you cold water in fridge and use of a pool/gym about 12 minutes walk away. Breakfast was disappointing as the variety was minimal. The towels and beds are lovely. The staff are great too. With taxes and fees it’s over $400 a night - but you are in the Napa Valley!

• johnwE3723HK (10/5): Amazing small boutique hotel - Amazing small boutique hotel in the quaint town of St.Helena. The room we had was very clean, comfortable and had great air conditioning for a hot summer day. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the front desk. We were very early for check-in but they offered the use of any amenities while waiting. The location is perfect walking distance to many restaurants and a couple tasting rooms as well as a winery or two. Also in walking distance is a trail on the Napa trail system that is amazing. The complimentary breakfast has a wide variety of options from a local bakery as well as other yogurts, granola, etc. Amazing small hotel that truly makes their costumers feel welcome.

• Jeanne (9/5): Serene and pleasant. - The location is excellent. Right on Main Street. We were able to walk to lots of restaurants. The included breakfast is limited, but of high quality. We found all of the employees to be solicitous and proactive in taking care of us. Our room (ADA compliant) was surprising large. They don't have door keys. You have to use your own phone. Very annoying if, like me, you don't carry a cellphone all the time.

The photos are very misleading since there is a photo of a pool but if you read the description it says NEARBY pool. Apparently, it’s a few blocks away and accessible through a card you can get from the front desk.
