- Alan (5/5): Convenient, inexpensive stay for work - Friendly staff. Quiet A bit run-down
- Herman (8/5): -
- George (6/5): -
- Welch (10/5): - The bed was extremely comfortable & the room was very clean
- Crystal (10/5): - Loved it all! Would definitely come back. Some noise from the highway. They can't help that.
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Richard (6/5): - Nice Staff..... clean rooms.... quiet.....easy to get into the room from parking lot..... No ice or vending machines....no cups or coffee maker in room.....bed was way too high to get into comfortably....no tissues......

- kevin (10/5): - Awesome service and room.

- marques (10/5): -
- Pam (4/5): - The window blind was broken which caused bright lights to shine in our room all night.
- Tammie (7/5): Beds were very comfortable - Non applicable The walls were nasty and stained and dirty looking.
- Xueping (6/5): - The blinds don’t completely cover the windows
- Amy (1/5): Owner having sex with his wife, could hear everything. Walls EXTREMELY THIN - The property was SO DIRTY. It was disgusting to take a shower and there was dust on everything. They need to set the building on fire and rebuild. Was so disgusting. Owner was having loud sex with his wife on the other side of the wall. How embarrassing, and I could hear the UNDERWEAR band snap when they were finished. That’s how thin the walls were.
- Segvich (6/5): -
- Amber (10/5): - The hosts Nothing bad
- Lawrence Carver (7/5): Affordable, basic, clean, perfect for a stop for a night. - safe, cheap, quiet, clean, exactly what you need from a good basic hotel. keep places like this alive by going to them, just don't expect beyond those items and you should have a decent time. probably could have used some more soap in the bathroom? it would be nice to have better keys or more locks on the door at least.
- William (2/5): Don't stay there! - The guy that checked me in was rude. Absolutely everything down to the wash cloths was excessively old and worn. The furniture looked like is was picked out of rubage on the side of the road. The TV didn't even work at all. Very smelly well water. I highly recommend finding a way better room for a couple more dollars a couple miles up the road
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant -
- jerry (6/5): - It was quiet and "clean". There were only cockroach legs in dresser and no entire carcases. No signs of bedbugs. There was not a heavy smell of mold, but there was a heavy lingering of bug spray, odor neutralizer, and air freshener. You will definitely get what you pay for and no crawlies you didn't ask for.
- John (8/5): - Rustic feel
- Dominiak (10/5): Exceptional - We like everything everything is good clean peacefully
- Amber (1/5): Worst place besides the dunes in! - Nothing really Smelled terrible no water bed way smaller then a queen dirty shower floor and walls dirty toilet
- Gregory (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trent (6/5): - Man it wasn't great. There is an attached apartment where someone owns a large dog which did not stop barking because the owner was not there. So i asked to switch rooms several times before i was moved to a room away from the attached apartment. The staff was understanding and friendly but it just was not a good night sleep. If the staff/ owners? Hadn't been so kind it was not worth the 20$savings.
- Rebecca (10/5): Cozy hotel room with friendly service - My adult children and I spent the night on short notice as we were moving. The service was friendly amd the room was clean and stocked. There were a few minor damaged areas, but they did not affect the functionality of the room. The beds were comfortable and a microwave and minifridge were available. The price was right. I would stay again.
- Luke (2/5): - I hated everything and they didn't understand me when I talked.
- Charlise (3/5): A lot of false advertising would not be back here again. Md - The price was the only good thing. The rooms were not anything like advertised and certain features such as the shower were dirty and moldy. Bed was a full instead of a Queen and the room was a lot smaller than pictured.
- Kendra (10/5): Exceptional - Very cozy and comfortable
- Matt (10/5): - Nice owners. Clean room. Good value.
- Nathan (1/5): Bad - Nothing The staff did not do anything about me complaining about the noise from the next door neighbors being really really loud and they would not refund my money I would not recommends place for anybody
- Collins (10/5): It was what we needed - I like the view and lake setting also room was adorable
- Selissa (10/5): Nice stay at coolsprings inn in michigan city indi - I was a pretty good experience. Its fairly clean and nicely kept. And it smelled good when we walked in the room. Like fresh cleaning supplies. And the bed wasnt that comfortable or the pullows but it was an okay experience i guess. We keep comubg and getting rom here hecauee its peaceful and we like the area of where its located. But yeah overall it wasnt a bad experience at all. Its always worth the miney that we spend on the rooms that we end up getting. And its not a bad price at all neither but yeah i kinda liked it here. And it is pretty chill to. Not alot of people or anythi g there to ge loud ir bug you. So yeah j was happy qith everything pretty much.
- Sterken (8/5): IT WAS A PLEASANT OVERNIGHT STAY - rural location--quiet at night I HAD TROUBLE WITH THE TV CONTROLS--I HAD TO TURN THE TV -WITH ONE REMOTE -AND THEN-MOVE THE CHANNELS WITH ANOTHER REMOTE.. THIS IS TOO COMPLICATED FOR MOST PEOPLE--BUT- STAFF SHOWED ME HOW TO OPERATE THE REMOTES--AND-IT WORKED ALL RIGHT
- Ethanadkins (7/5): Good -
- Kendra (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Drucella (4/5): - None
- Rebekah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tiffany (5/5): Passable - The bed was comfortable The toilet didn't seem to be flushing all the way.The shower head looked like rust was on parts of it and the water smelled off no sure what was wrong. No pictures were on the walls.
- Shannon (2/5): - This was not at all as expected. The building is very run down and there is clutter (old cars, scrap wood/metal, furniture) all around the outside. The room itself was musty. The water smelled like rotten eggs. The sheets were stained, as well as marks on the walls and ceilings. No free toiletries and household wash cloth and towel given. The tv did have some cable but only in Spanish. There were people walking around the cars and building at night. I felt very unsafe. I didn’t even shower or walk in the room without shoes on. They may say they’re doing renovations but it is nothing but a run down, family owned, dirty cheap place to sleep. No amenities at all. Would not recommend.
- Greanias (6/5): It was decent stay for the one night we needed while driving ti the dunes and our first optionfell. - The staff was very nice during check-in. Lots of a counter space. Plenty of outlets. The shower head was not pleasant toook at. It was very built up with a mix of things. Definitely did not want to accidentally drink any of that water. The shades used next for the front door and bent in and when laying in bed someone could easily walk by and look into the room. I did not feel super safe regarding that.
- Linda (4/5): - The office for check in was messy, cluttered and unprofessional. It almost caused us to decide not to stay. The room smelled strongly of air freshener layered over the smell of previous smokers. The bathroom shower was badly in need of replacing and the soap dispenser was empty. Bath towels were thin and worn. If we weren’t exhausted from traveling and staying longer than just overnight, we would have left. No breakfast. Not worth the cost
- Carolyn (5/5): Have stayed here in the past and it was nice, clean, good value. It has been a few years and the price almost doubled si -
- Alyssa (5/5): Passable - Very friendly staff. Place is very run down. They did tell us at check in that it was under construction. But picture online is very misleading
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Gregory (9/5): It’s very relaxing. - The country setting. The water.
- Edwards (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darlene (7/5): It's getting there - Ok the location was nice, close to Michigan City without being in the middle of a crazy amount of people. There is a beautiful view of a farm. Very relaxing. They are in the middle of a remodel so it was really messy outside while they cleared rooms to redo. I have serious hope for this little mom and pop place. It's nice to support the little guys instead of the corporate people. Oh and the mattress was brand new and not super hard. My husband likes harder beds I like squishy beds and this was the perfect mix. The staff are very sweet but look overwhelmed. All the mess and the smell of cleaner. Not good for people with asthma or scent sensitivities. Clean up the area by guests and move the other stuff out of sight. Maybe build a privacy wall and hide the mess. Little effort for a huge impact. The metal band under the bed has to go. We kept waking in the night from little clicks when we moved in our sleep. Screwing pieces of wood together would do the same trick. Oh and redo the office properly. It was not inviting and actually scared me upon check in. First impressions are everything. You have a cute little room to stay in. Fix the rest of the little things and you can have a beautiful place for people to stay. It really is mostly cleanup. Oh and getting rid of the pallet step.
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Lucyna (5/5): Passable - Overall was clean I didn’t like the grounds , outside of the house was very outdated, needs a lot of work and cleaning
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Michal (8/5): - Cute, little spot in Michigan City 20 minutes from the Indiana Dunes.
- Tiffany (7/5): Well worth the money. - Price, cleanliness, newly remodeled. Proximity to the road, my room was up front so it was rather loud.
- Anita (6/5): Okay and safe. - Pulling up you could see the place waa being worked but not activly at that minute. The door to the officw waa locked and looking in it Looked more like a storage closet than a lobby. Since we weren't sure what to do we went around to the other side where we heard a lady yelling that she would be right there she and 2 men and a child and a dog were coming from the Courtyard. The dog was on a leash but the lady just kept saying he's friendly he's friendly but didn't really make any attempt to keep the dog away from us which was OKI guess if you are a dog lover. They checked us in and gave us a key and showed us to our room. The step up to the room was a pallet that seemed to be rotting and was very weak with a rug thrown on top of it. There was a tiresome and a table in chairs outside our window which again was fine just awkward for people to be hanging out right outside your window. The room was very clean looking however had a extremely strong chemical cleaner smell that gave me a headache. The bed Was very comfortable. Two towels were proveded in a small sheft that were well used but appeared clean. Another towel of a different color waa hanging on the back of the bathroom door, not sure if it was clean or used. Hot water, cold AC and parking close to room. Maybe qhen thwy di ish renovation we qould consider a revisit but they have a lot of propeety clean up to do.
- Michael (7/5): Good - It's a pretty quiet place to get away for the night, The rooms are pretty small, if you plan on spending time in your room I would definitely get a bigger room.
- Naomi (10/5): - I love the cabin look and how cozy the rooms were. I only wished the AC had a constant fan function, my room was by the main road, so it was pretty noisy.
- Morgan (10/5): Exceptional - Every thing No alarm clock
- Samantha (4/5): - I would say this place is perfect if you are looking for a quick bed to sleep in with little expectations.
- Angie (6/5): Motel room was very clean. Could definitely use some updates that outside had a lot of things laying around that could b - It was close to town and out in the country very quiet, which was nice Could definitely use some cleaning up outside lots of the Things laying around
- Bill (2/5): Very poor -
- Amber (1/5): Never again trust reviews online - We pulled into the parking lot and honestly felt like we were in a horror movie. There were mattress along with other furniture sitting outside. Can’t say much about the inside as we decided we weren’t staying there after pulling in the place.
- Merrick (7/5): Good -
- Kevin (2/5): Very poor -
- Alvin (9/5): Superb - The staff was wonderful.
- anne (2/5): - Paint coming of the ceiling and uncomfortable bedding
- Tabatha (10/5): - The view from the delux room is absolutely amazing especially in the morning looking out the door & seeing the field with all the wild life & the tire swing gives it an amazing rustic view!! Only issue i had was i have a messed up ankle and they used a pallet as a step to get into the room & it was very weak I almost fell walking acrossed it!! That should be fixed asap but other than that theyre absolutely amazing!!!
- Greg (1/5): Not sure about the other rooms but this room was a nightmare. - Can't answer this question. The sheets were threadbare and had holes in them. The air conditioning did not work. The TV was not working properly. There was a trickle of water pressure. I apparently got the last room and they were remodeling, perhaps the other rooms are improved, but this one was a disaster.
- Frank (8/5): Very good -
- Tabatha (8/5): - Very rustic appeal inside and out. Only downfall i really seen was the carpenter bees right at our door. We also didnt notice an ice machine but all & all a cute little place to get away for a few days! Also bring extra pillows if you need more than one to sleep on!!
- Michelle (2/5): - They had a working ice machine.
The unit I stayed it was not cleaned very well. Spiderwebs everywhere, hair ball in the shower, microwave was disgusting.
I’d recommend spending more money and staying elsewhere.
- Keith (3/5): Quiet and inexpensive but far from a 3 star hotel. - It was quiet and close to where I was working. It was inexpensive. It was small. Not cleaned very well. Of particular concern, the sheets didn't appear to have been laundered. The room had an unfavorable odor, perhaps mainly a mix of well water and generic cleaners. The pillows were very small and thin. The water and drains smelled like rural well water. It definitely was not a 3 star hotel and it was apparent starting with the office not being very clean and confirmed by the room.
- Selissa (6/5): The motel stay. - Well when we entered the room we noticed that they didn't have clean sheets on the bed but yeah I guess it was okay though. It was okay I guess it had nasty walls and stuff like that. But yeah anyways overall it was okay. It's okay though I mean it was a good stay there I guess.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Basting (9/5): Superb -
- Latoya (1/5): I stayed but the bed was horrible. Nice location . - Location Sheets were filthy. Had to find to find manager to get more sheets and comforter. I have pictures. They were disgusting.
- Gregory (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aleksei (2/5): A poor man pays twice: once for this stay, another for bed bug removal. - Bed bugs
- Jones (9/5): Superb -
- Lafrinere (2/5): Very poor -
- Alrica (1/5): The heater was a portable window unit for heat or cold. The tall ceiling made it hard to heat the room. It was cold when - Very unfriendly Nothing
- Marty (2/5): Very poor - None No staff to check in called no answer.waited 20 minutes then went to stay somewhere else.
- Marty (8/5): Very good -
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- Marty (8/5): Good - Great staff
- Marty (9/5): Superb -
- Bryan (8/5): Lil place outside town - Room was nice, incredible value but bedding etc could be refreshed - The room had some recent remodel that made it rustic - nice and it was in the country with view of farmlands ;)
- Marty (9/5): Superb -
- Marty (9/5): Superb - Great little hideaway
- Suzieqh (9/5): Superb -
- Mauro (7/5): Good place to stay for 1 night if you are traveling by. - Very good place to pass the night, considering the low price. The room is old and furniture too. Shower water has a weird smell!
- Gregory (10/5): Pleasant - The rural location. Well water.
- Bill (3/5): The property look nice but they had bed bugs & ceiling trap door left open for mosquitoes to get in. - The property looked nice. Sheets were stained & didn't look clean. Then later in the evening I discovered that there were bed bugs, I didn't end up sleeping in the bed but stayed the night sleeping on a chair. Tap water had lead pipe taste.
- Jessica (2/5): - My room had bedbugs! Covered from arms to shoulders in bites! Will never go back! Could see them on the way when I woke up!
- JOAN (4/5): - The manager escorted us to our room. She was very nice. She stated she had just cleaned the room and had a window open to air out after spraying room. We ended up calling just after midnight because of loud talking and music blaring. It stopped but started again a couple hours later. Also, trains went thru hourly. Located on a very busy highway which we basically heard all night. It was a good value but unless you can sleep through anything I would not recommend. We didnt sleep at all and ended up leaving before 6am.
- Gregory (9/5): Superb -
- Balas (5/5): Passable -
