• Dennise (5/5): Ok little motel nothing fancy, very thin walls! - Property was very close to town and allowed dogs. They also weren’t crazy expensive. Dog area and grass was nice. Bed wasn’t too hard and towels were a good size. Lady at the counter was super nice Room was clean but pretty shabby/worn. I’m sure they put me in a dog room. Tiles on floor were peeling up. Wall had patches that were really badly done. Bathroom window had no screen or partial lock to crack it open without it being wide open to anyone on the not so safe looking side st. Curtin had a stain or spot on it. TV wouldn’t connect to internet in the evening. Very, very thin walls- could hear people talking and walking around next door! Only had shower no tub and very small.

• Adrienne (8/5): Super friendly, not fancy, perfect wood retreat. - The room was big. Not fancy. But just perfect. 2 beds. It had microwave, coffee pot, and a fridge. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We got water from the office every morning. That was a huge bonus, as we were hiking and needed the water. This hotel is perfectly situated between Lassen and Shasta mountains. It’s quiet, quaint and with just a few stores for food, etc. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the woods.

• Robert N (6/5): - There are very limited hotel/motel options in this area. It is an older facility. Bedding was good. However the tub ran continuously keeping my wife awake all evening and the sink would not drain properly. It is conveniently located in reasonable proximity to the Burney Falls which is a must see if staying here.
• Anne (10/5): Easy drive from Lassen - Convenient location after hiking in Lassen. Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. The room was comfortable.
• FNU (2/5): - The bedding/linen was very dirty and someone had stepped on the beds leaving full figured muddy shoe prints on the beds. The on-call manager checked out the room and agreed that it was pretty bad. However, they did not have any alternate rooms or staff on call to change my bedding. I was given new linen and expected to change it myself. The change of linen was equally dirty and unwashed which makes me think recycling old linen without washing is a regular practice here. Avoid staying here. The on-call manager Marissa had promised me a refund, which never came and now the hotel is not responding.

• Gillian (3/5): Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend - Decent location for Burney Falls & for Lassen NP. Spacious rooms. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Rooms were dirty (eg sheets stained and floor left everything covered in dust) and rooms showed substantial signs of wear and age - multiple bathroom cracks, wall stains, broken blinds etc. External door had gaps all the way round.

• Charmaine Mankey (8/5): Sweet Sleep - This is a fun little place near Burney Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls I've ever encountered. The motel was sweet, with decent ammenities comfy bed, dark curtains, close parking space. I knew I'd be dry camping soon, so this was almost a little piece of heaven. It's basic, so don't expect the 4 Seasons. It's priced appropriately and hotel management can't control the barking dogs across the street in the back of the motel. It's cute and country; it served its purpose well. It could have been just a little cleaner. The tile grout in the shower had some black spots. Otherwise it was clean.

I like fresh air, and wanted windows opened. The "air freshener" device was very stinky; I am very sensitive to such things. I had to put it outside. Maybe you should review your policy about using such things in the rooms.

• Wenda (10/5): Shasta Pines was a good choice for Lassen Nat'l Pk - We were there for 3 nights.The clerk at the desk was most accommodating and friendly. The room was clean, quiet except for the last night when our neighbor had the TV on all night. Location was convenient for Lassen Nat'l Park and the necessities in town were sufficient.

• Patricia (2/5): - This motel offered the bare minimum. There was no hair dryer or phone in the room. Also, the front desk staff was difficult to locate. We stayed for 2 nights. After returning from an outing, our bed was unmade, nor were the bathroom or floors cleaned; however, our television was on. It was creepy. Also, the first night, some guests decided to have a party in the parking lot. Of course there wasn’t any staff around to ask them to keep in down. We were very disappointed in this motel.

Was hoping to get one day credit back since they gave our room to a stranger, who walked in on me while I was in my boxers. But nope. Lesson learned. Hard pass on this one.

• Denise (8/5): - It was okay. The front desk was very nice. Wanted leave after one night had booked for 2 nights. He didnt charge me for the second night. I was surprised and thankful. Wasnt feeling good and just wanted to go home. Checked out 4 waterfalls.

• gregori (4/5): - The owner was hard to locate most times...there was no table in our room and we had to insist he find one to bring in to use. Our air conditioner was put in back wards. paint peeling off wall in shower. Not a good experience.

• Ana (8/5): - Hours on door stated closed at 7:00, arrived before 7:00 p.m. and doors were locked. No keys in lock box but manager arrived to help, and he was nice and helpful. Our bathroom sink drained very slowly and the bathroom had just one dim overhead light, but the shower had good pressure. Overall a good place for us to stay on our trip.
