Wasn't very busy so was very quiet (which i loved) Shower drain seemed clogged as water wasn't draining properly, water ended up topping to the edge of door. Wasn't enough to downgrade my rating though, just a heads up.

• Marlene (9/5): - Cooles Hostel mit top Lage. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr familiär und gemütlich. Küche und Lounge sind sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Ich habr mich sehr zu Hause gefühlt. Keine Kritik, bloss als Anmerkung: ich hatte ein Doppelzimmer zu hinterst im Gebäude. Direkt darunter befinden sich Restaurants und vorallem am Wocheende kann es da etwas lauter werden.

Staff were nice, easy check in/check out. Close to nice cafes and restaurants, beach, wharf, walks. There were some small questionable marks/stains around the room - but otherwise very clean. Walls are quite thin, but the other guests respected quiet hours.

• TAMNA (9/5): - 위치가 최고, 인터시티 버스정류장 바로 맞은편이라 매우 접근성이 좋아요. 인근에 포스퀘어, 푸드코트, 페리터미널이 있어서 머물기 너무 좋아요. 시설의 경우 샤워실이 남녀공용이나 칸이 분리되어 있어 크게 불편함 없었어요. 주방, 휴게공간, 화장실 등 공용공간이 매우 깨끗하게 관리되고 있어요. 특히 휴게공간과 주방에서 보는 뷰가 참 멋있었어요. 체크인이 오후 6시즈음 마감되는데 메세지로 셀프체크인 안내가 사전에 다 되더라구요. 파이히아에 또 방문하게 된다면 저는 주저없이 다시 하카 하우스를 선택할거예요~ 없습니다.

• Christoph (5/5): Preis / Leistung passt hier leider gar nicht :( - Die Lage war super, das Personal freundlich Es ist irgendwie alles in die Jahre gekommen, nicht wirklich sauber und für den Preis einfach zu teuer.
• Meghna (8/5): Waterviews - Clean and modern, fully furnished. Spacious shared areas, great waterfront location in Paihia Town. In peak summer the doms didn't have ventilation or windows so it was too hot to sleep at night.

• Griffin (8/5): Beautiful hostel with some flaws - The location was very central and the kitchen and lounge was huge. The showers were amazing. The airco in the hallway did not work at all. So it was bloody warm. Further the room did not have any window so it was sleeping in a sauna. We let the door open but because of the airco in the hallway that did not work no airflow was coming inside the room even though the door was open. I needed to sleep on and off in the living room because the dormroom was so warm.

• Véronique (7/5): Espaces communs magnifiques, chambre exiguë - La vue époustouflante, la table commune en bois fabuleuse , la déco de la salle commune, la cuisine géante, un accueil sympathique, bienveillant. La taille exiguë de la chambre de 4, la difficulté de monter et descendre du lit en hauteur à 72 ans, surtout la nuit. Le placard sous le lit est impraticable, nul, inutilisable. Chaud dans la chambre, ventilateur en continu, vue pourrie sur les tuyaux....
• JOSEPHINE (9/5): Great views - Lovely hostel. Byron manager very helpful and welcoming. Everywhere really clean. Fabulous location with great views over the bay. Theres a fridge and freezer in the kitchen. The fridge is marked staff only but the freezer section doesnt have any such marking. I put some food in the freezer section but when i returned at end of day it had been removed and had defrosted so i had to dump it.It would appear freezer section is only for staff also, this needs to be identified.
• Sybille (8/5): Unschlagbare Lage - Tolle Lage, in der Ortsmitte, direkt gegenüber vom Pier. Vom Gemeinschaftsraum hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Bucht. Sehr nette Mitarbeitende. Grundsätzlich ist das Hostel prima allerdings sind die Zimmer sehr klein und die Belüftung funktioniert nur mittelmäßig, d.h. die Luft in den Zimmern ist schlecht und es ist in der Regel sehr warm, trotz der ständig laufenden Ventilatoren.

• Matt (5/5): Too warm to sleep on a day where the max was 22 degrees.. - The location is incredibly central The rooms are verrry small for a backpackers/ hostel and had minimal openable windows plus no air conditioning or ceiling fans. Our room was therefore uncomfortably warm during the day and too warm to sleep at night. We went and purchased a pedestal fan to help the inadequate fan they had in the room. It was 22 degrees on 2 of the days so not exactly warm.

• Annette (9/5): - Ein zweimaliges Upgrade! Unglaublich! Ich hatte ursprünglich einen 6er female dorm gebucht, aber zusammen mit einer Freundin bin ich dann einen Tag früher gekommen und für die eine Nacht hatte ich dann ein DoZi und erst wurde mir angeboten, in dem Zimmer zu bleiben und später durfte ich dann noch in ein viel besseres Zi wechseln! Ohne Aufpreis! Ausserdem hat mir die riesige Küche und die Lounge mit der fantastischen Aussicht gefallen! Zi Nr. 11, in dem man das Fenster nicht öffnen konnte. Uns wurde allerdings schon vorher gesagt, dass das Zi nicht besonders gut ist... und das stimmte leider.
• Robert (9/5): - Juste en face du terninus d'autobus. Très propre et le personnel est super serviable. Ma chambre était assez grande. Grande salle à manger/cuisine et salon confortable. Le centre médical est au 1er étage si on en a besoin. On est près de tout. Très bonne chambre de bain dans la chambre a ec douche. Ma chambre était un four durant la journée car le soleil pénètre les 2 côtés où il y a de grandes fenêtres. Même avec les rideaux, il faisait très chaud.
• Wills81 (6/5): Prima verblijf maar neem een kamer met een raam. - Mooi uitzicht vanuit de keuken/woonkamer. Onze kamer had geen raam, was erg benauwd en vanuit de badkamer kwam een onprettige lucht. Hopelijk heb je daar in de winter geen last van.

• Cleo (10/5): Fabulous - Amazing view from the communal area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean. Great location. I will recommend this place to others 100%! Even for the 40+ age group, excellent value for money! There wasn't anything!

• V_Giaco (6/5): Central location - The staff was really nice, and the kitchen was spacious with really nice views. The hostel is located in a central area, so it is near all the shops, supermarket and restaurants. Very convenient. I stayed in two different rooms shared female room and a private room with an ensuite. The shared room was so tiny and so hot was impossible to be comfortable, and move around to reach your bags in the storage under the beds. They do provide a fan in the room, but it did not do the job. Walking down the aisle, all the doors were open, and I assume everyone was feeling the same way. The private ensuite room was ok, but not very clean; all the furniture was full of dust, and the shower was not the cleanest either.
