For guests arriving by car, drive up Yashima Driveway to reach the property located on the peak of Mount Yahima. Please note there is an additional fee for parking. As there are no means of transport available after the gate closes at 22:00, please check-in before 21:00.

- HIROKO (2/5): 二度と利用したく無い。旅の疲れが倍増する。 - 部屋の広さとベッドや調度品は最低限揃えてあり問題はありませんでした ホテルのアクセスがわかりにくく、他県からの旅行者にはたどりつけない。 駐車場もホテルの駐車場ではなく、矢島観光駐車場の為駐車場からホテル迄300メートル位山道を荷物抱えて暗い夜道を歩き、途中の飲食店に場所を確認してやっとたどり着いた。その上部屋へはエレベーターも無く階段をまた荷物持って疲れた。 部屋のシャワー室は狭い。

This is a vey old hotel, and as such it falls far short of expextations of guests who are accustomed to modern style hospitality. The brekfast food is delivered to your room, which is a Japanese style rice balls and miso soup, a very disappointing experience.

- xvivi_2000 (8/5): - 酒店位于屋岛的山顶，酒店可以看到濑户内海和高松市区夜景，据说也观看日落的绝佳之处，可惜我们去的时候天气不好看不到。住的当天有大风。大到类似台风那种，我订了海景间，感觉整个房间都在颤抖，风呜呜得吹，心想着这下晚上可怎么睡，幸运的是去外面洗浴中心泡个澡回来，风变小了，总算睡个安稳觉了。 房间隔音不太好，对门住的一个家庭小孩一早就在哭闹，我被吵醒了。

- Lydia (10/5): Fabulous place! - Wow, what a place! On the top of a remote mountain. The decor is LOVELY! The view is INCREDIBLE! The dinner is a great experience for westerners, complete with soothing piano music. I would have loved to stay longer than one night. The beds had matress warmers and luscious duvet. Great shampoo and body wash quality. Just a great unique place to stay for a serene experience. I loved it, but you should know that if you are coming by train, the shuttle bus' last run up to the mountain top is 4 pm and you can't easily come down without a huge taxi expense. So plan to stay put and enjoy the dinner, trails, views. First morning shuttle to go down is 10 am
- Lydia (10/5): wonderful hotel with ambiance and scenic experiences - I would give a 12 if I could! Really cool hotel. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable and excitingly remote, high up on Mt. Yashima. Be sure to reserve dinner with your room, and get up to the mountaintop by last shuttle about 3:30. Hike, walk, sit and enjoy the view, just soak in the serenity. You will walk through a temple complex to get to your hotel and it is very pretty area. There are some ice cream shops/cafes mid day, but not evening or morning. Limited access times to shuttle bus to get up and down the mountain. Plan accordingly. But don't let this deterr you from going. It's a GREAT PLACE!

- HARUKA (8/5): 晴れていたのでとてもよかったです！ - 景色がとてもよかったです。併設されている綺麗な建物には無料で入場でき、夕暮れ時をゆっくり楽しむことができました。客室も広々しており快適でした。 受付から先へはスリッパへの履き替えが必要で、２階客室へは階段での移動となるため何度も出入りするには少し不便でした。 無料駐車場からの移動は暗くなってからでは少し怖いと感じます。道はかなり狭いですが有料でホテル前の駐車場を予約することをお勧めします。 他の客室の話し声が結構聞こえたので気になる方もいると思いました。

- Helen (9/5): Very relaxed. - Staff spoke English. They were very helpful and made sure we were happy and comfortable. The dinner was excellent. The room was spacious and had a private onsen area and a seating area with great views. Bed was very comfortable. Great location for sightseeing and enjoying the views. There was no breakfast provided but that was something we were aware of before booking. So we brought some food with us. It did not make a big difference in the end as dinner was very substantial.

- Carlo (10/5): - Die Aussichtsplattform vor dem Hotel bietet einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Stadt, den Hafen und die vielen Inseln im Meer. Wir haben ein Zimmer mit Blick auf die Bucht gebucht, es kostet zwar etwas mehr, ist es aber absolut wert – man kann sich in einem bequemen Sessel entspannen und den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Das Zimmer war geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, Bad war renoviert. Am besten besorgt man sich Abendessen und Getränke schon vor der Ankunft, da das Hotel auf einem Berg in einem Nationalpark liegt und man nach 22:00 Uhr nicht mehr hinauffahren kann, weil der Nationalpark geschlossen ist. Das Personal im Hotel war wirklich sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man parkt das Auto auf dem Hauptparkplatz des Nationalparks, kann aber kurz zum Hotel fahren, um das Gepäck auszuladen (bitte unbedingt die Anweisungen des Hotels befolgen). Früh am Morgen kann man den nahegelegenen Tempel vor allen anderen besuchen und die Aussicht genießen, bevor es zu voll wird. Frühstück könnte umfangreicher sein. Im Angebot gibt Onigiri Reisbällchen mit Algen und einer Dose grünen Tee oder ein Protein-Riegel

- Kaiti (9/5): 飯店位在離山腳繁華處15分鐘車程，離塵不離城。住宿地點可搭公車，但自行開車絕對更方便，自家車可以停在公有停車場再走五分鐘到飯店(飯店會代為支付停車費)，或停在飯店的停車格(一晚800日圓)。 - 可以在房間欣賞瀨戶內海的晨昏，景色一流。晚餐是壽喜燒，很豐盛，友善素食者。房間的空間很大，廁所與床鋪都很乾淨，店家有準備電毯，睡得很舒服。 晚上睡覺時海風大，窗戶一直顫動格格作響。希望能更新成隔音防風窗。

- Gregory (8/5): An unusual and attractive location, a bit of an adventure, good value - I enjoyed my stay at Bokaiso Hotel very much. I wanted a location out of the way, something different than a standard hotel, and it fit very well. I had a large and attractive room looking out over the bay and the city of Takamatsu. The bed was comfortable, the bath very nice, heating very good. There are only 8 or 9 rooms, all different; only some look out on the bay. It is not a full-service hotel, but almost more of a B&B (although the main meal is dinner, not breakfast, if one chooses that option). Dinner is chicken sukiyaki, which we cook ourselves at our table. If you stay multiple nights, there may be another option for later nights but sukiyaki is the default. I found it a large portion for one person, and very good. There was also a tasty side dish of fugu karaage. Breakfast is very limited; if you request, they will deliver two nigiri (rice balls) outside your door in the morning, for a small fee. I added an instant miso, and there was good (instant, but drip) coffee in the room. The lady at the desk speaks good English, so language will not be an issue for most international travelers. The hotel is likely to appeal to people who like to walk. On my first morning, I explored the Yashima temple (number 84 on the route of 88 Shikoku temples), and then walked down the pilgrimmage path to Yashima. The path is paved in stone all the way, steep in sections, and fun to walk on. I considered visiting Shikoku Village, which is at the base of Mt Yashima, but decided to spend the day at Risturin Koen, a few stops away on the train. (Ritsuriin Koen is a wonderful park, btw.) The location is rather remote, and public transportation is limited. The last local bus leaves Yashima train station for the summit just after 4 pm. A taxi should be availble as a backup (although I did not use one). If you are not at all familiar with transport in Japan, or if you want many a bigger menu for dinner or breakfast, this may not be the right place to stay.

- Yuchen (10/5): 2025瀨戶內海藝術祭期間，海景雙人房價5500元台幣/晚，附簡單的雙飯糰🍙早餐，非藝術祭期間應該是3千元左右，不趕行程的話推薦住一晚。 - 這裡的夕陽入選為「日本夕陽百選」，想要看夕陽和夜景，或是一早起床拉開窗簾就看到瀨戶內海，非常推薦住在望海莊。 雙人房的空間寬敞，比起日本市區的旅館要大很多，浴室和廁所分開，使用很方便。海景房提供小露台，可以走到外面看海景，也可以在房間舒服地放空。因為是海景房，所以看夕陽會西曬，要備好防曬。 需要注意，因位在國家公園裡，服務台10:00-15:00沒有人值班，必須下午3點入住、上午10點退房。

- Reiko (10/5): 景色最高‼️また行きたい‼️ - お部屋の家具のセンス、清潔感、電気毛布や脱衣場にヒーターが用意してあったりと、配慮がすごい‼️ お部屋からの瀬戸内海がキレイ過ぎる‼️景色が最高です‼️ 晩御飯のすき焼きも鶏肉がとても美味しかった❗ 料金も高くないし、とっても満足です❕また行きたいと思う宿でした。 特にないです

- 靖博(Yasuhiro) (2/5): 残念 - 瀬戸内海を一望できるロケーションは抜群 「朝食付き」とうたっているが、朝食はおにぎり小が2個とインスタント味噌汁のみ。宿前の駐車場に停めると800円取られる。強風の日の宿泊だったためもあるが、窓のガタつき音が酷くて、安眠できなかった。

- Anthea (10/5): - This hotel is very special. It's a short walk up but you can drive by car to unload the luggage. The view from our room was extraordinary. We booked the dinner plan which was delicious. The staff were very nice.
- 村部 (8/5): ロケーションGOOD！清潔感GOOD！ - 夕食も多からず、少なからず良かったです。 部屋もとても清潔でした。ロケーションもよく、部屋も広くベットも広く また泊まりたい施設です 部屋が広すぎて、暖房がきかず、とても寒い思いをしました。 布団に電気毛布はついているのですが、部屋の広さに暖房が小さいように思います。 冬は、足元から温められるものがあればいいと思います。 私は、電気毛布は要らなかったですが、小さい足元ヒーターが欲しかったです。
- SIEW WAH (8/5): Overall, had a good stay. - The location, with excellent view of the city and sea below. Great view of the full moon and its bright light shimmering off the waters of the Seto Sea. Top quality toiletries, heater blanket. Staff made exception for parking outside the hotel. There was no decent warm breakfast available. Only a light snack costing a few dollars. The howling wind and loose things rattling outside. These can be fixed.
- Petra (6/5): Go just for the view. Wouldn't come back - Fantastic view Paying parking or leaving the car way behind and coming by on a dark path. Hotel looks quite worn out inside. No elevator if you have trouble with mobility.

- Kerry (8/5): Be careful arriving after dark, a beautiful place though! - The location is spectacular, we had a view of the islands and Seto sea which is stunning. The room was really spacious and the beds super comfortable. The location is on Mt Yashima an amazing spot to even visit and see the shrine and lookout area. The stairs are a bit brutal to lug bags up for the night. The parking is miles away unless you pay 800 yen for one of the 4 spots out the front, it’s 900m from the public parking area. The restaurant didn’t appear to be open, I think you need to book ahead. You will ideally get here by car. If you do get there late, you will likely struggle to locate the hotel, we visited the area in advance so we were fine but I would hate to get there after 6pm.
- Evelyn (10/5): Fabulous stay in a wonderful setting - Fabulous setting, fantastic view, wonderful friendly helpful staff. We had a delicious dinner over looking the fabulous view. Worth every penny. One of the hi lights of our Japan road trip. Nothing.
