Guest Reviews
- LIZETT (6/5): - The room was very tiny. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. A/C worked. However, check in process was tricky. No staff anywhere on the property. You have to go across to a diffrent property to check in. Incentive..They provided breakfast.
- Mark (6/5): - This property is annexed from a seperate hotel opposite. The location is fantastic and our room was quirky with its decor, although comically small and without any thrills.
We had issues with the included breakfast, it closes at 10 o'clock, but from 0900 until close the restaurant area couldnt cope with the footfall and we actually did'nt get to eat on either of our visits.
This is not a luxury stay, but well recommended for its location.
- Valerie (8/5): - Ideal location, clean overall and air conditioning was appreciated. Able to use only one plug as EU fit was too big as pins need to be thinner.
- Aversa (8/5): - Was ok
- Lina (10/5): - The location is fantastic, very convenient for exploring the city. The room was clean and had a pleasant smell, which added to the comfort of my stay.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The mattress was not as comfortable as I had hoped, and I was disappointed to find there was no laundry service available. Additionally, I encountered a few mosquitoes during my stay.
Despite these minor issues, I believe the experience was worth the amount I paid. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, ambiance, and prime location.
- Christina G (6/5): - V
- Mike (10/5): - Great place in the heart of Venice, perfect for solo travellers. Can’t complain about a private room with a free breakfast. Would stay again
- Naomi (6/5): Not as haunted as it seems - First thing to note: Check in diagonally across from the place, next door to the hotel with the yellow and blue chairs. Look for the stairs with the red carpet! We got in past midnight and there was still a friendly receptionist ready to greet us. The actual hotel across the street does seem abandoned, but it's nothing to worry about. For the room, the only thing that stood out was how hard the pillows were (still slept just fine). Personally, the mattress was a little too soft, but that varies from person to person anyways. There was functioning AC here that I looked forward to the second I stepped out onto the street. Location wise, it's pretty good! There's two public ferry stations nearby and you're close to a beautiful bridge over the Grand Canal (go at sunset!) The walk from the main station is doable too, even with a big backpack on. I think the breakfast there is complimentary and the service there was good. The food itself isn't anything noteworthy, but it is all you can eat. I'd book it again.
- Reyna (10/5): - The location was great. The room was beautiful, although light fixtures were falling apart and taped back together. There was standing water in the shower, which gave the room a slightly bad/moldy smell. Service was quick. Breakfast was amazing. Beautiful-looking hotel overall. Receptionists were friendly and helpful. The outdoor seating area was nice.
- Rick (8/5): - Excellent location for center of what is going on. Excellent restaruants, top notch Gongola rides and easy to not get lost.
- Aruna (8/5): - We stayed as a family of 4. We had to get key from the property opposite to the property. But the property was easily walkable from vaperroto. Very good location. The room was spacious. Only thing was ac wasn't working properly. The day we went was raining so dint require.
- Agnes (8/5): - Central
- Carolyn (4/5): - You have to check in at another hotel across the street which is only briefly mentioned in the description. This means that there is no one working at the front desk of this hotel.
The Wifi didn't reach my room, and I was stuck using my data plan.
The doors didn't have physical locks or any way to say Do Not Disturb meaning the housecleaners just came in when they wanted to, and didn't speak english. The second day I just said no to any housecleaning as I wasn't ready to leave my room yet.
The City tax is cash only, which they don't tell you until you are checking out.
And the door into the hotel doesn't close automatically. I found it left open a few times either by staff or other guests who expected it to close behind them, making me feel less safe.
- Samuel (4/5): - Bed was incredibly hard, you could feel every spring in the mattress. Only two pillows were supplied. To check in you had to completely leave the building and go to another one which meant also going to that building for extra pillows. We were only given one shower towel so had to ask reception for that. There is absolutely no floor space it the room to open up your luggage or unpack etc. Reception told us we could pay the city tax with card but when checking out we were told by another person that it must be paid in cash. Come prepared with cash. Breakfast was not great. Reception made us walk the key back to the desk instead of just letting us leave it in the room. House keeping came even after the first night which was unexpected and nice. Bedding was old and scratchy. Bathroom had a weird sewage smell. It was close to the boat dock so that was nice. Stayed here two nights. Overall, probably wouldn’t stay here again even though the price was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Sehr zentrale Lage.
SOLO QUE LA CALEFACCIÓN NO FUNCIONABA Y TENÍAMOS MUCHO FRÍO
- Ulrike (6/5): - Very central with 2 vaporetta stations nearby
- Dianne (6/5): Old and nasty experience - Very old and outdated hotel
Actually it is not even a hotel!
It is linked to another one
They were both places OLD as hell, outdated, stinky and with very small bathrooms
Won’t get another chance with me !
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A bit expensive for what it is. The breakfast really needs to be improved.
- Fabrice (10/5): - Hôtel calme et tranquille. La chambre est confortable. Le petit déjeuner était très varié.
Parfait pour un petit séjour à Venise.
- Karen (6/5): - The location was great, 5/10 min walk to the water bus. We had to check in to its sister hotel opposite and dine there for breakfast. The room itself was fine, the bunk bed didn’t look safe and so we put one mattress on the floor and the shower door was broken but all in all a good stay and for one or two night it was great.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. Don't do the same mistake as we did. The place looked nice in the pictures and the room we have chosen was rated 10/10.
But, once we have arrived at the spot, the place was incredibly dusty and the smell very bad inside the room. In order to do the check-in you have to go to Hotel Belle Arti which is right across the street (this detail could have also been mentioned on the page, not just in a small comment after the payment). Because of this, we ended up going in circles not knowing where our hotel is, since there is no advertisement/name outside the building.
The hotel is completely deserted, taken right from a horror movie: no one at the reception, no lights on, messy everywhere. It needs loads of renovation to make it feel cozy.
The only positive aspect to us was the neighbourhood, being close to everything.
- Annwoy (2/5): - Air condition didn’t work and had to move to another room where it was little better. Room is extremely small and property is advertising for 4 people to stay. Behavior of staff was fine but property itself is in poor shape! Location was fine.
- Sudeep (2/5): - This is the worst property I have stayed st. Room is so small that there is no space to move.
AC does not work, it seems to just blow warm air and does not even cool the small room.
Asked to change the room, but the person said there are no rooms available - when we contacted Expedia, then magically got another room which was on the lower floor, but still the room was not cooling. In the night, room was still not cooling and opening the window was not an option as mosquitoes were coming in. Went to the front desk at 3am to get a portable fan as I could not sleep ( front desk folks during the day said that they did not have any fan)..
Would definitely look at other hotel options.
- Bulbul (10/5): - I did not like the property.
- Stacey (8/5): - Great locations. Nice hotel.
- Monica Alexandrina (8/5): - This is a nice hotel, clean, quiet and very close to the Zattere vaporetto stop. The only thing that needs improvement is staff. The two ladies I interacted with did not seem very helpful or polite. This is too bad.
- paola (6/5): - albergo in ottima posizione
- paola (6/5): - albergo in ottima posizione
- Mike (6/5): Fair value - Good location but very basic. Good included breakfast
- Eduardo G (10/5): - Very nice room, nice in clean .Breakfast was very good.
- James (6/5): - Great location, hotel condition is very old but expected given the star rating and age. Honestly cant fault it for being a room to sleep in during our stay however it needs to be noted and honest regarding the worn down aspects of the room.
Allez-y!!
- Jessica (8/5): - The hotel was located in a great area. It was easy to get there by boat, and close to many things. We walked to all the major sites. The room was large, however there was only one outlet in the entire room. I have a cpap to plug in when i sleep and was unable to do that. It also made it difficult to charge our phones with only one outlet.
The bathroom compared to the room was very small and one of the buttons did not work.
Breakfast was delicious however the dinning room was small and we had to wait in line to be able to get a table and when we did get to eat, i had to sit infront of the main hotel door. When i tried to make room at our table for our child the staff advised me that we couldnt as we were blocking the door. I had only moved the table about 2 inches to allow the chair to move and dont feel that we blocked it anymore than before.
Overall, the room was large and as advertised although the lack of outlets a problem, the breakfast was delicious and the location was excellent.
- Alberto (6/5): It was good. - Was difficult to find the hotel, you need to check-in in the hotel at the front.
The personnel was kind all the time and the breakfast is very good.
The room always had a strange smell and the air conditioning did not work.
- AL (6/5): - The room looked like a brothel with red velvet, had fairly worn plumbing fixtures but very quiet and nice Venetian glass chandeliers
- Valentina (10/5): -
- Oscar Enrique (10/5): - Todo perfecto. La habitacion tal cual la fotos.
- Ulrik (8/5): Godt ophold men værelset under middel. Morgenmads udvalget sparsomt men fint.
- Steven (8/5): Small but cute. - Looks great on pictures but maintenance of bathroom could be better.
Small but cute. That's Venice.
- Kylie (2/5): - Barely any service and hard to find. Woke up with bug bites all over us and had no air conditioning.
- Maria (8/5): - I was pleased with the size of the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Not worth of money. Room was dirty, dark and small.
- Cynthia Eugenia (8/5): - Excelente muy limpio muy buen desayuno
- Carlos (10/5): - People were very professional. Location location location.
- Zita (10/5): Nagyon ajánlom - Nagyon szép hotel a város szívében.
Tiszta igényes,elit . A reggeli bőséges. Tökéletes.
- Anh (2/5): - Our room ac did not keep cold. The too
Was very old and had so many mosquitoes
- Tiziana (8/5): - Posizione incantevole E decisamente comoda per raggiungere, a piedi o in vaporetto, qualunque destinazione. Personale gentile e molto disponibile ad accogliere ogni esigenza. Tornerò sicuramente!
- roberto (8/5): Stanza pulita e posizione ottima, vicino Accademia - Stanza pulita e posizione ottima.
- Emma (4/5): - Honestly kind of gross af. Doesn’t look anything like the pictures. The bed is relatively comfy but the rooms are super hot and also very dated- don’t stay here if you can avoid it.
- Lee (6/5): Nice but no WiFi and uncomfortable beds - Very good location. Close to the local water bus station. Nice scenery and very clean.
The hotel beds were really uncomfortable because the mattresses were so thin. The pillows were like sleeping on a bed sheet again very thin. The WiFi never worked which was very disappointing as we booked the hotel because of working away from home and needing WiFi. When we asked at reception about the WiFi we was given a lot of excuses but everyday there was no signal at all on three separate devices.
Copieux. Propreté de la chambre satisfaisant. Très bien situé. Très proche du pont Accadémia.
- Mercedes (4/5): - I like, how the room was clean. However, it was bad due to bed bugs biting you. I had to figure out on my own; how to keep the electricity on in the room. I had to figure out the cable. I told the Bella Arti Hotel, who happens to be managing the property, it yellow building and it has construction surrounding. The address is wrong on orbits. I would like half of my money back
- Verified traveler (8/5): - esperienza positiva
- Mick (4/5): Would not recommend - Staff were just generally rude and electricity kept going off. I checked out a day early as a result
- Jacqueline (8/5): An adventurous hotel trip. - Very interesting experience finding the hotel, the only indication was a sheet of paper written in Italian only telling you too book in at hotel across the road. Then you had to play the guessing game of where your room was as no directions given at fron desk.
- Stephanie (8/5): - We loved the room and area, close to everything. Only problem was, we were bitten like crazy, and I think it was bed bugs!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It take us ages to find when we find it it was closed there was a notice saying we had to go to a different hotel! Not happy at all !
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok for short stay. - Hotel without service desk need to check in opposite hotel and breakfast served in near hotel. Small room but clean. Good location.
- Javier (2/5): Mediocre hotel at best. - The front desk personnel were rude and unhelpful. The breakfast was mediocre at best and the workers in the breakfast area were also rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I WILL never stay there again. Shame, but Venice has tons of options when it comes to hotels so no sweat there.
- Mohamed (6/5): - Not in my wildest dreams, I would have imagined a hotel without staff in the building. No reception in the building, instead we have to go to the opposite hotel Arti for anything. The rooms were nice but the building has the haunted feeling to it. to the extent that other clients were smoking inside the building.
- Astrid (6/5): Budget but clean and comfortable - Room was clean and comfortable even if decor is a bit dated. Was very hot during our visit but aircon worked well. Hotel staff all friendly and approachable. Breakfast was great and it was nice to sit in the courtyard (but mind the pigeons, they can be pesky!). Away from the super busy tourist area which was great and close to the Peggy Guggenheim gallery. Lots of little places to eat nearby.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I had to read customer reviews to find out to check in at sister hotel across the street, otherwise all was good. Breakfast was plentiful with courteous staff. Overall good. Mosquitoes are plentiful at night so windows had to remain sadly closed due to no screens. ...
- mohammed (2/5): Not clean - Room not. Clean.
Very dirty room
- Verified traveler (8/5): Just fine - Good stay. The hotel is across from a school, so the kids’ voices will charm you in the morning. Breakfast was fine. Nothing to write home about, but no particular complaints.
