- Tamer (2/5): - This hotel is inside the airport, difficult to find from outside terminal . The room was like a dormitory room , very small . Received no VIP benefits. The bed linen and comforter looked liked it hadn’t been washed or changed in a week . Pretty sure the beds had bed bugs , I scratched all night . At check in I was not given any Wi Fi info , I asked for a wake up call which I never got . Very old hotel which needs severe upgrading and certainly way over priced .

Offered a complimentary breakfast, not taken as we had a very early morning flight and then offered a lunch box instead. Appreciated the help of the porter with handling and delivering our 2 suitcases to our room. Always stay here before flights to Europe.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful! - Everything was wonderful and the staff were so kind and helpful! It was the perfect place for a short stay and made getting to our early flight so easy. The bed was very comfortable too, I wish I could’ve slept in it longer! If I ever have a very early or late flight in Izmir again I would definitely stay here again!

Rooms are basic but clean, they are comfortable and stocked well. I would say perfect for one night, I wouldn’t choose this hotel for long stays.

- John (2/5): This hotel sucks! - The air conditioning in this hotel is inadequate, I spoke with the front desk attendant and they said the temperature was “normal” but it’s way too hot. The window in the room is right next to a road and pebbles keep hitting my window. The English of the hotel staff is poor. I would strongly recommend NOT staying in this hotel. I have stayed in many hotels in Turkey and this one sucks, don’t stay here!

We were pleasantly surprised by how incredibly convenient the location was — right within the airport terminal. After claiming our baggage, we were in our room and ready to rest within just 10 minutes. It couldn’t have been easier or more efficient. The rooms were clean, modern, and completely soundproof, which allowed us to get a wonderful night’s sleep despite being right at the airport. The comfort and quietness were exactly what we needed after such a long day. In the morning, we also enjoyed a good breakfast that had a nice variety of options, setting us up well for the day ahead. For anyone planning a short trip to Ephesus or simply needing a restful stop after a long travel day, TAV Airport Hotel Izmir is an outstanding choice. It gave us exactly what we needed — comfort, convenience, and rest — all in one place. We were truly pleased with our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again if traveling through Izmir.

- SABINA (10/5): FANTASTIC Stay with friendly efficient service. - From the moment my husband & i arrived & went through Airport Security to enter the Tav Airport Hotel Izmir everything was fast & very efficient. The porter took our luggage straight from Security belt to our room. We were Upgraded free of charge & had a beautiful suite. They'd put loveheart swans & flower on bed. Wine, snacks & fruit & toiletries were also complimentary. As my husband & I are newly married this was just so thoughtful. The Reception Man "BURAK ŰLKER was AMAZINGLY KIND to my husband and I. In future we will always use this hotel when travelling to Izmir to visit Family. Tav Airport Hotel makes airport security much easier & breakfast was lovely. Lots of fresh produce & as you're already inside airport checking in for flight is much easier.

- Wing Pui (10/5): - TAV is a super convenient option if you have an early flight the next morning! It’s very close to the terminals with less than 2 mins walk to the check-in counters. The hotel is very well maintained with a 5 star for cleanliness. Staff were super helpful as well! Their breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had in Turkey with all the options you have in a traditional Turkish breakfast. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay again if I ever come visit Izmir and need a hotel stay at the airport!

- Selim mert (2/5): - I had a disappointing experience at Tav Izmir Airport Hotel due to the poor customer service from front desk agent Nilay Kalis. Given the hotel’s location at an international airport, I expected professionalism and basic hospitality, but unfortunately, that was not the case. My wife, who doesn’t speak Turkish, called the front desk to ask if the hotel had a US plug adapter. She asked politely in English, but Ms. Kalis immediately and dismissively responded, “No.” It was clear she either didn’t understand or wasn’t willing to assist. To clarify, I called the front desk myself. Ms. Kalis answered again, but this time, instead of outright refusing, she told me to “come downstairs and pick whichever works for me.” This response was unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy. After a long journey, we were exhausted, so I kindly asked if someone could bring the adapter to our room. She refused and insisted we come down to retrieve it. This lack of hospitality and unwillingness to accommodate guests’ needs was unacceptable. Front desk employees are the face of a hotel, and their attitude greatly impacts the guest experience. Unfortunately, Ms. Kalis’s dismissive and unhelpful demeanor reflected poorly on the hotel. I hope management takes action to improve service standards. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially to international travelers expecting basic courtesy and assistance.

- Kelvin (10/5): Great for the airport - Great hotel for the airport as it is within the terminal, you even get your own security check , literally a five minute walk from your room to check in desks. Breakfast also very good. Staff very helpful and courteous. My only complaint a small bottle of beer 355tl , 33cl.

- Michael (4/5): - This hotel is clean, modern and has good size rooms. The big plus is the buffet breakfast made by chefs dressed in white. Probably the best breakfast we have had in Turkey. But there is a problem: the two rooms that we had (we tried two) were ridiculously hot - far too hot for sleeping. It was February. The aircon was set at 25.5 degrees (!) and reception said that it couldn't be changed because it is centrally controlled (maybe by the airport). We opted to switch off the aircon altogether - but it was still too warm. And it meant that there was no air circulation which was just as bad. So we had a pretty terrible night's sleep. We nearly checked out! It's a pity because this hotel has so much going for it. It is literally in the airport (both domestic and international) and has its own security gate. Just needs to fix the climate control issue.

But the frosting on the cake, were the insanely friendly and helpful staff. From the second we arrived they took good care of us, and even helped get our bags up to our check in gate. Everyone we met was so friendly and kind. They are the main reason we plan on only staying here when we have future early flights out of Izmir.

However, finding it after dropping off our rental car is a bit of pain. The airport should improve signage to direct the way. We were very tired from our travels before we got here taking a ferry from Greece to cezme then a bus to Izmir. It was a relief to arrive at this clean and safe stay. We thought we might venture out I. The evening, but ended up just taking it easy and stayed in the hotel.
